We're from out of town and were in Cologne for one night. We were looking for a place that also offers gluten-free food. SEARCHED - FOUND! The burgers were great, the patties were very juicy. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Ordering at the counter was easy, and the food was brought to our table quickly. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. We initially sat outside because there weren't any tables available inside. Then we moved inside without any problems.

Five Frankfurters in Cologne accidentally ended up here and ate the best burgers ever. If we ever find ourselves back in Cologne, we'll definitely be back. The variety is amazing, 6 points for even offering gluten-free options. Plus, the friendly staff—what more could you want? 😀

We enjoyed incredibly delicious burgers 🍔 and fries here 😌. The homemade lemonade was equally delicious 🤤. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is quite cozy. Hands down the best GF burger I have ever had. From the bread buns to the actual burger pate! Unreal stuff! England needs to step up its gluten free burger game! Staff are lovely and very accommodating. If we ever come back to cologne we will definitely be paying this place a visit again!

My husband ( regular diet ) and I ( Coeliac) came here for lunch by chance and I was delighted to find that they have so many gluten free options and even gluten free beer ! The burgers, chips , salad and sauces are all delicious and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Highly recommended !

For me, the best burger joint ever. Very friendly people, fun and relaxed, and leave you with a friendly feeling. I've been going here regularly for years; delicious burgers, great homemade sauces, and there are always special burgers or other promotions. Burgers are ready quickly (depending on the time of day and the crowd). The ambiance is something to discuss, but it suits me perfectly. Small but nice. It's not a restaurant in the traditional sense, but there are nice seats inside and outside. All in all, I highly recommend it!

I've eaten there several times when I'm at Ebertplatz. Never disappointed. Delicious food and friendly staff. You go home full and satisfied.

The burger was OK. It was also a purist burger with individual ingredients. The bun wasn't toasted, a regular white, tasteless bun. I prefer brown burger buns. The fat cow had that. The only worthwhile thing, according to the description, was that the burger patty was organic, from New Zealand cows. But the patty wasn't that well seasoned. There was not enough sauce. And that was for 18 euros... The Köllefornia chicken bowl was OK, for a 15-euro portion and not enough sauce, so I paid that much for an extra avocado and an egg. So, the price for three large McDonald's chicken salads. I ate one afterward to fill myself up. The biggest criticism is that you're "required" to tip before you're even served your food!! First, you tip voluntarily at the end, after the meal, based on your satisfaction. Should you expect worse service or food if you don't tip in advance? Secondly, this comes from the USA, where service staff rely on tips. Do you pay your employees so little? Or is it just greed? I'm giving it three stars because I ordered a custom burger, but the price/performance ratio was poor.

My son Sascha took me to Freddy Schilling today... I tried a Korean burger and was thrilled. The taste was absolutely delicious, but also the food... you could easily eat it with your hands without it falling apart. I hate having to eat burgers with cutlery because it doesn't work any other way. Here, the sauce just dripped a little (but that's how it should be). The ambiance is also very appealing, or rather cozy... the place seems very neat and clean. Thank you for the friendly service and the delicious food. Two thumbs up and an unconditional recommendation!

The burgers are not gluten-free or suitable for people with celiac disease. Spoonfuls of sauce are poured over both gluten-containing and gluten-free rolls. The staff didn't change gloves, even though they had previously touched gluten-containing products and then touched gluten-free products. I have celiac disease and wouldn't eat here again. However, my friends who eat gluten reportedly enjoyed the food very much.

Really delicious food and very friendly staff. The only thing that bothered me was the ordering process. You order at the counter and then get your food brought to you. You take your drinks directly from the counter. In itself, this is perfectly fine. However, it gets difficult when the place is full. You wait in line for a long time, and if you want to split the bill, you have to decide whether to go to the counter one at a time or if someone else pays for everyone... I was there in a group of seven. It was difficult to get the drinks to the table without having to walk several times. Walking isn't so bad either. Unless the place is really busy. Then it becomes difficult to navigate through the crowded place with your hands full. In summary, I can only say that the place suffers from this method of ordering. Typical burger joint, but with really good food! When I first tried the fries, I thought, "Who even needs burgers anymore?" Thinly sliced fries, golden and crispy, and served with a great sauce – perfect! But then came the Big Kahuna. Juicy patty, fresh salad, and no run-of-the-mill bun. The burgers are fantastic, with really tasty vegetarian/vegan options. The fries are also super tasty, and the sauces are also fantastic – the truffle mayo and goat's lettuce are highly recommended. It's not immediately clear that you're supposed to go to the front of the counter. Perhaps a sign or a notice would have been better, as many waiters simply walked past us without telling us.

We placed a bulk online order (15 burgers) after the store opened. The staff was super friendly, and our order was ready before the scheduled pickup time. They even added some delicious sauces. The burgers were delicious as always, including the gluten-free and vegan versions.

Am Ende mussten wir länger als eine Stunde auf die Burger warten und das in einer Stadt, wo jede Woche gefühlt ein neuer Burgerladen eröffnet. Mein lieber Schilling, das darf nicht sein. Die Burger sind nach der Stunde kalt angekommen. Die Joppie Soße hat nicht wie eine richtige Joppie Soße geschmeckt und die Pommes sind zwar besser als letztes Jahr aber immer noch nicht gut. Was für Freddy Schilling, eher Freddy was killing my appetite.

For me, this is my go-to burger joint in Cologne and therefore my first choice. The goat's lettuce with fries and chili mayo is my absolute favorite. I highly recommend ordering it or eating it in. The prices are on the higher end, but reasonable.

Has been my absolute favorite burger place in Cologne for about 6 months! As I often have to do business nearby, I go there almost every day with my dog ​​for early evening meals. Unfortunately, since the menu changed and they no longer serve Smashburgers, they also have new fries. Firstly, the burger: the bun and ingredients are unchanged, but in my opinion the patty is made of different meat, much thicker than before, and there are no Smashburgers available anymore. Even when I asked for a thick patty, the burger arrived but to be honest, the quality of the patty was not what I'm used to from Freddy's. The fries were not crispy at all and were wobbly. The meal with just burger, fries and dip now costs a whopping €16 and is unfortunately no longer worth the price! Tragically, one regular customer less!

We ate a cheeseburger and a large fries. It was my first time in a Freddy Schilling branch. At lunchtime all the tables inside were occupied. So, ate outside. The food was brought to the table in a friendly manner. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was limited. The hamburger was very dry and had a pretty simple topping. The smashed beef was very dry. I was really disappointed with the fries because there were a lot of burnt, dry pieces that couldn't be skewered and that you didn't actually want to eat. They were very salty. I wouldn't necessarily eat there again. But maybe it was just bad luck.

The selection was quite extensive. Special requests were taken into account. It was a solid burger but nothing extraordinary. Most importantly, there are gluten-free options available at a small additional cost!

This is successful here, which applies even more to the side dishes. The changing daily specials in particular always offer something new. Extra requests were also fulfilled without any problems. The atmosphere is relaxed, the furnishings are modern but still cozy. I'm really extremely disappointed. We ate at Freddy Schilling today, we made the choice because there is something for everyone there - supposedly. Also for vegans! Unfortunately my vegan order was not implemented 100%. Although I asked several times, I was repeatedly assured that this burger was vegan. In the end, of course it wasn't him! The burger patty was supposedly vegan, but the cheese was made from cow's milk, which was a health risk for me! Unfortunately, the reaction to this enormous mistake was very incompetent. I tried to explain to him that in criminal law this constitutes bodily harm, the same as giving pork to a Muslim. He just rolled his eyes at that. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it! I've had a stomach ache for about an hour now and it's only going to get worse in the foreseeable future. So thank you for nothing.

Freddy Schilling's burgers used to be something very special, now they're just delicious... I don't know if it's the bread or something else... but I hope you get back to the level you once were.

We had it delivered via Wolt and the food itself was really great, but there were just too many things missing and in some cases the whole burger was put together incorrectly, which, in my opinion, at a price of 60 euros for 2 people (10 euro voucher already included). shouldn't be. A burger was delivered with the wrong meat so it couldn't be eaten by the person who ordered it. In addition, dips were ordered and paid for and never reached us. We subsequently received a voucher as compensation. However, this is only valid for 30 days. Since we don't come from the Cologne area and had the food delivered to the hotel, the voucher is worthless for us.

The system was also relatively confusing, you have to order at the counter (which is not signposted and meant that we had to wait outside) in order to then get the food to the table.
