Let's start with the positive aspects. The meat was excellently prepared, the fillet perfectly cooked. Also, the restaurant is very small and the waiters kept poking me. Furthermore, the staff lacks tact and their jokes are often simply inappropriate.

I went there on a recommendation and I'm very disappointed. The table was reserved, but the welcome was disappointing. I don't expect much, but I do expect to be a welcome guest. I didn't feel that way at all. Words like "Be glad you have a seat" show me that I wasn't welcome. The service was very attentive, but that couldn't make up for the rest. The restaurant was full, and the noise level was correspondingly high. I was extremely disappointed with the food. We had rump steak, ribeye, baked beans, corn on the cob, and extra onions. We started with a mixed salad. The salad was nice but unimaginative, with a house dressing that tasted like a store-bought product. The bread for the homemade spread was very tasty, fresh, and crusty, but the spread itself was far too oily and very spicy. ... I love steaks and know several steakhouses outside of Frankfurt, so I feel I can offer these comments. The rump steak was disappointing, very fatty, probably due to the onions, which were dripping with grease and sinewy. The corn on the cob was unevenly cooked and had clearly been deep-fried. I'm only familiar with it boiled. We had a view of the kitchen, so I saw this. The baked beans came from a can, perhaps with a little tomato paste. The whole experience doesn't live up to the standards of one of Frankfurt's oldest steakhouses. It wasn't good value for money. What a shame. Kudos to the service staff, who responded very well to my feedback that it wasn't up to par. But I'm sure they won't change anything. The friendly gentleman who greeted us will probably say, "I can do without these customers." True, but apparently we're not the only ones who feel this way, and writing a review takes time, either positive or negative. It's a shame, but I certainly won't be a customer here again. This is a very well-known steakhouse, and both the quality of the food and the ambiance are excellent. I fully respect the restaurant's reservation policy and the necessary table rotation. However, I experienced a kind of rudeness from one of the waiters, which he apparently considers part of his "efficiency." Looking at other guests' reviews, it's noticeable that this particular waiter is mentioned several times. This suggests that it wasn't a misunderstanding, but rather a fundamental attitude that leaves guests with an unpleasant feeling.

Delicious and well cooked steak (medium) with very friendly staff (the Italian gentleman), nice wine and nice atmosphere. Mixed salad with egg = 4/5 only because there was a bit too much sauce 300g tenderloin (medium) = 5/5 and delicious and cooked to medium perfection. The fries that came with it were also perfect size and perfect crispy. Highly recommended

The steak, baked potato, Caesar salad, and the homemade, juicy meatballs were truly delicious! We shared the Caesar salad and a bottle of water. Overall, we loved the meal – I would only deduct a point for the price.

I've been going to this steakhouse since I was a child and have always had very positive experiences over the years, especially with the waiters, who were always friendly and attentive. That's why my last visit was so disappointing. When I simply wanted to buy the steak sauce (without eating in), I had my first encounter with the owner. He was very unfriendly and dismissive. Apparently, you don't feel welcome if you "only" want to buy something, even though that's exactly what's on offer. Friends of mine had similar experiences when they also wanted to buy the steak sauce. If certain products are clearly not popular, perhaps they shouldn't be offered at all. Overall, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected, which is a real shame after so many years. Unfortunately, I won't be visiting this steakhouse again in the future.

Yesterday we reserved a table for five people. Because we were 15 minutes late, the owner himself turned us away, saying, "I don't want any more of you," even though a very nice waiter was about to seat us at one of three available tables. As several previous reviews have already pointed out, the owner is very arrogant and condescending. Evidence of his arrogance can be seen in how he comments on every one-star review instead of changing his behavior.

Please wear a suit when you come here. Since it's right on our doorstep, we went dressed in smart but comfortable clothes. Apparently, that's why we were treated like students. They only paid attention to the men in suits, and I received practically no service. That really annoyed me. The food was also bad (we ordered the meat medium-rare, it came well-done and was much too salty). When I honestly said that we didn't want to leave a tip because I was dissatisfied, they reacted with incomprehension and asked me, in essence, why we had eaten almost everything. Of course you eat your food when you pay almost €100 for a meal 😅 It's not free, after all; I paid with my own money. I really can't understand that.

Traditional best place for steak in Frankfurt

If you're looking for a truly excellent steak, this is the place to go! The meat is absolutely top-notch – perfectly cooked, juicy, and simply bursting with flavor. You can immediately tell that real quality is being grilled here. However, the service could be a bit more attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is rather basic and not quite as inviting as you'd expect from a good steakhouse. Nevertheless, the steak alone is worth the visit! A definite recommendation for meat lovers – even if there's still room for improvement.

On the evening of November 4th, I had Filet and Rumsteak, beet salad, cucumber salad, and French fries. I ordered the meat medium, and it was incredibly tender and seasoned very well. In Germany, I always had a hard time after eating the salty seasoning at restaurants, but this was so delicious and didn't make my face swell, so if you struggle with liver problems, give it a try.

Reservations are essential, as the restaurant is always full. And for good reason, because the steaks are fantastic. It's great that the dishes come in different sizes. This way, everyone can choose the right size for their appetite and complement the meal with the offered side dishes. I'll definitely be back.

We (mother and daughter) were at the Buffalo Steakhouse in Frankfurt for the second time – unfortunately, with very different experiences. On our first visit, despite not having a reservation, we were served by an extremely pleasant Italian waiter. Friendly, attentive, and professional – just as you would expect. The steak was also excellent, tender, and perfectly cooked. The salad and jacket potato were rather average. On our second visit (this time with a reservation), the experience was unfortunately the opposite: We were repeatedly ignored, had to order our second beer in a roundabout way, and the regular at the next table obviously had priority. The bartender's behavior was particularly unpleasant – arrogant and disinterested. He placed our beer on the table behind his back while continuing to chat with the man at the next table. As a woman, you really feel "welcome" – ironically speaking. The food was of the same quality the second time around.

In my opinion the best value for money steak house in Frankfurt. Usually we order 600g ribeye and never got disappointed. Quality very good and cooked perfectly to preference. Crust is a little crunchy, not sure whether they use a little rub. Good choice of sides. We like the grilled bell peppers. Staff friendly and not pushy. Prices, considering the location, super fair.

He selects his guests at his own discretion, arbitrarily deciding who's "right" and who isn't, and in doing so, conveys an extremely unpleasant, unwelcoming aura. This way of treating guests is disrespectful, unprofessional, and immediately spoils the pleasure of the visit. It's a shame, because the food and service deserve much better—but under this management, it's not a place you'd want to return to.

We’ve wrapped up our South America trip and are on our way home, with a stopover in Frankfurt for the night. Discovered a hidden gem of a steakhouse specializing in Argentinian beef! If you’re not a beef eater, the options are a bit limited, but I managed to find a few good alternatives. The beef was perfectly cooked, and we couldn’t resist adding their signature burger steak—it was excellent. Thankfully, we arrived early and managed to get a table, which had to be vacated by 8 pm. Definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. Service was made even more enjoyable by our wonderful Italian waiter, who brought genuine warmth to the experience!

Der Service ist einfach großartig, das Team ist immer gut gelaunt und hilfsbereit. Selbst die offen Rotweine sind grandios, aber das Fleisch ist sagenhaft und immer auf dem Punkt gegrillt. I made a reservation for lunch for 4 people on June 5, 2025. I come here often, the food is delicious, and the service is good, but today I was upset because of one waiter.. I knew it was a place with a lot of food, so I ordered 2 medium steaks, 1 salad, and 3 side dishes for 4 people. When I asked for plates to share, they said they would charge extra for the empty plates.. This is the first time I've seen a restaurant like this in Europe;; When I finally paid, it came to 129 euros, so I asked them to make it 132 euros, but they added 1 euro to make it 133 euros. I liked this place, but I was extremely disappointed today. I won't go there again.

We were there for the first time and had a great experience! Very friendly staff who really welcomed you, a lovely atmosphere in the middle of the city, but somehow tucked away between the buildings, so you don't experience any noise but are still in the middle of it all. The steaks, one sirloin steak and one rump steak, were prepared exactly as ordered and were tender and very tasty! The price/performance ratio is also very good. Of course, it should be understood that steaks cost a bit more than a plate of pasta. We would definitely go back.

If you want to eat a good steak in Frankfurt, go to buffalo. We love going out for steak and always treat ourselves to one when we travel. The visit to the Buffalo rounded off our trip perfectly. The meat was buttery soft. Medium on point and a baked potato with quark... super delicious. The menu is clear and you can order your own side dishes to go with your meat. The service is very attentive, friendly and they gave us the opportunity to get a table despite not having a reservation. We didn't have to wait long to take our order. Drinks came quickly and the food also came promptly. After ordering, I wanted to change my supplement, which was made possible. Really great shop.
