Mein glutenfreie Burger war mega lecker! Und konnte ganz unkompliziert bestellt werden! Toll wenn sich Leute mit der Problematik aus kennen und es einem so einfach gemacht wird!! Meiner Tochter hat das Kids-Menü auch sehr geschmeckt! Der nur einfach belegte Burger war ähnlich groß wie die normalen Burger. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Guter Service. Leckere Burger. Auch glutenfreie. Rustikales Ambiente. Super für einen Abend mit Freunden. Sehr gutes Bier!

Klasse Geschmack. Toller Laden. Super Kombi: Fleisch, vegetarisch und/oder glutenfrei. Perfekt! Meine wärmete Empfehlung!

Burgerpatties waren sehr gut. Toppings auch. Ich mochte die Buns nicht so gern, waren zu fluffig, zu leicht. Sehr gutes (auch regionales Craft-)Bier zum Meal erhältlich. Preise angemessen für gute Burger, nicht teurer als woanders. Cool waren die Kimchi-Fries. Mal was anderes.

Es war sehr lecker, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, da wir nicht alle Deutschsprachig waren, waren die Kellner auch sehr nett und haben uns auch auf English angesprochen, fand ich cool. Der Preis von der Special Fries ist bisschen zu viel, aber waren trotzdem lecker.

Zum einfachen, aber super leckeren Burgeressen ist Grilly Idol perfekt. Besonders lobenswert sind die großen Portionen und veganen bzw. vegetarischen Varianten. Immer wieder gerne!

Wir haben 2 Burger, 2 Pommes und 2 Getränke bestellt. 10% Trinkgeld und 75€ dafür sind im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Burger waren ok, mehr nicht. Die „Special“ Pommes ChiliCheese und Trüffel stachen nicht heraus. Die Pommes ohne die Saucen wären bei mir „durchgefallen“. Service war sehr flott, was gut ist - allerdings hatten wir kaum Möglichkeit anzukommen und wurden direkt nach Getränken gefragt. Insgesamt war es eher mittelmäßig und wir würden wohl nicht noch einmal kommen.

Sehr freundliches Personal, aufmerksam und mitdenkend. Essen war super lecker und es gab glutenfreie Burgerbrötchen, weshalb ich nach 1 Jahr wieder Burger essen durfte und gf Pommes. Es schmeckte schön saftig und super lecker. Das Restaurant ist klein, aber gemütlich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Delicious as always. We came for the gluten-free burger because I have celiac disease. It's never been a problem and it's always very tasty. So we'll definitely be back.

We're giving it stars because our friend with celiac disease had no problems the next day. For us non-celiacs, the food selection was rather limited; the chicken burger was tough and dry, the cheeseburger was okay – not much for the price. The rustic atmosphere is something you have to appreciate! The staff were very friendly and attentive. It would have been nice if they'd indicated that they only accept debit cards. Recommended for people with celiac disease; not the place for those who don't like burgers, but at least someone was happy!

+++Highly Recommended+++ We wanted to grab a burger in St. Pauli and were looking around. Grilly Idol caught our eye because of its name, so we went there with our 10-month-old baby, without a reservation. We got a table, but were asked to leave at a certain time, as the next table was already reserved. This meant a good 45 minutes to order and eat. After we received our food, which took about 25 minutes (a minor drawback), we were told they had found a solution and we could stay an extra hour. Perfect timing, as we were then able to really enjoy our meal. Definitely a plus! When ordering, we were recommended the (house specialty) "slightly spicier burger." It was indeed quite spicy, but really very good. Biggest plus (hence the 5 stars): We asked if we could get some unsalted fries for our little one. It wasn't long before they were on the table, for free. So, 100% kid-friendly. Highly recommended!

It has a very nice atmosphere, but my priority was definitely to eat a good hamburger. The hamburger wasn't what I expected; I didn't find the flavor I was looking for. It was so salty that I had to drink liters of water after leaving. Mediocre and expensive.

The burgers looked good. I had fries. No complaints about the food. Maybe about the price? But eating out has gotten more expensive overall anyway. So it's alright.

This place is brilliant if you're a coeliac, vegetarian or vegan. Almost everything can be made gluten free and their buns are some of the best I've had. The burgers are also all available vegan or vegetarian and they even have vegan bacon. The interior is pleasant and for someone who's favourite music is mostly from the late nineties/early noughties the music was fantastic. Menus are available in English and clearly marked for dietary requirements and the staff were very kind thankfully they spoke excellent English since my German is relatively poor.

We went to Grilly Idol for the first time today. The burgers and truffle fries were delicious. Highly recommended.

We arrived spontaneously on a Friday evening without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. Initially, we were asked to take a seat at the bar as there were no tables available. We then ordered our drinks and food there. To our delight, it wasn't long before we were able to sit down at a table after all. We had barely sat down when our food arrived, and it was absolutely delicious. The burgers, the sides, and the sauces were all incredibly tasty. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming; we felt very well taken care of. Definitely recommended! ♥️

We were here one afternoon in September 2025 after having been to the St. Pauli Stadium. We lived in the city center, and moved around there most of the time, and it was really quiet and cozy here. I do myself the favor of ordering their cola, which is called Fritz-kola. We didn't eat there, so I can't give their food stars.

The food at Grilly Idol was fantastic! The service was also top-notch! As a vegetarian with gluten intolerance, I had absolutely no problems here, which isn't usually the case at other burger joints. Highly recommended!

Amazing burgers! Delicious! Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a dessert selection, and no milkshakes... But that's a minor complaint! It's fantastic!

I simply can't give this place anything but 5 stars! For me, everything was perfect: the staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the music was pleasant, and the food was amazing! I had a Blue Cheese Burger with sweet potato fries and truffle mayo (the latter being my first time trying it), and it couldn't have been a better match. My companion had the special burger (Jalapeno Popper) with regular fries and was also completely satisfied. Grilly Idol has definitely earned a spot on our favorites list!

The Smash Burger was delicious, as were the fries! It certainly won't be my last visit! Update: 10/28/25 - The burger is still delicious! The service was also very friendly; it's simply a great place.

Simply a really good burger place!

We were Bretons visiting Hamburg and were looking for a place to enjoy burgers with a gluten-free option. We received a very warm welcome and good advice. The food was delicious, and it was an unforgettable experience.

We tried this restaurant yesterday, and we went there today again. Hamburger is very delicious also you can try Pototoes with different beers, especiallaly there ıs good İPA beers.

Very tasty burgers near the Reeperbahn and Hamburger Berg. The taste is great and the portions are generous. The selection and value for money are also good. The restaurant's decor is rather spartan, but in keeping with the area. In summer, you can also sit in the back courtyard. The servers were very different at both locations: one was very nice and friendly, the other rather bored and annoyed. Nevertheless, the taste makes it a recommendation.

Best burger I have had in quite a while, the meat was perfectly pink in the middle and the bun soft and cozy. Staff super friendly and the weather hotter than hell!

For me, these are still the best burgers in Hamburg. It's a shame they're no longer serving Ratsherren. Otherwise, as always, amazing, great atmosphere, super friendly staff.

We went here for dinner because we have a family member who has to eat gluten-free. We received incredibly friendly service and our food arrived super quickly. The burgers are incredibly delicious. The gluten-free burger was also very good. We ordered it a second time. What also stood out was that they served gluten-free beer! Something you rarely get in restaurants. Many thanks to the team! Great upstairs, terrible downstairs Small restaurant with good food at slightly higher prices. The service is very good and friendly. Unfortunately, the restrooms are in a disastrous condition and poorly maintained. The soap was empty and the hairdryer didn't work.

This was our second visit, and it was just as phenomenal as the first. The staff were incredibly accommodating and, despite the large number of customers, kept checking on us to see if we were okay. The food was incredibly delicious; in my opinion, they have the best burgers I've ever had anywhere.

Nice restaurant near the Reeperbahn. The burger was very tasty, but the fries were a bit hard (they seemed like they'd been fried twice). The homemade lemonades are highly recommended! The house beer was also good.

A very delicious restaurant. The food arrives super quickly. The service is very friendly and provides excellent information. When ordering a vegan burger with a gluten-free bun, they immediately pointed out that the bun wasn't vegan, so they were able to easily change the order. The diverse vegan selection is also great. I'd definitely go back!

The homemade black bean burger was surprisingly fantastic. I'm usually very picky about veggie burgers (I only eat vegetarian), but this one was truly amazing. I ordered it as a cheeseburger with the sloppy fries – incredibly delicious! The service was a bit slow. It's also important to note that you can only pay by card here, and it's not exactly cheap.

We were at Grilly Idol yesterday and we were thrilled! The gluten-free burgers are really delicious, and most importantly, I had no problems afterward. A huge plus for me as someone with celiac disease! They even had gluten-free beer, another plus. The staff were also super friendly and attentive; you just feel welcome. We'll definitely be back!

When I mentioned my celiac disease, I was immediately assured that they were familiar with it. Contamination isn't an issue, as they have separate areas and utensils. The service was excellent, and the food was truly delicious.

Wow, the best burger I've had in Hamburg so far! The homemade lemonades are also incredibly delicious. I'm already looking forward to the next time; the truffle fries were especially amazing.

A really nice and pretty shop. The employee who served us was super friendly and attentive – that made a great first impression right away. I had the teriyaki burger from the daily special: a real treat! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the meat was also delicious. The burger could have been a bit more generously topping for my taste – being served a burger and then seeing nothing but bread on your plate doesn't really appeal to me, and the burger also seems rather small. What I really didn't like was the pungent smell of urine in the men's restroom. That can really ruin your appetite, and that's a shame – otherwise, the shop would have earned a full five stars from me.

August 3, 2025: Here again: this time I had the gluten-free teriyaki burger! Absolutely outstanding! First visit: Extremely delicious (barbecue burger with jalapenos and chili cheese fries) in both the gluten-free and regular versions.

VERY VERY VERY TASTY, highly recommended. I had the smash brunch which is a 10/10, really awesome👍🏼👍🏼

Rustic ambience with very good food and friendly service

A very nice, small restaurant with very friendly service. The food was excellent; we ordered a cheeseburger, which I highly recommend. They even had great gluten-free buns.

Highly recommended! We went there on a very busy day without a reservation – and yet we were seated right away, which was a very pleasant surprise. The team was super friendly and well-organized. The food arrived in just 13 minutes – despite the place being packed – and was absolutely top-notch both in terms of taste and appearance. The portions were generous and very filling. Particularly important to us: gluten-free options. And that's exactly what was really impressive here! From the burger bun to the drinks – even gluten-free beer and other alcoholic drinks were available. A real highlight for people with gluten intolerance. We went home very happy – and one thing is for sure: the risk of repeating this experience is extremely high!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The best burgers in Hamburg, the vegetarian and vegan options are also really good, and they even have celiac-friendly and gluten-free burger patties! The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly, competent, and extremely helpful. The location is also super cool. I would say, whether you love meat and burgers, are vegetarian or vegan, or have celiac disease or need a gluten-free diet, everyone can eat the best burgers in Hamburg here! Absolutely fantastic! We're thrilled and went there two days in a row!

We stopped by spontaneously and I'm glad we stopped in. Great burgers, we had a blue cheeseburger and a BBQ burger, simply amazing burgers. They also had chili cheese fries and truffle fries. Really good, highly recommended. The homemade lemonade was incredibly strong, it's truly homemade, nothing from a can. Despite the fact that Schlagermove was in Hamburg today and the place was running at full capacity, the atmosphere was friendly and we, as guests, didn't feel any stress. A real recommendation here in Hamburg.
