Steakhaus La Casona in Köln

It was my first time there, and I would recommend it and would happily go back. However, I have to say the fries weren't great; I was hoping for good steak fries after such a great steak.

We were there for the first time today. The steaks were delicious and exactly how I wanted them. The sides, the sauces, everything was perfect and so delicious. The service was very, very friendly, and the wine was delicious. Everything was simply fantastic.

A first-class steak experience! I was at La Casona in Cologne and was absolutely thrilled. My 400g entrecôte was as tender as butter and full of flavor – a real highlight! My companion's sirloin steak with onions was also perfectly cooked. The service was excellent: attentive, warm, and quick. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! A must for all steak lovers – we'll definitely be back!

Incredibly delicious meat! Perfect! The service was actually great, too, although we were overcharged for a dessert, and no one knew who had paid for it. The atmosphere is also good, but right on the main street (and a bit noisy, among other things).

For us (and probably in general), this is the best steakhouse in the greater Cologne area! Here you can enjoy authentic Argentinian steak. The flavor is fantastic and the cooking is perfect! The side dishes are excellent and complement the meat experience to create a culinary delight. The service is friendly, attentive, and fast. The ambiance invites you to linger and fits the style of the restaurant well! We are extremely satisfied and, despite being regulars for many years, have never been disappointed. We can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

A very friendly welcome and fast, professional service. My rump steak was of excellent quality, which is what I expect for the price and am happy to pay. Unfortunately, the meat was cooked rare instead of medium. It was also immediately put back on the grill, but unfortunately not for long enough. I didn't want to complain again. The Béarnaise sauce was good, but for a ready-made product, I personally found it too expensive. The grilled vegetables were delicious, but some were blackened. Nevertheless, it is one of the best steakhouses in the city.

Meine Frau hatte sich die Garnelen-Vorspeise und eine Ofenkartoffel zusammen mit meinem Hauptgericht bestellt. Es war sehr schmackhaft, allerdings waren die 6 Garnelen preislich überzogen. Ich hatte ein 300g Entrecote, Pfeffersauce, Grillgemüse und Bratkartoffeln. Das Steak war auf den Punkt gebraten uns sehr lecker. Die sehr gute Fleischqualität war mit jedem Bissen zu spüren. Grillgemüse und Pfeffersauce auch prima. Die Bratkartoffeln waren leider keine Bratkartoffeln, da sie null Röstaromen hatten. Mir schien, dass man sie vergessen hatte, Steak schon fertig war und man die frischen Kartoffeln nur kurz im Öl gewälzt hatte. Ich hatte nicht erwartet, dass sowas die Küche verlassen darf. Ich habe den Ober sofort darauf angesprochen, er sagte nur: Kann passieren! Die Reaktion war schon seltsam, wenn man solche Preise aufruft. Ich hätte erwartet, dass er mir angeboten hätte, die Salzkartoffeln nochmal in die Pfanne zu hauen, oder aber sie in der Rechnung weg zu lassen. Habe mich geärgert, dass ich das dann nicht selbst vorgeschlagen hatte. Die klein geschnittenen Salzkartoffeln waren aber lecker , nur nicht das was ich bestellt hatte. Mir fehlte am Ende auch die Frage: hat es ihnen geschmeckt? Auch das hätte ich in einem so hochpreisigem Lokal erwartet. Deshalb habe ich hier auch einen Stern abgezogen.

I was last there 10 years ago. For a steakhouse, the quality wasn't up to par. BUT this time I was extremely impressed. Absolutely top-quality meat, perfectly grilled. We were there yesterday and have been several times since. We were there for the first time a few months ago and now go once or twice a month, as it's become our favorite restaurant for perfect steaks. Not only the meat, but everything is incredibly delicious, and the sangria is like Spanish. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are super friendly and on the ball. You feel like you're on vacation, not in Cologne. The staff is always cheerful, friendly, and attentive. They also make you feel welcome and at home. We're always happy when we go there because the food is good, but also because all the employees are so nice. If you think the good reviews are fake, which you'd think if you only read good things, no, they're not. It's rare to find places like this these days, but here you'll definitely find one. And if someone has something to complain about, there's no help for them because they're just complaining because they want to. And if anyone says it's expensive, let me tell you: "Good meat is always expensive, and here it's freshly cooked and cooked to perfection!" You can taste the quality. After a visit to the zoo, we spontaneously got a table, and we were thrilled! The meat was of excellent quality and grilled to perfection, all the side dishes were delicious, and the service was very friendly – ​​top notch!

5 stars – The absolute best steakhouse ever! I've tried many steakhouses, but La Casona beats them all! You feel welcome as soon as you enter - the ambience is stylish, cozy and perfect for a special evening. And then the food… WOW. The steak was grilled to perfection - with a fantastic crust on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Every bite was a delight. The side dishes were also great. The service was also outstanding: attentive, friendly and competent. You can tell that there are professionals at work here who really want to pamper their guests. I would love to come back every day. Absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates a really good steak!

An absolute recommendation for meat lovers. I enjoyed a grilled rip eye steak medium rare there. I would recommend fries or fried potatoes as a side dish. I had croquettes which were tasty but the portion was very small. Before the main course there was fresh bread with an aioli dip and herb butter. The meat was grilled perfectly. Really great

What a spontaneous stroke of luck! We were there at 6 p.m. without a reservation and had to wait a bit because all the tables were full - but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, the quality was first class, and the service was excellent, so we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. If you want to enjoy a good steak in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the right place for you. Clear recommendation!

La Casona is our absolute favorite steakhouse. Everything is just right here. From the rustic, cozy and family atmosphere, the first-class meat quality (steaks are perfectly prepared) to the extremely friendly and courteous service.

After my visit I can say that it is the best steakhouse in Cologne. The store was full but we were warmly welcomed. ⭐️

We were guided by reviews, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. When choosing steaks at a very high cost, we expected more than the natural taste. It didn't happen. Meat prices are quite high. Please note that the price of the steak does not include a side dish. We chose potatoes in foil with butter, but they were tasteless. At the end of the evening we decided to drink espresso, but they brought us a cold ristretto for some inappropriate price. Expensive prices for alcoholic drinks. My opinion is that 40 ml of schnapps should not cost 9 euros. The service was good. Attentive waiters. We visited this establishment on Friday evening, we were lucky, there were few visitors. We definitely won't go there a second time.

Been there again and again for years. Meat quality of the finest, steaks comparable nowhere else! Great family that runs the restaurant with heart and hard work!

For a Steak House the quality is not good, I asked for a well cooked cut and it was not, the meat was cold, very expensive for what it is, the service good

Thanks to our colleagues at La Casona! We ate there with a small child and child-friendliness is redefined here. Our granddaughter was treated very kindly. And there was a plate with small greens and orange wedges for her to snack on. A brilliant idea, she ate everything and the wait for the other food wasn't long. So we were able to sit relaxed and enjoy the really delicious food.

Unfortunately the Greek waiter wasn't what you expected. We first ordered a bottle of wine and he said it wasn't that good and the price wasn't much either. Then we ordered the expensive ones and we liked the first one better. He came to the table and sometimes where my wife wanted to talk he just wouldn't let me talk. It's a shame, I invited and paid almost €400 but I'm disappointed and dissatisfied. Man must have better manners...!

Today we came spontaneously at quarter past nine, were served very friendly and ate a great steak! If we ever find ourselves in Cologne again, we'll be happy to come back!

First of all, everyone feels it differently! On October 18th, 2024, the two of us had a lovely evening and went to “La Casona” for the first time. We got a parking space directly opposite, and it was probably a bit of luck. The restaurant makes a clean impression and we found the ambience to be harmonious. The service was friendly and quite attentive too. The food was good, although I would like to emphasize the quality of the meat. Both my wife's skirt steak and my rump steak tasted great, cooked to perfection and tender, very tasty. The puristic style of presentation didn't bother us visually either. Clearly, the meat is in the foreground. The only downside is the pricing of the side dishes, for fried onions and fries, around 10 euros, is out of proportion for us. But it was a nice evening, and thanks for the grappa.

Service was super friendly. Steak was okay, but the side dishes were an absolute disaster. Salad came from a ready-made supermarket bag with two extra slices of tomatoes and an olive for 10 euros. The croquettes for 5 euros were a whopping 5 in number. The fries are absolutely standard like from McDonalds. Price performance far too expensive.

I don't know about Germany, but I think it's the best steak house in Cologne. Everything is this beautiful and delicious. I also put the pleasure of chatting with the owner of the business, Fedai, in a very special place. It's an amazing place that should definitely be visited. For now, there is no better place for Deutschland than Steakhouse in Köln. Kann alles so schön und lecker sein? Das Gespräch mit dem Besitzer, Fedai Abi, ist auch etwas ganz Besonderes. Ein großartiger Ort, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte.

A really good steakhouse. The steaks are great and worth a sin. This time it was my second visit. The first time in the summer we noticed the really warm red wine in bottles. I thought they would get it under control now in the fall. Unfortunately no! The €40 wine is also close to the grill. That will not do. I'll go again but stick with beer.

It was really tasty. Top meat. Buttery tender. And cooked perfectly. English 👌as requested. A chef who dares to season. I only give 4 stars for service. Everyone tried very hard....but....we ordered food for the kids that was supposed to be shared (only the meat!) and they got everything shared - corn on the cob and fries. Everything changed quickly. Thanks for that! And the fact that we had to ask twice for some orders was a bit annoying. We had a great evening! And we would love to come back!
