The service was nice, the atmosphere was lovely, but unfortunately the burger didn't taste good to me.

Others should take a few slices from that. Good kebab skewer, everything fresh. Not the best kebab I've ever eaten, but in the top 10. Considering what you often get elsewhere, this one is super cheap. For me, it's just honest and good!

Today, the three of us ate at Marek's. We each ordered ribs, salmon, and the Ursprung skewer. Overall, we were very satisfied. The sauce on the ribs was quite sweet and delicious. The texture of the meat was firmer than usual for ribs, but in a pleasant way. For the perfect dish, I would have liked a generous pinch of high-quality smoked salt, but otherwise, it was excellent. The salmon dish was perfectly balanced; we would definitely order it again. The skewer was perfectly seasoned; it just needed a bit more heat, perhaps a touch darker on the outside so you could really taste the flames. With the side salad, you can tell that the chef has kept the things that work well over the years. I recognized the mushrooms, pickled carrots, and the dressing. I would have liked a little more separation between the fresh salad ingredients and the very good pickled vegetables. That would have made it easier to appreciate each one. A little less dressing would have been nice, too. But these are all minor issues. The server was professionally competent and proactively pointed out the unavailable soup. When she then used the Italian plural of "espresso" when we ordered dessert and coffee, I couldn't help but grin. We trudged home, full and happy, through the drizzle.

We were a party of 3, who just had an amazing food experience! We were served GREAT pizza in a great place with the friendliest and most helpful waiter and staff. Family-run business that is world class! I can honestly say I have never ever had a pizza better than the one I just ate! Well done! You should be so proud of yourselves! We can't help ourselves; visiting the Esszimmer restaurant at least once a month is a ritual. And just like last Friday, we experienced truly impressive quality in every aspect: the preparation, the service, the combination of dishes on the menu, the wine selection, and the incredible friendliness of ALL the chefs and staff. For us, it's worthy of a Michelin star. The Michelin Guide inspectors should definitely take notice. I've attached a few pictures. Addendum to my review: Here is the September menu, with different highlights every month; the chef seems to have no shortage of ideas. The quality, as always, is top-notch – outstanding ingredients are used, making the price entirely justified. Finally, this news: There are some pieces of news you'd rather not read. The announcement from Annemieke and Timm that they will be closing on December 31, 2025, falls squarely into this category. It's heartbreaking. Truly heartbreaking. We are all the more grateful that we were able to see them on December 13th. We were fortunate enough to experience one last menu that reflected everything these two stand for: passion, precision, and that special serenity with which great cuisine simply "exists." Sadly, it was already the penultimate time. On Christmas Day, as every year, we will let Annemieke and Timm pamper us one last time—at least for now. A painful thought. What they leave behind is far more than just good food: a consistently exceptionally high standard, select products, a creative touch, and a quality in both the kitchen and service that, in our opinion, deserves at least two Michelin stars. Not as an award, but as a matter of course. Their departure is a real loss for the culinary scene in Cuxhaven—and for all those guests who don't confuse enjoyment with noise. It's a significant blow to upscale tourism. Restaurants like these aren't a gimmick; they define a region. They should be protected and promoted—because those who offer culinary quality attract quality. What remains is gratitude. And the quiet hope that "the end" might not mean forever. 🍽️✨

Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang. Wir waren etwas zu früh, konnten trotzdem etwas essen. Es gab eine kurze info: den shop, den Spabereich, und alles was wichtig ist. Die Zimmer sind Top ausgestattet mit Blick auf die Berge. Auch im Restaurant war alles bestens. sehr nettes Personal kümmert sich um die Wünsche der Gäste. Auch das Essen ist super.
