Unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly tasty and was noticeably lacking in seasoning. The server was very friendly and did his best, but it wasn't enough for a decent and authentic restaurant. While they made an effort to look good, some of the tables were rather awkwardly placed. Overall, I'd give it a generous three stars, but I'd recommend not eating there and just stopping by for a drink instead, as the staff really try hard.

Best African cuisine in North Rhine-Westphalia!

Kuia is a very great restaurant. I was completely enchanted by the delicious aromas and flavors. The Jollof Rice was perfectly prepared and the combination with the sweet plantains, the juicy beef skewer and the delicious chicken wings was simply heavenly. The restaurant itself offers a welcoming atmosphere and an ambience that makes you feel very comfortable. The decor is very cool and the good music in the background makes it even better. Definitely a 10/10.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm, inviting, and stylish. The menu features authentic African dishes. It was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every single element of the dish was fresh and of the highest quality. It was obvious that the kitchen team had great attention to detail and a true passion for food. The service in the restaurant was also top-notch. The staff were attentive and friendly. All in all, our visit to KUIA - afrokitchen & bar was really good. We can't wait to return and try more dishes.

Stilvolle Location mit freundlichen und kompetenten Service. Wir haben zum ersten mal die afrikanische Küche probiert. Es hat uns sehr geschmeckt. Die Karte hatte verschieden Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen war äußerst delikat. Die Servicekräfte haben uns herzlich empfangen und das Ambiente ist auch schön. Das Restaurant ist dazu sehr gut gelegen (Hagen HBF) und super mit öPNV zu erreichen.
