The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They were always attentive and checked if we needed anything. The service was very friendly and polite. The benches and chairs aren't really suitable for sitting for extended periods, and the room gets noisier when all the tables are occupied. However, the noise level was manageable; don't worry, you can still hear each other quite well. 😅

Bistro Lisboa is a little piece of Portugal right in the heart of Krefeld. The garlic prawns are especially heavenly – perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and simply out of this world! Add to that the warm service and cozy atmosphere, which instantly puts you in a vacation mood. We'll definitely be back! Tip: They also sell hand-painted ceramics. It's easy to be tempted ;-)

I would give it 10 stars if that were possible.

I've rarely seen a restaurant with such good service. All the servers were exceptionally friendly and understanding. The food was prepared and served promptly, was delicious, and tasted fresh. The restaurant had a Mediterranean flair, which made us feel very comfortable. One of the servers even took the time to explain the desserts to our children and also made a good recommendation. 😀 The restaurant's prices were completely within our expectations.

A restaurant where you immediately feel at home! The people working there are so welcoming! The food is delicious and freshly prepared. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated! A definite recommendation in Krefeld! It works even with celiac disease. The cook took extra time for me. She uses corn flour for her fish dishes because she doesn't tolerate gluten very well herself. When the fish dishes are breaded, they go into a fryer specifically designed for that purpose. Very little gluten is used in the cooking because everything is made fresh. No Maggi powder or anything like that! There are several gluten-free options. The cook will tell you exactly which ones and, if you ask, explain how they're prepared.

The best Portuguese in NRW! Always a delight

We were there on a Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and ordered food and drinks together. Unfortunately, we didn't get our food until 9:30 p.m. – a full two hours later. After we complained, the cook personally came to our table and apologized, but explained that she was alone in the kitchen. There was no compensation, such as a free drink or an espresso. I find that disappointing, especially since we had made a reservation. For our starter, I ordered a meat dumpling – when I ate it, I discovered it was still frozen inside. A complete no-go for me. For our main course, we had 1 kg of peeled prawns with fries on the side. However, we were served a dish that consisted mainly of a sweet side dish and contained no more than about 200 grams of prawns. There were two of us, and we weren't satisfied – we didn't even touch the greasy dessert. Later at home, I also discovered that the "side dish" was even charged extra and wasn't a side dish at all. Overall, a very disappointing experience – poor quality, an extremely long wait, and no concessions from the restaurant. One thing is for sure: We won't be coming back.

We've been there several times now or picked up food, but I've never rated it 🤣🙈 What can I say? Very friendly, almost familial. We picked it up this time. Prawns... usually always delicious, last time a bit too soft and somehow lacking in garlic broth... This time? Perfect. Nice and firm, nice size, and! amazing garlic broth... You could really make little garlic boats 😱🙈🫶🏻 They also served this crab meat as a small starter 🤣 (I forgot the name 🙈) Great! Then a small! portion of sliced potatoes, I don't want to know how big the large portion is 🤣🤣 Sooo delicious. Amazing.

We were unfortunately disappointed! The kilo of peeled prawns (measured with the boneless prawns and sauce) was a bowl with a lot of sauce and about 30 prawns. The table next to us had the 1/2 kilo portion with less sauce and about the same number of prawns! We had to ask twice to get the bread we ordered to dip in the sauce. By then, the sauce was already cold... The ribs were delicious, but you can't really go wrong with them. The baby calamari were barely visible on the plate next to the huge portion of salad that had been marinated for far too long.

The best restaurant in Krefeld! Everything is highly recommended; the food is prepared with love. The same is evident in the service; all the waiters are super friendly and attentive. You don't often find such good value these days. The winter garden is very popular in the summer; in good weather, it's a very nice place to eat. The music also contributes to the wonderful ambiance.

We were there for the first time today and had a great time. :) We had the all-you-can-eat spare ribs, and it was delicious. The ribs had a unique barbecue sauce. The server, Melissa, was very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back. :)

Overall, we think it's great here. Nice atmosphere, even if the metal chairs are uncomfortable. Great service. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as usual last time (the prawn sauce was completely watery). But we'll try it again anyway, hoping that was an exception.

Freundlicher Service, einfaches aber sehr gutes Essen. Ich hatte lange nicht so perfekte Gambas. Meine Frau hatte zu Hause immer noch Garnelen zwischen den Zähnen und ihrer Aussage nach waren die immer noch köstlich.

The service was outstanding: super friendly, attentive and wonderfully open and warm, so that you feel welcome from the first moment. The ambience is also convincing across the board – a wonderful mix of a cozy atmosphere and a lively atmosphere. Everything is just right here! A big compliment to the entire team – we are guaranteed to come back again and again!

The owner is a piece of gold! Courteous, friendly and makes first-class dishes. The food, especially the prawns, are incredibly good. We usually come here to eat Gambas and drink wine. :)

I took my kids to the zoo and wanted to try this Portuguese restaurant. Recommend Gambas and paella. The garlic sauce of Gambas makes me feel that I can eat a whole baguette with it. The paella is Portuguese style. Compared with the Spanish method, it has more soup, and the chopped parsley also enhances its flavor. For drinks, we tried a pineapple-flavored soda, which was very satisfying.

The Bistro Lisboa is always worth a visit. Very tasty food, good drinks in a nice atmosphere. We'd love to come back. :-)

Monday is highly recommended for every meat eater. You can safely take the spare ribs event with you. We will definitely come back again.

Yesterday, I had dinner here twice within a week. It was simply authentically delicious, as always. The fried baby squid rings are a favorite. I had braised cuttlefish in a delicious sauce. It was a feast once again. Stay and keep up the good work.

Soy portugués, pero vivo en Estados Unidos desde hace unos años. Vino a Alemania de vacaciones y este lugar era genial para tener una muestra de casa. Personal muy amable, y deliciosa comida que podría muy bien haber sido teletransportado directamente desde un restaurante de Lisboa.

A restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. We were there in the evening and it wasn't too busy. At first we had a place in the middle of the guest area, when two other guests left we were offered a place with a bench. Unfortunately, a dish from the menu was not offered that day. Annoying but my second choice tasted very good! Recommended and happy to come again.

Original portugiesische Küche in eigentlich schönem Ambiente, wenn die Stühle schöner und bequemer wären. Hier sollte endlich mal eine Verbesserung vorgenommen werden. Wir waren zu viert essen. Meine Frau, mein Sohn und meine 94-jährige Mutter. Als Vorspeise bestellten wir uns die Vorspeisenplatte, den Schinken-/Käseteller, die Dreiecktasche Huhn zu 3,90€, 2 Rindfleischkroketten zu 2,90€ und Weißbrotscheiben zu 3,30€. Die doch erhöhten Preise für die Vorspeisen nimmt man ja noch aufgrund des besonderen Geschmacks in Kauf. Allerdings für ca. 8 Scheiben Weißbrot 3,30€ zu verlangen ist nach unserer Auffassung überzogen. Hier sollte ein moderater Preis angedacht werden, zumal zu den Gerichten gerne Brot genommen wird. Meine Mutter bestellte sich gegrillte Rippchen mit Kartoffelscheiben BBQ-Soße und Salat und war sehr zufrieden mit der Portion und der Qualität. Meine Frau und ich bestellten uns 1 kg Gambas gepult in Knoblauchsoße und Kartoffelchips dazu. Sehr lecker und die Kartoffelchips lassen sich prima in die Soße tunken und essen. Mein Sohn hatte das Schweinefilet in Senfsoße mit Pommes und Salat und war ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Da wir gut gegessen hatten und gesättigt waren konnten wir uns die feinen Desserts nur in der gekühlten Glasvitrine ansehen.

A lovely birthday celebration for a family member in the new vaulted cellar. Tapas as a starter, an extensive main course buffet (mixed meat and fish) and as a dessert I tried pasteis de nata while walking. Very clocky and cozy. It felt like you were in Lisbon. The restaurant name says it all.

We went for prawns. Also had starter, dessert and some drinks. The prawns were served with garlic in the broth. Really a highlight. I can only recommend it, the girls in service were really great. Dishes are also cooked that you got to know on your vacation in Portugal. You just have to register in advance. I will definitely come back for a cataplana but also for the prawns.

Very authentic Portuguese bistro. Food reminded me a lot of my last visit to Lisbon. Service was very courteous and nice. However, if you would like pastel de nata as dessert, you should say so when reserving your table. Unfortunately we didn't know this and so they were already sold out/reserved. However, I don't want to complain about the food, quite the opposite. Everything was very tasty and the price was also very reasonable. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit and I can only recommend the bistro.
