GF wanted to surprise me and ordered food from here. Tilapia and egusi with fufu. Honestly the tilapia must have been really low quality, because the meat tasted like dirt and egusi had some tripe in, which was very smelly, and made the meal itself not enjoyable. Fufu had slightly sour smell and taste like when a food is on the verge of going bad, but maybe it's meant to be like that. I'm only comparing to other fufu I had elsewhere, which were completely neutral. Tried some of each food, thinking maybe it's just a bad feeling, that will pass, but the more I ate, the worse it got. All ended up in the trash. I'm surprised the experience was so bad considering so many good reviews...

If you want to eat authentically African food, you should book a table here. The food tastes great and the service is also super nice. Everything just fits! By the way, if you like spicy, you should try the oxtail soup. Mega!

I got take out oxtail pepper stew with fufu and hibiscus afrosoda. Everything was delicious, cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff. Short wait time. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

We were there as a huge group and felt so welcome! The owner is a real cheerful person and at the same time gets involved energetically - unfortunately he had to wait tables alone that day. The food tasted very good. For the affordable price you will be completely full (I hope the prices never go up :D). I can recommend it to anyone who has never tried West African cuisine - specifically from Nigeria and Sierra Leone. There was also nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Simply great! I'll definitely come back

Barry is an absolute gem! The two vegetarian dishes we ate - the peanut butter and the rice with grilled plantain were absolutely delicious, the best plantain we’ve ever had and the service was 100% on point. Thanks for a great lunch.

Absolute recommendation. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly and welcoming. Portion size is generous as the fufu fills you up quite a lot. I'd definitely recommend trying and seeing if you like the cuisine. We had the potato leaves and the peanut butter and both were great. For vegetarians they have some things on the menu but most dishes include meat (and fish).

First of all, the atmosphere is very nice! We felt so welcome and continued sitting even after finishing our food, just chilling. For the food, it’s definitely good and authentic, but probably not for everyone. The spices used are quite specific. If you are into Nigerian food though you should go.

The food is delicious (I had fufu with peanut sauce) and the employee was super friendly, gave me great advice because all the dishes sounded so delicious and explained to me very pleasantly and patiently how I could eat the dish with my fingers. Will definitely come back!

Disappointing. Goat soup full of offal and very strong smell. Pounded Yam tasted like pate (corn flour, which would have been cheaper). Unfortunately not for us.

It’s just such an unassuming place that doesn’t take itself too seriously but just has authentic vibes and nice people. Such a hidden gem . Food was really quick to come out and service was very attentive. Barry and the staff is so friendly and lovely. I can’t fault it at all. We came here to try something new and loved it and it’s now our favourite restaurant.

This our favorite restaurant in Berlin! I personally tried out the entire menu and never got disappointed. My wife is obsessed with the egusi with pounded yam. The owner make us feel at home each time which is extremely rare. This place is authentic, warm and delicious. I so highly recommend it! It really convey the warmth and hospitality of African countries.

I walked in and waited 5 minutes to be seated. When an employee came tumbling out to the bathroom he was zipping up his pants. The bus boy had to be asked 3 times to wipe the table completely instead of spot cleaning. And when they brought my fufu and egusi it was the worst I’d ever had. I’d recommend ebe ano instead.

Small restaurant nearby the metro station, just few minutes away by foot. The restaurant is very cozy and nice, they have this big window that they can open up to freshen the ambient. The food was amazing, we got a vegetarian soup and a beef soup both with fufu. They brought us a bowl with cold water to help eating the fufu. The dishes were flavorful and tasty, and the fufu was really good. We also got the pan fried platanos as a side dish and the contrast between sweet and salty was spot on. The owner and the waiter were really nice and kind. Being only two people working there it took a little while to get the order, but it was no problem for us. Really recommend this place if you are in Berlin and want to try real African food.

Oh my God it was divinely good 😋 I almost ate my fingers even though I eat African dishes very often. Cordial and good-humoured waiter who makes you laugh. We didn't have reservations and some dishes were no longer available a little before closing, but the service was very fast and everything prepared freshly 🤩

Great load!! It also tasted great. We went there because we finally wanted to try fufu and it's very worth it. The only drawback was that we waited a long time for the food, but that was probably because it was very busy at the time. Highly recommended! :)

I can't rate the food and ambience, but I would like to say something about the service: I was there with my sister an hour before closing time and wasn't sure whether we would get a table. The store was closed but there was still a free table so we decided to wait to see what the owner would say. We stood in the middle of the tables and were not looked at. After 5 minutes I spoke to the owner, who was happily jumping from table to table. He immediately reacted with a harsh "I have to take care of the other guests here first" and made us feel completely unwelcome, so we left after another 2 minutes and luckily found a very, very great West African restaurant 10 minutes away by bike . Please don't misunderstand me: I can completely understand that you're stressed because the hut is full, it's an hour before closing time and hardly anyone has their food on the table; That's why we waited before making ourselves known. Nevertheless, greeting your guests when they enter the store is part of a professional appearance and, to be honest, simply respectful interaction. And it wouldn't have hurt to kindly say that unfortunately we won't be able to serve any more guests today. Therefore only 1 star, but I'm happy if other guests have better experiences.

Some of the best fish and jollof rice I've ever had in Berlin! And the pepper soup and fufu was incredible. Also, everyone is so sweet and friendly. It's truly my new favorite restaurant. 10/10 will go back soon!

I ate Ogbono soup for the first time in my life yesterday. The waiter had warned me beforehand that it was really hardcore if you've never eaten West African food before. What can I say, it was really hardcore :D Next time we'll try something different. But great restaurant, ultra nice waiters and I think if you really want to eat West African food in Berlin, you have to go there! Kind regards to the waiters!

The food was very, very tasty and the host (Berry) was so nice and sooo funny!! His good mood is contagious 🙏🏻 My sister and I ordered fufu with peanut sauce and the meal was extremely filling. So price performance is right 👍🏻 I have a gluten intolerance and he showed me the food packaging so I could be sure that I wouldn't feel bad afterwards. The toilets were very clean and I also liked the music in the background. In general the atmosphere is very relaxed. I can only recommend this shop, just because of the hospitality, but the food is also great. Thanks Berry (I hope I spell your name correctly) and thanks also to the person who prepared the food. 🙏🏻

Take that with all my love, the host was super friendly, the service was very nice, everything was super clean and comfortable. But I had stomach problems the following evening. I can only recommend ordering the tripe if you have a strong stomach, but the oxtail was very, very tasty. It's not the owner's fault as we mistakenly ordered the tripe.

I had my dinner at the restaurant—an early dinner—and just upon arriving, I was welcomed by a smiling gentleman. I sat in the corner, as it was not so busy. Before I sat down, I looked around and noticed that the place was very clean; the bathrooms were clean too. I mention this because I have been to a number of African restaurants, and this one exceeded my expectations. I ordered a West African classic, Egusi and Fufu, and the portion was good. The food was delicious. I also got take-away cow legs, which were also amazing. Thanks to the staff, I will definitely come back again.

If you want delicious African food in Germany, you can't avoid Next Level Restaurant African Food! The restaurant was recommended to us and I have to say that it is actually highly recommended. There are few dishes but they are FRESH and DELICIOUS! In addition, the owner Barry is a very honest and trustworthy person. After eating I forgot my bag including its contents, all my ID and cards there. Barry sent the bag to Stuttgart by post the next day at his own expense. We can highly recommend this restaurant and thank you for your hospitality!

I don’t understand the low rating reviews here! If you don’t like African food - don’t eat it 😂 simple as this. How do you order OKRA soup and then complain about the taste of okra??? Anyways!!! Had this place saved on Maps for a while, finally happened to be in the area and went for lunch ... I'm no expert in West African food but I really liked the taste of everything we ordered 😀 The owner is really charismatic and engaging, he made us feel very welcome at his place, 10/10 will go there again!

I really wanted to try the food after seeing it advertised to me on social media. Well, unfortunately the experience was rather so-so. It was relatively full, but there was still one table available. So we sat there... and waited... waited... they saw us and ignored us. Sometime! After we made our presence known, someone came and was immediately told that it might take a while. Yes, ok... since the store is manageably large, it can't be that bad... or so we thought. To cut the whole thing short: We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. One of the waiters was extremely nice and explained to us that every dish is prepared individually and freshly and that it always takes a long time. No pre-cooking...I honestly find that very problematic. Nobody can explain to me that it shouldn't be possible to pre-cook stews; Other restaurants can do it too. Very strange concept, we probably won't come again, we're too worried about starving. I've already had excellent results elsewhere! Had an African meal and the food was there within 15 minutes...The atmosphere isn't particularly cozy either, but it's modern and clean, which fits. I really hope the concept is revised because the food itself was delicious and the people were friendly.

The food tastes excellent, the atmosphere is warm and fun. However, you have to bring your time because there is a lot going on in the small shop. Still a big recommendation!

The food was good and the staff was friendly, but service was overall bad, they were clearly overwhelmed by the amount of clients. We had dinner, the place was full and people kept coming in. Once you arrive there was nobody to sit you or to tell you “sorry, we are very busy, you can wait if you want” or “sorry, we cannot sit you”, instead you were ignored standing in the middle of the restaurant. Waiting time was very long at all times: sitting, ordering, getting the food and paying. Staff was nice and friendly when you did get to talk to them, but they where clearly overworked and needed at least one more employee in their team. Maybe someone was sick or couldn’t go to work that evening and it could have been an unfortunate one time event.

We went there spontaneously for dinner and got a seat pretty quickly despite the location being full. The service was super friendly and had a warm and relaxed approach to the customers. The food (peanut sauce with fufu and black-eyed peas with plantain) was pretty much perfectly seasoned and therefore pretty damn tasty. Prices were reasonable. Despite the store being full, there was no feeling of being in a train station and you could have a good chat. The atmosphere was very pleasant and thanks to the service, relaxed and relaxed. We felt very comfortable there! Definitely recommended!

We were there spontaneously on a Friday around 7 p.m. and unfortunately had to wait at the entrance. This dragged on and we decided to order to go. Unfortunately we had to wait 2 hours! As an apology, we were given our wine when we asked. Unfortunately, we discovered at home that some food was missing. The boss brought it to us after work because he lives around the corner. The food itself was really tasty and typical of the country and I would like to eat there again, but the waiting time I experienced puts me off. Maybe you'll have better luck if you get there earlier.

I don't even know how to rate this place. I would love to give it a higher note, because of a respect for the culture but the food which we had was completely not our taste. We waited for our dishes for more than an hour (definitely a bit too long but we weren't in a rush so we didn't complain). Ogusi soup wasn't our taste but it was acceptable. BUT okra soup was just horrible - taste, smell, consistency, everything was bad. We love to try new things but this was beyond the level. At the end we ate one dish on half. And went out hungry but without a will to eat further because of the aftertaste of okra. I'm upset that I have to rate it like that but any other rate wouldn't be honest.
