Delicious food…great people…totally recommended!! There is something for everyone on the menu.

I can only agree with the positive reviews. The service is very nice and courteous and the food is 100% worth the money. I haven't eaten such a delicious grilled dish in a long time. I can only recommend it and would be happy to come back again.

It's not enough to say TOP!!!! We were there for the first time, we were delighted and we will definitely come back again... I don't know if I was more impressed by the delicious food or the wonderful, friendly staff 🙂. They deserve more than 5 🌟✨⭐🌟🙂 and it would be really rude to say the same less...From the company and myself, all the praise as far as our experience is concerned

The best steaks served on a hot cast iron platter I've had in a long time. The other dishes also look very tasty. I will definitely try the menu and start with the spare ribs tomorrow. A great team completes the overall picture and see you very soon.

Ate very tasty - pepper skewers and spare ribs are highly recommended. Service was very nice - it was a bit busy and it took a little bit here and there. Apart from that: absolutely recommended.

Wow wow wow! When you look at this restaurant from the outside, you don't expect the delicious and varied cuisine that is offered here. There were two of us here, we had the appetizer platter for two people (which was absolutely amazing) and then a seafood platter for two people. I have rarely eaten such delicious food in Frankfurt. Steakhouse really doesn't do the restaurant justice. If you want good Mediterranean cuisine, you're in great hands here. In addition, the service is excellent and really friendly!

Food was bad, but the conditions were nice, there were four of us eating there, And got a bad steak.

Terrific ! We were served quickly and very friendly. The food and drinks really tasted good and we were full. Recommendation: Homemade garlic bread as a starter. The only point of criticism would be that all side dishes cost extra with the steak, including sauces, fries, etc. But that doesn't detract from the 5-star overall impression.

That was a pleasant surprise. We spontaneously went there for dinner. Super nice reception, called shortly beforehand and reserved a table just to be on the safe side. Very nice staff and a nice owner. Then the big surprise... starter platter for 2 is enough for 4. Then the main course... perfect steak in a hot pan!!! All in all it was a great evening. Thanks for that.

Because of the good reviews, we took a detour to eat a steak here. The very friendly waitress brought us to the table and our order was taken quickly and professionally. First came our salad, which was very unimaginative and basic. Then came our steaks and my pepper sauce - if you can call it that. It was completely spice and tasteless brown goo with peppercorns. My fries were forgotten, but arrived very quickly - and of course raw. My steak was completely streaked with tendon, tasteless and 50% inedible. Normally I rarely give bad reviews, but it was so bad for the price/performance ratio that I have to mention it too.

We found this great, cozy restaurant just a couple blocks from our hotel, and really enjoyed it. Most tables were full, but the staff found a small table for us tucked in a corner near a large group celebrating a birthday, which we really appreciated. I had a steak and baked potato, and my husband had chicken medallions with rice and fries. Both were excellent. My steak was a bit rare for me, but the flavor was great. My husband really enjoyed the draft beer, as well, and I had a nice red wine.

I had a wonderful experience in El Nigo last Saturday. Super friendly staff and delicious food, from starters to main courses, especially beefsteak and the homemade sauce with rolls. I would definitely like to come back.

Today we ordered boiled beef with horseradish sauce according to the menu, and what was delivered was completely ready-made, cheap meat, definitely not boiled beef drowned in olive oil!!!!! with horseradish on top and grilled vegetables with exactly 4 quarter pieces of potato from the pan, also soaked in olive oil. When we complained that there was no horseradish sauce, the sauce was brought, we then asked that the olive oil be poured out (because horseradish sauce in a lot of olive oil is just yuck) we got an answer from the waitress (who had already done so We were apparently overwhelmed by the intake of water and a beer (had to ask 3 times what they wanted) so we should look for another restaurant, which we gratefully accepted. If you want to cook German and can't do it, you should leave it alone or write what you serve on the menu. 👎

Just perfect! Super attentive and friendly service. Pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Constantly surrounded by the most delicious smells that whet your appetite for food. And as you can see, it is absolutely not an understatement! The most tender steak and asparagus that simply tastes nutty. The bacon-wrapped dates could have been used as a dessert instead of an appetizer, they were so sweet and tasty.

Everything is just PERFECT here!!! 😊

Went to the steakhouse for the second time. The food is super tasty, the meat is simply well prepared. The service is super nice and sweet, unfortunately you don't see that often these days. I was staying nearby and found this restaurant on google. Super pleasant atmosphere, the staff is very friendly. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy and tasty. Potatoes and sopska salad as side also excellent. With a glass of beer, a perfect dinner for not a high price. Absolute recommendations to visit them.

Absolute recommendation! Starting with the very friendly service, through the delicious, homemade (!) bread with spicy herb chutney to the juicy, hearty meat with crunchy, perfectly cooked vegetables - everything is great! We weren't here for the last time.

Simple but cozy furnishings. Incredibly friendly waitress and waiter. The grill plate was amazing! Juicy, well-seasoned and perfectly grilled meat, delicious fries and crunchy vegetables. Plus the house-made bread with a tasty barbecue sauce. All in all - a discovery! We will be back!

Absolute Empfehlung! Angefangen beim sehr freundlichen Service, über das leckere, selbstgemachte (!) Brot mit pikantem Kräuterdip bis hin zum saftigen, herzhaften Fleisch mit knackigem, auf den Punkt gegarten Gemüse - alles klasse! Hier waren wir nicht zum letzten Mal.

Affordable and great atmosphere

We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday at El Nigo on March 8th. I was there for the first time since it reopened and was completely amazed. Inside is a little more modern than before, the sideboards are from the 80s, ultra-modern on the wooden boards. As with its predecessor, the meat quality is great, the pork skewers were juicy and the lamb and beef were cooked perfectly. We also had the large appetizer platter, which really offered a large selection of delicacies. The parfait at the end was the crowning glory. The entire service is also excellent, you can always come to our table: is everything OK, does it taste good, do you need something very, very beneficial.

Everything was really delicious and the service was extremely friendly. We'd love to come back.

A nice little restaurant. The food was good. A very nice steak, with the cooking point requested by the waiter. The meat was nice and tender. The Jägerschnitzel was also good and so were the fried potatoes. The extra sauce would preserve the crispiness of the breading.

Four of us were at El Nico 5 days ago, the service is very good, the staff was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, this evening and the food served don't leave me alone. Plescavica, minced steak filled with sheep's cheese was very, very salty, the minced meat was pressed, the best was the melted sheep's cheese and the fried potato! Conclusion: completely overpriced without salad, way too salty (so you get really thirsty) I'm sorry I didn't say anything directly, so I'll vent myself here. Unfortunately, El Nico is no longer recommended!!!@

Wir waren heute mal wieder seit langem im El Nigo. Das letzte Mal noch unter den ehemaligen Inhabern o. Pächtern. Der Innenbereich hat sich nicht verändert, aber der Außenbereich ist sehr schön geworden. Nun zum wesentlichen. Das Essen war einfach spitze. Wir hatten Rumpsteak mit einem Beilagensalat. Das Steak wurde gebraten wie gewünscht und es war sau lecker. Auch der Salat war klasse. Ganz lecker auch die Vorspeise. Preislich hohes Niveau, aber dass ist es uns bei der Qualität auch wert. Auch die Bedienung ist eine ganz liebe und flotte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. 😀 Nachtrag....auch heute wieder im El Nigo gewesen, da wir in der Nähe wohnen ist es für uns die perfekte Lage. Und auch heute war das Essen nicht zu übertreffen...ich hatte ein Rumpsteak mit 300 g mediumwell, Pommes und Beilagensalat....eine riesige Portion und geschmacklich nicht zu übertreffen. Auch der Service ist phantastisch. Wir kommen wieder. Bis bald

Das El Nigo kenne ich nun seit über 30 Jahren Die Qualität ist wie immer sehr. Abgesehen von guten und leckeren Steaks gekommen man dort auch die "kroatische" Küche serviert. Die Preise sind moderat und günstig im Vergleich zu den bekannte Steakhauseketten. Das Ambiente hat sich in 35 nicht oder nur kaum verändert Oldschool nennt man das wohl. Es hat den unverkennbaren Charme der 80er Jahre. Die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommen und freundlich, und dies war jetzt schon unser zweiter Besuch. Ein dritter Besuch wird bald folgen, vielleicht in der Zeit wenn es draußen wieder warm ist und man den Außenbereich mitbenutzen kann. Am besten hingehen und sich selber überzeugen Klare Empfehlung

Wir waren an Silvester dort bis ca. 20:30 Uhr. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Dame des Hauses strahlt eine willkommene Wärme aus. Wir würden gerne häufiger mal vorbeischauen, wohnen jedoch nicht in Frankfurt. 😌

☝️Es hat sich was getan im El Nigo am Zoo ! ☝️ Still und leise haben da die Besitzer gewechselt und ich muss sagen: TOP UPDATE!! 🚀🍀🌺 Ein junges Team hat frischen Wind hinein gebracht in das urige Steakhaus, was direkt auffällt, weniger vom Interieur, als von der sich ziemlich gesteigerten (!), leckeren Küche, die ganz vom neuen Chef und seinen neuen Ideen inspiriert ist und das schmeckt und sieht man! Keine lieblosen 80er Jahre Teller mehr (auch wenn es immer lecker war, ist man doch mittlerweile etwas verwöhnt...) Zuerst gönnte ich mir einen heißen und frischen Ingwer/Minze Tee, wg dem nasskalten Temperaturen. Ich hatte nach langer Zeit, mal wieder Lust, auf ein *unaufgeregtes* Stück Fleisch ( ...ohne nervigen Service mit Effekt-Nebelschwaden und Geschwafel über den Stammbaum meines Rinds usw ) - einfach pur..! Das Brot, welches vor meinem Essen kam, war selbstgemacht (täglich!) und kam mit einem ebenso frisch gemachten pikanten Chutney an - ich musste mich doch sehr zusammen reißen, nicht alles leer zu futtern, es schmeckte soo grandios...! Ich hatte ein Filet am Spieß, Medium, bestellt und es kam auf dem Punkt genau. Da ich keine Pommes wollte, zauberte mir der Chef, einen leckeren Spinat als Beilage mit hauchdünnen Scheibchen Kartoffeln. Die charmante Schwester des Chefs, schmeißt den meist gut gefüllten Laden, wie eine 1, Ist höflich, flink und hat alles im Blick. Eine sehr angenehme und respektvolle Person 👌 Und nach meinem kleinen Espresso (von Gorilla), konnte ich zum ersten Mal, ENDLICH mit Karte zahlen, was viele Gäste freuen wird und bei den Vorgängern nie möglich war ! 📣Und..... weil es ein Vorschreiberling bereits erwähnte, habe ich extra gefragt: Mittlerweile wird man nicht mehr verscheucht, wenn man "nur" etwas trinken mag 🥂 ♥️ Glasklare Empfehlung ! ♥️

Wir waren gestern mit einer größeren Gruppe dort, ich war die einzige Vegetarierin und bin dennoch begeistert. Da es ganz klar als Steakhaus deklariert ist, erwarte ich nicht das es eine Große Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen gibt. Ich habe mich durchs Vorspeisenangebot gefuttert und war mehr als satt und zufrieden. Der kroatische Wein ist sehr lecker und absolut zu empfehlen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr flott, aufmerksam und überaus freundlich. Für Veganer ist in der Karte nichts klar deklariert, aber es ist möglich auch dann durch weglassen bzw. ersetzen satt zuwerden.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung hier essen und haben einen Großteil der Speisekarte bestellt - alles war einfach super lecker. Hier kommen wir definitiv wieder zum Essen (und Trinken) vorbei 🥰

Wir waren auf Empfehlung beim El Nigo zum Mittagessen und ich war überrascht das es in einer Seitenstraße außerhalb des Stadtkerns so ein gutes Restaurant gibt. Wir hatten eine gemischte Meeresfrüchte Vorspeiseplatte und als Hauptgericht ein Filet Steak. Die Vorspeise war sehr gut zusammengestellt und geschmacklich ausgezeichnet. Das Filet Steak war Perfekt , medium und ließ sich wie Butter schneiden. Bratkartoffeln, Champignons und Salat rundeten das ganze Perfekt ab. El Nigo ist ein Beweis dafür das es es in Frankfurt sehr gute Steakhäuser gibt. Preis / Qualität sehr gut. Sehr nettes Servicepersonal. Klare Empfehlung von mir.

We went here after not being able to get a table at the Steak Bros restaurant and I am glad we did. I have eaten in a few steak restaurants around Europe and I thought the fillet steak here was excellent. Served on a hot plate, I could not fault it. The restaurant is run by a Croatian chef now, who took the place over earlier in 2023. The staff speak excellent English. I will definitely be back when in Frankfurt again.
