I dined alone, 1 man, in and out about 1 hour. overall food is ok, ordered surf and turf ribeye with 2 sides and dessert+coffee.. i didn't order wine, so I can't rate on it. however after i had my dessert, paid, tipped and lwas about to leave, A lady that did not wait my table, stopped me and insisted on i didn't pay, and she will need to check with his colleague, what kind of thing is this? you have no idea of what happened, and you are calling me dine and dash without serving me, and accusing people that is not in your section. That is just bad training and bad service.

Best steaks in Frankfurt, Germany and everything I've eaten so far. Butterknife is really something special. Desserts and starters significantly weaker than the steaks with the sides as the main course.

It was a real experience with a perfectly cooked porterhouse and mega delicious mac n cheese. Absolute recommendation!

We spent an evening at M-Steakhouse with work colleagues. The steaks were excellent, really the best I've eaten so far, the side dishes were also tasty but the steak really stands out. Of course it is a bit more expensive, but at least you get something for your money here.

Meat we always eat fillet is top, the side dishes are ok (room for improvement) Service is ok so far. Prices are rather high. Atmosphere rather old school.....

The steak was very good, the side dishes were nothing special. The burrata unimaginative. The service is not adequate for a restaurant that considers itself one of the best in Frankfurt. For a good steak there are enough alternatives where the rest is also harmonious.

OMG! Their butter knife steak is insanely good! I ate 2 steak by myself. You should give it a try to believe how soft and buttery it is.

This was once the paramount of steak houses in Frankfurt, along with "Surf'n Turf", which doesn't exist anymore. The steaks are still 5 stars and the staff is friendly. However, the whole place seems worn out and my shrimp cocktail as a starter tasted as if it had been in the fridge for too long. The wine list is really short, no comparison to Morton's in the US. I would still recommend it for the sheer quality of the steaks, though.

Higher priced steak restaurant. The mixed salad with steak strips was absolutely amazing - plus the truffle fries as a side dish... a dream. The service was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Cozy atmosphere, although higher noise levels when fully occupied. Absolutely recommended for both company/project meals and privately!

I've been going to M off and on for about 25 years. Little has changed, there's no Lawyers Cut (500g fillet) anymore, but the steak selection and preparation remains outstanding (as of April 2024): The Butterknife fillet is from The meat is such that a butter knife would be sufficient for cutting. Gaucho and ribeye are also of excellent quality, everything is grilled to perfection (medium) and served on a hot plate. The sides are ok and expensive, the starters are expensive and you can eat them (lobster cocktail - was the sauce homemade?), and the wine (good selection) is as always at the well-known Mook Group price level. Service and ambience are very good. In summary, the M is suitable for those who want to enjoy an excellent steak in one of the best (or even the best?) and most expensive steakhouses in Germany, who don't have to look at the cent and who are prepared not to worry about the prices for wine, sides and... Wanting to annoy starters.

Ob NY, Cape Town, Buenos Aires oder Tokio - nirgendwo war das Steak besser! Wir hatten Rib Eye, NY Strip und das Butterknife Filet - alle drei waren auf den Punkt zubereitet und einfach fantastisch.

If you want to eat good meat, this is the place for you. That wasn't quite the case today. Therefore only 4 stars. The snails, the steak tartare, as well as the side dishes score points, The lobster in the brioche was delicious, but for 29 euros there wasn't enough lobster 🦞 I wouldn't recommend that. A great French wine rounded the whole thing off. The welcome and service were top, We will be back definitely.

The ambience and location are really well done - it has a certain style and charm. The steak was ok to good, the cooking point was just off - but unfortunately that was the end of the positive things. We had two starters and three side dishes to share. Starter 1: Caesar Salad - hardly any dressing and then just poured it on top instead of tossing the salad in it Starter 2: 2 shrimps - actually quite well seasoned, but unfortunately fried to death. The side dish - bread, was really good. Side dishes for the steak: Side dish 1: Spinach - if it wasn't just a warmed frozen cube from Captain Seebär and Co... You could have at least made the effort to season it... CATASTROPHE! Side dish 2: MacnCheese - overcooked pasta and then cheese with a little crunch sprinkled on top... REAL NOW - That's Mac n Cheese - this thing must be schlonzig. What we got was a DISASTER Side dish 3: Mashed potatoes - was acceptable. maybe a little too much glutamate. But there was a real ray of hope that evening! There were also dips, sauces etc... Herb butter - no, not homemade - but a cut-out slice from the big roll from the subway Pepper sauce - which unfortunately was more flour and starch paste than a sauce. The crowning glory, however, was cold curry ketchup... which you can also buy ready-made and which certainly has no place near a steak, which costs from €60 upwards. All in all, all we can say is - sorry, that was just NOTHING! Especially not in the price league! Anyone who calls prices like that should do basics right, or at least much better. You should know what you're doing when choosing dishes and especially when preparing them. By the way, you can also make plates for steak warm, cold plates are somehow semi-cool. And if the staff would still smile and radiate a certain friendliness, that would be a great thing.

The price-performance ratio is not right. Steak is good but way too expensive. If you ask for fried onions instead of fried ones, it is brusquely rejected. The ambience is also really good. I'm definitely not going there anymore.

Not really worth the money. Food is tasty, but overpriced for the quality. The conditions were nice, but quite confusing, the wrong things were regularly delivered, if anything came without constant asking.

Oh well…I have always been sitting outside when I come to this place. And the service has been ok so far. Not great, but acceptable. The prices of course on the higher end, but the food was good and the location convenient if you work or live in the area. What we experienced today was awful, really awfully. Reserved a table for two. Arrived to get us seated by the window where it was very cold at the small table despite the other table by the heating being free (and not reserved). Asked the unfriendly host if we could move tables and we were not allowed to (despite the table being free). After a while some construction workers were seated at the table we had wanted (they did not have a reservation). They complained loudly about the prices and the food and left after 15 mins without ordering…we did not order a bottle of wine but only open wines and were after that not even looked at by the host. We ate (was good meat, but you can expect that for 70 euros per steak can’t you?) we finished our food, water and wine (nobody came asking if we wanted more anything. We had to ask for the dessert. And again for the water. And really just out of spite we ordered a 200 euro champagne bottle to at least enjoy a nice conversation - at least by then the male waiter started to pour the champagne and the water into our glasses. He was ok. But that host has really not a clue of what it means to be a host and should be doing something else…but not working here. Footing a check of over 400 Euros for that service…. Puh. Never again. Avoid by all means.

We turned in for lunch several times. Great place to be, great place to eat. You eat right here. No steakhouse can manage such a great grill, with a classic, modern ambience, slightly trendy, upscale and nice guests. We almost exclusively always have the ribeye steak with mushrooms and spinach. Always my pleasure!!

Nice selection of dishes, but the equipment (porcelain & cutlery) is not adapted to the high prices. The tables are very cramped. The chocolate mousse was not very intense and the consistency was too soft.

Die Qualität des Fleischs sowie dessen Zubereitung ist unbestritten als sehr gut zu bezeichnen. Die Preisgestaltung jedoch ist lächerlich bis frech. Wenn das Geschäftsmodell das Wissen um die Tatsache ist, dass die Mehrzahl der Gäste sich entweder einladen lässt oder auf Spesen unterwegs ist, dann verzichte ich zukünftig auf dieses Restaurant. Ein Steak - ohne Beilagen - mit 70€ zu bepreisen ist schon einen Lacher wert. Das M kenne ich seit nunmehr 20 Jahren, damals nannte man sich noch Mortons, das Preisniveau war immer höher - was völligst in Ordnung ist. Nun allerdings hat man den Bogen überspannt!

Hier bekommt man wirklich ausgesprochen hervorragende Steaks. Perfekte Qualität und auf den Punkt gebraten. Ambiente echt edel-gemütlich. Das passt. Leichte Abzüge gibt es für den Service: Unser 5-Personentisch bekam die Beilagen deutlich nach dem Fleisch. Das müsste bei dem Preisniveau besser funktionieren. Das Die Preise sind insgesamt sehr hoch.

I was having lunch with clients at M Steakhouse. I've known the restaurant for a long time. The ambience hasn't changed for at least 10 years. The restaurant is in the basement. Both the exterior and interior design are provincial. The restaurant is lined with old dusty wine bottles and plastic decorations. The walls and heating pipes are yellowed and urgently need a new coat of paint. The chairs are considered too low, unpadded, uncomfortable and old. The service is impeccable. I didn't feel welcome. The speech is short and not very informative. Explanation Rib Eye: This is the fattiest steak on the menu. The fillet steak was very good. The side dishes and sauces were nothing special. In my opinion, the prices are completely excessive, especially for a 1c location in the basement. Unfortunately I can only advise against it.

From the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was perfect; The wine was also very good. We'll definitely be back soon!

Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service, das Steak war das beste, dass ich seit langem gegessen habe, tolle Weine/Getränke und das Ambiente ist immer noch so gemütlich und stilvoll wie früher. Es war wie immer einfach alles perfekt. Die Herzlichkeit und professionelle Art des gesamten Teams verbunden mit Essen auf allerhöchstem Niveau sind einfach nicht zu toppen. Vielen Dank an Ahmed, Anke und alle anderen, es ist einfach immer ein traumhaftes Erlebnis bei Euch. Wir kommen natürlich wieder!

Sensationell gutes Essen. Sehr gute Weine und Service. Ambiente etwas einfacher als z. B. im Mon Ami, aber auch sehr schön! Auf alle Fälle empfehlenswert! Mal weniger ins McDonads gehen und dafür mal was richtiges essen - diese Investition rentiert sich!!!

We went yesterday for dinner. The food is amazing. The steak was exactly medium well. Definitely would recommend also the lamb chops (very tender and tasty). The food was so good, that I started eating right away (the smell was very inviting) so I only managed to take a picture of the dessert 😅. I read a lot of complaints about the service, that the food take a long time. Well what can I say? Great things take time 😁 I didn’t find that to be an issue. The place si quite crowded though (tables very close to each other) so wouldn’t recommend coming with small kids here.

Etwas versteckt im Westend gelegenes Restaurant. Es ist bekannt für ausgezeichnetes Fleisch und eine grosse Auswahl an Weinen. Zählt definitiv zu den besten Steakrestaurants in Frankfurt. Seit Jahrzehnten auf hohem Niveau . Hervorragender Service und Küche. Romantisches , gemütliches Ambiente.

Früher wohnten wir um die Ecke und waren regelmässig zu Gast. Alleine die kleine Show mit der Präsentation der Cuts und deren Erklärung war schon den Besuch wert. Diese gibt es leider nicht mehr. Aber die Qualität der Steaks und besonders auch der Beilagen waren hervorragend wie immer. Professioneller, freundlicher und unaufgeregter Service.

Der Laden liegt etwas versteckt im Untergeschoss. Hier hat man seine Ruhe. Der Laden ist schick eingerichtet und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Preise sind gehoben, die Speisekarte beinhaltet neben Burgern und sidedishes wie rosemary-fries ein paar surf'n'turf Gerichte und diverse Steaks. Von Ribeye über Filet bis hin zum Waygu Steak kann man hier alles finden. Der Garpunkt war optimal, das Fleisch war unfassbar Zart. Lediglich die Fries waren nicht ganz nach unserem geschmack. Ansonsten ein sehr gelungener Abend

Das erste Mal dort gegessen. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, sodass wir kein Dessert mehr geschafft haben. Die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ambiente sehr schön eingerichtet. Sehr zu empfehlen, einfach nur top.

Nice authentic steaks restaurant Good service The ribeye steak was with too much fat The Pepper sauce wasn’t really good

Wir waren mit 18:30 Uhr recht früh im Restaurant, der Service war sehr aufmerksam, fast schon zu sehr auf Tempo bedacht .... was sich erklärte, als um 20 Uhr der Laden bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt war und Küche und Service kaum noch hinterher kamen. Das Essen war superb, Fleisch perfekt, geschmacklich und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Die Beilagen lecker, wobei bei diesen Preis/Leistung etwas überdehnt wird. Wir hatten einen Saint Emilion von 2016 zum Essen, mit 69€ im Rahmen, überraschend weich und doch kräftig. Extrem gut zu Rind. Für den besonderen Anlass zu empfehlen, wenn es nicht auf 5 € ankommt.

Essen war gut - allerdings spricht die FleischKarte ausschliesslich Männer an. Es gibt nämlich nur 1-2 Gerichte als Ladies Cut (200g), der Rest startet ab 300g, aber eher 400g. Steaks können Frauen hier wegen der Grösse beginnend ab 400g also leider nicht wirklich bestellen. Das Restaurant war Drinnen relativ leer, wir wurden direkt neben die einzigen Gäste gesetzt (war sehr lautstark). Drinnen war das Klima ausserdem leider zu warm. Wir haben 2 x angefragt ob wir uns nach draussen setzen können; leider wurde unser Wunsch abgelehnt. Der Service war ausbaufähig. Beim abräumen hat der Kellner Salz auf dem Tisch verschüttet und ihn mit den Fingern wieder ins Salzgefäss zurückgelegt. Wir können nur hoffen, dass das Salz anschliessend ausgetauscht wird… Preistechnisch lagen wir bei knapp 80€ pP - m.E. deutlich zu hoch. Das Fleisch war gut, aber all in all war das Gesamtpaket seinen Preis einfach nicht wert. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

Still trying to figure out the staff at this restaurant. My wife and I ordered starters of deviled egg’s and steak tar-tar with a salad, and the server demanded we couldn’t share a steak as a entree and that each of us needed to order a steak. The steak we did order was a A-5 for over 100 euro. It was extremely awkward.

The parking is terrible in this location so my recommendation is to take a Uber . Last night was the second time I went , and will probably be the last. The food was good , but the service here is horrible . I’m assuming because mostly foreigners come here they feel like they don’t have to give good service. Once you have your food , you can forget about being asked is everything okay or if you want a drink . If you okay with good food but terrible customer service , you will have no problem with this place . However, if you expecting the prices to match the service you will be disappointed. My thoughts seem to match how others feel after they leave here.

Das M Steakhouse in der Feuerbachstraße kann ich auch weiterhin wärmstens empfehlen. Insbesondere die US Steaks sind von hervorragender Qualität. Der prämierte Service inzwischen legendär. Und die Weinkarte enthält die ein oder andere Überraschung bereit. Weiter so liebes M Steakhouse Team.

Essen war schon besser, lange Wartezeit, der Service eher unter Durchschnitt

Das Steak für 60 Euro war zäh. Auf der Rechnung fand sich eine Flasche Champagner die wir nie getrunken haben. Service nicht besonders freundlich. Lediglich Stammgäste wurde freundlich begrüßt. Der Rest war ok!

I did not have any experience with the service or order anything since I had a time limit, but I would say the surroundings and its detailed interior decorations is really really great. Vi har spist på denne restaurant flere gange gennem årene. Har altid været tilfreds med mad og kvalitet. Sidst spiste vi i forbindelse med Ambiente 2023. 6 personer og en regning på €694,80. Restauranten har et meget mærkeligt system med "tips not included" på regningen. Dette til trods af tårnhøje priser. Vi blev nærmest SMIDT ud af restauranten da betjeningen ikke accepterede niveauet på vores drikkepenge. Vi bruger aldrig €694,80 på dette sted igen. Skandaløs og uforskammet opførsel!

Das Essen ist hervorragend, der Service ebenfalls. Allerdings ist die Luft im Restaurant katastrophal, eine Lüftungsanlage scheint vorhanden zu sein, funktioniert jedoch nicht. Schade………

Wir waren zu 4. im M 3x Aperitif, kleine Vorspeise, 3 Steaks und ein salat plus ein wenig Getränke = 400€. Ja, das Fleisch ist gut. 300g argentinisches Filet ohne Beilagen für 50€ aber definitiv viel zu teuer. Auch die Beilagen und Getränke: zu teuer. Beispiel? Beilagensalat 8,90, Pommes 6,90, Gemüse 8,90, Bier 0,3 4,90, Aperol 12, Glas Wein 12, Flasche Wasser 8,90. Sogar die Majo wurde mit 2€ berechnet. Nochmals: das Fleisch war perfekt und alles lecker. Die Preise sind aber jenseits von gut und böse. Anders als bei anderen Bewertungen gab es an der Bedienung nichts auszusetzen. Sie war schnell und professionell.

Anfang Juni habe ich DER Lokation im Westend einen Besuch abgestattet. Das Steak (Hausspezialität) hat hervorragend gemundet. Der Service ist jedoch optimierbar. Trotzdem kann ich das M Steakhouse allen Fleischliebhabern wärmstens empfehlen!

Went to the M Steakhouse with my wife for a belated Valentine’s dinner. We each had a starter, a steak and a portion of fried vegetables and we shared truffled fries. Drinks: sparkling water, two Aperol Spritz and one Cuba Libre. Paid 200 EUR in the end which would have been acceptable, if it wasn’t for one thing: as we had lots of leftovers of the fried vegetables (one portion was hardly touched) and some pieces of steak, we asked for it to be packed, so we could take it home. The waitress told us that she could only pack the steak and that she wasn’t allowed to pack side dishes according to the restaurant’s policy. As we questioned the rule and couldn’t get an explanation from the waitress, we asked to talk to the manager. The manager came and told us the same thing, that the restaurant policy was not to allow side dishes to be packed. My wife mentioned that she had been to the restaurant several times in the past and it had never been a problem to take leftovers home (not only meat). We also asked what would be done with the leftovers and he stated that they would be thrown away. The manager gave no reason for this wasteful policy nor is this policy enacted in other Mook Group restaurants. What made the situation worse was we were civil in explaining the contradiction of allowing a steak (even a rare steak which my wife ordered) to be taken home but not cooked vegetables, and the manager became extremely rude, telling us „it’s enough now, we don’t do it, we will throw them away!“. Regardless of what nonsensical policies a restaurant has, it is imperative that people in customer facing jobs (especially as a manager) remember to treat their guests with respect and not as though they are doing the customer a favour. We won’t be spending any more money on this restaurant if they promote unnecessary waste and rudeness.

This is the other restaurant from the Mook Group...since “Surf&Turf” closed and is now a fish restaurant named “Krazy Kraken”, this place offers the same menu “S&T” used to have (it always has, I’ve been told). Nice atmosphere and you can sit outside in a cozy “Souterrain” terrace. Meat was really good and the truffle fries with Parmesan excellent. The strawberry with icecream were perfect at the end. Why only 4 out of 5 points? Server attitude (not so attentive) and prices (rather on the higher end)...

We went to the M Steakhouse to have a really nice steak, but unfortunately only the starters were really nice. The steaks were cooked to perfection, but we felt that the meat quality was not on par with the price unfortunately. The deserts were presented in an old fashion way and not worthy of a restaurant with such an aspiration. The wine selection was quite good and we did enjoy our wine. Service was not very attentive and when pouring the wine slammed the bottle on top of each wine glass like a butcher. Also, I just remembered, when entering the M Steakhouse, it was quite smelly outside... Overall an OK evening, but the value and experience for the money was not quite there.

I got a recommendation for this restaurant from some friends who spent a lot of time in Frankfurt. It was praised as one of the best steakhouses. The restaurant did not deliver in my opinion. I had the butterknive their house speciality and a side of ruffled mash. The steak was so so, the mash quite a disaster as you did not really taste the truffles. On top I paid ~120 EUR for one person with half a bottle of medium priced wine. Way too expensive. Service was disappointing as well

A perfect steak, the place to go in Frankfurt I M Steakhouse. Go 2 persons at a minimum as the side orders are big enough to share. Good wine selection and excellent service, prices slightly high but quality is also in top. Great food and I will be back

We attended here as a group of 18 for Christmas party. When booking on the phone I made sure to check that despite our large group that we would get tables beside each other, I was assured that our group would be placed on two large round tables next to one another. When we arrived at the restaurant the tables were not next to each other and one part of our group was placed on one large long table, with only 6 people being excluded on a separate table. My boss noticed that a couple were on a table that would was quite wide and would fit on the end of our larger table and approached the manager offering to pay for the meal of the couple if we could ask would they move to a different table - the manager simply said no. My boss was completely unimpressed at the shocking customer service. The food was nice, and the waiter who served us was sweet but we most certainly will not not returning for any future company events.

Good food, terrible service! Wanted to increase our reservation with 1 person up front. Tried calling and reaching them the whole day through the website, but they didn’t respond. Thought that adding one more person to a rather big table wouldn’t cause any issues, but when we got there the manager quite bluntly answered “no” and even got angry with us for asking. He didn’t suggest any solutions for us, so we ended up splitting the table (on our own initiative) - 2 persons in one corner of the restaurant and on the other side - 4 persons. And then we we’re left waiting - no menu, no water, nothing.. this continued throughout the dinner. .. Really terrible service. Will not return.

Went here with some guests to have a nice Steak in Frankfurt. Restaurant itself is nice and good equipped but temperature is to high and very noisy. Steaks are nice but if you compare price you pay there are better alternatives in this area if you compare location, quality and price. Staff BTW is good and very service oriented.

As an American businessman, I was not that impressed with the M Steakhouse. The evening before I dined at Surf n Turf and both restaurants have IDENTICAL menus so they must be associated with the same owner. Both restaurants are about the same in quality. My biggest issue with the M Steakhouse is that my medium steak was very rare. To their credit, they offered to make another one but I wasn't interested. I also had the fried onions which I found lacking in flavor and tough. Like the Surf N Turf, the best part of the meal was the strawberry and ice cream dessert. For the money, I would suggest another restaurant.

I had dinner few times in this place, mainly for business reasons. It is a hidden restaurant located at basement/ground floor (covered by trees and accessible via stairs) within a residential and very quiet context. Courtyard is covered by bottles and candles making atmosphere really...

What can I say beyond delicious , just under 400grms , no bone I can’t even remember the cut it blurs into sublime . A simple tomato and caprese to begin, a steak complimented with truffle Parmesan fries and a cool cucumber salad to constantly...

This must be the best steak place I’ve been too worldwide and believe me I’ve been to a lot not yet the ones it Japan thou prices are a bit on the expensive side people might say but I think it’s totally worth it must...
