Located somewhat hidden on Hainer Weg in Sachsenhausen. Large menu with a focus on steak and fillet but also fish and scampi are offered. Side dishes can be ordered separately. At the beginning there was a small portion of soup as a greeting from the kitchen. All of our dishes tasted excellent. Our birthday child received a very tasty dessert from the house (enough for the 3 of us) to round it off. All in all, an extremely pleasant evening with friendly service in an attractive atmosphere. Gladly again.

I found this quaint restaurant when Googling where to find a good chateaubriand while visiting Frankfurt. It's a bit out of the way and across the river from the old town area but well worth it. First of all, great "German" a.k.a. "huge" size pours on the wine...always appreciated. Then, we were brought a complimentary broccoli cream soup with fresh bread that was extremely tasty. Next, we of course had the chateaubriand accompanied by a red wine sauce and the beef fillet topped with a delicious bleu cheese sauce. Both of the cuts of beef were tender and succulent but I especially enjoyed the bleu cheese sauce. For sides, we had the creamed spinach and the parmesan mashed potatoes, both of which I highly recommend. Last, we were surprised with a sampler dessert that was the perfect end to a very satisfying dinner. I'm still thinking about their Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend the restaurant and the prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of food.

Guys!, I came here because of the good reviews. And I can confirm it! the stars are deserved. Haven't read all the reviews, but I think that the truly EXPERT seasoning of all the dishes is overdue a mention! The mashed potatoes had a bit of butter (😄) and were otherwise very round and well seasoned, and THE SPINACH was a good step ahead of that. I'd love to come back! And if my Uncle Stefan ever shows up here (without me), NOTES: HE IS UNWANTED HERE!!! puts down weaker people and wants to benefit from my experience. ... freeloading!!! Throw him out!! Thank you!!🫡

I went here with my girlfriend and another couple and we had a great evening. The ambience isn't fancy, but the food was first class. As a starter I had a beef tartare, then as a main course a fillet and then there was a mixed dessert platter for the four of us. Everything was very tasty and we would be happy to come back any time. Price/performance better than other upscale steakhouses in FFM! Only the wine list could be more extensive.

We stopped into Maindiner in Frankfurt for dinner and it fully deserves its stellar 5-star reputation. It’s in the heart of the city with a perfect patio and top notch service. While having wrote table clothes, the atmosphere is non pretentious. My king prawns were delicious with all the things, succulent, flavorful and perfectly cooked and paired perfectly with my fresh green salad. We very much enjoyed our experience at Maindiner!

I've been here a few times, it's always an experience, super tasty steak and very friendly staff. Today we celebrated a friend's birthday and the table was decorated, we had a delicious dessert and we are already looking forward to the next time!

Absolute tourist trap. We ordered the higher quality US Nebraska steaks but the quality of meat is nowhere near US Nebraska beef. The “king prawns” are frozen shrimps the size of my pinky

We ate at Maindiner yesterday and were simply thrilled by the quality of the steaks and side dishes! We had the tuna tartare as a starter and the steak trilogy with 3 different sauces and the truffle steak as a main course! Everything tasted super delicious! Of course, the delicious classic side dishes such as spinach and mashed potatoes should not be missing either! We can only recommend the Maindiner in Frankfurt and would love to come back! One sentence summary... a place that brands itself as a steakhouse MUST NEVER serve a one finger thick steak and MUST ALWAYS hit the temperature accurately, i.e., medium must be medium. If this fails, the free deserts change nothing. The service, however, is impeccable. One more point for improvement... you can't have a huge carte de vine and a 5 item list of cognac digestifs, and if you insist on 5... have at least 2 XOs

The greeting from the kitchen was a pumpkin soup, which was very tasty. The appetizer platter for two people was very generous. It partly consisted of fried convenience products, but also tuna tartare, salmon tartare and beef tartare. Main courses were also delicious and fried to perfection. The atmosphere was neat and cozy. We sat on the terrace, which is completely protected from the wind. But the best thing last night was the male waiter, who was very attentive, polite and friendly. This was very good for the evening. Therefore, we recommend this restaurant and hope the waiter is appreciated by the boss.

Small nice restaurant. The food was very good! The atmosphere is nicely decorated. There was a greeting from the kitchen. You should definitely make a reservation. Even during the week it was very crowded after 7 p.m. The price is a bit higher for the portion sizes. Hence half a star deduction. The service was nice but sometimes not professional. A soup was spilled on one of our guests and the bill took a very long time. Hence the half star deduction You can park easily nearby in the Henningerturm car park.

This was the best food/meat I have ever eaten. The excellent taste together with the unique consistency and the in-house blend of herbs is a true experience. Anyone in Frankfurt should definitely try this. Service also brilliant 10/10.

Intrigued by the good rating here on Google ("4.7"), we had dinner at the Maindiner on our last visit to Frankfurt. According to our preferences, very "filet-heavy" dishes were ordered... the 200g Black Angus Filet for €34 with additional pepper sauce and fries, the "Dreierlei Filet" for €52 with additional baked potato and spinach and the "Filet Truffle Parmesan" for €45 with additional grilled vegetables. The service was quick and attentive and, in keeping with a decent steakhouse, we were asked about the desired doneness for the fillet. By the way, beforehand there was a delicious soup from the kitchen as a greeting. Now to the main course: The filet of truffle parmesan was unfortunately partially fried more than desired, i.e. but still an interesting dish. On the other hand, the Black Angus fillet with pepper sauce offered an all-round solid performance. But the most interesting dish was the “Dreierlei Filet”, which featured three different types of fillet, two different sauces and a herb coating. Relieved by a few euros, but ultimately satisfied and full, we left the Maindiner with the opinion that you can eat well there, even if the perfect cooking level wasn't always 100% achieved.

What a great experience! We were traveling from a 50th birthday celebration and had a layover in Frankfurt on our way home on the actual birthday. I made a reservation online and mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived, they had balloons and birthday banner at a table set aside for us. The service was top-notch and portions generous. Excellent service and steaks! We will definitely return!

Ambience and service very good, there is nothing to complain about but the food is unfortunately only mediocre, also fillet is relatively poor, sauces are ok but not praiseworthy. If I were close by, I'd probably go back...but wouldn't choose it. Kaiserschmarn ok but not particularly good... Tartufo unfortunately not recommended.

Tartar, steaks and also the dessert were absolutely premium. Expectations are consistently exceeded with the unexpected and that inspires. I have never experienced service so good in a regular restaurant. There is someone at work who understands gastronomy and business very well. Anyone who lives in Frankfurt should definitely go here.

Sehr nette Begrüßung und aufmerksamer Service! Wir wurden mit einer Kastaniensuppee als Gruß aus der Küche überrascht. Das Steak sowie der anschließende Kaiserschmarren waren ebenfalls auf sehr hohem Niveau. Bleibt so! Wir kommen wieder!

Die guten Bewertungen können wir leider nicht unbedingt nachvollziehen. Eine Mittelklasse Steakhaus, mehr nicht. Fleisch war OK, mehr jedoch nicht. Alle hatten Sehnen O.ä. in den Stücken. Die Rotweinsauce war gut. Eine Ofenkartoffel, zweimal mit rohem Kern serviert und dann auf der Rechnung, obwohl gesagt wurde, dass es runter geht. Nach Bemerkung hat man es runtergenommen. Kaiserschmarrn als extrem gut angepriesen, leider auch das nicht unser Geschmack. Hat sehr nach Grieß geschmeckt. Alle Desserts hatten extrem viel Sahne auf dem Teller. Service ok, aber es hat auch keiner etwas dafür getan, dass wir sagen würden "toller Service". Der Hauscocktail war gut, würden wir wieder nehmen. Ambiente ok, aber nichts Besonderes. Preis Leistung stimmt hier nicht, wie gesagt ein Mittelklasse Steakhaus mit mehr Schein als Sein.

Nous y avons dîné le soir du réveillon, au menu viande d'argentine ou américaine, très bonne et cuite à la perfection. Les extras sont très bons aussi. Service top, l'ambiance était très sympa pour cette soirée de Noël. A recommander si vous êtes de passage à francfort.

Wir kennen das Restaurant und waren diesmal an Heiligabend dort. Es war sehr gut besucht und obwohl wir eine Reservierung hatten ( wir waren ein bisschen zu spät) mussten wir noch zusätzlich 1/2 Stunde warten. Wir wurden zu Glühwein eingeladen und der Maitre D´ und dann ,nicht erst nachdem wir bestellten schon vorher, teilte er uns mit dass wir zu den Vorspeisen und den Getränken eingeladen sein wegen der langen Wartezeit.. Der Service war super und das Essen natürlich auch. Also, Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen und vorallem der Maitre der hier wirklich Klasse gezeigt hat , was wiederum das Restaurant zusätzlich aufwertet. Kann ich nur uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Wir waren mit Freunden dort essen. Unser reservierte Tisch für 21Uhr war noch nicht frei. Wir bekamen als Entschuldigung sofort für die Wartezeit Prosecco gereicht. Der gemischte Vorspeisenteller war sehr lecker, vor allem die verschiedenen Tartars. Wir hatten 4 unterschiedliche Steaks, alle vier waren perfekt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und haben den Abend genossen. Wenn wir wieder mal lecker Steak essen wollen, dann gehen wir wieder dorthin. Lieben Dank

Ok so 1st time there ... we order the Blue cheese steak and King Prawns. If you dont go while your in Frankfurt you dont lobe yourself... thats the best way i can put it. The food here is absolutely amazing. A must try ... the escargot !!! Your tongue will dance !! You will sing !!

Im Maindiner in Frankfurt hatte ich ein herausragendes kulinarisches Erlebnis. Die Vielfalt und Qualität der Speisen waren beeindruckend – jedes Gericht ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Der Service war exzellent, aufmerksam und freundlich. Die angenehme Atmosphäre und das durchdachte Ambiente trugen zu einem rundum gelungenen Abend bei. Ein absolutes Muss für Feinschmecker, die erstklassiges Essen und erstklassigen Service schätzen.

Sehr gute, empfehlenswerte, gehobene Location, mehr als ein gutes Steakhouse: geschulter, freundlicher und sehr angenehmer Service, gute Atmosphäre, sehr schmackhafte und sorgfältig zubereitete Gerichte, beste Qualität der Produkte bis hin zum köstlichen Kaiserschmarren als Dessert und dem passenden Wein. Klasse! Weiter so! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein ausgezeichnetes Ribeye. Preise sind natürlich etwas gehoben, aber für die Qualität eigtl noch zu niedrig. Ansonsten ein sehr netter Service und man sitzt angenehm. Leider sind die Gin und Whiskeyflaschen neben den Tischen kein selfervice 😉

Unfassbar gut, wirklich durchweg volle Punktzahl. Das Essen war mega! Ein Änderungswunsch, der nicht umgesetzt wurde, wurde direkt vom Service auf die eigene Kappe genommen ("ich habe es vergessen weiter zu geben, da kann die Küche nichts für") und mit einem Getränk wieder gut gemacht! Richtig behandelt, kann ein "Fehler" zu einer besseren Bewertung führen, als wenn er gar nicht passiert wäre!! Ambiente war auch super, haben draußen gesessen - die Rückenlehnen der Bank sind beheizt und auch sonst kann man es da bei (fast) jedem Wetter wirklich gut aushalten. Wir waren nicht das letzte Mal dort!

Top Speisen, top Service. Jedes Mal wieder super gerne!

Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier nicht. Der Service ist bemüht aber musste an verschiedene Sachen erinnert werden. Nicht sehr aufmerksam aber ansonsten freundlich. Steaks waren ok. Beilagen auch, aber das bisschen Sauce für 4€ extra ist schon ziemlich happig. Espresso Martini für 14,50€ ziemlich teuer dafür, dass das Glas nicht mal richtig voll war. Marillenknödel zum Nachtisch waren zwei kleine Knödel total braun/dunkel frittiert, sehr hart und geschmacklich trocken und fad. Wir sind hergekommen wegen den guten Bewertungen aber leider hat es uns nicht überzeugt. Für den hohen Preis lohnt sich das nicht.

Gastronomie mit Gastfreundschaft! Sehr empfehlenswert. Essen sehr lecker, prima Getränkeauswahl, Service flott und freundlich. Verschiedene Vorspeisen, alle klasse. Gruß aus der Küche ebenfalls. Filet in 3 unterschiedlichen Garstufen, 3 mal perfekt. Angenehmes Ambiente. Es gibt einen Bereich für die Zigarette danach, oder davor. 4 Personen haben prächtig zugeschlagen, Preis- Leistung sehr gut. . Wir kommen wieder.

We had the steaks and the king prawns. Fabulous! Service was great. Desserts was so yummy- Kaiserscharrn and Apple strudel. And also the digestif- Mirabelle and Wild cherry.

This was our favorite restaurant during a two week trip through Switzerland and Germany! I’m a big fan of steak and this was the best truffle steak we’ve ever tasted. The cut of filet was solid but the spices and truffle flavoring were absolutely incredible! Little things this restaurant did were things like a nice complimentary soup and bread before the meal. Staff were also attentive and extremely friendly. This restaurant was an absolute gem and would highly recommend!
