Mega delicious burgers and fries, great meat, great quality. The homemade fries taste really intensely of potatoes... but it was very full and I started to digest myself while I was waiting. So it's better to go there before your stomach growls ;)

I loved this concept. The burgers were amazing, as were the sweet potato fries. It's a very casual setting, with great service and friendly staff. I can highly recommend the burgers and fries.

Cool shop - order and pay at the counter. Delivered to the table. There are gluten-free rolls - very good! Portions look small but are fair. The taste is great - and the prices are good too. Gladly again!

The store has the charm of a canteen - which is quite nice - compared to the stylish competition. Ingredients were fresh, including the fries. Food came after about 5 minutes - and that would actually be the negative point I can think of, because the burger was lukewarm at best and the fries weren't really hot either. It was still tasty - and I would have happily waited 5 minutes longer for a hot burger with fries. Sometimes speed isn't everything.

Unfortunately, the smash cheeseburger with the vegan new meat patty was pretty basic and almost unseasoned. No trace of “smash”. Looked like any other burger and didn't taste particularly good either. The fries tasted ok, but were actually not acceptable for the price with additional costs for sauces. Conclusion: nothing special and quite expensive. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

For me the best burger in Cologne - and both the normal and sweet potato fries are great. Regular guest! The ambience in the Eigelstein, especially in summer, is wonderful.

Great burgers with many variety to choose from, including side dishes and drinks. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Sit outside for a good view and people watching vibe. + They have 8 different kinds of sauces - ketchup, mayo, chipotle mayo, BBQ, habanero and a couple of local German sauces ;)

Very tasty burgers. So my favorite is definitely the Bunter Burger. Still very tasty. The Bunter is now called Habibi Burger 🍔 👍 Unfortunately no more Habibi. But the other burgers are also great and the sweet potato fries are very tasty!

Patty was hot the rest was cold to lukewarm. Fries, on the other hand, were fluffy and hot. If you get hungry spontaneously and aren't looking for anything special, this is the place for you. Price performance okay. 20€ with side dish and drink.

I went here with girlfriends and the citizen I had was perhaps one of the best burgers I've ever had. I had one with pineapple on the patty and it tasted incredibly good combined with the sauce. We were able to sit outside and didn't have to make a reservation. The staff was friendly. My friends had other burgers and they thought they were delicious too. I think you could order all of them as vegetarian burgers and there were also some vegan options. I thought it was great and will definitely come here again.

We were here on a Friday evening and sat outside. The food was really delicious! However, we waited a very long time for our food (almost an hour). Yes, it was very busy - but I think a restaurant has to be prepared for that.

OMG, what an amazing burger with well cooked chips and habanero ketchup! Washed down with a lovely tasting and refreshing beer. So glad we found this eatery. A place you must try when in Köln.

Vegetarian burgers are top notch. My favorite is Bruno's Brenner. The no beef patty has a good consistency.

I give it five stars even though the fries were very crumbly and we weren't made aware of the lunch offer. But our criticism was received very positively by the branch manager and even offered compensation in the form of another chip and a drink. At Freddy Schilling, customer orientation is very important, which is why I would be happy to come back at any time.

I've been here five times now, but I will definitely not be coming back. Until now, I didn't care that the ambience was hardly inviting, because the burgers were phenomenally good. However, something has changed in the last three months: the cheeseburger suddenly tastes like way too much mustard and the paddie like too much gristle. The Kahuna (beef) was as bland as I definitely remembered. The only consolation: the sweet potato fries were really good. Unfortunately, Freddy Schilling is now miles away from the “best burger in Cologne”. No recommendation!

Damn, they closed the kitchen at 9:50 p.m. Although the opening time was stated as 10 p.m., a waitress walked past us smiling and we were not informed about anything. We wanted to eat burgers, which is no world. We were disappointed. No burgers for us, we're going to the competition opposite!!!

We haven’t had a decent burger since we moved to Europe and this place was wonderful. We both ordered the California burger which comes with thick slab of burger with the usual lettuce and tomatoes topped with avocado and an egg sunny-side up. I got the sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the regular fries. We both enjoyed our burgers and thought the fries were crunch and moist without any burnt pieces. There’s ample outside seating on a nice afternoon. We will be back here the next time visiting Koln.

The burger is great, as is the raspberry lemonade. The direct comparison of the New Meat with the real meat is drastic, but it's okay. When it came to the fries, it was noticeable that there were an above-average amount of "crispy leftovers" in the portion, which tasted accordingly. A complete menu is worth the money.

Fries were limp and not freshly made. The saucepan is far too small for the price. The appearance of the (presumably) owner/manager is somehow unfriendly and arrogant/slightly annoyed. The store is simply unpleasant. Burgers are small and dry. No recommendation.

A goat cheese burger that deserves the name, super tasty! Ambiance a bit worn out and not inviting to linger, perhaps we would then try more. Price-performance borderline (21 € per person for burger/fries/drink). But the burger itself was brilliant, so I'll come back if the road takes me to Cologne again.

The burgers at Freddy Schilling are a phenomenon in themselves...never had such a delicious burger. It takes a good 30 minutes for the burger to be ready, but it's definitely worth the wait. The staff is super friendly! EC card payment is possible from €10. Absolutely recommended. We will also be back soon.

Grundsätzlich schmecken die Burger gut, vor allem der Köllefornia Burger ist mein Favorit! Dennoch muss ich einen Punkt abziehen, weil der Preis stetig steigt und die Qualität abnimmt! Des Weiteren fehlt immer häufiger etwas bei der Bestellung. Die Burger sind gut verpackt, aber dafür die Pommes schlecht. Die fliegen durch die oben offene Tüte. Ich finde es bisschen ekelig, dass die Fahrer an das essen gehen können. Als Anregung würde ich dem Laden empfehlen die Tüten oben zu versiegeln.

For me personally the best burger in all of Cologne!! I think I can say that I tried all the good burger joints I knew in Cologne and there was always strong competition, but unfortunately over time they all decreased in quality while the price increased. Not with Freddy!!! Here it tastes just as incredible and heavenly as it did the first time years ago. As far as I know, nothing has changed in terms of price. At least not noticeable :) Juicy meat and incredibly good sauces! You have to try the herb quark!!

I actually love eating here, but something very shocking happened to me today where yesterday's food almost came back to me. I had ordered a burger and it was brought incorrectly with onions. When I pointed this out, the onions were simply removed with previously used gloves that had most likely already tackled the whole kitchen, then the pattie was simply put back on the grill with the ketchup and then just a bit of ketchup on it, a few onions were still on it when I got the burger, the meat was completely burnt, my stomach was up, and I didn't finish it either. Very disgusting, what I saw today made me doubt about eating there again.

I went there many times, the burgers quality is very different from one day to the other. 3 weeks ago, it was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked. Yesterday, the meat was totally overcooked and thus the burger was not so nice. But the worst is that I got totally sick 1h after eating (food intoxication). Hence 1 star

We were here for the first time. The table was dirty, and since the ketchup on the table was already hard, it was obvious that the place hadn't been cleaned in a while. Next, we were not particularly politely informed that we had to order inside, which is not usual but is fine. The order and the general way the employees worked was very hectic, but they weren't unfriendly at that moment. My companion and I ordered separately one after the other. While my companion's order came within 5 minutes, I waited about 30 minutes for my meal. I suspect that I have been forgotten, but this has not been confirmed to me. My companion and I were therefore forced to eat separately. The food was good, a bit too salty, but that didn't make it inedible. Not all of the flavors came through through the flavorful sauce/meat. All in all good, but not worth another visit. As soon as we left the table, the table was cleared up in a flash.

As a long-time customer, I was mostly satisfied with the food until my order or delivery today. However, when I got my order, the fries were spread all over the bag and the burgers were squeezed into the delivery box and therefore looked unappetizing. I didn't let that fool me and started eating what I ordered. I have to say that the burgers were one of the worst burgers I have ever eaten. The taste was terrible and the burger was as dry as the sole of a shoe. I didn't know anything like this from Freddy's before and I'm very disappointed. So I'll stay away from the store for now. It looks like the quality of the store is decreasing. A pity!!!!!!!!!!

First, I have been going to Freddy Schilling restaurant for about 6 years. The most important feature is that gluten-free burgers and potatoes are on the menu. Also, you don't have to wait long when ordering, and there is a wide variety of hamburger buns and side dishes. By paying a few more euros, you can turn the burger you want into a completely different taste. It is quite difficult to find a seat as all the tables are always full. Toilets are always clean and useful. One of the best burger joints in Cologne. There is also a branch in Kyffhäuserstrasse.

Probably the best burger in all of Cologne if you eat in-restaurant. If you order online it's still pretty good but, as it always is with take-out burgers, it's just not the same so do try to eat there. Salad is great and I'm usually not the salad-y type. The fries and especially their sauce are supreme, too. You can get every burger in a vegetarian or vegan version, which I haven't tried myself cuz I like myself some meat, but I'm told they're really good, as well. And they've got a range of drinks with more than just your usual Coca Cola sodas and water. Definitely worth checking out (or visiting almost every friday).

Freddy Schililing was my first gluten free burger in Cologne and in Germany, all together. What a great place. The staff reassured me that their bread was not only glutenfrei but good, and I can tell you not that they were 120% correct. Their truffle mayo was great on my burger. The fries there also come in a shareable size. Hope you all can experience it the way that I did!

Would have liked to have given a better review as the ingredients seem to be high quality and the chef also has a clue. BUT, the burger I ordered was cold, as were the fries, which were just leftovers, i.e. small pieces of fries. The price when ordering food is at least the same as in a restaurant, so the quality should also be appropriate. (The delivery route was short)

You are turned away from the house at 9:25 p.m. on a Friday evening with the words that you are “closed”. This happened again and again. If you treat your few customers like that with overpriced prices, then you shouldn't be surprised if you go bankrupt.

My friend and I were there early in the evening on April 5th, 2024 and both ordered a citizen menu. We both had the smashed cheese which was delicious! Plus regular fries and the Bacon Jam Fries to try. Yes... the fries... they were well seasoned, but unfortunately they were very hard, so you couldn't even pick them with a fork. Personally, I'm on the crispy fries team, but that was really close to the limit... Please don't fry the fries 2-3 times or leave them in for too long. The bacon jam was again very tasty! Unfortunately, the delicious burger and the bacon jam weren't enough for 5 stars. The poor fries... and the 30-40€ count for 2 people. Maybe you'll have a better day in the kitchen 😊 Greetings!

The Smashed Cheese Burger was a 4/5. The taste of all the ingredients came through well and harmonized perfectly, but the 4.50 euros for an additional patty had a bad aftertaste. The fries were 1/5, bland in taste, and fried to death, the portion of ketchup was a bad joke, and quite expensive. If you only eat the burger, a clear recommendation. You can get good smashed burgers and fries at, for example, Fette Kuh or Atawich.

There are only deductions for the B grade for the ambience. It's cozy, but unfortunately it's just too cold inside, especially in winter. That should be more insulated. However, the food is - typical of Freddy Schilling - an absolute burner! My favorite is definitely the goat burger. In my opinion one of the tastiest burgers in Cologne! Service is also top notch. Hands down the best burger place in Koln! There are 2 locations and both are amazing! The food is fresh and made in front of you, the burger choices are few but still varied - with plenty of options for sides. Beers and soft drinks are also available. It's always busy so you may have to wait for seating but there is outdoor seating available or you may have to share a table. The service is prompt and helpful Gave it 4/5 for atmosphere because it felt like there was an odd bathroom smell - could have been due to where we were seating. However, I know ill go back again and again because it's the best burger spot in the city.
