The palate rejoiced, the senses and eyes were joyfully excited, Lord and Lady as well as the little princess were lavishly entertained by the bards and muses and rolled home full and satisfied. The house whiskey was great, thank you for that☺️ A great experience for big and small lords and ladies.

I was here for the first time yesterday. I was very positively surprised. The food, service and ambience exceeded my expectations. It's worth an experience.

The ambience is really great, the cellars speak in an old but funny way and the service is great. The food is also very good, definitely something different and a great way to spend a nice evening.

Well, I went there for the second time today and with a calm mind I can say: Every penny is well spent. When you enter there, you feel as if you have stumbled straight from the market into a fine medieval tavern. The cozy atmosphere, the food and the wondrous spectacle that the servants and maids always put on always keep me under its spell. The food is a real culinary delight and the mead also flows freely. I have nothing small to complain about this house.

The waitresses are absolutely in their role. They love and live the Middle Ages. The music is great and the food is extremely awesome!

In the short term, Lord of the Grillz saved our evening, thank you again. The food was wonderful, one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The starters (the bread and the balls) were also really, really tasty. The waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive, we felt very comfortable. A wonderful evening!!!! The food was excellent, the best steak we have eaten in a long time. The ambience is so wonderfully stylish, you immediately feel catapulted into another world. The staff were also courteous, attentive and always remained in their medieval role without seeming too intrusive. It's a shame that it's so far away from us. If we come near Cologne again, a meal there is definitely a must. Thank you for the wonderful hours with you!

The type of service alone makes it worth going. Funny, eloquent, using medieval idioms, the boys and girls in their historical costumes are just great. This is really fun! The restaurant is beautifully designed, the background music is perfect! Gladly again and keep it up!

We waited a good 2 months because nothing was available beforehand.... And then a stay limited to 2 hours is quite an announcement. We “live” the Middle Ages, with everything in it and at least up to 10 medieval markets a year, not as visitors, but as campers. "Lord of the Grillz" ... you have images in your head of flickering flames, crackling coals, the smell of grilling in the room and sweating staff, suckling pig, ribs and mountains of fresh bread and vegetables. So you prepare yourself for a medieval evening, freshly showered and dressed in the finest thread and jewelry, in a great mood. So the expectations are quite high. Once there, we entered a small pub with the usual booths and dim lighting that are often found. . . At first no one took any notice of us and it was only when I went ahead and grabbed someone from the counter that they said: "Oh, yes this way," we followed a skinny guy past the toilets, down a staircase into the "cellar vault". Once we arrived in the vaulted cellar and sat down at an assigned table, we took a moment to let the atmosphere take effect. A bit spartan - here and there a cable hanging from the ceiling but not entirely without charm and quite rustic. You can build on that - the mood rose a little again, a few quick photos and the cards arrived. First a round of drinks and an appetizer platter for each couple. The menu advertised that each one was good for 3-4 people - well, for at least €17.50 And while we were waiting for the starters, the menu enchanted the entire hut: It's a burger joint - a real one - nothing with drumsticks, ribs, etc. For the most part, making burgers seemed to be a specialty of the house. Here the burger prices started at €15 - everything read well, I'll say that, steaks were also on offer, but the prices here shot up with the appetite into new parallel universes. And to be honest, I can't imagine what the artist of the fire was able to do with this - in the end I would certainly have stapled my €50 steak to the wall in anger - I don't understand fun with something like steaks, not in the slightest and I had already lost this advantage of trust when I entered the place and the lack of appetizing smells. So it's better to have something with vegetables - I mean, you really can't go wrong with grilled vegetables. So I decided on “The Shepherd’s Feast of Joy”. . ., I couldn't really decide: Whether it was the vegetable pan "all' Italiana" or the "vegetable pan à la Provence", in any case I was reminded of a big Frost manufacturer, because you can only get such wobbly beans after frozen. Without any love or matching spices, just add 5 strips of fillet on top, that should be enough for €22.50. That's what happened to my lovely maid with her "Lord of the Grills Burger" and the "Lord's spicy house sauce", here again a taste memory: Isn't that that cocktail sauce from Heinz? What amazed me the most was my dear friend, who isn't afraid of 1 kg of grilled muscle tissue. Grandma would have said: Now don't play around with the food boy - In short - nobody liked it. No matter how black you can dye the Börjer rolls, it doesn't make them colorful but rather tasty and juicy. ! What was most annoying was the lack of response from management when we told the service staff our displeasure. No, not the tiniest reaction - the bill was served flat and collected. Something can go wrong, but it can mean disappointing 6 people and ruining their evening and all their food. To completely ignore the honestly presented criticism. Disrespectful At least we got out early after spending €255 and 1.5 hours.

Yes, what should I write?? Friends recommended the store to us. And after a long wait, the time had finally come. Cheers!! The noble thread on and off. But unfortunately things turned out differently. The ambience was, well, I would say ok. It has to be said that we live the Middle Ages to the fullest. The food reminded me of a burger joint. And it tasted really horrible. - In the past, spices were used to cover up the bad taste. - But as we all know, tastes are different. Unfortunately no one liked it. Somehow people also expected masses of grilled meat. But it wasn't grooved at all. It's a shame. We immediately expressed our displeasure to the waitress, but that didn't change anything. Unfortunately. But this is all just my opinion and 5 others who were there. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. It's a shame, something could be done with the concept.

The atmosphere is really great! I eat there regularly. Workforce has +aura! Nice bonus fact the food is delivered on a stone and I always feel like a lizard slumbering on a sunlit stone on a warm summer day...highly recommended! Bring your children with you and they will be entertained with hand puppets or have fun with puzzles!

Nice medieval atmosphere and friendly service

I was at Lord of the Grillz yesterday and came especially from the Ruhr area because I had heard great things about the restaurant. To be honest, I was only moderately impressed and would therefore not make the relatively long journey to eat here again. The restaurant is furnished with great attention to detail. The waiters are dressed in medieval clothing, some with fantasy accessories. Everyone speaks in lyrical language, which begins with the correspondence regarding reservations. All of this has to be respected given the size of the restaurant, the number of guests and the background noise. Unfortunately our food order was forgotten, so we only got our food when we asked after being there for over an hour. This can really happen and is human, no question about it! As an apology we were given a schnapps on the house. Unfortunately, hunger spoiled the cheerful mood at our table. Then the food came and everyone was relieved. The burger was great, the fries were unfortunately partly soggy and a mango sauce tasted like applesauce. The price of the dishes at €20-25 was too high. I'm happy to pay a price like that if the taste is right. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case except for the burger. After our visit, our group was only moderately satisfied. We agreed that we didn't want to make the long journey again to eat here.

You come in and you're immediately in a different world! With dim lighting and appropriate music, you are greeted in a very friendly manner and immediately picked up in the "typical" language. The employees are in good spirits and never break character. The food was very good, the sauces were exactly as described, in our case nice and spicy and the burger was juicy with a crispy bun! The Lord of the Grillz is a portal into space and time. Everything is just right in this adventure grill house. Drinks are served in clay cups. Mead can also be ordered in a drinking horn. We have been here for the third time now and Lady Triss and her helpers always know how to enchant us with humor and drama. The folk metal music is strong. Here you can fill up with the starters alone, but 3 courses are a must for us! There are burgers, steaks are cooked to perfection, and the side dishes like beans with bacon are amazing. The various dips are also highly recommended! There is also a vegetarian option. Here I find the compositions to be not quite as tasty in terms of taste, so I think they need a little more sophistication. I also miss changing offers and innovations on the menu. Reservations are recommended, mead is a must and medieval clothing optional. Get involved and try acting too. Conclusion: best grill house in Cologne.

If you want something different than just a schnitzel, you should definitely go here, also fun for the children. Eating like in the Middle Ages, only the food itself is normal, such as hamburgers and steaks.

Were here yesterday evening, a nice welcome at the entrance, you are taken to your table very quickly, the Middle Ages theme was perfectly implemented, the food and drink as well as the service were excellent.

Overall a brilliant 5 star restaurant. The waiters live the motto, as does the ambience. It was really an experience. The food was inexpensive and really good. A highlight was the meet made from house brand drinking horns. A really great all-round package. Absolutely recommended!

Definitely recommended. It's something completely different. Medieval music, ambience, employees including the language. Even a magician runs from table to table. There are also some wild animals such as a dangerous dragon that can suddenly scare you. The food was super fresh, hot and really delicious. Prices absolutely humane. We were there today with 2 adults and our 2 kids and we were all thrilled. A very great atmosphere with great attention to detail. All the staff were incredibly friendly and kind in their roles. The kids got crowns and our 3 year old also got something to paint. A magician came to the table to tell little stories and tricks, in between swords were polished and dragon hand puppets were used to amuse both children and adults. I don't know who had more fun, the adults or the children. Next time we'll come like one or two guests in medieval costume! The food was very tasty. “Praise to the kitchen!” The steaks were excellent. The price is completely reasonable and no more expensive than in the brewery. From beer to Meet to the woodruff limo, everything came in beautifully tempered clay cups and jugs. All in all we had a really great time. We will definitely come back! The Middle Ages program is here! It was really something special to eat there. Everything is correct and was very good. Nice staff, super delicious food. There's really nothing to complain about. There were 7 of us there and we all ate very tasty food. The staff is super nice and everyone is perfectly “in character” at a great level. Only this "Merlin" who shows you some kindergarten magic tricks in standard Cologne style was nice and friendly, but apart from the appearance he didn't fit into the concept at all.

Unfortunately I have to correct my original rating downwards. The chicken pieces are very tasty but unfortunately bone dry and fried for far too long. At times I didn't know whether I was biting on cartilage or a bone because everything was rock hard, and the quality of the wings is also very poor. Almost just broken bones and very little meat on it. The restaurant is always worth a visit, but unfortunately I can only advise against the wings at the moment.

Brilliant restaurant with delicious food! We were there on Friday for ColognePride and it wasn't overly crowded, the service was very on the ball and super quick. We had ordered mead in horns (not a good idea, it gave me a headache in the morning 🫢) but hey, the starter of dragon eggs was very tasty, as were the main courses. At some point the waitress started handing out funny accessories, my partner got a wreath of flowers and our companion got a crown 👑 very amusing and fits the mood and ambience. The only criticism was that the music was incredibly loud... it was very difficult to have a conversation.

We booked relatively quickly for my birthday. Nevertheless, we quickly received an answer for the reservation. The restaurant is like a little journey back in time to a tavern from the Middle Ages. The whole ambience is adapted to this and is really impressive. Our table was also specially decorated, which we were very happy about as it was only a small piece of information in the reservation. The food is very good and worth every dollar. Big praise also to the sirs and ladies for the great service.

Great evening. Big tasty burgers and very friendly service. Prices a bit on the steep side but worth it.

Stylish medieval restaurant. We were warmly welcomed at the door. Acted flexibly when it turned out that there were 3 of us more. The drinks came in stylish clay vessels and were given medieval names such as a large Colonius (Greek Kölsch). Unfortunately, the darker ambience makes it difficult to see the menu, which is why many people read it with their cell phone flashlight - a little disturbing for the ambience. All the dishes we had with 11 people were enjoyed by everyone and everyone was full. The employees complete the experience completely and offer a nice supporting program. It was an excellent evening and is definitely recommended for anyone who wants to experience something like that and can tolerate simpler food. It is advisable to travel by public transport as there are not many public parking spaces available.

The innkeepers, dressed in splendid robes, are so friendly and accommodating that you feel like you are in your own home. Hear hear, After we made our way to the Lord in our carriage, we were not disappointed again. Celebrating the 77th birthday of the head of our family here was just right. The staff is incredibly friendly, very funny and noticeably enjoys their work. The food is simply fantastic. Small touches, such as the gift of a medieval headdress, will lighten up and stimulate the evening even more. The atmosphere is consistently medieval. Dim lighting, stone walls, wooden benches with sheepskin, wooden cutlery and medieval decorations... Not forgetting the music that accompanies the ambience. In our special case, my father's birthday, it was so sweet that a great dessert from the house was served, an announcement about our Lord's birthday and a birthday song were also sung. Arrived yesterday with friends and family to dine there. We found a wonderful atmosphere on site and the service was also great, from the role play to the effort made to entertain the littlest ones in our circle and to allay their fears after their dad said that there were demons in the dungeon 🤣. But now to the most important thing, the food was absolutely great. The Hercules Burger was one of, if not the best, burgers that I have treated myself to in recent years. The 2.5 hours is enough time - but we also used every minute. The menu is clear, but there is something for every burger and steak fan.
