We visited Phatburgers as a group of nine people and were absolutely thrilled. Despite the size of our group, everyone received their food at the same time and, above all, it was served hot – a huge plus!
The quality of the meat was clearly noticeable – juicy, perfectly cooked, and with great flavors. The side dishes were also fresh and well-portioned. Considering the high-quality ingredients and portion sizes, the value for money is truly excellent.
The service deserves special mention: The staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and kept an eye on everything, even with our large order.
We'll definitely be back – a clear recommendation for all burger lovers!
Small, unassuming shop near Mönckebergstraße, currently surrounded by construction sites.
We didn't need a reservation for the early afternoon.
We were seated quickly, and our order was taken shortly after.
The food is individually tailored, tasty, and very attractively presented.
The prices are affordable.
A short and delicious visit.
Downside: The restroom is located in the basement, which can only be reached via a staircase.
Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und überraschend gutes Ambiente. Gerne jederzeit wieder. Bei den Pommes Frites merkt man, dass sie nicht aus der Metro kommen, sondern selbstgemacht sind.
I had high expectations for Otto’s Burger, but unfortunately, my visit fell short in several areas. The overall experience was underwhelming, and there’s definitely room for improvement across the board.
Starting with the food: the burger arrived looking mashed and poorly assembled, which affected both presentation and texture. While the patty had potential, the overall execution made it difficult to enjoy. The sweet potato fries, which I was particularly looking forward to, were far too salty—overpowering any natural flavor they might have had.
Service was another letdown. Staff were slow to respond, and it was difficult to get attention even when the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. This lack of attentiveness took away from the overall dining experience.
As for the atmosphere, it was fairly average—nothing particularly memorable or inviting. It had the casual burger joint vibe, but without much personality or comfort.
Overall, Otto’s Burger didn’t live up to the hype. With improvements in food preparation, seasoning, and more responsive service, it could be a much better spot. For now, though, it’s a miss.
One of the best burgers I've ever had.
The tables are very close together, making it quite noisy.
The wait for the food and bill is long, but overall it's worth it because the taste is simply amazing!
I think the place is closed. And the business owner doesn't even care about people enough to report this to Google. It shouldn't be a very difficult process. We went all that way for this place and we bought a daily ticket for 9 euros, thinking that we would only go here and then go to the airport. It cost us money, time and boredom.
The burgers were good but the place is too small with 20 cm between each table. There is no service to the tables. You have to order and pick up everything at the counter.
Mass instead of class - never 5 stars in my life.
Brought: chilli cheese fries and double smashburger.
Short version: chilli cheese fries were more like normal fries with a bit of cheese in between and chilli powder and a lot of salt. So really sobering. And I like salt too, but it had nothing to do with chilli cheese.
The Smashburger was smashed to death. So with one of the worst smash burger patties I've ever had. The meat was still quite thick and the minced meat was completely dry, so the taste could have been minced meat from a discount store. It was just way too long with the thick one. So either you can smash burger and offer that or you can delete it, but something in between with "well-cooked" mince - please no!
The rest was OK. So rolls etc, but really nothing special. The burger was sauce-wise with ketchup. So it was really sobering, but you knew beforehand what you were getting yourself into with the sauce.
For the price it's actually quite outrageous. (€16.90 for 200g and €7 for the chilli cheese fries).
But since apart from the patty itself, a lot was done right (toppings and buns), it's just 3 stars. Even with the best intentions, it's far from 4 stars where I would say "hey get it or go again".
After thinking about it, only 2 stars. So price performance is totally bad here in combination with the taste, sorry. You can get a better experience somewhere else.
