Very good restaurant. If you want to eat here, you should bring your time. It took quite a long time until we got our food. But it was really tasty and the portion size was really good. There were four of us and we ordered a starter platter for 2 and the main course for 4 people. But we're far from making it. I can only recommend the restaurant

I grew up with an Ethiopian nanny who made me injera nearly every day for 15 years, and she sadly passed away 10 years ago. I came here to have injera for the first time in over 10 years and it was an incredibly emotional experience. Truly amazing food, the injera is outstanding, and the wine is great as well. Ephrem and his family run a great restaurant and now that I live here I’ll be a loyal customer!

We got the meat starter and fufu with chicken for the main course. The food was delicious and the staff was also super friendly. It's a nice quiet area and there was seating inside and outside.

The friendly atmosphere and the warm welcome made us immediately feel at home. The waiters were exceptionally nice and patiently explained to us how to properly enjoy the various dishes. The dishes themselves were incredibly tasty and offered an impressive variety of flavors. A particular highlight was when I forgot my glasses in the restaurant and one of the waiters ran after me to bring them to me. Thank you again! We look forward to coming back soon.

We were there to meet and have Christmas dinner. The table was lovingly designed, the service was very attentive and the food was really delicious. I recommend the braised chicken. To top it all off, there was the coffee ceremony with incense.

Everything is delicious!! There are a lot of different flavours to try. We would recommend the fufu and the dju dju beer. The only negative point was the time that we had to wait but it is worth it.

Für jeden der nach etwas sucht, dass man nicht an jeder Ecke findet ist das hier eine Goldgrube. Wir waren für ca. 3 Stunden da und haben jeden Moment und jedes essen voll genossen.

The first thing I noticed was that I didn't have any cutlery🤣 African food is eaten with your finger😉 A very friendly welcome, despite not having a reservation we were lucky and got a table. We chose a mixed platter and fufu with beef. An interesting taste experience. The service was very good, the waiter was attentive. The atmosphere is modern and typical of the country. We really enjoyed it and will definitely check it out again. Thank you for the lovely evening.

It was a very nice visit and therefore a nice lunch. The service was very nice and explained a few things about the menu and the food to us laypeople. The appetizer platter was very good and is definitely recommended. The atmosphere was very cozy and you felt comfortable. If you want to try something new, this is definitely the right place for you!

I have to start by saying that it was my first time eating African food, although in Africa, like in Europe, local food varies. The visit here that there is no cutlery for eating. Everything is eaten with your fingers. The only thing that helps is relatively soft flatbreads that are torn into pieces to hold the food, which in our menu consisted mainly of puree and mushy substances. It tasted very good though. They were very friendly and provided cutlery if necessary. It was an interesting African excursion, but one I certainly won't repeat every week. For dessert there was baked banana rolled out as dough balls, which were also very tasty.

The mix of appetizers was very tasty, then we got the vegetable and meat main dish with the injera bread and I have to say it was too spicy and that unfortunately covered the taste of food. The service is super attentive and friendly as well. I will come back for trying different dishes.

African Violet is a really great African restaurant. The atmosphere and service were exemplary. We had an appetizer platter and an African Violet special platter. The quality of the food was simply great and the platters made it easy to try out various dishes. I can only recommend the restaurant. We'll definitely come back.

Ordered something through Uber Eats today and it was the worst African food I've had so far. I never give just one star, but the food only consisted of oil and smelled and tasted slightly burnt.

I found the ambience and food good. Had a vegetarian plate, next time I want to try fufu. Unfortunately, I found the service really still needs improvement. The gentlemen were really nice, but not that attentive. So nobody came by themselves and asked if you wanted something more to drink. And out of our order (4 people) something was delivered wrong 3 times. Please be sure to listen better when taking your order. The store wasn't that full when we were there. So all in all very good, with a little criticism 🙂

Super Restaurant. Wir sind durch Zufall vorbeigekommen und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Sehr leckerer Mix Teller, mit verschiedenen Äthiopischen Speisen. Die Servicekraft war auch sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder!

food is decent, a bit pricey, and dont order the fufu and eat it with your fingers if you have acrylic nails that are white!! mine changed colors and changed to a ugly yellow that is impossible to wash off after eating it

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend. Das Essen ist eine glatte 1, sehr große Mengen zu super fairen Preisen. Vorallem die Vorspeisenplatte war genial. Die Bedienung immer sofort zur Stelle, zudem extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am Nachbartisch waren einige Einheimische dort essen, was immer ein gutes Zeichen ist. Kommen gerne wieder!

Bombastisch. Hab noch nie so eine geschmacksexplosion durchlebt wie dort. Der Mann war sehr nett und hat auch gefragt ob alles schmeckt und so. Mussten bissln warten auf das Essen aber hat sich gelohnt. Kostet aber egal. Von Innen ist es sehr schön gestaltet

Sind extra aus Mannheim hier hin gefahren und haben es auch definitiv nicht bereut!!!😍 Hatten Fufu mit Rindfleisch und Hähnchen und es war unglaublich, würden definitiv so oft es geht wieder hier her kommen. Wir sind jetzt 2 Tage hintereinander hier hin zum Essen gekommen wäre es doch nicht so weit weg von Mannheim wäre ich hier jeden Tag. Die Mitarbeiter, das Ambiente und das wichtigste das Essen ist Bombe. Ihr werdet es nicht bereuen. 🥰

Bin begeistert! Wir hatten erstklassige Gerichte mit Injera und Fufu. Ersteres hatte ich schon in anderen Restaurants, aber hier fand ich es spannender gewürzt und insgesamt besser. Die Bedienung ist sympathisch und das Lokal außerordentlich schön eingerichtet. So farbenfroh und liebevoll gibt es nicht oft.

Überragendes Essen. Kurz vor unserem Flug nach Bali waren wir Fufu essen. Sehr sehr lecker!

Sehr authentischer Laden mit sehr sympathischem Service! Essen war sehr gut. Preise sind Verhältnismäßig teuer, aber man wird nicht enttäuscht. Und satt wird man allemal! Ambiente ist einladend und gemütlich. Ich werde definitiv nochmal kommen.

Essen war super lecker, der Service ging schnell und sehr freundlich und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war auch top! Wir hatten eine African-Violet Spezial Platte für zwei und nachdem wir das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant waren sowie kulinarisch in dieser Richtung auch noch gar keine Erfahrung hatten haben wir noch eine super Einführung und Erklärung zu allem bekommen. Tolles Essen und ein tolles Erlebnis! :)

Hervorragende Küche und sehr netter Service. Die Linsensuppe ist ein Traum. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder!

Das Essen war gut allerdings stimmt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Ich hatte die gemischte ( vegetarisch + Fleisch) Platte und es hat mit Injera ( glutenfreier Brot) 23 eur gekostet. Es gab kaum Fleischstücke in der Sauce. Es ist gut mal was anderes auszuprobieren aber ich muss nicht unbedingt nochmal hin.

Top Essen, die Vorspeisenplatte war bereits super vielfältig und hatte sehr viele sehr leckere Geschmacksnuancen, der Hauptgang stand dem in Nichts nach und der Honigwein war extrem lecker, 5/5
