The lunch is delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff is friendly, and when the weather is nice, you can sit outside.

Ordered for the first time, the lasagna was tasty but the portion was small and practically cold. Ordered for the second time, the lasagna was so ridiculously small that no five-year-old would be satisfied with it – and it cost over €15, by the way. This isn't even a matter of opinion anymore, this is a scam.

Really good steaks and service. They catered for my celiac girlfriend. We asked beforehand and the waitress immediately knew about us and we had an amazing service. They made sure that everything is safe. Definitely recommend!

Bad atmosphere, everybody think they are above someone

Unfortunately, smoking is allowed in VAI VAI even though it is prohibited.

The VAIVAI burger is very unassuming, but it's one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I recommend ordering it with the truffle mayo!

On weekend evenings, this is the best place to party with class and sophistication. A fantastic atmosphere, and the cocktails are world-class. Elias made our evening truly special – thank you from the bottom of my heart, and without you, our evening wouldn't have been so wonderful.

The "receptionist" with the glasses thinks she created the world. I've never seen anyone so unfriendly. The food can be as good as it wants, but with such a customer service, never again! It's a disgrace. Even half a star is too much for the reception!

Fantastic location, wonderful terrace and a great concept, in the front the bar is the restaurant on the left and the lounge on the right, a DJ plays here on Friday and Saturday evenings. The terrace is in the sun all day and is a real asset. The food is extremely good.

They have a nice, sort of enclosed patio offset from the sidewalk and street. I was worried the food would be a bit overpriced. But the Beyond Burger, for example, was not much more expensive than across the street at Dominion and was tasty. It's a good lunch spot in the Westend area. It also seems kind of crowded in the evenings so I'm not sure if there might be certain hours to avoid to be able to find a spot.

The food is really great, and I enjoy coming here. But the service isn't ideal, and with the high prices, you just expect more.

The food is good and the portions are large. Unfortunately, we were unlucky because several children were sitting a few tables away that day, and they were unbearably loud! However, the service was super attentive, which made us happy.

Unfortunately, disappointing. Drinks were good, but the quality of the food and the response to feedback were unsatisfactory. I had the VaiVai Burger. It was lukewarm, bland, and the fries were cold/sloppy. The waiter's only response was, "I'll pass it on to the kitchen." No suggestion, no exchange, no free drink, or anything like that. For dessert, I ordered a tiramisu. It had absolutely nothing to do with an Italian tiramisu. It was a soft, jam-flavored mush. Terrible...

The restaurant has a really spacious interior with beautiful decor. The seating area is wide and clean, and it’s not very crowded during lunch. The pasta was super delicious, and I’d highly recommend the lasagna too — it’s made with Angus ground beef, flavorful without being too salty, and the portion is generous. The steak with fries didn’t quite feel like a traditional steak, but the meat was tender and pretty good. It went well with the fries too.

There was a large fly on my mother's food that had been cooked with it. Things like that can happen, of course. What disappointed us, however, was the way we were treated, which was anything but friendly and professional. We showed the fly to the waitress, and she simply expressed her understanding that my mother didn't want to eat any more. There was no apology. Unfortunately, seeing that gigantic fly on the chicken also made me sick, and I couldn't eat my lasagna either. So I asked for it to be wrapped up. My mother explained the reason to the waitress and expressed her disappointment, especially considering that we had been waiting for some time for our food. The waitress became very harsh. She obviously felt personally attacked and became unpleasantly loud with us. She immediately started saying, without any reason, that we would have to pay for the lasagna – but that was never out of the question for us!! Of course we wanted to pay! We would have just appreciated a simple apology from the chef or whoever. After all, it's not every day that you get served chicken with fried houseflies. We're still very surprised and appalled by this disrespectful treatment. In the past, we always enjoyed eating at Vai Vai – but that has unfortunately changed. Let me repeat: The fact that something like this happens isn't dramatic at all; however, the way we were treated is. This just shows that they don't value treating their guests with respect and appreciation. We find this very unfortunate.

We ate on the terrace, where you can only create a limited atmosphere with platters. It's unfair, and that's just complaining at a high level. Service was good and attentive. The main courses arrived after the starters had barely been cleared away; we would have preferred a bit of a break. The Black Angus Tataki starter (€24) was absolutely top-notch. Garganelli Fileto (€29) and Ravioli al Tartufo (€28) were very good. The cocktails were high-priced at €14 and €16, but also very good. We're now a bit sensitive about why San Pelegrino water 0.75l costs €9.80. I agree with the other prices for the quality, but it dampens our otherwise very high level of satisfaction. Hence 5 stars. Maybe not to copy and outdo everyone else?

We were guests at Vai Vai (4 people). Whether it was the appetizers, main course, dessert, or drinks, everything was excellent. Service was competent and courteous. Mr. Ante had everything under control. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Great quality, very convincing, but also very high prices. But it's worth it!

Absurdly bad service. I ordered lasagna via WOLT and received three very different portions: medium, small, and very small. And that was €16 each. My complaint was dismissed, stating that the portions were "normal."

We ordered several portions of lasagna. Not only were they subpar in taste, but the portion sizes also varied massively; the smallest portion was ridiculously small for the price. When we complained, we were told they were normal portion sizes. Nothing else. Very unprofessional. A shame.

We managed to get a table at short notice yesterday with our team, which was a great idea. A very delicious restaurant with different menus for lunch and dinner. From delicious burgers and juicy steaks to a great selection of appetizers and drinks, there's something for everyone. We enjoy lunch here and have even hosted a few larger evening events – always with excellent service!

At €14.50 for a Campari Spritz, I would have expected some quality—even in Frankfurt. Instead, I got a glass that tasted more like water with a dash of Campari. What a shame! We didn't want to stay for dinner after all.

Always a bustling place, which could be more selective in its audience selection. There are already enough average seats. I don't need people in the evening using their arms as placeholders while dancing.

My premiere @VaiVai. The location is really nice and very stylish. Open kitchen. Nice bar. Industry atmosphere. Food: Very tasty. Prices: high to expensive. Especially the starters - in relation to the portion size. All in all, the three of us paid almost 300 euros. But we all know: good taste has always been a little more expensive. It was a very nice evening. I'll be back and can only recommend VaiVai.

The atmosphere is nice and the menu is very good. Food tasted good. Asparagus and risotto were not cooked long enough and were still very hard. Unfortunately, no one asked if it tasted good, so we had no chance of improving it. Service wasn't unfriendly but absolutely unmotivated. Plates were not cleared, despite walking past the table 40 times. For the prices you expect more, such as a “hello”, a “how do you like it” or a “can it be anything else”.

We went to Vaivai in Frankfurt with a group of eight people and had an all-round great evening. The location impresses as soon as you arrive: stylish, lively, but still not too loud - you immediately feel at home. The service was consistently friendly, attentive and always relaxed despite the restaurant being full. What was particularly pleasant was that the employees had a good sense of when we needed support and at the same time never pushed us. From a culinary point of view it was absolutely top. We decided to share and ordered from across the menu - a great decision. The quality of the food was of a high standard, everything was freshly prepared and the taste of every dish was a hit. There were also very generous portions, so that everyone was full and satisfied. Conclusion: If you want to experience a relaxed evening in Frankfurt with excellent food and great service, Vaivai is the perfect place for you. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious food and great service

Had reservation. Were rejected by a strange bouncer… why though?

The food and ambience were good, unfortunately I can't comment on the price since I was invited.

The four of us were there for dinner, I had the garganelli with strips of beef and it was the best pasta I've eaten in my life, my girlfriend had the fillet and tried it too and was thrilled with the quality of the meat; the staff was super nice and quick, we will come again.

I can't judge the food or the ambiance. However, I can judge the service and the staff. The place was empty at 1:00 a.m. on a Friday. I wasn't allowed in to see friends because I was wearing sweatpants. I've been to many places where the door was really strict. But saying something like that to someone wearing white suit trousers is completely inappropriate considering the pants I was wearing. Two minutes later, someone came out wearing purple baggy joggers 😂 simply ridiculous. A woman sitting at the door and pouring herself a few glasses of wine is neither reputable nor representative of the place in my opinion. As an independent restaurateur, I can only say one thing. Of course, the place remains as empty as I found it when I opened the door.

Place to be Whether in the evening or, as in this case, for lunch, excellent cuisine, friendly staff, but to be fair, not cheap. Quality costs money, and we pay with a clear conscience. You get what you expect. We'll be back. One small criticism: Lasagna with ragu - I prefer pieces of meat and not minced meat, otherwise we'd have lasagna Bolognese :)

Eine neue Mitarbeiterin hat ein Glas auf der Bar fallen lassen. Der gesamte Inhalt des Glases, einschließlich Alkohol und Glassplittern, hat mich, insbesondere mein Gesicht, getroffen. Statt den Vorfall ernst zu nehmen und angemessen zu entschuldigen, wurde ich auf eine sehr respektlose Weise behandelt von den Barleiter ( groß -schlank), der die Mitarbeiterin in Schutz nehmen wollte.Das sei menschlich und ich solle es nicht übertreiben. Er hielt eine Lampe direkt auf mein Gesicht und fragte herablassend: "Ja, wo? Zeig mal? Wo??? äußerst unhöflich und völlig unangebracht! Ich verstehe, dass es menschlich ist, dass mal etwas kaputt gehen kann, und hätte auch mit einer kurzen Entschuldigung zufrieden sein können. Allerdings erwarte ich von Ihrem Personal, vorallem von dem Mitarbeiter, der bereits Erfahrung hat, mehr Professionalität und Respekt mit solchen Situationen umzugehen, insbesondere wenn es um die Sicherheit und das Wohlbefinden von Gästen geht.

Mega delicious food! The six of us paid just under €310. The truffle pasta is amazing and the beef fillet tips are excellent - you could tell the quality of the ingredients. Music could have been a little quieter so we could have a better conversation.

VaiVai is really nice, the food is great, that's what you pay for, but hey, you don't treat yourself otherwise, I haven't had such good lasagna in a long time. The atmosphere was great and really nice, we had a really nice evening there. We'd love to go back. From 11 p.m. the tables are pushed aside (on weekends) and a DJ plays music that was really great that evening, which spoiled the atmosphere a bit. From 11 p.m. anyone can smoke there, and as a former smoker that's not so great, and it was also very dark from 11 p.m. onwards, you couldn't really connect with the people in there anymore.

Great atmosphere, great music, cool people, but unfortunately, as a non-smoker, I have to go to the store after 11 p.m. and then eat it speaking. That's why 4 stars, otherwise 5

You can hardly finish the triple burger

Very, very tasty food and absolutely courteous service. Ambiance top. Chic industrial look. I was brought the wrong steak, but that didn't bother me. I was then immediately offered to fry what I had ordered, but I said no. In the end they came to meet me.

This is the second time we've been here. I have to say, they're simply the best steaks I've ever eaten. Location is really nice, but unfortunately a bit noisy. If you are in Frankfurt, you should definitely stop by here. Yes, it's a little more expensive, but it's worth it.

That was disappointing! Imagine going to a flower shop to buy fresh flowers and the beautiful, fresh flowers are either scattered on the floor or stacked chaotically in plastic bins. You are disappointed. When I visit a steak restaurant that calls itself specializing in steaks, the first thing that catches my eye is the knife they bring me, even before I judge the steak itself or its taste and quality. This shows me how serious they are about their specialty. In this restaurant, however, they brought me an impressive knife with a mother-of-pearl handle for the starter (see photo). This raised my expectations at the “highest level”. But when the steak was served, it felt like I was falling headfirst to the ground from those same heights. The quality of the meat was good and the service, despite being lazy when choosing a proper POS device, knew how to choose the right wine to go with the meal. Hoping to see you again.

I am absolutely disappointed with this club. During my visit I was pushed by a drunk man, which was not only unpleasant but dangerous. What was even worse, however, was the reaction – or rather lack of reaction – from the staff. Although they should have noticed the situation, nothing was done to help me or confront the man. A place where you can't feel safe is absolutely unacceptable to me. As a guest, I expect the staff to respond to such incidents and ensure safety. Unfortunately that wasn't the case here. I will definitely not recommend this club and will not visit it again. Safety should be a priority – especially in a place that wants to show people a good time.

We were at Vaivai yesterday. Unfortunately the burger wasn't highly recommended. Unfortunately the meat was completely unseasoned and at this price. But at least there was a cold expresso as compensation. The salads were very good.

We had dinner in this restaurant and were a bit disappointed by the “Fiorentina steak”. The piece they served us had way too much fat (I know some fat is totally normal, I’m talking about above average). Considering the high price, I did not appreciate throwing away a consistent part of it in fat. The rest - wine, appetizers, sides and desserts - were very good. Generally the restaurant is too loud, poorly insulated. We had to scream to talk to each other. The service was very good.

Food, drink and live DJ from 11pm including cigarette smoke. Everything you need over 40 with like-minded people to spend a cozy evening. It ends at 2 o'clock - even on weekends.

You can eat delicious food there and then listen to cool music and dance☺️👌

A visit to VaiVai is always a pleasure. My favorite place to be to eat, drink and celebrate after dinner. I highly recommend it.

Starters were good, rump steak was ordered medium, almost cooked through, so it was pretty dry. The shrimp as a topping for 6 or 7 euros each, were no better and incredibly small and dry. I know surf and turf differently. The garlic fries weren't really exceptional. At the price of a good 70 euros (without starter) for the above, you can eat much better outside of Frankfurt! More style over substance. Certainly exactly right for the target audience.

The food is great (the steaks were all grilled exactly to the desired point, the side dishes were pure culinary delights), the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was modern and inviting. We have absolutely no idea how this gem can only have a 4.2 rating. By the way, there are also offers for children. And our little ones have already “ordered” our next visit because they also enjoyed it so much. By the way, I also recommend not missing the desserts! We would be happy to come back and thank you for a really nice evening.

The food was good as always, although the meal was smaller than the side salad that came with it. When I called to ask whether the size of the dish was really as small as the delivery we received (I've been to VaiVai several times + a friend of mine works there) I had a not-so-nice conversation with someone from the kitchen. That I come from the catering industry myself and can understand that something like this happens or that I don't want a refund but just want to know whether it's really normal. I was then allowed to hear that I can hardly get out of the restaurant if I complain like that - I don't think it's the right way to deal with a complaint. You are welcome to reprimand me and explain what the problem is, but the fact that your voice is then raised towards me is something that I as a customer do not have to put up with. For the word "cheeky" which I used, I was told that normally they would have been happy to refund my money - but with this choice of words I would have wasted it. I've never complained in writing before, but if I have to ask myself whether this employee would have spoken that way to a man - it's over for me. I've always been a big fan of yours and never had any complaints or negative impressions, but being treated like that is really an unpleasant thing.

From the service, which always responds to requests in a friendly and individual manner, to the fantastic food. Whether it's pasta, ribey steak or vegetarian, it not only looks beautiful on the plate, but also tastes fantastic. The quality is very high. There are always individual cocktails at the bar. Totally friendly bartenders. It's always an experience to see local DJs playing and dancing after dinner. 11 out of 10 points!!! Keep it up!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. My friends and I arrived without a reservation, and despite plenty of empty seats, we were told they couldn’t accommodate us. We ended up waiting for an absurd 1 hour and 45 minutes before being seated. To make matters worse, the staff was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. As if that wasn’t enough, they charged us for items we didn’t even order, and to top it all off, they forced us to pay an automatic tip. I will never be returning, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Poor service, poor management, and a frustrating experience overall.

Actually quite a nice restaurant. But you are greeted, seated at a table right next to the kitchen and then told that you now have 2 hours to eat. This creates a real feel-good atmosphere. In addition, you have to have all your clothes washed/cleaned.

The Vaivai is a great place to spend a nice and relaxed evening with friends. The bar is really good and the atmosphere is also very hip. Food is ok and depends a lot on what you order. Service has always been good and caring.

I had dinner there with my best friend. At the beginning we thought we wouldn't find anything suitable for us on the map, but then we decided. If you don't eat everything, you should check the menu beforehand, but the quality was great and we didn't regret it at all. The kitchen is very good, even if your wallet needs to be a little bigger. The atmosphere is very appealing and we really liked the audience, it was a lovely evening

We went there for dinner with two small children and I was absolutely positively surprised at how family and child friendly the staff was. There were painting supplies, children's meals and even a small ice cream at the end - all proactively offered by the service. We felt absolutely welcome. Other (even high-priced) restaurants can learn a lot from this! In addition, there is very, very tasty food and courteous staff. Clear 5 stars!

There are no two opinions about the location. Dim lights, open kitchen, industrial style. Everything is very consistent. The meat dishes with the side dishes and sauces are a highlight. But by no means for the other dishes, some of which are overpriced. Service is very expandable. I suspect they are all students who have no specialist knowledge of service in the catering industry. Rarely available, plates are not cleared away promptly. With a main course costing €42, the service has to be right. When paying with a card, the waiter cheekily asks what he can type anyway?!

Unfortunately a very bad experience. Management unable to find solutions. (Unfortunately) The food was ok, but inedible because the smoke in the room was far too great. The reason given is the open kitchen. Some of us had tears coming from our eyes and one person had to leave the restaurant because their eyes hurt too much. We have tried several times to find a solution or at least for management to show insight. But they stubbornly took the view that everything was right and that was the way it was with an open kitchen. But we know it differently. Due to the very negative experience with the manager and his condescending manner, we sent the health department and the trade inspectorate a letter with 10 signatures so that it could be checked. We don't let the manager tell us that our complaint doesn't matter is legitimate. The authorities can now decide that. That can't be healthy!!!!!!!!!! There is also photo documentation!!!!!!!
