Really delicious food and very friendly staff. The only thing that bothered me was the ordering process. You order at the counter and then get your food brought to you. You take your drinks directly from the counter. In itself, this is perfectly fine. However, it gets difficult when the place is full. You wait in line for a long time, and if you want to split the bill, you have to decide whether to go to the counter one at a time or if someone else pays for everyone... I was there in a group of seven. It was difficult to get the drinks to the table without having to walk several times. Walking isn't so bad either. Unless the place is really busy. Then it becomes difficult to navigate through the crowded place with your hands full. In summary, I can only say that the place suffers from this method of ordering. As mentioned at the beginning, the food is really delicious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Anyone familiar with Freddy Schilling from Kyffhäuser Straße might not like this one. Yes, there are more seats, but the service was poor and the location was so-so. You can find nicer seating at the Eigelsteintorburg.

Typical burger joint, but with really good food! When I first tried the fries, I thought, "Who even needs burgers anymore?" Thinly sliced fries, golden and crispy, and served with a great sauce – perfect! But then came the Big Kahuna. Juicy patty, fresh salad, and no run-of-the-mill bun. Great, full marks, and highly recommended!

Simply wow. Really cool place with a fantastic veggie selection. The cheeseburger in this no-meat version was phenomenal.

We placed a bulk online order (15 burgers) after the store opened. The staff was super friendly, and our order was ready before the scheduled pickup time. They even added some delicious sauces. The burgers were delicious as always, including the gluten-free and vegan versions.

The burgers are fantastic, with really tasty vegetarian/vegan options. The fries are also super tasty, and the sauces are also fantastic – the truffle mayo and goat's lettuce are highly recommended. It's not immediately clear that you're supposed to go to the front of the counter. Perhaps a sign or a notice would have been better, as many waiters simply walked past us without telling us.

Eigelstein. The place isn't exactly big, but the staff is even bigger and VERY friendly. There were two of us, and our food was brought to the table together. I had a nice juicy burger with goat cheese, crispy fries on the outside and soft on the inside, and several sauces to choose from, all of which you can buy to take home.

Incredibly friendly service. All burgers are also available with vegetarian patties. A very decent selection of salads and drinks. The fries are traditionally very tasty and well salted.

Am Ende mussten wir länger als eine Stunde auf die Burger warten und das in einer Stadt, wo jede Woche gefühlt ein neuer Burgerladen eröffnet. Mein lieber Schilling, das darf nicht sein. Die Burger sind nach der Stunde kalt angekommen. Die Joppie Soße hat nicht wie eine richtige Joppie Soße geschmeckt und die Pommes sind zwar besser als letztes Jahr aber immer noch nicht gut. Was für Freddy Schilling, eher Freddy was killing my appetite.

For me, this is my go-to burger joint in Cologne and therefore my first choice. The goat's lettuce with fries and chili mayo is my absolute favorite. I highly recommend ordering it or eating it in. The prices are on the higher end, but reasonable.

A huge compliment. We had the Köllerfornia Burger with egg and avocado, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the blend of egg, avocado, sea salt, and pepper was a pure explosion of flavor! We'd be happy to have it again!

Has been my absolute favorite burger place in Cologne for about 6 months! As I often have to do business nearby, I go there almost every day with my dog ​​for early evening meals. Unfortunately, since the menu changed and they no longer serve Smashburgers, they also have new fries. Firstly, the burger: the bun and ingredients are unchanged, but in my opinion the patty is made of different meat, much thicker than before, and there are no Smashburgers available anymore. Even when I asked for a thick patty, the burger arrived but to be honest, the quality of the patty was not what I'm used to from Freddy's. The fries were not crispy at all and were wobbly. The meal with just burger, fries and dip now costs a whopping €16 and is unfortunately no longer worth the price! Tragically, one regular customer less!

We ate a cheeseburger and a large fries. It was my first time in a Freddy Schilling branch. At lunchtime all the tables inside were occupied. So, ate outside. The food was brought to the table in a friendly manner. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was limited. The hamburger was very dry and had a pretty simple topping. The smashed beef was very dry. I was really disappointed with the fries because there were a lot of burnt, dry pieces that couldn't be skewered and that you didn't actually want to eat. They were very salty. I wouldn't necessarily eat there again. But maybe it was just bad luck.

The selection was quite extensive. Special requests were taken into account. It was a solid burger but nothing extraordinary. Most importantly, there are gluten-free options available at a small additional cost!

What can I say: the best hamburgers in the republic can be found at Freddy Schilling in Cologne. Many people succeed in making good burgers, but making them outstanding seems to be a special art. This is successful here, which applies even more to the side dishes. The price-performance ratio is right, especially compared to the hyped chains, some of which are significantly more expensive (and much worse). A visit to Cologne without a visit to Freddy Schilling is unthinkable. 👍

This food shop is a real insider tip! I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and tastes simply great. The changing daily specials in particular always offer something new. Extra requests were also fulfilled without any problems. The atmosphere is relaxed, the furnishings are modern but still cozy. Particularly practical: There are enough parking spaces nearby and waiting times are pleasantly short. I'm already looking forward to my next visit

I'm really extremely disappointed. We ate at Freddy Schilling today, we made the choice because there is something for everyone there - supposedly. Also for vegans! Unfortunately my vegan order was not implemented 100%. Although I asked several times, I was repeatedly assured that this burger was vegan. In the end, of course it wasn't him! The burger patty was supposedly vegan, but the cheese was made from cow's milk, which was a health risk for me! Unfortunately, the reaction to this enormous mistake was very incompetent. I tried to explain to him that in criminal law this constitutes bodily harm, the same as giving pork to a Muslim. He just rolled his eyes at that. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it! I've had a stomach ache for about an hour now and it's only going to get worse in the foreseeable future. So thank you for nothing.

Unfortunately I have to agree with some previous reviews - the quality has declined significantly in recent years. Freddy Schilling's burgers used to be something very special, now they're just delicious... I don't know if it's the bread or something else... but I hope you get back to the level you once were.

We had it delivered via Wolt and the food itself was really great, but there were just too many things missing and in some cases the whole burger was put together incorrectly, which, in my opinion, at a price of 60 euros for 2 people (10 euro voucher already included). shouldn't be. A burger was delivered with the wrong meat so it couldn't be eaten by the person who ordered it. In addition, dips were ordered and paid for and never reached us. We subsequently received a voucher as compensation. However, this is only valid for 30 days. Since we don't come from the Cologne area and had the food delivered to the hotel, the voucher is worthless for us.

The fries and the burger were tasty, but the preparation of the food on the plate was unspectacular with some of the plates slightly broken. The system was also relatively confusing, you have to order at the counter (which is not signposted and meant that we had to wait outside) in order to then get the food to the table. We were last in Cologne six years ago and discovered this burger joint by chance. Then as now: very tasty burgers, and the same goes for the fries. Much better than the versions you'd find in fast-food chains.

Gluten-free burgers are always an experience. I admire that they can do it in such a small kitchen without contamination. Although I react strongly to the smallest traces, I have never had any problems with Freddy Schilling. On the contrary. Not only is it gluten-free but super delicious. The bun doesn't crumble and, with the sesame seeds, is reminiscent of real burger buns. I can particularly recommend the homemade creative sauces. I ate the citizen with meat, but there are various vegan options, including gluten-free. Always recommended!

Quality has decreased massively compared to 3 or 4 years ago! Nowadays, burgers consist of 80% bread, see pictures (this run-of-the-mill bread that you usually see in all the pizza/pasta/döner/burger shops). These used to be buttery brioche buns, now they are dry white rolls. I don't know what happened to you in the last 2 years, but whatever it was, it wasn't good! You have lost me as a customer... We had dinner there today. The store's reputation precedes it and that's why we spontaneously decided to eat there. We chose the Crispy Chicken Burger. It also came to the table very hot, which is rare for burgers. Unfortunately the chicken gave the impression of pressed meat. Nothing to do with chicken. The bread was ok and the rest on the burger…. 2 slices of cucumber, lettuce, ketchup. I was wondering why a factory is so cheap. There is clearly a compromise on quality here. Too bad.
