Lulu's Bistro in Dreieich

A very authentic place where the restaurant owner, Lulu, personally serves the food and lets you experience traditional Eritrean cuisine by explaining how the dishes are prepared and what ingredients they contain. At our request, she told us a lot about her life in Eritrea, her family, and her time in Germany, where she has lived for 25 years. At times, it was very emotional and, for us, very insightful. We wish Lulu and her family team continued success in their bistro restaurant.

The owner is very friendly and cheerful, and she puts her heart and soul into everything, cooking everything fresh (so expect a bit of a wait if there are already guests). The food was excellent, and everything was explained to us. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back.

While looking for an alternative to a kebab, I came across this place. The food was a pleasant surprise, and it tasted incredibly good! The lady is also very friendly, and you receive a warm welcome :)

Highly recommended! Simply so delicious, and the owner is so welcoming. I'd rather keep it a secret how delicious it is here, and above all, how reasonably priced it is. It's the best African restaurant in the area. I'll be back next time I'm in the area. The best injera, especially the one they keep refilling, wow.

Very friendly owner, small menu, very tasty food, the spiciness of which was adjusted to our liking. The dumplings were delicious and super crispy, a very good vegetarian mixed platter, and mild injera. Fair value for money. We'd be happy to come back.

A very friendly and hospitable owner. The food is very good and plentiful! The spiciness is adjusted to suit the taste. It was nice and spicy, but not too spicy. Very good! I highly recommend it!

Lulu's Bistro offers authentic Eritrean cuisine. The restaurant is quite small and somewhat inconspicuous, but it lives from its super friendly and warm owner. She always looks after her guests with full commitment. We ate there several times and we particularly liked the vegetarian dishes. The “Full” breakfast dish is also very tasty and works equally well as a small lunch.

We came from Frankfurt and often eat Eritrean food there. Had a really tasty vegan/vegetarian platter at Lulus Bistro. Can highly recommend the bistro! Very nice service - thank you!

This is the best Eritrean restaurant I've ever been to. I was visiting there with my friends and we were treated very warmly by Lula (owner) and the food came very quickly and was very tasty. A visit is highly recommended!

Such a sweet ambience and the hospitality was excellent and so friendly 🥰 we were given injera (Eritrean bread) several times without asking and the vegetarian platter I had was very tasty, would be happy to do so again at any time ❤️

Now I'm more than indignant; I've ordered food several times, always OK... now canceled twice in a row after a long time... 1) Time passes to reorient yourself; 2) You have settled in for a certain meal...... Since that was the 2nd time in a row.... NEVER AGAIN and if you are overwhelmed with yourself, then close the ordering option!!!!! Or leave it alone

I like to get food here on my lunch break, I'm a big Kitfo fan, unfortunately they serve this dish here without any side dishes apart from injera, but it still tastes great! I'm glad to have an African restaurant nearby! Can only recommend it

I really enjoy Eritrean food and was happy to eat there. Unfortunately we were not welcome with a dog, which was a shame. We go out to eat a lot, but that hasn't happened to me yet. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, it would definitely have tasted delicious

We went to Lulu’s Bistro for dinner a few times. The injera dishes were always so delicious! We also really enjoyed the vegetarian dishes - A1. We will definitely come back, especially because of the lovely landlady (:

Very good food for good price. It's a real chance to have African cuisine on your doorstep, otherwise you always have to go straight to Frankfurt. Small menu, but sufficient. Very dear landlady. There is also something for breakfast on the menu. But we were there for dinner.

A very nice landlady is here. I've had good entertainment so far. Years ago I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant with 14 people. The African food really inspired my guests.

The atmosphere here should be viewed very critically. The people who enter this shop usually emit a disgusting stench and unfortunately it is also very dark in this place. It's a shame, I thought you could eat here, but there are thick clouds of smoke in the air that even a chain smoker would lose the taste of.
