Wanted to try the food today. Unfortunately the store is permanently closed.

We were here for the first time today and definitely want to come back to try more dishes. The food was very tasty and authentic!

The food looks so simple yet is so delicious - some of the best stuff I've ever tried! Still thinking about the rice soup and meat skewers with plantains I had. Mimi is also a lovely person, along with being a great chef. Definitely recommend!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't really tasty and there was a noticeable lack of spices. The waiter was very friendly and did his best, but that's not enough for a reasonable and authentic restaurant. An effort has been made visually, but the placement of the tables is sometimes rather awkward. Overall, I give it three stars, but I recommend not eating there and instead just stopping by for a drink, as the staff really tries hard.

I recently dined at this restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was good - super friendly staff. The ambiance was also a highlight, with a beautifully decorated space that made the meal feel special. As for the food, it was okay but not exceptional. Some dishes lacked a bit of flavor, and I felt like they could have been more exciting. However, the great service and lovely atmosphere more than made up for it, making the evening enjoyable. All in all, a nice place for a night out, especially if you’re looking for a welcoming vibe and great hospitality!

Fantastic Ethiopian food tucked away in a quiet spot in Tubingen. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the traditional coffee was the perfect ending to a great meal.

Four of us went to Erta Ale for the first time and had a very enjoyable evening in this tastefully decorated restaurant. I found the mixed vegetarian platter (EUR 30 for two people) particularly tasty, as did the dumplings with lentil filling. Price/performance and also the nice, male service (boss?) were top. Therefore 100% recommendation.

I recently ate at the restaurant. My dish (chicken Masai) was at best a chicken goulash, hardly seasoned and the salad that came with it consisted of iceberg lettuce and grated carrots, without any dressing. The dish reminded me a lot of cafeteria food and wasn't the least bit African. The service was friendly and polite. The overall atmosphere was rather old-fashioned.

Don't let the outside scare you and go inside. We were very satisfied. The four of us had a platter of everything and were completely blown away. Ate up everything. The service was very friendly and the prices were moderate. If we lived in KA, we would definitely come back. We definitely recommend a visit to the golden cup.

We only slipped in because we missed the bus and it was pouring rain. Our table was covered in crumbs and the only tea available (black tea) was not tasty.
