It was very cramped and extremely loud, and the food was mediocre. I can't share the good reviews. It's an average restaurant.

Had a great lunch, very tasty and reasonably priced. Rabbit in red wine sauce and Victoria perch fillet. I'd happily go back, not far from the Landungsbrücken. It was packed.

We were told only six people could sit there 🙄 But we met some nice people who were happy to share the table with us 😎 Then there were four of us, and the table wouldn't have accommodated any more 🧐 Well, the food was delicious again. And we'd love to come back ☺️

I only have Hamburg, the harbor birthday sun, the Portuguese Quarter. You can't get much better than this. Despite the harbor birthday, we easily got a table outside. The staff exudes a certain professional composure today. The food is top-notch. So go there and experience it...

The tapas, starters and drinks are consistently excellent and prepared with great attention to detail. The ambience is stylish and exudes Portuguese flair. It's lively - the tables are close together and because it's always busy, it's correspondingly loud. Authentic enjoyment in the heart of Hamburg During my visit to Olá Lisboa on a sunny Friday afternoon, the outdoor seating area was busy, so we were given a comfortable spot indoors. The modern ambience conveys a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of the Portuguese capital. The service was quick and friendly. The multilingual labeling of the waitresses, which welcomes the international audience, was particularly practical. We opted for the fish tapas platter for two, accompanied by fresh bread and aioli, which we could order at will. The homemade fries were a treat and not a finished product. The fish, including squid rings, prawns and mussels in various sauces, was excellently prepared. Half a liter of the house wine rounded off the meal. The total bill, including tip, was 60 euros – very good value for money. Olá Lisboa offers authentic Portuguese cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. I can only recommend a visit.

Nice place, friendly and efficient staff. We took the Valencian paella which proved to be totally unsatisfactory, overcooked rice, fish instead of calamari, chicken completely absent. It was simply an overcooked seafood risotto. Since we went there exclusively for the paella.......the judgment is consequent.

Very tasty food! If you want Iberian, you've come to the right place. In week 19 the house wine was definitely recommended! I was particularly impressed by the sea meat stir-fry in lobster sauce. Enjoy it. Muy bien!

We were there for dinner in a group of 14. Although the restaurant was packed, the food came relatively quickly. But one or two drinks were forgotten. The quality of the food was average. Not a highlight, but ok. Then unfortunately a waiter spilled a beer on my back. Jacket, bag, sweater and T-shirt were soaked. Well, that can happen, even if it was unpleasant. The waiter also apologized. But that was it. No further reaction, no apology in the form of a drink or anything like that. And there was no further response when paying. Full bill. When I specifically asked, I was told that I could submit the cleaning bill and given a business card. When I expressed my displeasure about the unsatisfactory situation (wet + smelly sweater + T-shirt, etc.), I was told that there were no other options. This is very disappointing for me and does not correspond to my idea of ​​service. I will avoid the restaurant in the future. Let's see what happens to the cleaning bill.

Our tour guide recommended this place for lunch, despite being a large group, we managed to get a seat outside in the sun. I ordered a beer, and the garlic prawns and salad, in the sun this combination was heavenly! The beer was nice and cold, the salad tasted fresh and crisp, and the prawns soaked in garlic sauce and cooked nicely were to die for!

The food was very good. The staff was, well, I wouldn't say unfriendly; I think they were terribly stressed by so many people. We had 1.5 hours, which was plenty. After that, the next guests arrived. It was incredibly busy, and without a reservation, nothing was possible.

I didn't like the treatment at all, you had to call the waiters several times to get them to listen to you and when you finally got it they treated you with indifference. The food was fine, the fish was ok but it was scarce and the accompaniment was very basic. I don't recommend it

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience We had already reserved our table two months ago and had to cancel at short notice on the day of the reservation because the train I was accompanying was over two hours late - a situation that we had no influence on. The cancellation took place before the reservation period began. Instead of showing understanding for this unfortunate situation, we received an extremely unfriendly message accusing us of harming the catering industry. Such a general and didactic reaction to guests who plan well in advance and look forward to their visit is absolutely incomprehensible to us. We would have liked a little more humanity and accommodation - especially in an industry that thrives on hospitality. After this experience we will not visit the restaurant again in the future. Very unfortunate. **************************************************************** Addendum to my review after the restaurant's response: The email communication described by the restaurant did indeed occur, but only in the days following my original review. Since I wrote the review immediately after receiving the first email, I was of course not able to respond to this later exchange. In addition to the restaurant's statement that if there is a delay of more than two hours, it is generally possible to inform in good time: I think it is understandable that in a situation in which you are traveling with Deutsche Bahn and are already stranded far from Hamburg - with the route completely closed and no replacement service - you initially have other priorities than thinking about a restaurant reservation that you would have really liked to make. In such a situation, the first priority is to find out whether and how you can still reach your actual goal. As soon as this question was clarified for me, I of course informed the restaurant immediately. In any case, the reservation confirmation stated that if you do not show up within 15 minutes, you are no longer entitled to the reserved table. As part of an apology from the owner, I was promised a voucher as compensation, which was to be sent to me by post. To date, however, I have not received this. Due to the Easter holidays, it remains to be seen whether and when the voucher will arrive.

I had lunch at this restaurant today. I think it was the manager of the restaurant, at least he came every minute and asked about the order. The third time I said I didn't have it yet (it hadn't even been 5 minutes at that point) this man/waiter walked away shaking his head. He basically shook his head as if he couldn't believe that I hadn't decided yet. I found that very unpleasant, I didn't give the man any reason to react so rudely because I politely said that the menu was very long and there were so many delicious things and that's why I hadn't decided yet. I also think that as a guest you can take as much time as you want to choose the food. Very unsympathetic, unfriendly service. No recommendation. For me, polite staff who don't shake their heads when I need a little more time are definitely part of good service.

We were there with several people and were divided into three tables. After half an hour the food from the other two tables arrived. However, my table was forgotten for over an hour, even though we asked where our food was. At some point we asked nicely whether it was still possible to cancel the meal because we had to leave slowly and the two groups we came with had already finished their food and we hadn't even received our food. In principle I think it's completely okay if mistakes happen, but it's the way you deal with them and the way we were treated is absolutely not okay. We were complained about and treated very unkindly, which I find cheeky because the mistake was actually not ours. We tried to remain friendly and I expect a little more professionalism. In addition, the food wasn't particularly good. There was a big puddle of oil on my plate and the whole food was also very oily.

We were in the restaurant on the afternoon of a beautiful spring day at the end of March. It was sunny enough that we were able to sit outside. However, they insisted that we use a tiny table for two, even though there was still plenty of space at slightly larger tables. Other guests who were in pairs were also turned away. In total, more than 10 places remained vacant. When the sun had set, we moved inside the restaurant, which wasn't easy and didn't meet with the staff's approval. The food was good but not cheap. We expected more from the seafood platter for “2 to 3 people” at 49 euros. At the “Octopus Galego” we paid 24 euros for thin slices of octopus on thin potato slices. We also had a good meal elsewhere for significantly less money. So we will choose another restaurant for our next visit to Hamburg's Portuguese quarter.

The tables are very closely spaced, so when you go in or out you have to be careful not to run into anyone or anything. The food was okay, but nothing more and the prices are quite high.
