La Villageoise Gaststätte in Frankfurt am Main

Würdet ihr die Nachbarschaft bitte nicht mehr jedes Wochenende mit lauter Musik terrorisieren? Ein Wohnviertel ist nun mal nicht eure private Festival-Bühne. Es ist absolut unbegreiflich, mit welcher Arroganz hier die grundlegendsten Regeln des Anstands mit Füßen getreten werden. Wenn sich die Anwohner mehrfach beschweren braucht man keine Messgeräte mehr, sondern einfach nur einen Funken Empathie. Anscheinend interessiert den Betreiber ein friedliches Miteinander nur leider nicht. Ein absolutes Armutszeugnis. Wer Gastronomen unterstützen möchte, denen ihr direktes Umfeld völlig egal ist, kann hier einkehren - allen anderen rate ich dringend ab.

Dieses Restaurant ist äußerst verantwortungslos – es veranstaltet regelmäßig Musikkonzerte mit starkem Bass in einem Wohngebiet und das auch noch bis spät in die Nacht. Die Anwohner in der Nähe leiden sehr darunter. Multikulturalität bedeutet, gute Kulturen zu integrieren, nicht solche, die das Leben anderer zerstören. Darüber hinaus wirkt sich der starke Bass auch negativ auf die Umwelt aus. Ich hoffe, dass der Besitzer des Restaurants zumindest über ein Mindestmaß an Mitgefühl verfügt. Den Bass abzuschalten wird deinen Umsatz nicht beeinträchtigen.

Der Fisch war ausgezeichnet, genau wie der, den man bei uns zu Hause bekommt. Ich habe ihn sehr genossen. Schade, dass das Lamm und die Kebabs schon alle waren.

Wir sind eher durch Zufall im Restaurant in der Soccerhalle zu Gast gewesen, da wir uns nahegelegene Waldstadion wollten und noch etwas Essen wollten. Diesmal keine Currywurst sondern mal beim Kenianer! Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sicher ist das Ambiente und das drumherum ausbaufähig, aber die Gastfreundschaft ist sehr herzlich. Wir haben nach einem gemischten Teller für zwei Personen gefragt und wurden gut beraten. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und passt auch vom Preisleistungsniveau. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielleicht auch mal ohne Fußball im Fokus.

Ich habe zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant bestellt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat mich nicht überzeugt. Die Portionen könnten für den Preis größer sein, und der Geschmack lässt zu wünschen übrig. Auch die „Teller Mix“-Platte für 45 € war den Preis nicht wert. Das Ziegenfleisch war gut, aber der Fisch war mir etwas zu salzig. Meiner Meinung nach sollten die Preise auf der Website aktualisiert werden, um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden.

What can I say??? I ordered a dish from Ndolè but what I was served was far from it! Zero presentation, zero taste! Between the plantain fries having absorbed a lot of oil for some and half-cooked for others, I lost my appetite and had no choice but to send the dish back.

Honestly, a beautiful place, very quiet. A very Cameroonian theme. The food is really good and the value for money is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Frankfurt. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Honest feedback on my experience! I've been to La Villageise a total of four times. The first time in 2021: I was charmed by the dishes despite the slow service. The second time in 2023: the same... everything was delicious, which usually makes you forget the slow service. The third time was in June 2025: I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the service, however, the grilled food (which I usually eat there) had lost a lot of its flavor. The fish and pork we ate were incredibly dry. The fourth time, in June 2025 (exactly one week later): a second disappointment. The grilled food was very dry. I don't know what happened, I just noticed a change that wasn't appreciated. Not to mention the price increase and the smaller portions.

Came here on a whim. Worth the drive from Wiesbaden. Parking may be difficult, depending on time of day.

A recommended restaurant for African cuisine! Food: Very good. I'm not an expert on African cuisine (although you shouldn't say that, because African cuisine is very diverse and regionally different), but I really enjoyed it!! Service was good and courteous. However, I rate this objectively. There would be 5 stars for a mega-top service from upscale gastronomy. I was still satisfied! Ambience: It's a restaurant right next to the football field. It doesn't bother me, on the contrary: the remoteness means that the grill and smoker can run without residents complaining. (By the way: the grilled specialties are top notch!) Conclusion: I've been there twice and will definitely come back! If you like African cuisine and don't have a problem with a pub atmosphere, you're definitely in good hands here. It's definitely me!

First time Cameroon food experience. The fish was great . It have flavours and it was really Good . The chicken was good . The plantains was really great , something similar to the Indian snack version(Pazhampori) . The ambience is sporty . Looks like a family run business. Calm and bear to a turf ground . Accessible by train .

We wanted to try something new and unknown and it was an option because of its proximity to a certain location. Unfortunately it wasn't really good for us (9). The service was nice and friendly, but it seemed a little overwhelmed even though there weren't many guests there. When it comes to dishes, we actually planned to eat the whole menu all over the place, but that failed because of that, for example. Yams and also peanut sauce were out. For the starters, the samosas were rather large balls (we didn't know them as samosas, but ok, we're open to new things) but some of them were still frozen inside. We asked for them to be kept really warm and were then surprisingly given samosas in the format we were familiar with Shape!! Unfortunately, the main courses arrived at quite different times and were not really liked, but it could also be that the mostly bitter part of the NDolo and the partly very fatty and mixed goat meat were simply not to our taste. The chicken PouleDege tasted ok but was relatively cheap for the price. As I said, maybe it wasn't to our taste and maybe it was a bit of an unfortunate day for the kitchen... but I can't give it more than 3-3.5 stars this time. I would almost see the location as a kind of sports bar rather than a restaurant.

Auf jeden Fall 5 sterne. Das Essen ist der Hammer. Gegrillte Makerel muss man probieren. Warte Zeit ist ganz ok. Tolle Musik runden das ganze ab. Mein Mann und ich kommen aus München und waren ganz positive beindrückt.

Ich habe das Essen sehr gut genossen. Es ist ein Delice, Lob an den Koch/ die Köchin. Die Atmosphäre ist ebenfalls sehr gut gewesen. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall nur empfehlen, kamerunische Gerichte aus kamerunische Art gekocht. Beim Essen fühlte ich mich wie in Kamerun 😊. Mein Verbesserungsvorschlag würde ein Bisschen an das Service gehen. Sonst war alles top 👍🏾

Nicht vom Ambiente täuschen lassen. Die Küche ist der Hammer. Authentisch und sehr gut. Zudem sind alle Bediensteten richtig bemüht und freundlich. Tipp: das Guinness aus Nigeria hat nichts mit dem "normalen" Guinness zu tun und ist echt lecker.
