Very well grilled fish – generous(!) portions, and you can rely on the recommendations. Everything was very fresh. Overall, excellent – ​​so we went back a second time.

There aren't many Portuguese restaurants in Berlin, and sometimes they have to compromise and sneak Spanish cuisine into their menu. This strategy works convincingly here, too. The food is delicious, especially the excellent fish dishes, portion sizes more suited to construction workers than models with eating disorders, and prices are very fair. Service is fast and multilingual. Go!

Very good food, with simple but fresh ingredients and very well cooked. The wine was melted, served in a glass carafe, very good. The prices are fair. Overall, everything was fine. I'll be back. I recommend it to anyone who loves Portuguese cuisine.

It would have almost earned five stars, if the truly ugly scaffolding weren't currently spoiling the ambiance. Otherwise, the food was excellent, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was just what you'd expect from a Portuguese restaurant. We'd be happy to return!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Saturday evening, 5 guests! The food was truly delicious and the prices fair – definitely a plus for that! Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed during our visit: only two people for a full restaurant, so we had to order everything (salt, pepper, oil, bread, menu, bill) separately and wait a long time. The acoustics were also very loud. It's a shame, because the food deserved 5 stars. We hope the service will be smoother next time.

Really good food, big portions and fair price. Super cold bottle beer (as it should be). Only issue is that sometimes the service is a big slow, but probably due to the fact the place is always full 😁 Go for the Fish soup (Caldo de peixe), it is one of the most delicious I ever had.

The lamb and sea bass were perfectly grilled. Great aioli and lovely wines. A superbly dedicated waiter who managed the service single-handedly.

We had a very pleasant evening! The waiter was friendly and honest, the food (fish and meat) was just right, and the house wine (red) was exactly our taste. However, when fellow countrymen (Portuguese in this case) come, that's generally a positive thing.

If we ignore the above information it was probably the best place that we found to eat good food in Berlin and surely I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, specially to try Portuguese food!

Great restaurant. There were only pleasant impressions left. The interior cannot be called outstanding, but overall it is cozy. Exceptionally friendly staff. The dishes are delicious, the preparation time is short. Prices for the capital are very reasonable. I highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.

This was my second time at A Telha. Once again, the food was delicious and the service spectacular. We were served again by Miguel, who was always very friendly and attentive. Then Ali started serving us as well, with the same quality. We had "bacalhau às natas" made by Dona Maria, just like the ones we had in Lisbon. For dessert, the chocolate mouse is a must. As a fan of Portuguese cuisine, this place is a find in Berlin and has some of the best service I've ever had.

I was in fact underwhelmed by the “seafood mix for two”. Some of the seafood was good and fresh but I didn’t liked all of it (-1 star). Also the grilled vegetable underneath was frozen products which I really think can be improved (-1 star). The service is very good our waiter was super friendly and thoughtful.

Discovered this great Portuguese guy by chance. I was lucky to get a table for two people. It's better to make a reservation. The food was simply delicious. Great value for money. Very nice service. Highly recommended if you ever go to Berlin.

My visit to A Telha was really very good. There was authentic Portuguese food, which was really delicious. The fish in particular was very seasoned. Beforehand there was a small salad, which was also good. All of this is available for a really fair price. The staff was very attentive and the service was good. I will definitely visit again.

"A Telha" is my favorite restaurant in the Güntzelkiez neighborhood. The fish dishes are consistently excellent, everything is very down-to-earth, rock-solid, but very reasonably priced. The fact that the restaurant has actually been busy every evening for years speaks for itself. Anyone expecting hocus-pocus gourmet cuisine has come to the wrong place; Rather, there is very tasty home cooking from Portugal. The audience is mixed: lots of visitors from the neighborhood, Portuguese, students, but no posh people. I hope “A Telha” continues to stay true to itself!

Something different, Portuguese, and we can only recommend it. The ambience is typical, the atmosphere increases by the minute as time goes on, the staff is friendly and quick and the kitchen is a dream. We started with the mixed appetizer platter and were actually already full, but a short break brought back our appetite and we moved on to the main course. This was something very special in terms of its appearance. Food served in a Portuguese clay brick, delicious and highly recommended. Afterwards a mixed dessert platter and the evening is anchored in your memory. With the appropriate mental cinema you felt like you were on holiday, but the only thing that surprised us was that there wasn't an obligatory farewell greeting like Portugal, so we still have to work on that. Otherwise we say thank you for the lovely evening.

Above average food at below average prices... a real recommendation...

The food is really authentic, fantastic, rich. I have rarely eaten such tender squid. The shop is packed in the early evening in the middle of the week, and nothing works here without a reservation, which is a good sign. But unfortunately there appears to be an acute shortage of staff. We sat together for 30 minutes without a menu, without drinks, without attention, which is kind of stupid. We then simply got the cards ourselves. In the end it was worth the wait, but maybe you should accept fewer guests at the same time if you can't entertain them at all.

Vor vielen Jahren waren wir Stammgäste, dann zwischendurch immer mal unzufrieden, doch nach einer Auszeit wiederkehrend einen neuen Versuch gestartet. Nach dem gestrigen Abend wird es keinen weiteren Besuch mehr geben… auf dem für uns reservierten Tisch lag auf einem Teller eine benutzte Serviette vom Nebentisch. Der Kellner entferne diese auf meinem Hinweis hin, wechselte jedoch nicht den Teller. Für ein bestelltes Essen wurde eine andere Zusammenstellung und Zubereitung gebracht… keine Entschuldigung, nur der Hinweis, dieses Essen sei besser. Da ich lange gewartet hatte und hungrig war, hatte ich es akzeptiert …. Teilweise war das Essen (Fischspiess, Gemüse und Kartoffeln) versalzen, zerkocht und dann auch fest, absolut kein Genuss. Das zweite essen, gegrillte Sepia absolut ungenießbar, fest wie Schuhsohle und wurde nicht verzehrt. Wenn der Koch sein Metier nicht versteht, sollte man das Essen nicht anbieten oder einen anderen Koch engagieren. Der Höhepunkt war, dass mein falsch gebrachtes Gericht auch noch doppelt berechnet wurde und die Rechnung um 20,00 Euro höher ausfiel. Wir hatten es bemerkt und der Kellner reagierte nicht angemessen… nach dem Motto: Man kann es ja mal versuchen! Bitte prüfen Sie stets die Rechnung! Das war‘s dann …. Keine Empfehlung!!!!!

We waited over an hour for food. Food was okay, but nothing more. Service overwhelmed to the max! I generally don't like two-class societies and in the restaurant it feels even worse, we won't be coming back!

Unfortunately, the service is not very attentive because you don't come to the table to ask if you would like to order something else. Here the guest has to draw attention to himself - what a shame! Like a little Portugal vacation. I cooked bacalhau with potatoes in the cataplana (copper pot). It tasted very good. Plus a fresh Vinho Verde. What more could you want?

As someone who is deeply passionate about Portuguese food, I was extremely disappointed with the food. Portuguese food is rich in flavour, and after having the Pork with Clams, and the Chicken on the grill everything was lacking taste, and the texture was dry for both. The ambience was not the best, as the place needs some maintenance. Staff was nice and polite, however service was a bit slow.

I recommend visiting, great atmosphere, tasty food and very well served. Friendliness in service.

Six of us came here for dinner, especially since our friend, who has Portuguese roots, wanted to take advantage of this opportunity during her visit to Berlin. In addition to Portuguese cuisine, the menu also offers a selection of Spanish dishes. First of all: We were so excited that we were happy to come back a few days later. There were a variety of starters on both evenings, with the fried anchovies and homemade aioli being the most popular. On the first evening almost everyone had fish, I had monkfish - great! On the second visit we had the mixed meat platter for 2 and everything was great here too. The meat, although thinly sliced, was still nice and juicy and the vegetables were crunchy. Everything as it should be. We all really enjoyed the white house wine! The prices are also very cheap. For example, the entire liter of house wine costs 19 euros. Most main courses cost less than 20 euros. In addition, the service is super friendly. You should reserve in advance as the restaurant is relatively small. We'd love to come back!

Amazing place. Client since 2017. First time tasting cocktail Telha 43. Cow beef with egg on top and rustic potatoes one of the best for me . Simple and delicious Try typical Portuguese beer Super Bock or Sagres Dessert - Pastel de Nata off course 😉

March 2024: We cut our evening short. The waiter seemed overwhelmed or in a bad mood at best. I have rarely experienced this. Then there was the fact that we were served cold tapas. Then we left. Very unfortunate. 2019: Fantastic! Absolutely recommended, even if it takes a little longer. Very nice atmosphere, friendly service and good wines. Everything as it should be. Fresh, al dente, hot and tasty. We will be back. Price/performance is right.

This Portuguese restaurant is amazing. The fish is very fresh. We ordered fish soup, grilled fish and paella. The portions were so big that the paella had to be packed away. It tastes great and is very cost-effective!

Wonderful place, the food is very authentic and tasty.

The tapas starters, especially numbers 1 and 2, were wonderful. Very tasty, authentic and rich. Unfortunately the main courses were rather disappointing. The sea bass was average and the breaded squid rings were a bad joke. 11€ for 8 rings, which are tasteless than the rest ramp shortly before the closure of a North Sea branch. There was also a salad as a side dish that tasted strikingly similar to a Hamburger Royal TS. The dessert was again good. I can only recommend the Pastel de Nata with a little cinnamon. The service was unfriendly at the beginning and some of the pictures hung had damage to the frame and pane. Our criticism has been addressed. It was quite good. But here Warsteiner is served on tap...a ​​beer that can only be used as a brush cleaner. But that is a matter of taste and is not taken into account in the rating.
