This was the first time I ate Eritrean and Ethiopian. I thought the food was excellent. We were well advised and the service was also very good. Overall we felt very comfortable! I can only recommend it!

I came here last year while visiting Berlin and I knew I had to come back here if I was in town againI had mackrell with a peanut sauce and rice with stunning hot chilli sauce in a side dish. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Would return and consume

We chose the vegetarian platter and finally the coffee ceremony. The food was varied and very tasty. Each dish had its own character. We got two types of injera: one type made from mixed flours (light), the other dark (pure teff flour). The quantity and quality of the individual dishes was very good. The coffee ceremony at the end was great with good coffee and incense. The waitress (owner?) was extremely courteous and attentive. If it were a little warmer in the restaurant now, it would be perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the African Violet restaurant in Frankfurt and I can safely say that it is a truly remarkable place that not only delights with delicious food but also with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As soon as you enter the African Violet, you are greeted by an authentic African design that offers a harmonious mix of traditional flair and modern comfort. The walls are decorated with vibrant colors and artistic wall hangings that fill the room with a cheerful yet relaxed mood. It feels like immersing yourself in a piece of Africa - a place where culture and hospitality go hand in hand. I would particularly like to highlight the fufu that I ordered. This traditional African dish was not only perfectly prepared, but also a real taste explosion. The consistency was wonderful and it combined perfectly with the various sauces and side dishes. I absolutely loved the combination of flavors and the attention to detail that went into the dishes. You can tell right away that they cook with passion here and I can't wait to come back to try out more specialties. The hospitality of the staff is another highlight of my visit. From the moment we walked in the door we were warmly welcomed. The staff were always friendly, courteous and tried extremely hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Time was taken to introduce us to the various dishes and make recommendations that further increased our culinary enjoyment. This personal touch and authentic hospitality contribute significantly to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant. In summary, the African Violet in Frankfurt is not only an excellent restaurant, but also a place where you feel at home. The combination of delicious cuisine, especially the great fufu, the warm hospitality of the staff and the inviting African ambience makes the visit an unforgettable experience. I can only warmly recommend it and look forward to my next visit!

My favorite restaurant in Jena and actually all of Thuringia. Nowhere else will I receive such a warm welcome, friendly hospitality and authentic cooking. It's always a pleasure to be there and I'm already craving the delicious food the next day! The team is super friendly and warm and very pleasant to serve.

The Spicy Chicken dish was quite good :). The fufu wasn't 100% to our taste, but it was still interesting. The service was super friendly and gave us very good advice. I'll definitely come back a second time to try out the rest of the dishes!
