I had a great experience at Tzom Restaurant in Berlin. The place has a beautiful view, and the food was really delicious. The service was friendly and made the visit even better. Overall, a very nice spot, I definitely recommend it!

This is a little gem with amazing food and great vegan options as well as delicious and refreshing non-alcoholic options. I highly reccomend the Red Ice Tea, and the vegan Fatta was so delicious and filling! The owner is also so friendly and kind :=)

Best Eritrean food in town! Served by the nicest and warm-hearted people. I can absolutely recommend everything on the menu, especially the vegan options! Also do ask for what the cook recommendeds, because you will NEVER be disappointed! Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised!

I went to this restaurant for the first time the other night for a birthday celebration, and it was wonderful. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the host Sami is incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back and highly recommend it.

One of my favorite spots in the kiez! I’m still eating my way through the menu but everything I’ve tried so far was just.so.GOOD (I got a bit stuck on the vegetarian fatteh though which is my absolute fave!). The place feels cozy and authentic, and the service is excellent. Sami and his team are amazing, known and loved in the neighborhood, and always put a smile on my face. In the summer, there is a beautiful outdoor seating area under the old plane trees which line the street. 💯recommended! (The previous 1-star ratings are obviously a scam which is very sad)

Similar to Ethiopian food. Our first time here. Very flavorful and satisfying food and portion sizes. We had the Meaddi Mix for 2 with Shiro (lovely smoky taste), Tumtumo (pleasant amount of heat that would suit anyone accustomed to Indian or Thai), Ztni Dorho and Zigni Berai both in rich gravy. The restaurant itself is unassuming but the food is all you need to go there for. With 2 beers, the bill was €49 for 2 of us. Definitely going to reviisit.

The atmosphere was cosy and friendly. The portions are massive. And the flavors simply delicious! It was my first time trying Eritrean cuisine and I loved it!

Unfortunately the food was too spicy for me but that is of course a matter of opinion. Otherwise it was very solid. I didn't find the atmosphere very nice, a bit shabby.

Went here to try something I haven't tried before, I wasn't expecting too much but TZOM FAR exceeded my expectations! Not only were the portion sizes large, everything we tried tasted incredible and the waitress was super attentive and friendly. The mixed platter for 1 was great to try out a few different flavours, the fatta was a huge portion and my personal favourite was the deep fried bread strips with minced meat and yogurt, definitely a must-try here! I've never had Eritrean food (or anything similar to it even) before, can safely say it's definitely worth checking out! We ended up paying about 51 euros in total, for the amount of food we got I'd say you can't ask for much better value.

We came there without any great expectations and were pleasantly surprised in every respect. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, with an authentic and lovingly designed interior that immediately immersed us in Eritrean culture. The service was friendly and attentive, and although we arrived without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and seated straight away. The absolute highlight, however, was the food. The selection of traditional Eritrean dishes was impressive and there was something for every taste. The injera, the traditional flatbread, and the various side dishes and stews that were served with it were particularly excellent. Each dish was freshly prepared and refined with a harmonious combination of spices that perfectly captured the authentic taste of Eritrean cuisine. Our children were equally thrilled and couldn't get enough of the delicious food. What we particularly enjoyed was the communal dining experience. Many dishes were served on a large platter, making the evening a social and interactive experience. It was nice to sit together as a family, share and discover the diversity of Eritrean cuisine. In summary, our spontaneous visit to this Eritrean restaurant was a complete success. We were completely impressed by the excellent implementation of Eritrean cuisine, coupled with the friendly atmosphere and attentive service. We can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit!

The area is nice. Quite place with a nice terrace. Good service. But very expensive for the kind of food. We asked for a mix plate and it was a a poor combination of beans and sauces. Mixing fancy and like a ranch food. It was too expensive for that. The apperol cocktail also very expensive for the mix.

Were there for a birthday. For everyone, it’s their first time eating Eritrean food. It was very tasty and the waiter was super friendly!

We had such a nice time at TZOM, Eritrean restaurant. The food was unique with strong flavour and taste. We enjoyed it a lot, especially the beef stew and the Fatta. Special note for the very friendly and kind service. Overall a great experience with generous portions.

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! Very friendly and very tasty! We recommend the vegan mix plate for 2 people (photo) and the dessert apple pie with chocolate sauce.

I went there with 2 friends because we really want to try new cuisines and I have to say I'm a fan. We ordered 2 starters which the three of us shared and it was really delicious. Everything was well seasoned and after the starters you were left wanting more. When our main courses came, we were full of anticipation and here too I have to say that I was convinced. The bread that came with my meal was nice and crispy and the dish itself has a great natural taste. My friend was also blown away by his dish and couldn't stop talking about how cool he thought it was that the bread was already in his food and added another texture. For dessert we ordered tartufo and shared it between the two of us. It was really delicious and once again a good end to our culinary journey. Overall, I'm thrilled and can recommend it to people who want to try something new. Service was also very friendly!

Since I've never eaten Eritrean food before, I obviously can't judge how authentic the food was. But I can say that everything tasted delicious. Spiciness at just the right temperature for me, diverse textures and flavors. We simply sought advice when choosing and were not disappointed. I just saw online that the menu is being reworked. We are very excited and would love to come back.

A small, neighborhood place serving Eritrean food. Nothing fancy, it was well prepared and tasty. Part of the charm of Berlin is finding restaurants that serve something you would typically never find, and TZOM scores on that regard. It might not be a 'destination', but if you're walking around Kreuzberg and feel hungry, it's worth a stop.

Unfortunately for me it was a disappointment, the food was very greasy and not particularly tasty, the basement location wasn't good either, it's a shame, it wasn't worth the money.

Ein schöne ruhige Location nur paar hundert Meter vom überlaufenen hektischen Admiralsbrücke "Hotspot" entfernt. Gut erreichbar mit ÖPNV z.B. Bus M41 Körtestr. oder Ubahn Schönleinstr. nicht allzu weit vom Kottbuser Tor. Autofahrer können in der Dieffenbach Strasse kostenlos parken wenn mal eine Parklücke frei wird. Sehr zu empfehlen für z.B. ein kühles Augustiner draussen.
