Dulf's Burger in Hamburg

Better in the past – this time, unfortunately, disappointing I've eaten at Dulf's Burgers before and was really impressed then – but my last visit with two colleagues was all the more disappointing. After a friendly welcome, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. I had a special request: Mac & Cheese with Chili Cheese Con Carne – at first they said it wasn't possible, but then they did. The burgers arrived after about 25 minutes – none of them were cooked to the desired degree: • Two burgers, ordered medium, were almost raw • The burger, ordered well-done, was medium The side orders (fries) didn't arrive until 10 minutes later, when the burgers were almost finished. Furthermore, instead of the Mac & Cheese with Chili Cheese Con Carne, I got fries with chili cheese. After I complained, the Mac & Cheese was still brought – but not until we had already finished eating. I took them with me, but had to pay the full price, even though I initially received the wrong item. Conclusion: The store used to be really good – this time, unfortunately, everything was pretty chaotic. What a shame.

Taste and service very mediocre.

The food was okay, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right. The iced tea was completely unsweetened, and the oven was broken, so many dishes were unavailable.

A well-rounded menu. Delicious burgers, good sides, and a wide selection of different sauces. If you don't find a burger on the menu, you can create your own. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended.

We were there a few weeks ago with a larger group. Although it was packed and definitely extremely stressful, we got a spot quickly and were looked after fantastically by Ella and the crew. 10/10

The service is good, but staffing is often limited due to high demand. The hamburgers are good. Almost every item on the menu has bacon, but they don't put it in when you request it.

The best Philly cheese steak 🤤. They have a unique way of presenting the cheese liquid sauce for the burger. You can put how much you want. It makes it better to use your imagination and creativity. I recommend visiting here.

Always great burgers, when we are in Hamburg we eat there at least twice.

I ordered two takeout dishes, but unfortunately, half of the order was missing. Furthermore, the burgers were so drenched in sauce that they were barely edible, and the bread was completely soggy and stuck to the packaging. Very disappointing, especially since I had already tipped them in advance.

The place to go for burgers when in Hamburg!

The two of us went to Dulf's yesterday. We each had a cheeseburger (vegan and non-vegan) and a side of fries, as well as the Oreo freak shake. The burgers were delicious; the vegan burger's vegan patty is just a pretzel roll. That doesn't bother me, but it might disappoint others. The dips were super tasty. The shake was also tasty, but didn't have a wow factor. We like eating here and also like ordering from time to time. Highly recommended, but rather expensive 🫰 🍔

We've been to all of Dulf's branches now. I highly recommend them all. The food is incredibly good, but not for people who are counting calories 🤣 unless they're eating salad 🤣🤣 In my pictures you can see a pulled pork burger with mac and cheese. Parking isn't easy at any of the branches, but just drive around a few times, walk a few meters, and you're good :) The staff are all super friendly. We're happy to make the 160km journey ❤️

Great atmosphere - delicious and visually appealing food - excellent and friendly service :-) We recommend, for example, the "Jörg's Basil Drink" (gin - amazing!) and the mushroom burger! Ella approached us quickly and friendly outside. We were offered several alternatives (because it was very busy)...we ultimately decided on the bar. We didn't regret it. Nalin at the bar brought us drinks. She was super friendly and attentive. She also accommodated our special requests. We ordered food from Elisa (even with special requests). Great service here too! Nice, quick, and friendly...thanks for everything! We'd love to come back from Hanover!

When we arrived in Hamburg, we wanted to try this place because it had a high rating. All the outdoor tables were reserved, but luckily, we found a table inside without having to wait – even though the indoor space isn’t that big either. We ordered the Champignon Burger with extra bacon and sweet potato fries & beer 🍔🍟🍺 The burger was loaded with ingredients, and the patty was thick, juicy, and tasted like a real, proper burger patty. Even the small size was quite filling. With all the toppings and the juicy patty, it was a bit too messy to handle, (literally dripping when held) so I had no choice but to eat it with utensils — and unfortunately, I’m not a fan of eating burgers that way 😕 I liked the portion and the taste. In terms of price/performance, we left satisfied. However, I wouldn’t say it’s a place I’d definitely eat at again when I come to Hamburg – it didn’t really impress me that much. I’m also adding the menu photos.

Dulf's Burger opened its third branch in Eimsbüttel a few years ago, and the place has been buzzing ever since. And in the truest sense of the word. The former dry cleaners had already been converted into a restaurant by its predecessor, but it quickly failed. Dulf's, however, stands like a brick wall and is popular and now well-known in the neighborhood...

Everything fits perfectly. Delicious burgers, even with a gluten-free bun, and always super friendly and attentive service. TOP

It was very tasty, large portions, but a bit more expensive. I left good money there.

Returned 2 years later. And it's not the best burger any more. First, they removed the ciabatta bun. The one bun that was a bit harder to give the burger more stability. Double patties are a mess nowadays. The bottom is not holding the structure. I am thankful for the times I had in the past and proudly saying the best burger in Germany is dulff. But sadly this is not the case Anymore. Friendly staff, no questions here. I don't taste the love anymore. And I know the place since it's beginnings in tbe Himmelstraße. 86 euro for 3 burger menus. (Almost)Best Burger on this planet. I love every single part. BUT the patty is a freaking joke with their 120 or 140 gram version. The bun is wider than the patty. That's a no go. 2 Patty's are not an option because it makes the burger and it's structure more slippery and from the meat experience it is something else when there are 4 crust's instead of just 2 and a meaty core. If they could fix that I could say best burger on this planet. I tried Gordon Ramsey's burger. Meat proportion is Perfect with his 200gr.patty. the right amount of toppings, bun and meat. But buns and meat at dulf are way way better. But sadly they went with the baby version of the patty. I still return every time when I'm in town. It's still the number one spot to go. Cheers guys. So in terms of service and the taste of the burgers, the shop is really great. I just think it's too expensive when you only get 15 euros for a single burger. A plain burger just isn't worth that.

Best burger in town! I tried the “cheeseburger” and was totally surprised – juicy meat, perfectly fried, with fresh ingredients and a super fluffy bun. Fries were crispy and not too salty. Price-performance is definitely right. A must for burger lovers!

It was my first time there and I was very impressed with the burger! I had the “Italian Burger” with the gluten-free bun. The bread wasn't dry at all (as you would expect from gluten-free bread). The waitress was also super friendly and pointed out to me straight away that the contamination cannot be guaranteed 100% - so probably nothing for those who have severe celiac disease. The atmosphere was very casual and relaxed! I'll definitely be back next time I visit Hamburg! :) Ahh and…the truffle mayo is an absolute recommendation!

Update April 2025: The service is good and the food comes to the table quickly. We have been here a few times in the meantime and are satisfied, but new construction site: KNIFE!!! Please do something with your knives, they are so blunt that you can completely tear apart your beautiful burgers and that's just no fun. We have brought our own knives with us the last few times. That's really a shame! The food is always great, unfortunately last week we had to wait almost 60 minutes after ordering for the food because of so many pickups from Lieferando, Wolt, etc. There weren't particularly many guests on site. It's a shame, we ate here with a child and waiting an hour for a burger is really too long. No apology, no drink on the house. If you work on it we'd be happy to come back, now we'll take a break.

Lunch menu perfect from the size to the price. For lunch you have burgers, fries, drinks + dips. Delicious as always

The visit was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the UFO Burger which did not meet my expectations at all. We also ordered a normal burger and the meat tasted much better. The overall concept of the UFO Burger was somehow not coherent and only tasted like cheese with fried onions. The normal burger was OK. The service was quick and uncomplicated. But I don't remember it here.

Something completely different, but incredibly tasty. 🤤 The quality of the ingredients and the perfect and exceptional preparation made it an unforgettable experience. 👍🏼 The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the perfect service is super friendly and attentive. The homemade sauces, such as the truffle mayo, are another plus point. 👍🏼 I can recommend Dulf's Burgers to anyone looking for an exceptional burger experience 🌟. The prices are reasonable for the high quality of the food. 👌🏼 I (we) will definitely come back and look forward to the next time!! 😊

I've eaten at dulfs and found it really good. But the last few times have not been tasting the same, some very raw burgers, it's a nice place, if only the food was more consistent

If you come on Friday evening, you must bring enough time without a reservation and wait in line outside for a free seat inside or outside. Didn't have them that evening and ordered Philly & Farmers Burgers to take away. After about 20 minutes we received our food. We were very satisfied👌

The food was tasty and well prepared. Ambiance just doesn't appeal to me personally, some stickers are already falling off and showing that they've been there for a while. Unfortunately, our condition was well-deserved after work, but we didn't know it and waited 15 minutes until someone else spoke to us and noticed us.

We were there on a Friday evening around 7 p.m. We got a seat without a reservation but with a short waiting time of 10-15 minutes. The service staff was super nice and attentive. The order was received promptly. The drinks were quickly brought to the table. The food was delivered with a short but reasonable wait, considering that the restaurant was full to capacity. The dishes were freshly made and fresh ingredients were used. The burger buns were also super fresh and soft! The menu has something for every taste! No matter if you are a meat eater or a vegetarian. We'll be back.

Good food at acceptable prices. The children's menus are okay. The ambience is a bit restless, but it's just a burger joint with a lot of traffic.

Atmosphere and staff were top! I was here with three friends last year. Not sure if we caught the restaurant on a bad day, but it started with the chicken burger. This one came with half raw chicken. And the well-done burger we ordered was served medium rare. I am willing to come again as the reviews and videos on social media are very good.

Great burger. REALLY good!!! Had dinner at the bar and ordered the goat burger and the Italian burger - they were really successful across the board. The beef is perfectly medium, the Italian burger is finely balanced in taste - simply amazing!!! Drinks solid. Rough crispy fries were really tasty with the guacamole, not even starting with the service. Very attentive and interested, somehow very much with the customer. Certainly not McDonald's in terms of price, but neither is it in terms of taste. ;-) This shop is a 1o/1o.

That is my favourite burger place in Hamburg and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat, the combinations, the buns are exquisite. The taste is the same in their all restaurants.

One of the best burger I had. IRALIAN with unusual ingredients for a burger, but you can really feel the good quality ingredients and specialy the meat. And finally one medium rare as should be.

Dulf’s Burger was once quite hyped and is still said to be the best burger in the city. We decided on Dulf’s in Emsbüttel. Why? We thought it was the coolest location and the best place to go for a drink afterwards. I chose the BBQ burger. Juicy peddy with really good bacon. But I recommend you get the sesame seed bun. It just has more flavor and a lot more sesame 😉 Overall, you can't go wrong at Dulf's, but my favorite burger probably still comes from Eindhoven 😉

Yes, it's a delicious shop. But also just really expensive. For example, this evening we had the Schlabbi, which easily rose from 16 to 20 €. We recently went there a few times at lunchtime, where they simply serve mini burgers instead of normal portions. As far as the service is concerned, there are days like that: mostly everything is charming and relaxed, but we have also been called really silly, stupid and snooty 2-3 times...

I was on the road a little longer because the burger shop was recommended to me and it does what it promises. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten.

After a short research, I visited this restaurant with my wife and didn't regret it at all. We each ordered a burger menu and it was incredibly tasty. The prices are good for the quality offered, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful! Thank you very much, we'll be back!

We have been Dulf's fans from the very beginning, back then on Himmelstrasse. The burgers are still good, but the prices are now an announcement. Of course quality has its price, but just too much for a burger and you think twice about whether you go to Dulfs or somewhere else.

The quality has remained consistently very good. Unfortunately the price has become significantly too high. And that with the hard wooden benches! If only you could at least sit comfortably... Yesterday was probably my last visit to Dulfs.

The place was great when it opened, especially the chicken burger with it's big juicy thigh meat, though last time the fillet was small, overcooked, and dry, also the breadcrumbs were dark and bitter. Staff weren't bothered when I offered feedback.

Unfortunately, it was catastrophic when it came to the orders: only parts of the order were delivered and then they refused to deliver what was missing. When you order, you should be prepared for the fact that only parts of the order will arrive and the other parts (for which you placed the order in total!!!) will never arrive. The refund of only €5 on an order over €30 does not reflect the disappointment associated with the order not being delivered as discussed. Very unfortunate!!!

There are burgers, and there are Dulf's Burgers 🍔.

The food is absolutely delicious. The burgers always fresh and you can tell everything is to a certain quality. The only negative is they recently changed their menus, and the prices are now very high. Paying 16-18€ for a burger alone is just ridiculous.

Super tasty burger, top drinks and very dedicated service!

The three of us had dinner at Dulf's on October 21st, 2024 at around 2 p.m. The burgers were - as always - very, very good! But what was wrong with the waiter?! All tables were free inside, but 50% of the tables were not cleared. It's no wonder, because the only two waitresses (male and female) were also outside and had a wonderful time together - to a stranger it looked as if they were newly in love and the work was only secondary. Back to the male waiter: we wanted to sit at a long table with an armrest because I have problems with my back. The waiter initially insisted that we sit at a “clean” table - I could lean against the wall. But anyone who has back problems knows that it's not beneficial. By the way, only one side of the long table wasn't cleared, the other side was fine and wouldn't have bothered us at all. Now comes the icing on the cake: the stroppy waiter argued that it would be more work for him to clear this table now. After all, he can't seat anyone at a dirty table. Of course we ask ourselves why 50% of the tables are not cleared during that time?! Was spending time with the waitress outside really more important than work?! Did we disrupt their time together so much that the waiter had to look like it was raining for three days?! Where was the effort to clear the table immediately?! Questions upon questions - but in the end we don't know! His bad mood definitely spoiled our meal at Dulf's, even though the burgers were delicious.

Friendly and competent staff, juicy burgers, good price, comfortable tables and chairs. All I want from the neighborhood burger place. What I don’t get is why the price of beyond meat is more expensive than the burger with real meat, given that it is not real meat…
