Shiso Burger Hamburg in Hamburg

Small, unassuming shop near Mönckebergstraße, currently surrounded by construction sites. We didn't need a reservation for the early afternoon. We were seated quickly, and our order was taken shortly after. The food is individually tailored, tasty, and very attractively presented. The prices are affordable. A short and delicious visit. Downside: The restroom is located in the basement, which can only be reached via a staircase.

So it's really tasty and the service is super nice. The shop is chic. However, we know the burgers from Berlin and they are really better there (at least applies to the salmon).

Very good burgers, a little out of the ordinary. Anyone looking for new taste experiences has come to the right place. Plus delicious drinks! The only thing you could wish for was more comfortable chairs and less of a snack bar feel, but I also like the style of the furnishings. Nice shop!

The food was very tasty. The burgers are available either traditional or with fish. The waitress was very nice and we felt very comfortable.

Mi pareja y yo nos topamos con este lugar temprano el lunes 3 de marzo. El lugar era bastante tranquilo. Preguntó a la camarera sólo por bebidas que dijo que estaba bien. Pedí 2 vasos de vino blanco. Teníamos 3 vasos cada uno totalizando 6 vasos. Afuera nuestro taxi estaba esperando así que pedimos la factura que pagué con pago sin contacto. 88 € me pareció bastante empinado pero pagué y me fui. Comprobé mi recibo esta mañana. Nos cobraron por 4 copas de vino y 2 botellas de vino. Sobrecarga realmente de 40 €. Tal vez un error en mi nombre no cuestionarlo, que Tom se aproveche. Revisa tu factura.

Go here for burgers with a creative twist. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The burgers are zesty and delicious. The portions can be a bit on the small side. This is certainly not cheap fast food, so prepare to spend some money. Still, it is well made and satisfying. The different taste combinations are well thought through and beautifully executed.

You should definitely eat here! Super interesting approach, with a very unique burger experience as a result. The chili-lemon burger is highly recommended. The fries are also crispy and delicious. The restaurant is decorated with great attention to detail and fits perfectly with the food. The presentation of the burgers in the small wooden baskets completes the experience. An all-round successful concept that does everything right.

Extraordinary... Definitely again

Good burger but really bad service. The waitress has a very cold attitude towards the clients and zero respect. Like even when you are saying thank you all the time to her - she won’t even look at you and zero response.

We have been looking for a place that serves good Burgers around Jungfernsteig for a long time. I can say we finally found it. Delicious and juicy meatballs served with crispy and fresh greens. The bread is specially delicious. I recommend you take a break from your tiring shopping and try it.

The burgers were very tasty!! Unfortunately our fries weren't that good, they were fried for too long and were very "empty", as if you had eaten air and just a lot of small parts. 🍔

I really enjoyed the steak burger and the bulgogi burger. Not a classic burger but perhaps that's why it's worth trying. In my opinion one of the best burgers I've ever eaten.

Very disappointing visit! Had great expectations based on the reviews and trend of the Bao Bun Burgers. Ambiance: Furnished to match the style, but placed far too closely. This means more customers are possible at the same time, but this leads to... Service: …..does not contribute positively. Long waiting times. Waited 45 minutes from ordering for two burgers. Fries were simply served after just 10 minutes. So you have to snack on the fries as a starter or cold with your burger later?! No question, employees are “nice” but unprofessional. Food: Where to start….Cheeseburger fried to death, even though the menu says “we fry our burgers medium rare”. Overload mayonnaise and ketchup (portioned approximately in tablespoons). Bao Buns are not really fluffy, i.e. actually an average burger bun in a trendy design. Chicken burger was burnt and dry. After complaining, I was kindly given a new one, which was absolutely fine with the chicken, but was also bathed in sauce again. Overall, more appearance than reality and our worst restaurant visit in three days in Hamburg. Too bad!

We came here and waited 20 minutes for the drinks and then another 40 minutes for the fries. The burgers came another 20 minutes later than the fries and almost half of what we ordered was sold out. And the burgers didn't taste that good either, really a disappointment, the place in Berlin is much better (We had reserved the table) And the burgers were also forgotten at first, so we asked where they were

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was rather disappointing. We had to wait a long time for service and then for the drinks, which really spoiled the first impression. The service was also slow and very inattentive. Another negative point was that the burger buns were out but this was not communicated to us - this is a communication issue that definitely needs to be improved. The service seemed listless overall, which had a negative effect on the atmosphere. The only positive thing was the burger – it was really good and tasty. The ambience was also okay, but the other deficiencies unfortunately overshadowed the positive impression. Overall, the service could clearly be improved, which unfortunately made the stay unpleasant.

Never again! After a very unfriendly greeting and seating assignment, we were allowed to order from the same lady. They already had half of the menu out of stock and that at 3 p.m.! After half an hour we got our drinks. After an hour the fries but no burger. Since the kitchen and the owners had forgotten that they were running out of burger buns, they had to quickly get them. However, this was not communicated in any way and we had to wait 2 hours for our burgers. Some guests left the shop and chaos was caused. The burger was OK but didn't live up to the high ratings from here. Therefore, the lousy service prevailed, who came across as bored, annoyed and incompetent. As well as the boss of the store who didn't apologize in any way or care about the guests.

Very tasty burgers and side dishes. You should try the homemade lemonade and teas. The price is more than ok for the quality.

Fries and Burger were really good. We paid 31 Euros for 2 burgers and 2 fries. The staff was not very friendly. Our orders arrived late. The part where we sat was not very comfortable. I think it's because we went without reservation :)

Great burgers for sure. Sweet potato fries were awesome too. Crowded night when we got here but managed to get a table. The service was good and our burgers were delivered in reasonable time. Definitely will come back to this place again in future.

A small restaurant with delicious burgers and side dishes. We went spontaneously at lunchtime and got a seat without any problem. The service was good, we didn't wait too long for our order. The portions are great, not too little and not too much. Parking is a bit difficult, like everywhere in the city, but with luck you can get a parking space. Otherwise, it's best to use public transport and walk ☺️ I can only recommend the Shiso Burgers and would happily go there again 🍔🫛

Cozy little place. I had the buldak burger and it was deliciously spicy. I also had the kimchi which had a good amount of heat while not being too overpowering in spicy heat. Would love to go again.

When asked if the tuna burger should be medium, I expect medium and not well done. The salmon burger was also over-grilled and too greasy due to too much mayo. The sweet potato fries were soggy and greasy. Service misses, forgets about us and other supplements. Sanitary facilities broken and dirty. Overall ok, it could be better!

We waited 40 minutes for our food after ordering. Tables that ordered after us got their food and finished eating before ours arrived. We asked a server about it and a few minutes later we got our food. I got the bulgogi burger and it was good but it was cold when I got it which was a shame after having waited for so long. The fries were really hot and crispy.

The Bulgogi burger is incredible, you have to try it. It's worth a visit, they have them in 15 locations around the world. I visited in Hamburg, but there are in Portugal, France, Austria and others.

We ordered takeaway and were more than thrilled, after 15 minutes the food was still warm! The service was friendly and quick. It tasted great, we had the chilli lemon burger and would recommend it to others.

The food is really good. The burgers are super delicious. The service was varyingly attentive. Sometimes really courteous, sometimes very matter-of-fact. There's something else going on. (There should always be an “I hope you enjoyed everything.”) The location is rather uncomfortable and a bit rocky. A lot could be achieved with a little wall paint. The location and the food are worth the price, for the rest I would come back here as a second choice.

I really loved all my previous times here, but this time I came for lunch and: - sweet potato fries were the worst to be honest, I didn’t finish even half - the burgers taste was great as always, but the bun was cold and too soft, usually it felt like it has a little crisp - I have been waiting for my food for 40 minutes, which I don’t think is acceptable for lunch time plus fries were brought separately - the waitress was a little arrogant to all the guests, so it didn’t feel welcoming - the smell in the toilets is really bad Shame that the place got a bit worse than it was before

Shiso Burger is a cosy, yet rather nice burger focused place. There is are two more classic burgers but the star perhaps is the Blulgogi Burger. The fries as well sweet potato fries are the best fries in Hamburg. It's not a joke. They're that good.

Really delicious burger! The only thing that doesn't fit into the overall picture is the coffee filter above the lamps.

They are very good burgers! 🍔 and the sweet potatoes where amazing! They bring the fries potatoes late when we nearly finish our Burguer that is why I don’t give all 5 . Other than that super nice place !!! Recommend it !

Their motto is bringing the best of the two worlds and by that they mean a fusion between Asian cuisine and the burger . I went for the bulgogi burger and it was top. Their burgers are served in a bamboo steamer which also adds to the experience. The meat is Angus .

I used to visit Shiso Burger every time I traveled to or from Denmark and it was always an amazing experience. Until today. I am sorry but I must say the quality plummeted. The burger was overdone, there was nearly no koriandr, you could barely feel the chilli & lime components in the mayo and the cheese wasn't even melted properly (and cold). The bun was lovely as it used to be. Even bigger disappointment were the fries. They were super oily, they felt like the cheapest premade fries to be honest. I sincerely hope this was a one-time problem even though the recent reviews seem to show that there are some recurring problems. Truly disappointing visit since I kept recommending this place to all my friends.

Wir waren mehrmals bei Shiso und grundsätzlich zufrieden vor allem mit den Produkten, bis wir bei 2 online Bestellungen Probleme erhielten. Einmal wurde unsererseits alles bezahlt aber nur ein Teil geliefert und lauwarm, das zweite Mal kam eine Bestellung über chf 98 gar nicht an. Wir kontaktierten den Lieferdienst, der sagte uns wir sollen uns an Shiso wenden. Shiso konnte und wollte nichts unternehmen und haben auch nicht nachgeliefert, obwohl wir innerhalb einiger Monate für über tausend Franken dort assen insgesamt. Ich kann allen nur von Shiso abraten, vor allem vor online Bestellungen. Aber auch als wir persönlich vorbeigingen glaubte man uns zwar,aber gab trotzdem keinen Nachlass bei einer Neubestellung oder einen Gutschein, einfach nichts. Daher wollen wir nun nichts mehr mit Shiso zu tun haben. Sehr schlechter Service, kein Entgegenkommen bei Problemen.

After 15 minutes we were finally able to order, and after another 35 minutes the food arrived: The burgers were cold, the tuna was half raw & the fries were broken fries (most of them max. 3cm long). It's a shame about the otherwise probably good food. The organization should be reconsidered.

We waited outside the door for a table and then waited another 20 minutes inside to order. It took 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The fries were already cold when they were served. The food is quite good, but is unfortunately overshadowed by the subpar service. Too bad :(

Absolute Master Class. The Bulgogi Burger tastes absolutely great. The bun is fluffy, the toppings are fresh, and the meat is juicy. I hope that a Shiso Burger will open in Cologne at some point.

Hello, I would like to place a complaint as me and my husband have been robbed of our dinner by one of your delivery drivers. Hamburg 28/10/2024 time 17:50 Feedinandstraße 15, the man laughed in my husband’s face said “Yes boss” and then drove off with our dinner marking it as delivered he was driving a red car. There was also another man in the passenger sit. We were really let down by this service and obviously don’t trust it anymore. You might want to look into your employees.

Service was super nice and attentive. 🙏Atmosphere and toilets are ok. Nothing special. 🤷‍♂️ Now for the food: We had the cheeseburger and the chili lemon burger in large + kimchi and coleslaw. Kimchi was tasty, coleslaw was ok. The burgers were both very weak in taste, no spices or roasted aromas were tasted. We were very disappointed. Maybe the chef was just having a bad day. All in one: A store with normal, too small, bourgeois stores that are far too expensive and far from living up to the hype. Very unfortunate. We were hoping for a lot more, especially because of all the recessions and YT videos.

The combination of Asian flavors and classic burgers is fantastic. I tried the bulgogi burger – very tasty and perfectly seasoned. The staff was friendly and helpful. Another highlight: the sweet potato fries! I'd love to come back!

Of course, we also have to try these hyped burgers. The burgers are delicious, the bun is special here. They have a different consistency than normal burger buns. The service was a bit overwhelmed during our visit. We would definitely have ordered something more, but no one came. Ambiance kept very simple…a bit uncomfortable. I don't think you should stay too long. I think we'll come back again when we're nearby.

The burgers are delicious and although it says chili in the description, it’s actually not. I did not really like the fries. They were soaked in oil, but I totally recommend the burger.

We chose Toad Burger, sweet potato fries, fries and edamame. Delicious! We found the sweet potato fries better than the normal ones. The burger was something different, but very tasty. :) The staff was super nice and friendly!

Unfortunately, Google reviews and reality are different. The burgers weren't that tasty because the meat was a bit tough and we said twice what drinks we wanted, in the end they brought us others😅 The tables are very close together and there isn't much space inside. We won't go there anymore.

Food was delicious. But there could be one or two more unusual things. A bit drafty near the window. If we had easily had a dessert, the service would have shown up or at least thrown it in our direction. But for a 'snack' it's okay.

Wow, cool! Extremely delicious burger! Pink in the middle, fresh meat. Very well grilled, fresh lettuce, tomato. Super fast serving: I said "I know what I want" and ordered at the counter and had the burger 5 minutes later. Fries relatively greasy - but very tasty. Relatively “expensive” but also worth it.

The Bulgogi Burger was mega, so tasty and a completely different combination. Recommendation. Cheeseburger was ok, but I wouldn't order it again. I didn't like the fries, but my friend did, so it's a matter of taste. They didn't have enough taste for me. Visually but very tasty. Prices for drinks high. Lemonades very tasty.

Bereits auf die Getränke haben wir verhältnismässig lange gewartet. Von den 3 bestellten Burgern wurde dann einer halb kalt und einer komplett kalt serviert. Als ich dies anmerkte, war die Reaktion nur ein kurzes "tut mir leid". Das halte ich - zumal bei den recht üppigen Preisen im Imbissbudenambiente - keinesfalls für eine angemessene Reaktion. Insgesamt enttäuschend.

The food was great, I had the salmon burger, the sweet potato fries and the shiso lemonade. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever eaten because they weren't chopped into small pieces and weren't fried to death. The burger was also fantastic. Unfortunately, after I was shown my place, I was forgotten for a good 20 minutes without a map etc.

But compared to other burger shops, it was tasty with mini portions and the same prices. The service is hectic, you feel unwelcome, like you're on an assembly line. The waitress was in a great hurry when she accepted, the man. The waiter clears away the food while you're still nibbling the fries. But when you've finished drinking and you want to pay, he'll have a chat.

Disappointed with this place which nevertheless has good reviews... The tables (two) are very close which means that you eat almost on the neighbor's table... Drinks, you drink them from the bottle. After a Kimchi which was not bad but nothing more, the homemade fries (very greasy) arrived after the burger even though the two should have been served together and the waitress advises you, to wait, to drink a little... To 27 eur, there is a way to find better. !

Absolutely fantastic burgers! The food is incredibly delicious. Super delicious sweet potato fries and perfect homemade lemonade. Very friendly service. Shiso Burger is centrally located and can be reached quickly on foot from the main station or Mönckebergstrasse. It can be a bit busier on the weekend, sometimes you have to wait 10-15 minutes (if you don't have a reservation) but that's absolutely not a problem. I always enjoy coming here!

I would really recommend this place that I found by accident on my way. The food taste so good with different type of spices and sauces that taste completely different than usual. It’s so simple, so good that I would definitely come back again to try more burgers 😊 The service also is so good with such a friendly and cosy atmosphere!

salty. It's very salty. It's not as tasty as McDonald's in the Netherlands, but the original Hamburg hamburger is not as tasty... If I had thought it was a Japanese style store, I would have gone somewhere else. The staff is friendly.

Yesterday the four of us were there 1 hour before closing time and ordered quickly. When our food came, the waitress informed us that she would like to settle the bill directly as they were closing soon - which was basically no problem for us. However, the waitress came to our table several times during our meal to clear the burger baskets and emphasized several times that they wanted to close on time. We finished eating 20 minutes before closing time. We would have preferred if we had been informed from the start about the impending closure and that they no longer wish to serve new guests. Then we might have chosen another place to enjoy a more relaxed meal and go home without stomach aches and discomfort. Burgers were otherwise very tasty, but unfortunately fries were very soft.
