We had pizza and a hamburger. Everything is prepared right before your eyes. It tasted great. It's more of a takeout restaurant, but it's perfectly fine for a group of 10.
A unique Michelin-starred dining experience. A unique Slow Food-style summer menu. Learned a lot about the Adriatic coast of Istria and the possibilities of Mediterranean cuisine, with the addition of a few Baden herbs and fresh vegetables from Handschusheim. Excellent wines, this time from Portugal.
I, too, declare myself a Papa George fan. Since the pizza stand opened, the pizzas have been consistently top-quality. They don't use cheap ingredients; they offer Neapolitan-style pizzas. Pizzas that aren't loaded with Gouda and Edam cheese, but rather with a base of fruity tomato sauce, basil, Parmesan, and mozzarella (Fior di Latte). The Parma and salmon pizzas are highly recommended, with a touch of garlic oil, of course. The owners are very accommodating and give the impression that they really enjoy what they do. It would be perfect if Papa George ran a small restaurant. A few seats, pizzas, a few good pasta dishes, some salad, and some wine... Until then, I'll pick up pizzas every now and then. I also consider this to be one of the best pizza places in Coesfeld. Papa George has to share this top spot with another provider in Coesfeld, which is located right next to the train station.
Carlo, you're the best!
Thank you for the incredibly delicious pizzas at our registry office party – everyone loved it! Super friendly and with a lot of heart. We'd do it again anytime!
