We sat outside, nice on the heated bench. The service was great, the service staff were very polite and attentive. There was a delicious pumpkin soup greeting from the kitchen. Be sure to reserve otherwise there may not be space. The steaks are definitely recommended.

I have to say, you felt very comfortable as soon as you walked in. The ambience is an eye-catcher! The selection of meat (accompanied by the restaurant owner) was very inviting. The barmaid, a very pleasant and friendly person. But then came the food: my daughter had a fillet steak with an open potato and fried broccoli (everything as it should be), I had two kinds of beef, fried potatoes with bacon, fried mushrooms, braised onions... and there was the worm in there ! The meat was cooked properly, but... not worth the money (I have to say that my family and I (the four of us) spend 1200 euros a month)! We are just lovers of good meat. And now here it comes: the chef not only seasoned the meat for me, but also THE FRIED POTATOES WITH BACON with rock salt (OMG). Bacon and salt, that's not possible! I left half of it behind! When asked if everything was OK, I expressed my complaint. After apologizing, the barmaid left saying she would now tell the chef and admonish him for it. After less than 1 minute the owner came out of the kitchen and called me a liar! According to him, something like that can't happen! My daughter and I both tried the fried potatoes and felt the rock salt in the potatoes and onions and crumbled them with our teeth! Conclusion: In a beautiful ambience, portrayed as a liar. One just ate well...and paid over 200. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Exceptionally warm service, very relaxed wine advice, rib eye buttery and very tasty. Prices for the main courses are absolutely fair in relation to the quality, wine/side dishes are more expensive. Would love to come back. Interior a bit warm.

It's a shame that this restaurant is closing. I felt very comfortable and ate very well!

Der Ort des Restaurants ist historisch geprägt, die in den 30er Jahren erbaute Kaserne wurde von der NVA und Bundeswehr genutzt, um später Teil des im Jahr 2011 eröffneten Golfparks zu sein. Das im Souterrain gelegene Steakhaus „Hugos“ besticht von Beginn an mit Charme und gefühlter Häuslichkeit. Das Couvert in dem nicht zu großen Gastraum mit halboffener Küche strahlt Natürlichkeit und Eleganz aus. Die Speisekarte lässt das Grillherz hochschlagen, von Rumpfsteak über Dry Aged bis Surf and Turf ist alles dabei. Hochwertige Beilagen und Dips können gesondert geordert werden. Die in der Karte eigens beschriebenen Garstufen werden eingehalten. Die Speisen, in diesem Fall ein Rinderfilet mit einer Pfefferjus, als auch der bestellte Rotwein, müssen qualitativ als hervorragend beschrieben werden. Der Service war gut, beim Rotweinservice war man bemüht: Die den Wein prüfendende Person, der sogenannte Degustant, erhält sein Glas zuletzt gefüllt. Das mag etwas anmaßend klingen, doch bei einem derartigen Preissegment sollte eine derart tradierte Geschmacksprobe fehlerfrei funktionieren. Dennoch dürfte das Steakhaus „Hugos“ das mit Abstand beste Restaurant der Stadt sein. Erwähnenswert ist zudem die Bar im angrenzenden Raum, denn diese stammt aus Berlin. Im Jahr 1987 wurde mithilfe von japanischen Geldgebern und schwedischen Ingenieuren das „Grand Hotel“, Ecke Friedrichstraße, errichtet. Eine Nobel-Herberge, die es noch heute, leicht verändert, gibt. Die originale Bar, inclusive Bestuhlung, stand zum Verkauf und ist nun vielleicht die gemütlichste Bar in Sachsen-Anhalt.

Everything is great. The steak is amazing but everything else tastes very good too. Top service and very good value for money 👍👍

Food good and plentiful at a fair price

Delicious food, cool location. Unfortunately we had to wait a while for the drinks and food, but it was also just full. Nice service!

The epitome of "going out for a good steak." Great quality, stylishly furnished. The meat on point. Even with a small budget you can get enough (500g spare ribs), otherwise it's just a treat on special occasions. Attentive and professional staff. A small misunderstanding was resolved quickly and generously. That's how it has to be.

This restaurant is absolutely recommended. We will definitely come back.

Meat is to die for, and the bruscetta is fantastic, not like its neighbor "Casa Mia". The best thing is that the atmosphere seems nice and lively, quite the opposite to "Casa Mia".

The best steak I have ever eaten so the price is justified. The greeting from the kitchen was also super delicious, the bread was unique. We'll definitely come back

Wir sind gestern mit acht Leuten da gewesen und es war einfach alles super! Der Service, das Essen... der Cheesecake ist der Hammer! Zum Schluss kam sogar der Koch noch zum Tisch und hat gefragt, ob alles gut war. Das habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt. Wir konnten sogar noch kurz über Rezepte fachsimpeln ;). Wir kommen garantiert wieder!
