It was really very tasty. Unfortunately I ordered medium well and it was very raw in some places. This has happened several times now

I am extremely satisfied with the restaurant we ate at. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They immediately brought us a high chair for our baby, which made lunch a lot easier. In addition, they also provided art supplies such as pens and paper to keep our child occupied. What particularly impressed me was that they brought water for our dog without hesitation. The food itself was also excellent, with fresh ingredients and perfectly prepared. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely come back.

Unfortunately the grill was broken on August 1st, 2024, but the dishes available were still delicious. The highlight is the combination of 1l fruit juice and 0.7l mineral water for an incredible €10.50.

An excellent steakhouse just next to the skyline Plaza. There are delicious options for meat lovers at various sizes.

Apparently, this is a steakhouse chain in Germany, but I found the food to be quite exceptional. Ordered steak Frites, which were perfect and the steak sauce was very good. The carrot ginger soup was a home run. We did notice a younger employee who looked like she may have been the manager, giving a hard time to one of the servers, which was kind of unfortunate. But overall I’d say the experience was a good one.

The food is not great. I was not asked of how i wanted my beef, it came well done ++ and farily burned. You need to pay much for water in a hot environment. And you cant get free tap water. For contecst i drink very much water and need it. The waiter was nice, but didnt know any english. Which i think is weird for a tourist city and a area with many hotels, probably housing good amounts of tourists. To reflect a little on this, i didnt talk to any other waiters, but this was my expierience with one of them. But i saw that two in my family ordered the same food and the result was the same.

Food was great as always, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for drinks and the bill.

My hotel recommended Block House and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent quality fillet steak and a good-sized portion with jacket potato and garlic butter at a reasonable price. Brushetta needs work, no noticeable balsamic vinegar or garlic, tomatoes everywhere and onions were weak with only 1 small portion. Still very happy with the meal, beer and service. Would go back for sure.

We always like to visit this Block House when we are in Frankfurt. Top food (as usual) and exceptionally friendly employees. A clear recommendation.

The waiter here tried to steal from us by putting in a 16% tip without asking first. I noticed, called him out on it, then tipped 5% anyway, because I figured if this thief is so broke that he needs to steal from unsuspecting customers, he must really need the money. Either that, or else he's laughing about the dumb American to his friends as we speak.

Scam alert. The waiter tried to sneak a €10 tip (16% of the bill) for himself onto the credit card reader hoping I wouldn't notice. Despite the attempt to steal from me, I gave a tip (5%) anyway, because I'm an American conditioned to tip, even for bad service.

The quality of the food was quite good but the price was too expensive. The ambience and service are good.

The people are always super friendly. Quality price performance is difficult for Frankfurt conditions. Ambiance is fine, no overly exclusive frills. We'd love to come back again and again.

An attentive waiter was always at the table and delivered promptly. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Salad approx. grade 3.

Este local foi uma grande surpresa. Haviamos tido uma chegada um pouco dificil a Frankfurt devido á locadora não ter o auto que havia sido programado: mulheres e malas!!!! Enfim a fome era grande e este restaurante foi sensacional por estar proximo ao nosso hotel, calmo, bem decorado e principalmente com uma comida excelente. Desde a sopa da casa, a salada, os pratos de carne (óbvio) embora hajam outras variações proteicas como peixe e frango. O brinde foi as excelentes sobremesas de chocolate e frutas vermelhas com sorvete de baunilha. Cerveja e o vinho do Ródano ajudaram a digestão. Atendimento simpático e comedido, ambiente sem alaridos. Estavamos em quatro adultos e uma adolescente e gastamos em torno de 140 euros.

Service is good, location is good but food not as expected

Superb place to eat, food was amazing, salmon, lemon butter sauce with potatoes and spinach floowed by the apple strudel, service great. Would highly recommend if your in the area

we had reserved a table for 12 people. By chance there were 14 of us in total. Mirela Chef and Bassam were so nice, they made a special room for us so that all 14 people could sit together. As always, the food was very good. Service from Mirela and Bassam were top. Always my pleasure!

Because it is a franchise store, basic food service is guaranteed. It was my first visit to this branch, and it had a family atmosphere. The French onion was too salty, and the onions were not caramelized at all. I asked for hot water and adjusted the seasoning. Well, this is a steakhouse. . . . The steak had a rich grill flavor and was tender, and the salad was also fresh. The draft beer was also delicious. The potatoes with the sour cream that comes with the steak should be really good, but on this day, this spot was a little lacking in flavor. I wish it had baked more and been warmer. . . I put sparkling water in a bottle and added lemon to it. Other branches just give out unopened bottles, but it's also interesting that each branch has a different delivery method.

That was the best place I've eaten in Frankfurt, the staff are so polite, and a plus even at the holiday they were open, the food is SUPERB. The food is not expensive as it might seem, but again, everything here is amazing, definitely worth it.

The meat & service were awesome! But I would have liked a salad bar that I could mix myself. Unfortunately the parking situation is not ideal, but this is due to the central location

Nice and very fast service. They appear to be well known for their steaks, and I now know why. Grilled to perfection, with a pretty big salad included as a starter. The apfelstruder is also recommended!

Useless. We arrived with 9 people, sunshine and good weather. We wanted to sit outside. Almost all tables were free. After sitting a rude employe told us its not possible to sit outside and we need to go inside. Left the venue. Piece of junk, better take the turkish place next to it. Rude and unfriendly boss

Classic log cabin with service and dishes as you would expect from the chain. The food is very decent. Price-performance ratio is just acceptable. We received a very nice table outside without a reservation.

Worst service in my life. We were sitting outside on the terrase and just after we paid it started to rain heavily. We went inside and the waiter asked if we already paid. We said yes. And then the waiter said we should go out if we already paid even it was rained heavily. I should also say that the inside room was empty. So the waiter just kicked us out. A nice steak place with friendly staff. Gets pretty full - we had dinner on a Sunday. They don’t have very large tables together. Our group ended up being split, so that was a bit of a bummer - but in fairness, we had an over 15 people. The steaks were done well and there was a nice variety of them. The food was good overall.

Price orbited for the quality and quantity presented on the plate. I would not recommend it and would not return. A totally standard meal for what was expected. For that price you can eat in many more and better places.

Long waiting time because of the trade fair, which was made pleasant thanks to the attentive staff and beer. Large portions, interesting way of serving, but didn't suit my personal taste.

They know this job very well. The meat is well chosen and cooked properly. Salad buffet sauces are quite sufficient. Dessert options are also successful.

The cost performance is the best in the recent high prices!

Worst blockhouse branch! Requested for a medium well , they give me medium. Some part of the meat cannot be eaten. Service 0/5 . There is some man waiters, very rude. From the beginning of the order, he looks down on us cause we just order 2 steaks, 1 soup and 1 still water for table of 2. What was that? Why? Is that any problem with my order? And whenever i ask for the check, he pushed me to give TIP. I give 2€ tip from 79€ order. He laughed mockingly at us. And shake his head. Why should i give more tip for a rude service? Is tip in frankfurt mandatory?

It has always been our first place on our visits to Frankfurt for years. Everything is perfect. Reservations must be made during busy periods. Otherwise, you may wait in line for hours. Steak varieties are very good. The service is successful. For those who are curious, let me tell you that there are not many types of beer. Thanks for everything.

Yesterday we visited the steakhouse on Europaallee and were really impressed. Everything was perfect there, from the ambience to the excellent food to the very friendly and pleasant waiter (thanks, Joan 😊). Prices are reasonable and not too high considering the quality. Lovely again.

Friendly service, good service and the food is of the usual good Block House standard, as it has been for decades. We were positively surprised by the absolutely affordable lunch menu. Highly recommended. We always enjoy going to a BLOCK HOUSE.

The service today was inattentive and seemingly bored. There was hardly anything going on so there was probably more time to gossip...who knows Special requests were either ignored or not taken into account and everything felt as if they were trying to get rid of the guest. Since it is system catering, nothing can be said about the food.

It was crowded during Sunday lunch time, but the staff was very friendly. The side dishes such as salad and potatoes are also very good. There was also a separate kids menu, so it was great for eating with children. Someone else's review said to add more doneness, so I ordered medium-well done, and I was satisfied because it was the desired doneness.

Rib eye steak tender and delicious

Food ok, tartar mixed exotically with tomato sauce, but it's not on the menu. Every fart (sorry about that) is charged extra. Two mini slices of bread are served with the tartare. Asking for two more is charged at 0.80 euros... Unbelievable

The Blockhaus founder's claim was that you could get good steaks at an affordable price in his restaurants. That is 100 percent the case here.

Everything was perfect. Meats are very good. Prices are good compared to the service.

Too expensive for the quality. I had a cease salad and paid SO MUCH for 5 little slices of extra chicken. I was very disappointed. Have given there several chances and will not be coming back again.

It's full every time I go. Be sure to make a reservation. I wanted medium rare this time, but unfortunately it was a little overcooked.

If you're slightly hungry, the NY Cheeseburger is more than enough. For €18 I get a burger without a top, a few thin fries and a dollop of coleslaw. Tastes very good.

We were at the Blockhaus in Frankfurt on March 13, 2024. The hamburger we ordered was no better than at McDonalds and the fried vegetables were just swimming in fat. To me, charging a price of just under €20 for this meal is an outrage and not recommended.

It’s a lively steakhouse with many people coming after work. It’s a very happy atmosphere. The steak is average. Different types of potatoes appear in every meal in Germany. The onion soup is gratin and the taste is not strong enough.

Went here with a colleague during our business trip to Frankfurt. The atmosphere in the restaurant was super nice and enjoyable and our waiter was funny and kind. The mains were cooked well and tasted good, and our desserts were tasty too Overall, a lovely restaurant, and good value for money.

Angefangen von der Reservierung...auf der Homepage wurde für die von uns gewünschte Zeit ausgewiesen, dass nur noch wenige Plätze verfügbar wären.... Es war eine telefonische Reservierung nötig. Als wir ankamen war das Lokal fast leer. Wir haben bestellt- 2x Rumpsteak medium mit Salat und Kartoffel und Sour cream. 1x Hühnchen gegrillt. Die Rumpsteaks waren entgegen der Bestellung nicht medium, sondern knochentrocken, sehnig und nicht zu genießen. Bei unserer Reklamation hat der Kellner uns erklärt, dass das bei Rumpsteak nun mal so sein kann- hat uns dann 2x Filetsteak angeboten als Tausch, allerdings ohne uns auf den deutlich höheren Preis hinzuweisen. Das Erwachen kam dann mit der Rechnung.... Hier ist noch viel Luft nach oben hinsichtlich Qualität und Service. ( vielleicht mal bei den Kollegen in Berlin Alexanderplatz fragen, wie das perfekt geht...) Bis auf weiteres werde ich Block House in der Europaallee nicht mehr besuchen.

I was told that Blockhouse was THE place for a Great Steak. I set my expectations higher than usual due to the handful of friends and family advising it being so good. I wanted to love it, but... anyways... I ordered a Filet Mignon plate with American Dressing on my Pre-Salad. The salad was simple, with Iceberg Lettuce, Radish, Sunflower Seeds, Onion and I think, small amounts of Fennel. The "American" dressing was a bit sweet and I really liked it seemingly having slight sweet fennel flavor-tones. I think I liked the salad more than the steak, ...sadly. The Filet came, and it looked like it was larger than the advertised 250 grams. It came Medium Rare as requested, BUT, I'm honestly NOT sure if it even WAS a Filet. The grain ran strangely lateral rather than the expected up and down, which lends itself well to tenderness when cutting and chewing. This is why I am not sure it actually was a filet. I wish I'd taken a photo, however the cost, 32 Euros, would have been fair if everything were good to great, but if a restaurant ANYWHERE serves a Fake or Substitute for Filet, it's the last time I will visit, forever. Had a cup of Cappuccino that was nice, and so, the Salad, Baked Potato and Coffee were good, but, SORRY, ...Filets don't cut parallel to the plate and so, I am calling "foul" on The Blockhouse for serving me a substitute Filet Mignon, and so, ...never again a customer. In a final thought, the server could see that I was having trouble getting a knife through my meat, but he never made an effort to ask how the food was. Germany? Is that why?

I ate filet mignon. The meat was very tender and delicious even when eaten on its own. The bread that came with it was also flavored with garlic, and the sweet potato was so fluffy that I ate it up. A must visit for meat lovers.

I had the rib-eye mastercut. High quality piece of meat, the potato tasted great and the chocolate volcano was good. Good en quick service.

The cheeseburger wasn't a burger, but a patty with some cheese on a piece of baguette with a leaf of lettuce. Fries were ok, but for 18 euros I would have expected more. In the restaurant you feel like you are in a cafeteria considering the noise level. Service was attentive and quick.

Hello, we changed countries, we are on vacation, we came to the Frankfurt side after saving and saving. He who converts does not have fun but it is impossible not to convert. My wife ordered potatoes, and I had sautéed vegetables, the place has preparation completely visible, what you order when it arrives to the chef they just cut it and prepare it. The burgers... Being minced meat, one would say there is not much magic, but the truth is that the flavor was excellent, the vegetables were not too soggy or raw, both come accompanied with a piece of French bread or something like that garlic. A one way trip that bread. The truth is very good, just salty. We spent €45 for 2 people and eating very well. And we took Apple Spritsel. Apple juice with sparkling water. The truth is that if it were not high for an Argentinean's pocketbook, I would return several times to try different dishes. View 2.0 We went the next day because the truth is that we liked it a lot, my wife ate a hamburger with baked dad and garlic bread. And I ordered a 180g Sirloin, with fries and garlic bread. Without words, my wife asked for it to come well cooked and it was. And I'm talking about how they eat it here in Germany (it looks raw but it's not raw) and it's butter. The truth is excellent.
