Last night I was with my family First time eating there and was pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted and our children were given something to paint, which made going out to eat much more relaxing. Although it seemed full, our food came quickly and tasted wonderful. I was recommended the chipotle mayonnaise and it was really good. We'd love to come back

The food was terrific. There's no other way to say that. Great value for money. E.g. Cheeseburger already has 2 patties, juicy, fresh, well seasoned. We'll be back. !!! Please be sure to dust the lamps and between the panels on the wall!!!

This was my favorite burger shop in Cologne for a long time. Unfortunately something has changed with the owner. The quality has become so bad that I won't go there anymore. I hope I find a new burger place that has the quality of the old Freddy Schilling. The price has been completely optimized here - of course at the expense of quality... What a shame!!

I currently have to eat a gluten-free diet, so it's all still very new and quite complicated for me. Here we explicitly make sure that you really get gluten-free food. It was super tasty, prepared quickly and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Vegans also have a very large selection of dishes here. I was very satisfied and would definitely come again.

For me, Freddy Schilling has the best burgers in Cologne. The meat is always perfectly fried and has the best organic quality. The burgers are juicy, perfectly topped and shine with very special variations. Burgers with goat cheese or fried eggs are available and taste incredibly delicious. The shop at Eigelstein has plenty of seating and, especially in summer, you can sit outside. We have been going to Freddy Schilling for many years now and have never been disappointed. Homemade sauces and other things such as delicious salads are also always very good. The service is always super friendly and nice and it's always fun to be at Freddy Schilling's. Above all, the price-performance ratio is also good. Thank you!

We have been to Freddy Schilling (Eigelstein Cologne) several times and we always enjoyed it very much. However, today we were very disappointed. The burger was very dry and the vegetables were so limp and ice cold, as if they were a few days old and had just been taken out of the fridge. The burger just wasn't up to the quality we're used to. There was no salt on the fries either. In my opinion, these differences in quality are unacceptable. If you like visiting a restaurant, you always expect the same, good quality.

This is not an exclusively gluten-free restaurant, but the gluten-free dishes are prepared separately and people are careful to avoid cross-contamination. I have celiac disease and normally react to traces of gluten, but I don't have a reaction at the burger joints. And of course very tasty!!!!

Used to be my favorite spot for years. But somehow during the second half of the year, the staffs/owner have changed. Burger tastes nothing like original Freddy. Cheap buns, meat smashed with bone particles, oily and soft fries, and even different but worse ketchup are used…the worst part is we saw at least 3 mice running underneath the tables.

A shadow of its former self. From previously delicious meat to cheap meat burger mush that simply tastes terrible. It no longer has anything to do with what Freddy Schilling was about.

Whenever we are near Eigelsteintorburg we go to Freddy Schilling. Freshly made burgers, fried and seasoned to perfection. Price-performance is 1A here. Always my pleasure.

I want to keep it brief about the burgers, fries, etc.: Cool. Go there! Now I would like to tell you about a move by Freddy Schilling that has secured my eternal loyalty. One fine day I ordered a big meal online with my brother. Unfortunately, without realizing it, I ordered a lot of sauces but no fries at all. These gentlemen/women then called me and asked whether my order was correct. I then explained that of course I wanted fries and that I was just too stupid. They then added fries to the order without asking for more money. I don't want to motivate anyone to do the same in order to get fries. But this example shows that people work here who want to make customers happy. Rare these days. That's why you support the store so that future generations can also try the Big Kahuna and the perfect fries.

I ordered a burger with a vegan patty and got one with meat. The insight from the staff was rather moderate. I then got a new burger, but with “real” cheese on it, since with a vegan patty and vegan mayo you can't assume that the person wants to eat vegan... Unfortunately not that inspiring...

The food is very tasty and gluten-free is no problem at all. So great for celiacs. Burgers are very tasty and the value for money is just right. We always enjoy coming back. However, the fries were a bit very greasy and therefore not very crispy.

Mega delicious burgers and fries, great meat, great quality. The homemade fries taste really intensely of potatoes... but it was very full and I started to digest myself while I was waiting. So it's better to go there before your stomach growls ;)

The store has the charm of a canteen - which is quite nice - compared to the stylish competition. Ingredients were fresh, including the fries. Food came after about 5 minutes - and that would actually be the negative point I can think of, because the burger was lukewarm at best and the fries weren't really hot either. It was still tasty - and I would have happily waited 5 minutes longer for a hot burger with fries. Sometimes speed isn't everything.

For me the best burger in Cologne - and both the normal and sweet potato fries are great. Regular guest! The ambience in the Eigelstein, especially in summer, is wonderful.

Unfortunately, the smash cheeseburger with the vegan new meat patty was pretty basic and almost unseasoned. No trace of “smash”. Looked like any other burger and didn't taste particularly good either. The fries tasted ok, but were actually not acceptable for the price with additional costs for sauces. Conclusion: nothing special and quite expensive. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Great burgers with many variety to choose from, including side dishes and drinks. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Sit outside for a good view and people watching vibe. + They have 8 different kinds of sauces - ketchup, mayo, chipotle mayo, BBQ, habanero and a couple of local German sauces ;)

Very tasty burgers. So my favorite is definitely the Bunter Burger. Still very tasty. The Bunter is now called Habibi Burger 🍔 👍 Unfortunately no more Habibi. But the other burgers are also great and the sweet potato fries are very tasty!

Patty was hot the rest was cold to lukewarm. Fries, on the other hand, were fluffy and hot. If you get hungry spontaneously and aren't looking for anything special, this is the place for you. Price performance okay. 20€ with side dish and drink.

I went here with girlfriends and the citizen I had was perhaps one of the best burgers I've ever had. I had one with pineapple on the patty and it tasted incredibly good combined with the sauce. We were able to sit outside and didn't have to make a reservation. The staff was friendly. My friends had other burgers and they thought they were delicious too. I think you could order all of them as vegetarian burgers and there were also some vegan options. I thought it was great and will definitely come here again.

We were here on a Friday evening and sat outside. The food was really delicious! However, we waited a very long time for our food (almost an hour). Yes, it was very busy - but I think a restaurant has to be prepared for that.

OMG, what an amazing burger with well cooked chips and habanero ketchup! Washed down with a lovely tasting and refreshing beer. So glad we found this eatery. A place you must try when in Köln.

Vegetarian burgers are top notch. My favorite is Bruno's Brenner. The no beef patty has a good consistency.

I give it five stars even though the fries were very crumbly and we weren't made aware of the lunch offer. But our criticism was received very positively by the branch manager and even offered compensation in the form of another chip and a drink. At Freddy Schilling, customer orientation is very important, which is why I would be happy to come back at any time.

I've been here five times now, but I will definitely not be coming back. Until now, I didn't care that the ambience was hardly inviting, because the burgers were phenomenally good. However, something has changed in the last three months: the cheeseburger suddenly tastes like way too much mustard and the paddie like too much gristle. The Kahuna (beef) was as bland as I definitely remembered. The only consolation: the sweet potato fries were really good. Unfortunately, Freddy Schilling is now miles away from the “best burger in Cologne”. No recommendation!

Damn, they closed the kitchen at 9:50 p.m. Although the opening time was stated as 10 p.m., a waitress walked past us smiling and we were not informed about anything. We wanted to eat burgers, which is no world. We were disappointed. No burgers for us, we're going to the competition opposite!!!

We haven’t had a decent burger since we moved to Europe and this place was wonderful. We both ordered the California burger which comes with thick slab of burger with the usual lettuce and tomatoes topped with avocado and an egg sunny-side up. I got the sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the regular fries. We both enjoyed our burgers and thought the fries were crunch and moist without any burnt pieces. There’s ample outside seating on a nice afternoon. We will be back here the next time visiting Koln.

The burger is great, as is the raspberry lemonade. The direct comparison of the New Meat with the real meat is drastic, but it's okay. When it came to the fries, it was noticeable that there were an above-average amount of "crispy leftovers" in the portion, which tasted accordingly. A complete menu is worth the money.

Fries were limp and not freshly made. The saucepan is far too small for the price. The appearance of the (presumably) owner/manager is somehow unfriendly and arrogant/slightly annoyed. The store is simply unpleasant. Burgers are small and dry. No recommendation.

A goat cheese burger that deserves the name, super tasty! Ambiance a bit worn out and not inviting to linger, perhaps we would then try more. Price-performance borderline (21 € per person for burger/fries/drink). But the burger itself was brilliant, so I'll come back if the road takes me to Cologne again.

The burgers at Freddy Schilling are a phenomenon in themselves...never had such a delicious burger. It takes a good 30 minutes for the burger to be ready, but it's definitely worth the wait. The staff is super friendly! EC card payment is possible from €10. Absolutely recommended. We will also be back soon.

Not what it used to be. The buns are dry and the entire burger tastes bland. French fries look like the fries that are left in the deep fryer: lots of small leftovers, although crispy, taste only of fried fat.

Grundsätzlich schmecken die Burger gut, vor allem der Köllefornia Burger ist mein Favorit! Dennoch muss ich einen Punkt abziehen, weil der Preis stetig steigt und die Qualität abnimmt! Des Weiteren fehlt immer häufiger etwas bei der Bestellung. Die Burger sind gut verpackt, aber dafür die Pommes schlecht. Die fliegen durch die oben offene Tüte. Ich finde es bisschen ekelig, dass die Fahrer an das essen gehen können. Als Anregung würde ich dem Laden empfehlen die Tüten oben zu versiegeln.

For me personally the best burger in all of Cologne!! I think I can say that I tried all the good burger joints I knew in Cologne and there was always strong competition, but unfortunately over time they all decreased in quality while the price increased. Not with Freddy!!! Here it tastes just as incredible and heavenly as it did the first time years ago. As far as I know, nothing has changed in terms of price. At least not noticeable :) Juicy meat and incredibly good sauces! You have to try the herb quark!!

I actually love eating here, but something very shocking happened to me today where yesterday's food almost came back to me. I had ordered a burger and it was brought incorrectly with onions. When I pointed this out, the onions were simply removed with previously used gloves that had most likely already tackled the whole kitchen, then the pattie was simply put back on the grill with the ketchup and then just a bit of ketchup on it, a few onions were still on it when I got the burger, the meat was completely burnt, my stomach was up, and I didn't finish it either. Very disgusting, what I saw today made me doubt about eating there again.
