I can agree with many of the other reviews here and was able to see during my visit that the customers know the operators well, so they come here often. I had a Portuguese steak with potatoes and very good olives. The quality and taste convinced me. I would love to come back and try other meals.

Great tapas and house wine, Also try the aperitif, brought on a smearing bowl, Carlos stg. Lovely people. Definitely a go.

Unfortunately, price/performance is not in proportion. What a shame! First of all: If a restaurant wants to compete in a certain price category, that of course creates expectations for me as a guest. Unfortunately, this was missed with After Church. We had a table for two on a weekend evening. When we entered the restaurant, we were quickly greeted and shown to the reserved table. The interior design didn't blow us away; it seemed a bit haphazard and thrown together randomly. We found the lighting to be too bright for dinner in the evening. There were no candles at the table. We would have liked that more than the bright ceiling lighting. We chose the clams for starters (18 EUR), the octopus with mashed potatoes and the bacalhau with carrot puree (both 30/31 EUR) for the main course. When asked which of the Vinho Verde wines best suited our selection, the waitress was unfortunately unable to provide any information. We would have expected that. The bottle of wine came already opened, which is not usual in my opinion. A new bottle is always opened for the guest so that the guest knows that the wine has not been sitting around for a long time. Unfortunately a bit unprofessional. Luckily the wine was very good and went well with the food. The clams were tasty, fresh, beautifully presented. There was nothing wrong here. Different with the main course. Both dishes came very simply presented. The puree took up a large portion of the plate. The fish was simply placed to the side, skin side down (why?). The dishes tasted good, but were nothing special. The doneness of the fish and the octopus were spot on, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately my fish had a lot of bones running through it. When it comes to a fish fillet, as a guest I expect (especially given the price!) that the chef has already removed most of the bones to the best of his knowledge and belief. Conclusion: Too expensive for what you get. For the money I can eat much better in Munich. In addition, the service should be improved, be more attentive, refill, know how to serve wine. I expect all of that in this price range. It's a shame, because in my opinion a really good Portuguese is definitely a gap in the market in Munich and would have a lot of potential.

Simply super fresh dishes with fish and great vegetables!!! Having Vino Verde there was a fantastic experience. Good service 🤩 and tasteful furnishings 😍. We keep coming back.

Authentic Portuguese food in Ulm. The menu is not very large, but they offer good authentic Portuguese dishes. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The ambience is simple but cosy. They also have a small market with Portuguese groceries.

The reception was friendly but distant, when ordering the food (steak) we explicitly stated that we wanted it to be in English and ordered a mixed salad with it. Salad didn't come, but the main course came straight away, which was a shame. The steak was NOT grilled, but boiled or braised - in any case well done (not as ordered: English). The side dish (potato chips) were not cross, but rather oily/greasy. When we asked, the mixed salad came (the cruets were only available upon request - a shame). Partner's meal, seafood stew with rice was ok (a bit watery in taste), could have used a little more spice. Drinks were good and inexpensive. The restaurant has the atmosphere of a club pub (current TV). In the end, the uneaten steak was not charged for. Nevertheless: go out for a meal in a pleasant atmosphere?? Rather no. Too bad.

Excellent ice cream, service by two young men, very polite. There are also Portuguese specialties, not just ice cream and cakes. Also various drinks, non-alcoholic and alcoholic. I find it a bit cold inside.

We had lunch at UDP today. The menu is perfect, not too extensive. We had a fish grill. The fish was perfectly cooked, or rather, grilled. We all enjoyed it immensely. The atmosphere is, of course, a dream for football fans. Parking is available on-site, and an added bonus: you can pay by card.

The food was plentiful and good. The service was good and the staff friendly. There's a family atmosphere. The ambiance could be better.

A dream, God must have been Portuguese, at least when it comes to food. My uncle Yankee also got stuck here, in the form of his photographs. Great chef, great boss, simply great people. Very nice little restaurant, great food and great service. We will come again. We'll just choose another table, sat right at the pillar, constant walking and not a nice atmosphere. We'll know next time.

I was in fact underwhelmed by the “seafood mix for two”. Some of the seafood was good and fresh but I didn’t liked all of it (-1 star). Also the grilled vegetable underneath was frozen products which I really think can be improved (-1 star). The service is very good our waiter was super friendly and thoughtful.

Wonderful Portuguese restaurant very close to the area of ​​the city where the ferries leave. All good. We tried the soups, the mussels, the garlic chicken, the rabbit. Even the coffee is good. Furthermore, the value for money is extremely good.
