The food was a good portion. My only criticism is that there were two menus at the entrance, but when we sat down, we were only given one. The waiter who took our order also seemed out of sorts, but the one who served us was friendly. 😀

I'm celiac, so since there are no certified gluten-free restaurants in Cologne, I looked for a place with an allergen list. I ordered a chicken skewer and a jacket potato, because the list indicated they were gluten-free. However, as soon as I got back to the hotel, I felt terrible. The prices were a bit high (almost €8 for a water 😅) So I wouldn't recommend it for celiacs, as there may have been some contamination!

The three of us dined for my husband's birthday. My son's steak was overcooked, so we sent it back. As a chef in a steakhouse, Jen should be able to cook a piece of meat medium, right? We did get another one 15 minutes later, but by then we'd already finished our food. At the end, we were offered a drink as compensation. We did that right away, but now we wanted to pay. You could have taken drinks off the bill. Way too expensive for what you get. We paid 185 euros for three people. It was a real shame, and it put a dampener on our birthday. The food tasted bland, and the meat was dry. The waitress was very friendly, though.

I was at this restaurant today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The portions were far too small for the high price. The fries, in particular, were extremely salty and therefore barely edible. The value for money here is absolutely not there. It's a shame, I expected much more.

As an avid steak lover, I have to give the Black Angus Steakhouse in Cologne my full praise. The quality of the meat is simply phenomenal – tender, juicy, and perfectly prepared. You immediately notice that only the finest Black Angus beef is served here. The service is attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The young waitress was really friendly and very accommodating! High praise... The overweight boss sat down at the table next to us and smelled very unpleasant, while he played on his phone... The food wasn't good. The fries, schnitzel, and steak were cold when they arrived. The steak was ordered medium-rare and arrived well-done. A burger that was ordered was warm and quite okay. A little burnt in some places! After the schnitzel and steak were returned, we had the whole thing again. This time everything was almost piping hot. And tasted okay. The place was dirty, and the tables were sticky. We're very surprised by the 4.8 stars 😅

Understatement - food super delicious!

The food was okay overall, although we had a cheese platter and a steak platter for two people. The portions were quite modest for the price; the steak platter, in particular, was extremely small for almost €70, with very little meat. It tasted okay, but we won't be going back.

The quality isn't what you'd expect for the prices on the menu. Otherwise, it's friendly.

It's been a while since I've had meat like this. It's perhaps a little more expensive than other establishments, but the difference is horrendous. You pay for quality.

My partner and I were really looking forward to our anniversary dinner, but unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The quality of the food was completely out of proportion to the price. We paid a total of €152, for which you should at least expect a decent price. My friend's steak cost €67, but it was inedible; it was completely tough, unevenly cooked, and unappealing both visually and tastefully. I myself had a 200g beef fillet for €47.90, which tasted like rubber, completely overcooked, and lacked any tenderness. The sweet potato fries for €17.90 were mushy, unseasoned, and just a total disappointment. What was absolutely unacceptable, however, was a mouse running around under our table. That's an absolute no-go, especially in a restaurant that's in the higher price segment. I absolutely can't understand the many good reviews on TikTok and Google; it simply didn't taste good and it wasn't worth it in any way. This experience was completely out of keeping with the occasion. We are disappointed, especially given the high bill, the subpar food, and the lack of hygiene. This simply shouldn't happen, and we definitely won't be coming back.

I ordered the Mixed Meat Platter for 3 from Black Angus XL, and it was an absolute treat! The meats were perfectly grilled—tender, flavorful, and full of that rich, smoky aroma. There was a great variety, and each type had its own delicious seasoning that made every bite exciting. The portion was more than enough for three, with generous sides that completed the meal wonderfully. Everything arrived hot and fresh, and the presentation was spot on. This is a must-try for anyone who enjoys quality grilled meat. We’ll definitely be ordering again—great value and excellent taste all around!

Anyone who says it's overpriced should maybe consider going to McDonald's or making a pack of Yumyum at home. The price is a perfect match for the quality, and the service is top-notch. Everything is absolutely delicious. I ordered medium but unfortunately received well-done and complained, but without hesitation, they brought me a perfect new steak, and they did it with absolute courtesy. I'll definitely be back. Good sirloin and ribeye steaks! The burger meat was very good. The recommended home made Tiramisu was excellent. Overall a good experience and will come again to try other meat cuts!

The service and food were good, nothing to complain about. But I personally think €46 for a 250-gram rump steak with rosemary potatoes and herb butter is a bit excessive, but that's in the eye of the beholder.

The prices are too high for the poor quality of the meat and portions. Very disappointing

We were very excited to come here as it looked very good. I had the Cesar salad and the other guest had the Cheeseburger. The Cesar was chopped lettuce with mayo as dressing topped with small shavings of Parmesan, croutons, and cherry tomatoes. This was not at all what I was expecting. I tried a bite of the burger and it was small on a very large bun and overdone. Had this restaurant been a lower prices one I wouldn’t have been quite as let down but I was expecting more for a total bill of 43 Euros which included 2 small draft beers. There is so many places with better quality food at a lower price point that I would recommend to save the money on this place.

Don’t eat here. VERY overpriced for the crap quality of food that kitchen is pushing out. 20 euro for a burger that McDonald’s makes better! It’s a poor tourist trap that is surrounded by way better food for the price. Rip off

We saw the reviews and went there. The menu seemed to have a very good selection (not too much, not too little). The prices speak for themselves. First, the food arrived quite quickly. The staff was friendly, but also curt. My boyfriend ordered garlic bread as a starter. It tasted very good. Then came the main courses: spare ribs with fries and a dish of pasta Milano (Gorgonzola sauce, spinach, and diced salmon). The spare ribs were okay, the fries a bit unsalted, the pasta sauce was more of a cream sauce, the fish was dry, and it was also missing a bit of salt. It wouldn't have been a problem, though, because the waiter brought salt and pepper shakers. However, both were empty. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse with fresh fruit – and what a treat it was: a freshly made mousse that really needed to be refrigerated for a few hours to firm up a bit. What was completely missing was the fruit. What a shame. Wouldn't eat there again.

I recently visited this restaurant and was absolutely thrilled! The pork spare ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful—cooked to perfection. My daughter accompanied them with a delicious schnitzel that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The steak was also a real highlight: cooked to perfection and, with the creamy mushroom sauce, a real treat! The cocktails were also excellent—freshly mixed and very flavorful. Warning! A chaotically run tourist trap! I strongly advise against expecting a pleasant evening in this restaurant. A reservation is worth NOTHING here. When we arrived, more than 30 people, all of whom had made reservations, were waiting in the cold in front of a plastic curtain for a seat in the completely overcrowded restaurant – some of them for 45 minutes. With reservations. The "doorman" had no clue, knew NOTHING, and just shrugged his shoulders. No responsibility, a completely overwhelmed team. The boss? "Not here." The shift manager? "We don't have any." A pitiful scene. Zero interest in satisfied customers because the completely overbooked place is full. Guests who came outside said: "It's not worth it." We then went somewhere very nice to eat.

I celebrated my birthday here and had an amazing time! The world needs more people like Ali. We called ahead to find out if they accept pets, and from the moment we called to the moment we paid, Ali was an incredible bartender and waiter! At the end, he surprised us with a small birthday gesture. We're so happy we visited! Thank you Ali and thank you to the chef. The food was excellent!

I didn't really understand the good reviews from others. The burgers were okay, but quite expensive. Staff also not really friendly. I wouldn't go here again.

I should admit, at first I was disappointed when they brought me salad with sweet mayo, but they made another one immediately and the lamb ribs were soooo good and juicy.

Service and atmosphere are good, but the steak was not cooked evenly and the meat quality was not as good as I expected. I had tenderloin, but the sirloin ordered at another table looked much better. The chicken skewers were also good.

Never had such disappointment! We went to this restaurant after we looked at Google map and we find it with more then 3000 comments and with 4.7 stars. The restaurant is so crowded and so noisy, the food is below the minimum level and the prices are high.

The pasta dishes were poorly presented, especially considering the €22 price tag. The burger patty felt like a ready-made product. While the cocktail was excellent, we felt the care and attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes was lacking overall.

Ordered from Wolt yesterday because the schnitzel in the photos looks as if it were made from a pan and clarified butter. Turns out, no unfortunately not for us. We had an unsightly Fritösenschnitzel. There's no need to talk about the rest. Simply sad and (dis)appointing.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The salmon was very dry, the sauce was lumpy and the vegetables had clear signs of freezer burn. Given the high prices, I would have expected much better quality. It's a shame, unfortunately it wasn't a good experience.

Considering that the shop is located in an absolute “tourist zone”, I was very positively surprised by the quality of the food. Not only was the steak itself top-notch, but also the side dishes were on a level that you can't even find in the most expensive stores. Really cleverly prepared mushrooms and tasty spinach. The service staff are super friendly, although if the shop is full it can sometimes take a while or there can be misunderstandings (ordering mushrooms and getting a “Pils”).

The quality of the food is unquestionable, the service is also excellent, I didn't give the fifth star because if you order a large meat dish, shared between several people, systems should be adopted to keep the dish warm which would otherwise get cold immediately.

The place is decent looking and mostly clean. But the food is less than average, and too expensive for what you're getting in return. The waiter was nice even though he messed up a 4 items' order. I don't recommend the place.

I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a special. Fries were quite good (but unfortunately unsalted), but the burger wasn't. When I ordered a cheeseburger with fries (without drink) for 20 EUR, I don't expect raw, dry bread. Wonder what's so hard about frying the bread a little where you prepared the meat. Just took it out of the package and slapped it on... Not good. The meat, however, was very good. Waitress was nice, ambience, rather well.

I have no idea how 4.8 stars come about, they must be bought reviews. There were three of us there yesterday and the food and service were subpar. Steak arrived cold after waiting for over an hour, very little side dish and both herb butter and BBQ sauce were charged at an extremely cheeky surcharge. You really prefer to go to Abaccos and have good service + great food

Addendum: Rating reduced from three to one star because my review was taken offline by Google. Afterward, I had to prove that I had been to the restaurant. I was accused of defamation. I still found the payment, so my review should be back online now. No wonder the steakhouse has almost exclusively positive reviews. Apparently, anything below four stars on Google is sued by a lawyer. You should definitely avoid this restaurant. Original review: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food, however, was okay and rather expensive for the price. The same goes for the side dishes, which are sometimes included at other restaurants. For the same price, there are more upscale steakhouses with a nicer atmosphere in Cologne.

All in all it wasn't bad. Unfortunately the pepper sauce from my lamb tasted a bit rancid. What was worse, however, was that the portions were too small in relation to the price. The price was okay, but I wanted to be full. A baked potato with the lamb was a bit small. The staff were very friendly!

Ordered tomahawk, request medium doneness, but came in medium rare and it got COLD so quickly (within few minutes). We were eating COLD steak!! Disappointed!! Chicken salad, the chicken was tender, but the dressing seems not that match with the salad. Side dish- fries was good. The waiter asked us how was everything. I told him about the tomahawk, he just kept quiet…. didn’t say anything….. no action at all. Very disappointed!! Not recommended

The place was busy, but I had to ask 4 different staff members if I could order food 30 minutes after sitting. It was a bit chaotic. We had drinks ordered with one staff member but had to wait for a different staff member to order the food. The food itself was delicious.

Great service, quick, attentive and friendly - Starter for the money (garlic bread 2 pieces) much too expensive, goulash soup finished lukewarm and even more expensive, - Meat in the burger is lower middle class, the sauces are too small, absolutely no price-performance ratio here either and the fries don't deserve the name, dark unseasoned dry strips from the potato, nothing more.
