Es war einfach fantastisch, super Bedienung, mega Ambiente und tolle Live Musik! Die Gerichte waren super lecker und wir waren danach super satt! Zudem gab es noch fein lecker Schnaps aufs Haus den man sich selbst aussuchen konnte! Einfach ein klasse Abend!

Brutal gutes Konzept….keine Speisekarte-trotzdem wird auf Vorlieben eingegangen…familiäres Ambiete, alle bekommen überwiegend die Gänge zusammen, tolle Idee mit der gemeinsamen Ecke um zusammen zu trinken, live Musik, nicht zu aufdringlich und wirkt nie Zuviel oder drüber…Mega Erlebnis….

Heute war ich wieder bei Caramba mit freunde, vor mich war wie immer das beste lokale in Hamburg, und für meine freunde ein großes Überraschung, mit lateinischen 🎶 Musik, und beste server.mach weiter sooooooooooo

We were at Caramba with a very large group, with four of us eating vegetarian. However, the 3-course menus on offer are clearly aimed at meat and fish eaters. All courses on offer are priced the same, but the quality of the vegetarian alternatives leaves a lot to be desired. The others were offered various meat or fish variants with potatoes and vegetables as a side dish for their main course. We got tortellini with spinach and ricotta filling, which looked and tasted like any Aldi version (or other discounter product). Only the waiters and the owner of the Caramba were able to help overcome this misery with their positive mood and friendly manner. Alternatively, you could of course get so drunk with the free (included) shots that you don't care what you eat.

When we wanted the menu, the waiter just said 'I am the menu' and when we asked again we were told that there was a 3-course menu and a 5-course menu. Because of his very domineering demeanor, we felt pressured to take one without knowing the price. When I went to the bathroom, I asked another waiter about the price of the three-course meal. A whopping €55! My budget was €30 per person. including drinks. Because we were afraid to backtrack, we ended up with €316 for 5 people and all my birthday money was gone as quickly as it came.

We had the 4-course menu. The dishes all tasted excellent. I found the fish fillet particularly good for my taste. The service was good and the staff was very nice. We'd love to come back. Carambaaa!

We don't come from Hamburg and didn't know what to expect. We don't have this concept "without" a menu and I have to say - it was absolutely amazing! It was almost exciting to see what delicious things were being served. The food was an absolute A! Super tasty from starter to dessert. The ambience makes you feel good and the service is also great. The 2 hour drive was definitely worth it! CARAMBA ♡

The food was good but the price is just exorbitant. Because it's always the same thing that the chef conjures up (either fish or meat - then the dish looks the same for everyone), the effort is kept to a minimum. It's basically off-the-shelf food :-/ Way too expensive! ! We used to go there more often, but here you're just being ripped off. It's a shame

Essen war sehr gut und Service solide. Man muss vorher wissen, dass es kein klassisches a la Card Restaurant ist. Man bekommt ein vorgefertigtes Menü. Man sollte etwas mehr Zeit mitbringen und alles in Ruhe genießen. Das Restaurant ist für „einen Happen“ oder ein schnelles Essen nicht gut geeignet und letztlich auch zu teuer.

Very nice and friendly welcome. Quick explanation that there are ONLY menus, but that wasn't a problem for us. Of course it was more expensive, but the food was very good, we had the 4 course menu. The dessert, however, wasn't quite as fancy.

IMPORTANT: I ​​read from some reviews that people were surprised about the menu! There is no "classic" menu in the restaurant, but there are 3 or 4 common menus, which is something you have to be aware of!!!! Super nice and personal service. The quality of the food and drinks were also very good. We were in the restaurant on Saturday evening and there was a great and rich menu, also with great show effects! There were several starters, two main courses (two types of fish and a super tender medium steak) and a delicious dessert plate! The boss is very ambitious. It was a little stressful because we had to go to the musical, but the team made it possible for us to arrive on time. Unfortunately, the vegetarian food (three lettuce leaves, vegetables drowned in oil, frozen tortellini floating in cream, yum) didn't even deserve a star, the menu with fish and meat was of a higher quality two years ago. Unfortunately, what is sold as a fancy menu-only restaurant is nothing more than a beautifully packaged mass production. Billing for multiple people was also a pain; the invoice had errors. It can happen that the waiter gives himself a tip ;-)

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was disappointing overall. The service itself left a lot to be desired - inattentive and with errors even with the drinks. Things didn't get any better when it came to eating either. The quality was mediocre at best and the choice for vegetarians was very limited, which disappointed us. There was a lack of a personal touch; you had the feeling that you were being handled rather than individual wishes being taken into account. The handling of the tip was particularly unpleasant: it was accepted without comment and with a rather arrogant attitude, without a word of thanks. Overall, we can't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant.

Originally we just wanted to eat a few small tapas 😉. The "Caramba" was the only restaurant nearby that had room for two people at short notice, on a Saturday evening. At first I was very skeptical because we were given a time slot of 6-8 p.m. As we were already sitting, I remembered the negative reviews I had read before... So: if you don't have an appetite and are vegan/vegetarian, you should go somewhere else, but don't write "bad" reviews. The food and service/staff were great at a very good price/performance ratio. Fresh bread, homemade aioli, flambéed, pleasantly seasoned prawns, fish plate with 4 fresh types of fish with very different consistency and taste, grilled vegetables and potatoes cooked "to the point" with a very light spice and good taste, fluffy/runny, warm chocolate cake and Crema Catalana - a surprisingly delicious menu that was completely consumed despite our actually "small" hunger. Fresh fish and meat are presented in a refrigerated counter with a clear view of the kitchen. The host and cook also show the large, remaining tail fin of one of the fish and other whole fish. The menu also includes the fact that you can help yourself to the large liqueur/schnapps shelf. A cold, tapped Spanish beer wasn't missing either (we didn't pay attention to wine). In the end, the time window was completely sufficient, and without being unpleasantly "fed off", the breaks between courses were just right, not too short and not too long.

Interesting gastronomic concept. The food (menu) was good and very plentiful. You have to like the typical party atmosphere, it was sometimes so loud that it was difficult to communicate. Anyone who likes a busy life is in good hands here.

Good food, good atmosphere and good service with a host who really cares about the guests. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 But if you want to go out for something to eat as a couple or for a small business lunch, there are better alternatives in the area. We were on a family short trip to Hamburg and the Portuguese Quarter was recommended to us for food. We chose the Caramba and I have to say we wouldn't be disappointed. On the contrary, here you will have an evening that you won't soon forget. This has nothing to do with a normal visit to a restaurant; the family atmosphere and the overall concept are what matter here. The food was of course very, very tasty without exception and there was something for every taste. It's not a la carte dining but you have the choice between menus. So next time we are in Hamburg we will definitely go to Caramba again. In this sense CARAMABA 😊

There is no menu where you can choose the food. The food that comes to the table is ok. But much pretense about nothing. I can't really understand why so many people fall for the show and then rate it well. As I said, the food is good but you can also get it much cheaper in the 🥩 steak house.

This Portuguese restaurant not far from the Hamburg Landungsbrücken is really great. The concept is very simple and obviously successful: there are three or four courses offered at the beginning of the service. Flambéed prawns to start with, fish or meat and a dessert. You can then sit for some time and enjoy. The food is extremely tasty and the service is friendly and the prices are reasonably high.

A great experience as well as a delicious meal. Once you recognise there is no menu and there are two options fische or fleisch then you can enjoy a marvellous selection of local produce. The team are very attentive and entertaining and make this a real dining experience.

The food was good, and so was the ambience. However, as a woman, I was asked for my cell phone number 7 times by the waiter responsible for us and was really harassed every minute. I had to vehemently say several times that I didn't want that and wanted to eat in peace. The evening was unpleasant for me and we just wanted to leave.

Gambas were my wish, I didn't want spaghetti, penne instead was charged at 7 euros, 7 prawns at e.g. Part of the tail shell, a few noodles, some spring onions, a rotten basil leaf. I'm a good cook myself, you don't have to be a chef for something like this. My husband had sardines, a few jacket potatoes, 4 mini tomatoes, red onions, some zuchini. Never again, pure rip-off. For the price I can cook great at home.

.. es war einmal - vor 9 jahren ein wirkliches erlebnis - jetzt an belanglosigkeit nicht zu unterbieten - so etwas seelenloses - gerade die gastroszene.. die schon überhäuft ist mit sinnlosen & unterdurchschnittlichen zeugs - hat nun hiermit ein weiteres etablissement erhalten .. .. den ECHTEN franco findet man schräg ggüber .. zum glück .. .. weder 'caramba' noch 'especial' ist hier vorzufinden - ausser die preise, die knallen dir die locken weg .. .. zubereitung von fisch & fleisch in unserem fall - einfach nur bodenlos laienhaft - servierter fisch und deren verschiedene garpunkte einfach mal ignoriert & einen gesamt-toten-garpunkt gewählt, so dass jeder fisch nunmehr ein zweites mal "sterben" musste - so behandelt man keine lebewesen, null,komma,null respekt davor .. exakt in d. negativ rahmen wurde auch d. so krass positiv angepriesene stück argentinisches rind in der zubereitung versaut - erstens garpunkt weder med. rare noch medium, noch rare - es waren einfach mal alle drei garstufen vorhanden - warum auch immer, waren die nicht fähig es med. rare wie von uns gewünscht zuzubereiten .. des weiteren zu 2/3 auch ungenießbar, weil silberhaut bzw. extrem sehnig - es war einfach nicht möglich zu schneiden, geschweige denn zu essen > anmerkung an den kellner - antwort -> ob er es wegschmeißen solle und ein neues auf den grill schmeißen - haben beides verneint - hatte d. einfach nur d. essbare runter geschnitten, wollten auch kein neues, weil die fleischqualität auch unterirdisch war .. somit gesamthaft eine art seelenloses "surf'n'turf" .. man könnte sich jetzt noch über den kostenlosen alk an der "bar" auslassen oder die anzahl an kellner, die chaotisch und ohne jeglichen ablauf/plan durch die gegend eiern oder oder oder .. .. hier wird nur der 1x - TOURIST abgefrühstückt, denn niemand muss/kann und will sich dies ein zweites mal antun, denn warum auch - es ist seit jahren das identische zeugs, d. man bekommt - absolut krass progressiv und erlebnisreich - einfach der wahnsinn .. preis/leistung ist einfach nur bodenlos 2.0 - knapp 140€ zu zweit für einen kulinarisch fragwürdigen abend - da kann man sich ca 10 döner holen oder auch fast 10 pizzen, oder oder oder (20 fischbrötchen) anyway - wer die rosarote brille abnimmt und sich mal mit produkten, deren qualität und zubereitung 10min auseinandersetzt, wird und muss ebenso zu diesem ergebnis kommen .. #müsstIHRwissen - wenn ihr euch mit diesem seelenlosen getue zufrieden gibt, dann rollt der kapitalismus hier weiter seine runden

Some people might call this a “tourist trap”, but the fact is that this restaurant has a concept and I like that. You come in, we had a reservation, the waiter gives you free choice of seating. The tables are beautifully set up. Afterwards you are asked whether you like this or that and then you have already ordered the starter. The main course is chosen by going to the counter and choosing from one of the 3 dishes, plus side dishes. Then we go to the alcohol counter where you can try out the shots and be funny while the food is being prepared. After the main course there is a dessert. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. My companion and I actually felt very comfortable 99% of the time. I have a few points of criticism about the service, nothing bad but something where the one star was lost for me. I expect it to be served from the right side and with the appropriate feeling. The plate was placed very roughly on the table. The price is okay for what you get, but still high for some people. The two of us spent almost €130, but we had fun 🤷‍♂️ I can only recommend it if you're willing to pay the amount for it. I really enjoyed it and will definitely come again 👌

We went here for dinner before the Lion King musical. The 3 course menu with fish is really breathtaking - everything from dip to dessert tasted very good and the portions were generous for a 3 course menu! Very nice atmosphere and very friendly service. Unfortunately, because we were so hungry, we didn't take a photo of the fish plate - there were 4 types of fish and grilled vegetables. I recommend sitting inside. I've never had a garlic dip like the one on the appetizer plate, it's really, really good. We will be back!

Caramba!!! We reserved a table for our oldest's 18th birthday. We got there a little earlier but were immediately warmly welcomed and were able to take our place. After we had ordered all the drinks, the procedure for the evening was briefly explained to us. We started with flambéed prawn olives, a delicious garlic dip and bread. After the starter we were asked whether we would like 3 or 4 courses. We all decided on 3 courses which was completely sufficient. Then you are asked whether it is meat or fish. I personally recommend the fish because it is always freshly caught. I had cat fish, tuna, zander and sea bass, plus there was beetroot salad and separately grilled vegetables and potatoes. Everything was delicious and really nicely presented. After the main course, our serviço said that we should please follow him. We were taken to a schnapps/liqueur bar which is included with the courses. He told us the first 10 schnapps would be on the house and he would cover the rest too 😅😅 After about half an hour, the dessert was delivered to us. (We were asked in advance when it should come.... How long the break should be) All in all, great shop, great atmosphere, very tasty food! Price performance fits in any case! 🎉🔥C-A-R-A-M-B-A🔥🎉

The host was imposing choices to clients. No menu, therefore no possibility to evaluate ingredients in case of health problems or simply preferences. The food is not good, the cost is almost 60 euro per person with one appetizer, one main dish , one beer each. Never again

We were there with a bridal party and were very impressed. You sit incredibly comfortably and can distinguish between different, I call it “menus”. I think it was vegetarian, fish and meat. A nice entertainment was offered. The drinks came quickly and there is a huge shelf in front where you can get as many schnapps as you want for free. That was really an experience. The fish was great, the meat was also on point. The menus always change slightly depending on what good quality fish and meat is available. We definitely won't be there for the last time.

We ended up there by chance. The special thing there is that there is no menu. You can choose from fish, meat and vegetarian options. We were asked how hungry we are. This then became a 3-course menu for €54.50 per person The price of the drinks is also more of a surprise. The bottle of wine that was brought to us was valued at €29.50. You will then find out that the bottle of water costs €7.30 with the bill. Anyone who embarks on the adventure will not be disappointed in terms of taste. However, the appetizer with the flambéed prawns is also served one-sidedly. This appetizer was available to all guests in the restaurant. It tasted very good, I can't say yet whether I'll go there again. Even today, after 3 days, I still can't say whether I'm thrilled. It's quite loud there and the free booze irritates me as it was just alcohol.

Brilliant evening in the greatest restaurant in Hamburg!! We became aware of it through a recommendation and enjoyed 3 great hours with the best service and a great concept with 3 courses. Perfect all around!! We felt very comfortable, almost like we were at friends' homes :)! I can really recommend the restaurant and, above all, the great service and the high-quality food to everyone.

That was something different. A restaurant without a menu. The boss recommends and you can express a few wishes. The food tasted really delicious, the service was great. Whether fish or meat, everything is very fine. The ambience is also something to behold. Definitely a recommendation. The prices are a bit sporty, but there is also quality.

It's actually really good, but the service was really bad this time. The waiter wanted to force a tip of €10 on us for a bill of €72 per person and then became rather unfriendly. If he hadn't done that, everyone would certainly have given more. I hope you communicate this to the team again.

On a whim we picked this place for dinner. No idea what to expect there. Now, at the end of this visit, I and my wife agree (how rare!): It wasn't just a nice evening, it was a really nice experience! Meals are selected, put together, prepared and served by master craftsmen. Plus a pleasant atmosphere, great, attentive and considerate staff - simply perfect! We'll meet Again!

YES PLEASE! This restaurant stands out in a positive way. The place has a relaxed atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The waiters are incredibly charismatic and welcoming. The food is super tasty and delicious, but don't expect that you've stepped into a Michelin restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant itself a bit cheesy, but in a cool way. There is an informal and cozy atmosphere, which makes it possible to completely relax and enjoy the meal. All in all, it is a place that can be highly recommended for those looking for a unique dining experience in a relaxed and informal setting. Ay Caramba 😍💃❤️

As you can see, the advertised "special" is always the same and without a menu. A fake show that leaves you feeling quite uncomfortable and taken aback at the end. 130 euros for just a quick meal before the dance. If it had at least tasted fantastic, it would be good. It was average and not appropriate for the price. We were allowed to split up the bill ourselves afterwards because they can't charge separately. You should know what you're getting into. A superficial show, feigned friendliness with a lot of calculation.

Previously great, unfortunately now a flop... Only mass production of food and hardly any service anymore. In the past the food was explained. Today you have to ask what is available. Quality of the steaks was really bad. Out of 7 steaks, only 2 were good, the rest were fried to death. Unfortunately it was left on the plates. We only responded to questions and then even said that the meat was good and that we were wrong. No insight into kitchen mistakes. There was no longer any live music, but there were street vendors with roses that were sold in the shop. Desserts were also smaller compared to previous years. Unfortunately, it has deteriorated greatly and is therefore no longer recommended.
