First of all, everyone feels it differently! On October 18th, 2024, the two of us had a lovely evening and went to “La Casona” for the first time. We got a parking space directly opposite, and it was probably a bit of luck. The restaurant makes a clean impression and we found the ambience to be harmonious. The service was friendly and quite attentive too. The food was good, although I would like to emphasize the quality of the meat. Both my wife's skirt steak and my rump steak tasted great, cooked to perfection and tender, very tasty. The puristic style of presentation didn't bother us visually either. Clearly, the meat is in the foreground. The only downside is the pricing of the side dishes, for fried onions and fries, around 10 euros, is out of proportion for us. But it was a nice evening, and thanks for the grappa.

We have eaten at La Casona several times now and have never been disappointed. The food is always a dream, the service is extremely friendly and personable. You can really tell how much people enjoy being there because most of them sit there for a really long time and enjoy the whole atmosphere. For this we are happy to take the route from Meerbusch to Cologne. If it were up to us, the restaurant would have earned more than 5 stars.

Very solid steak house with a good price-performance ratio. Typical menu in terms of selection. The starters invite you to share. I found them a bit garlicky but very tasty. The steaks were very good. I had the entrecote and was satisfied. The service was friendly. Was a nice evening. Would come again.

Ate there for the first time based on several recommendations. What should I say? Better prepared steaks are hard to come by. Meat top, side dishes top. Price appropriate for this quality. We'll be back.

I have no idea what people like about it???? Three of us ate there by chance and as a professional chef I was very disappointed.🥺 Pike perch fillet with a kind of spinach ala blubb, finely chopped fried potatoes and holandaise sauce on the fish. Onion soup without Parmesan cheese topping (just clear broth with a few onions) Lamb chop very dry affair. (Could have been hospital food) My conclusion as a customer of a Spanish restaurant. Has absolutely nothing to do with Spain 🇪🇸. It was more like a German restaurant from the 80s. Rethinking the concept would be beneficial. 🙃

Was there for the first time! Mega tasty no matter what I ordered, chorizo, steak and side dishes have rarely been eaten so well in a steakhouse. Price/performance perfectly fine. Service was very attentive. Great recommendation..come back!!

Update September 2024: 😕 Still one of the tastiest steaks in Cologne……. but….. friends! A portion of PomFritz €5.20 or a grilled sausage €6.70? Pepper sauce €5.60 - That's really awesome. Of course the quality is still top notch... but for the prices in September 2024 I'm taking back one star. Potatoes haven't become this expensive recently. If things continue to rise like this (there was already a price increase in May 24) we will stay away. Update January 2022: We've eaten here three more times now. MEGA. Quality is still top class. Update October 2021: We were here for the 8th time now. With groups of 13 people as well as three or four people. There was never an outlier, the service was great, all the employees were extremely attentive without being annoying. In the meantime I have also eaten the rump steak, although in other places I usually left the fat on the plate because it was not grilled properly and was unchewable, but here I enjoyed every piece. Even if the price level here is 1-2 EUR above average, every cent of it is worth it. It never occurred to me to season my steak on the plate (with salt or steak pepper). The taste of the steak coming out of the kitchen is perfect. 2020: We were here for the first time on Saturday. A table was reserved, we were warmly welcomed and accompanied to the table (also by the house's friendly four-legged friend). The drinks arrived within five minutes; We ordered the food immediately after the drinks arrived. We had starters that were very tasty and appetizing, and for the main course we all had sirloin steak with various side dishes. Well, we have visited many steakhouses and the meat was cooked to perfection and was of excellent quality. The portions of the side dishes were very generous and the fries were very tasty. The fried potatoes were ok, but anyone who has ever tried them knows that it is often the potato itself that determines how the fried potatoes end up. In summary, it should be noted that everything was very, very tasty, and the staff was courteous and friendly. We'll be back. Soon!

I've eaten at many a steakhouse here in Cologne, but this steakhouse is by far the best. I ordered a steak entrecote well done, but the steak was still so tender. All respect for the grill master

We had dinner there some time ago. Dogs and children in wheelchairs were received with absolute love. The food was delicious and the staff were all absolutely top! If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back :)

We were in the restaurant for the first time today. Beautiful atmosphere, service and staff very friendly, you felt like you were at home. The food was very tasty. Had skirt steak + fries, lamb chops + fried potatoes + spinach and the salad with chicken breast strips. Sangria was also great. Highly recommended. You'll definitely see us again 😃💚

We have eaten at La Casona many times. In our opinion it is the best steak we have eaten in Cologne so far! The quality of the meat is simply amazing! Whether for 2, 3 or a large group for a birthday... We have never been disappointed! All the staff are super friendly and it's just fun to eat there!

La Casona is a really good steakhouse where good meat is prepared professionally and to perfection. The open wine is top and the service is very, very warm and professional. Gastronomy as you wish, clean, well-kept, friendly and soooo tasty. There were three of us without a reservation in the sunshine on a Sunday during the holiday season. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even a place on the terrace was possible. We all really liked the open and warm manner. Then the food was not only beautifully prepared but also incredibly tasty. The steak was perfect, the side dishes were all fresh, the salad was beautifully prepared, the herb butter, aioli and sauces were homemade and extremely tasty. Price performance was justified and we will definitely be back soon 👍👍👍 The only disadvantage is that it is on a main road and parking is limited or expensive. But unfortunately the owner can't help that.

Gastronomie wie man es sich wünscht, sauber, gepflegt, freundlich und soooo lecker. Wir waren zu dritt ohne Reservierung bei Sonnenschein an einem Sonntag in der Ferienzeit. Bedienung war unsagbar freundlich und zuvorkommend, selbst ein platz auf der Terrasse war möglich. Die offene und Herzliche Art hat uns allen sehr gefallen. Dann das Essen war nicht nur toll angerichtet auch noch unfassbar lecker. Das Steak war perfekt die Beilagen alle frisch der Salat war toll hergerichtet, Kräuterbutter, Aioli und soßen waren selber zubereitet und Mega lecker. Preisleistung war gerechtfertigt und wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder 👍👍👍

Good food at reasonable prices. Rather unsuitable for vegans as there is a lot of meat on the menu. If you like that, you can indulge in happiness here. Outside you can experience the exciting expressway, inside you can sniff your proteins in peace.

Unfortunately there was nothing special about the fillet steak 300 gr. Price was completely standard 44.90 without any side dishes but the quality of the meat was unfortunately nothing special. There were tendons in the meat twice that I couldn't swallow! If you trust your butcher, you can conjure up better fillets in the Optigrill

As always, the food tasted excellent. The service was very nice and quick. When it comes to steak, La Casona is my number 1. The shop can only be recommended.

Steakhouse away from the tourist hustle and bustle in a beautiful area. I chose it because of the good reviews and I can totally agree. The unobtrusive but warm service is outstanding. Had steaks and carpaccio, everything was great. It will be a bit more expensive because the side dishes are charged extra. But moderate prices for the drinks. Super pleasant stay with delicious food 👍

As a starter I had fried mushrooms in garlic, unfortunately the garlic just missed them and they didn't taste like anything. Otherwise, the food was good, as was the service, the ambience looks nice, but depending on where you sit it is very loud (we were there on a Friday evening). Conclusion: Personally it is too loud for me, the four of us agreed on that. It may be quieter during the week. That's why unfortunately there isn't the full number of stars.

It's very good tasty and everything. But the tables are very deep and they don't have children's menus. The most important thing is , but it's way, way, way... too expensive. Because you spend around €45-€60 per person.

Delicious food, but keep in mind that all sides other than fries must be ordered extra. Unless you order the meat separately, you must also order the side dishes separately. Beef is simply not cheap. The fish was complete. The 4 of us lost 180 euros without doing anything crazy.

We were here for dinner on Sunday evening. The meat is okay. What I found annoying, however, was that it was served on cold plates. The plates are on the grill, but they are not warm. Accordingly, the meat gets cold quickly.

I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant in Cologne, but it was a great evening. All the employees are super friendly and on a first-name basis. It's not for everyone but I like it! The food is great! Later in the evening it became crowded and guests had to wait for a table. Here too, no word as to how we need the table. I'm giving this double the number of stars. If you want to eat out in Cologne, you should definitely go here

Very tasty food, nice ambience and friendly service. Especially the CHORIZOS CRIOLLOS (Argentinian grilled sausage) was a dream, it's a shame that we don't have that here. Only the prices weren't quite right, but that could also have been due to the Fibo.

We went to this steakhouse based on the good reviews and I can say we were not disappointed at all! Employees are open-minded and friendly with a good eye if/when the guest has a request. The dishes are tasty and of high quality, which is also reflected in the way the plates are presented. I will gladly come again

We came for our 2 year anniversary when on holiday in Cologne. The atmosphere was great, people having fun, nice decor and some music. The servers made us feel welcome and helped us with the menu when needed. Complimentary bread and dips were amazing, we had a great salad and a spicy stew for starters. The house wine was very tasty too and a litre for €21 was very reasonable. The steaks for the main course were very tasty cooked to perfection and nice and juicy, although the sides (fried potatoes and potato croquettes) left a bit to be desired and lacked flavour. Regardless we had a great time, however it is worth noting that the server came and gave us our bill very quickly after we declined the dessert menu. Although we had declined menu we were considering ordering more drinks. This made us feel a bit rushed like they wanted us to leave to free up space, maybe was just a misunderstanding. We stayed for 45mins longer whilst we finished our wine. Worth a visit for sure but for this price point would want more from the sides

Wir haben sehr gut und lecker gegessen. Alle Steaks kamen wie bestellt, auf den Punkt gegrillt. Die Preise sind relativ hoch aber gerechtfertigt. Der Service war durchweg toll: Aufmerksam, sehr freundlich aber nie aufdringlich. Als es voller wurde war es mir etwas zu laut. Darum hier 4*, aber das ist auch alles. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Immer wieder hervorragend. Ambiente gefällt mir gut, Service stets freundlich, sympathisch und aufmerksam und die Speisen wirklich klasse. Die Steaks sind immer auf den Punkt gegrillt, es schmeckt alles köstlich.

Geweldig eten, heerlijk stuk vlees. Niet goedkoop maar zeker de moeite waard. Personeel is gastvrij en meedenkend
