Great snack bar, delicious fries!! Very crispy and good. Smash burgers are also tasty – cheese, awesome sauce. But the service needs improvement. I waited almost 10 minutes to have my order scanned (when there were practically no customers). Drinks are good (including Lütauer rhubarb spritzer). Payment is accepted by cash, debit card, or PayPal. No credit card payments via Apple Pay or similar services. The ambiance – well, you either sit outside or stand in a typical chip shop... but it's all okay. 20% discount on lunch specials!!

The website offers a discount for pickup. I received it when I picked up the burgers. The problem was that I wanted to pay by card, as I had selected. However, this wasn't possible due to technical issues. The seller then only gave me the option to pay with PayPal. Super cheap and super delicious burgers! Highly recommended!

We were just there. Super friendly and attentive staff, a wide selection, and exceptionally delicious food. We had a "Lütten" (burger, don't be fooled by the name...it's not that small) with fries and a double smashburger with fries, 8 chili cheese nuggets, and two drinks for €35. That's perfectly acceptable, and considering the quality, it's even significantly cheaper than expected. Unfortunately, you can't sit inside, and the outdoor benches are more of a makeshift option this fall. Perhaps patio heaters or other heaters would be appropriate to warm up the semi-open outdoor area a bit. In short: highly recommended, top quality, and extremely friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

The Kohldampf is always delicious, always fast, and the prices are very fair. My recommendation: the pulled pork sandwich with fries and "little greens" 👍 High praise, I'll be ordering again and again 💪

I'm so happy with Kohldampf that I'd give it more stars if I could. Whether it's delivery or pickup, the food is fantastic, even the fries (crispy and warm/hot)! Most importantly, in my opinion, is the consistently excellent quality of the burgers and sides!

We ordered online. The food was excellent. Absolutely nothing to complain about. But we were especially impressed with the service. Unfortunately, part of our order was missing, so we called the restaurant. The staff were super friendly and immediately sent out a follow-up delivery with a little extra – unfortunately, that's not a given with other delivery services.

I ordered a double smash cheeseburger, and what I got was almost vegetarian, as the patties were as thin as a McDonald's cheeseburger, and that for more than 12 euros. Greed eats brains... Definitely a waste of money if you want to stay full for longer. First and last time.

We order there often, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. Always delicious and usually delivered quickly. Today was the first time I had a missing fries. When I called, they calmly and politely appeased me, and a replacement fries were delivered fairly quickly. I find this kind of handling of customer complaints very commendable. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today. The burger was really bad. The only good thing was actually the fries. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio here isn't right at all.

We had a burger, a philippine sandwich, and chicken wings. Unfortunately, it was completely lacking in character and nothing stood out in terms of flavor. The chicken wings tasted of nothing, the sandwich only had steak, jalapeños, and mushrooms; it lacked any bite and was completely flavorless. The burger was okay, but nothing special. The "homemade" mayo was just regular mayo.

The only Smadhburher where you'd expect frozen patties. I won't order a second time. Really bad

Ordered from Kohldampf again after a long time. Still world-class: nice crispy fries with a great taste, salad with crispy chicken also great, fresh and crunchy, burger (the naked cow) couldn't be better. Side dishes: coleslaw salad and dip, truffle mayo and burger sauce, absolutely delicious. A big thank you from my wife for the cookies. See you next time.

I had my food delivered. It was the best burger I've had in a long time, and the fries were great too. I had the Farmer's Burger with bacon and egg, which was incredibly juicy. The delivery was also great.

Absolutely outrageous. Ordered a burger. The young man at the cashier didn't understand a word of German. He didn't deduct the 20% discount as advertised. On top of that, during the ordering process, you had to shove a croquette into your mouth while wearing gloves, which are then used to prepare the burger... Well, you just wait for the burger to arrive. Completely shrunken patties and completely black, wilted lettuce... Unbelievable! The burger went back untouched, but since the man didn't speak German, he didn't even give you a refund. That's truly unbelievable! Never again!!!!!!!

June 2025 Update after two years It's still okay. I was tempted by the promotions, good reviews, and appealing pictures to order again. *Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich comes with rather tough, sometimes marbled meat in a large portion. Unfortunately, it's not the tender, juicy steak you'd hope for. But there's plenty of it. *BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich - important: If you think you're just putting a different sauce on it because you don't like BBQ, the meat itself is already in the BBQ direction. Of course, hunger can't help it. If you don't have a specific idea/expectation about what direction you want your meal to take, you'll probably go home satisfied! And besides, they're nice and very customer-oriented :-) ------------------------- It's okay. The patties are relatively firm, so they give the impression of frozen patties. Not quite my cup of tea, but probably totally fine for many. The bacon was rather marbled and pulled in places. The fries were rather wobbly, though. The reputation that special requests are only accommodated randomly was confirmed. Delivery was prompt, and it had obviously just been prepared. Overall, I probably won't order again.

Today I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with strips of beef fillet and mushrooms. €11.50 for such a large baguette is pretty expensive, but the flavor was 10/10, absolutely amazing. I've never had anything so delicious. It had plenty of everything, and the bun was really soft and delicious. The place is worth it; I went back just to say how amazing it tasted!

Real cheek! I ordered via Lieferando, after 1 hour the burgers and the Pomeranian arrived ICE COLD! After a phone call and another hour, new burgers and fries arrived. With some fries were lukewarm and the burger was cold again! NEVER AGAIN

Food was delivered cold, burgers so full of sauce that I didn't taste any of the meat. In times when there are a lot of delicious burgers, this order was really very bad. It wasn't always like that, I would like to say. We have ordered here several times.

The smash burger is really very bad - there is a boring standard bun with onions and cucumbers, unmelted cheese, standard ketchup and a tasteless patty - very inventive, the patty doesn't feel seasoned at all, no characteristics of a smash patty - a real shame...

The supplier was very taciturn (but doesn't get paid for speaking) The burger was very disappointing, the patti was very dry and so firm that you felt like you were chewing on rubber. The rest was thrown very “carelessly” into the box, half of which was missing under Bun. Only the fries were OK. Delivery time as announced, therefore still 3 stars for service

Never order on a Sunday evening. My food didn't arrive until a whopping three hours later and was cold. The smash burgers were even discounted not worth their price. The nachos are 80% completely crumbled and not really that great and at €11 with dip they are also grossly overpriced. Here you can get the same quality for cheaper at Mecces.

Ordered almost 2 hours ago, it was stated half an hour. So far so good. If someone would at least answer the phone so that you know whether the food is still coming today or whether you can order somewhere else, it would be really helpful. But that didn't happen despite countless attempts.

I didn't think that burgers you could order could taste so good.

Here the boss himself prepares everything to perfection. At Kohldampf you can find fresh ingredients & buns, homemade sauces, cool creations and fair prices 🤤 Now if you're feeling fancy, do yourself a favor and check out their website. The prices there are cheaper than at Lieferando, for example 🤫 and there are many promotions so you can save even more.

Food delicious. I eat burgers very regularly and this was definitely top 3. I had the Smash Burger Double. Fries also extremely good! Very crispy, good choice of sauces, everything!

The food was very good, since we could only sit outside and it was the coldest day of the week, the visit was only half as nice. There were blankets on the benches to avoid sitting on the cold wood. On another day the experience will probably be even better.

Such a beautiful place, from the decoration to the dishes to the food, everything was perfect :) You just feel comfortable and it was delicious too. The service was very exemplary and friendly and thank you for the decorated table for your birthday, that was a nice surprise and, especially in this day and age, something that is forgotten. The worst smashburger I've ever ordered through Lieferando. Arrived cold, ordered menu. But doesn't get a drink. Fries were already cold and soggy. They cannot be reached by phone!

Eating is not recommended. Ordered 2 burgers + (cheese-chicken) fries via Lieferando today. The burgers were bland and not very tasteful. The fries (looks like the cheapest standard product) were soggy and not really edible. The separately wrapped chicken with mushrooms and the separate cheese that came with it were not to our taste at all and definitely not worth €11. Everything except the burgers was almost cold, even though the delivery only took about 30 minutes. The delivery driver was nice. The (normal) prices are definitely completely excessive.

Order was a complete disaster!!!! I first ordered through Lieferando. According to Lieferando, the order was placed and I received an order number. When I still had no food after 1.5 hours, I contacted Kohldampf. They didn't receive my order. So I ordered again and waited again for over an hour, which in itself was okay for me. But the food was a complete disaster. The burger was just mush. The Pettis were rock hard. The chicken wings I ordered were just drumsticks and there were no wings. I advise everyone not to order from this store. I was staying in a hotel and was actually happy about my dinner.

Best delivery service in the east of Hamburg

Ordered on a Monday evening. Took 70 minutes even though I live 5 minutes away by car. After 60 minutes I asked and expressed my concern that it might arrive cold. I was assured it would be warm. The fries had to go back into the air fryer and the sandwich had to go back into the oven. It definitely wasn't warm. Delicious, yes. But only because I warmed it up again myself. 70 minutes on a Monday is just way too long. Too bad!

Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The “Smash Burgers” are anything but a Smash Burger, just thin patties like McDonald’s, and there was no “crust” to be seen. The meat itself wasn't really of good quality, it was dry, tough and sometimes looked gray and didn't have much taste or anything like that. Sauces weren't really convincing either. Phillips cheesesteak was ok but we wouldn't get it again. Really a shame for the money, the card makes a very good impression but unfortunately the implementation is not right front and back.

Patty completely over peppered and rolls soggy

Not sure why they sell on leiferando under a different name. Maybe because it's known that Kohldampf sells horrible food. Last time I ate there I had food poisoning, unfortunately I did not realise this untill after doing a little research, while eating the very dissapointing burger. Do not eat her or under Smash it, there fake delivery name. You also try to cancel the order by calling the restaurant and they don't answer the phone EVER. Total scam.

Two citizens ordered to be picked up today and were there on time, but unfortunately the food wasn't ready. It took almost 15 minutes until we received our order and one had the impression that orders for the delivery service were preferred. The citizens were OK but the quality doesn't go beyond OK. We deducted three stars for the delay, the mediocre citizens and the fact that the delivery driver blocked the entire walkway. We won't be coming back.

Went there because of a TikTok video. Unfortunately a wrong decision... The employees were nice but unfortunately that was the only positive thing. I was there with 4 friends and our food didn't come at the same time so everyone had to eat alone. Unfortunately, value for money isn't really there either. Far too expensive, and this comment comes into play: inflation has also hit us, outrageous. It was clean and the food was tasty, but the colleague probably studied business administration and thinks that if I have cool names for the burgers, I can charge twice as much; In order for an adult man to be fed by his colleague, he has to pay at least €25. It's a shame because it's affecting ordinary citizens again; people with money don't eat there.
