Hier hat sich der Sizilianer Sebastiano mit authentischer frisch zubereiteter Nudelküche selbständig gemacht und es ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis: seine Küche, die Weine, der Grappa danach und wenn man bis zum Schluss bleibt, das gemeinsame Gespräch über Gott, Sizilien, Silizium und die Welt. Es kann nicht besser sein!

Moin Folks, derzeit Single und ständig auf der Suche nach Ablenkung, was kommt einem das in den Sinn, wenn Genuss so ziemlich das wichtigste bei mir ist, also einfach spontan ins Auto und losgefahren, der Weg ist das Ziel🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩 Während der Fahrt ein Hotel online gebucht und flott geht’s weiter, ach clever und nicht gut nachgedacht, Ferienbeginn Hamburg und in Richtung Süden die Autobahn sehr stark frequentiert 😎😎😎 Doch der erste Gedanke, ich möchte gut, sehr gut Speisen und da ist der Weg das Ziel, Modo Mio. Für mich ist Maurizio mindestens auf dem Niveau von Steffen Henssler, Tim Mälzer und weitere, er ist sehr begabt, sehr innovativ und herzerfrischend ❤️🌷❤️ Da lohnt jeder Kilometer und Gott sei Dank dürfen wir noch uns diese Freiheit nehmen und solange es möglich ist, werde ich das so oft es geht, nutzen🌟😊🌟😊🌟😊 Das Modo Mio ist für mich ein 3-Sterne Tempel und Preis/Leistung ist der pure Wahnsinn 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Für mich war der kurzweilige Ausflug geilo, 6-7 Stunden Anreise, 4-5 Stunden purer Highlevel-Superturbo Genuss und noch etwas, andere haben Sommeliers und hier einfach Maurizio fragen, es passt sicher, hier ist eine Expertise gegeben, einfach Trompetengalaktisch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️und max. Punktzahl plus weiterer Wert 🤩

In anticipation, we booked a long weekend at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt. A junior suite with a mountain view and a standard double room also with a mountain view were reserved. The rooms are relatively old, but very clean. All the features for a five star hotel are offered, but it is more than disappointing that in the junior suite with mountain view the eyes of the tenant of the junior suite are automatically drawn to the staff canteen, which is illuminated day and night. This impresses with its sobriety in its furnishings. An early riser like me would also like to sit on the existing garden furniture, which unfortunately had no seat padding. The pool area impresses with its background noise, which is caused by the machinery of the pool pumps. We were forced to retreat to the first relaxation room, which is very tastefully decorated. The fire lounge is also very stylishly furnished and even the spiders, who have created their cobwebs over a large area, find peace and quiet. The weather god Zeus meant well with us and we were able to use the lawn. There were loungers waiting for us with cushions that had probably been there since the summer and had never been cleaned or turned. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the sun lying on our towels and looked forward to a cooling and refreshing drink. We waited in vain for a cooperating soul from the five star (plus) hotel. Instead of an employee, we found a filthy handphone, and next to it there was an announcement saying that all orders could be ordered by telephone. Unfortunately, no one answered the other end of the line. A caravan consisting of four people then made its way to the lobby. When we arrived, we were told that delicious cakes would be available from 2 p.m. Due to the fact that we were in the wellness area and were dressed in bathrobes, but were still forced to take care of our physical well-being, we were then politely informed in the lobby that we were in this elevator Please leave the lobby as this is a five star plus hotel. I explained to the very nice executive employee, firstly, that this hotel was anything but five star plus and also the dilemma in which we found ourselves. He reacted in a very customer-oriented manner and had all our orders brought to the lawn and apologized with a bottle of champagne. For Saturday we reserved a table in the in-house star restaurant Überfahrt. Booking a table turned out to be relatively complex from the start. The four of us wanted to come to dinner, but apparently you weren't prepared for two more guests in the restaurant, as you first had to check the existing food supplies to see whether you could feed two more people. After repeated inquiries We were informed by phone that the four of us were allowed to attend the dinner that we had been eagerly awaiting. The non-vegetarian dinner, which was ordered twice, fully corresponded to a star cuisine. Unfortunately, the vegetarian menu was only impressive in its presentation and decoration. Five courses were ordered, two of which were simply inedible and were returned to the kitchen almost untouched. The cauliflower in nut butter and parsley was so salty, which was due to the fatty espuma and creams. The artichoke with goat curd was massively sour, which overwhelmed the whole dish and the artichoke itself tasted of nothing. Actually, it would have been expected to ask what we thought was wrong with the dishes - unfortunately nothing was found. We wish the young chef all the best for the future and a more balanced palate.

Unfortunately, we can't give a good recession. What should be highlighted is the service, the service at the table and even special requests were well implemented. Small deduction: The glass of wine we ordered was forgotten. The starter from the daily menu was ok. There were 3 variations of bruschetta. The quantity was just right and delicious. The main course, however, was a disaster! Also from the daily menu there should be gnocchi with truffle filling with walnuts, apricot jam and rocket (it could also have been spinach), all in a cream sauce. Plus strips of beef fillet, which we replaced with prawns. The prawns were very good, but the gnocchi came in a creamy mush that overwhelmed everything in terms of taste. In any case, you couldn't taste any of the truffle. It's really a shame and for the price of 24.90 euros it's clearly too expensive. Ambiance is ok, but very loud and busy. We'll definitely come back to Emden, but Da Sergio won't see us again (no matter where).

I was there on a Sunday evening, 2 weeks ago. The terrace was completely full and a good 2/3 of all seats in the restaurant were occupied. The waiters were overwhelmed because it was probably rush hour. I waited almost an hour for my Pasta Frutti di Mare. Then I took her with me. It tasted very good and I'm not mad either. I come from the catering industry myself and know exactly how you feel as an employee in such situations. I would be happy to have a second chance again soon. Kind regards, Marcel
