We had a delicious meal here in a wonderful atmosphere. Very fair prices and food prepared with love – I definitely recommend it.

Met up with my friend and his family for lunch, and in the process stumbled upon a little gem of a bistro that felt like it had been hiding in plain sight. To my surprise, it was my very first time trying Brazilian cuisine and honestly, what a way to start. Consider me spoiled for life. The service was quick, but more importantly, the chef and his partner radiated warmth. You know the kind of people who make you feel like you’ve been invited into their home kitchen? Exactly that. I went for the Feijoada Bowl, while my friend’s crew ordered Tortilla Española, Estofado de carne and Moqueca de Peixe. Naturally, I made sure to “help” them with their plates purely for research purposes, of course. Every dish was delicious, and sharing bites only made it better. All in all, a lovely meal with good friends, great food, and the kind of hospitality that leaves your stomach full and your heart fuller.

I haven't eaten this well in a long time. On the way home from Italy, I had some amazing pasta, and the pizza was a dream 🥰 We need something like this at home.🥹 The boss is super nice and accommodating!😊

The staff is very friendly, and the crepes are truly delicious. The price/performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. A good selection of creations, always freshly prepared, and they also offer delicious ice cream, coffee, and other drinks. We'll be happy to come back. Thank you very much!

The best sushi ever! So delicious and delicately seasoned! It's a real shame that it's now closed. Me and my whole family will miss it very much and would be incredibly happy to be able to enjoy your sushi again sometime!

Dear James, I'm Rach the Restaurant Tester.... About your shashlik with fries and coleslaw... Are you having problems? There are clearly not enough oranges on the plate. People are already staring. Simply world-class, my darling... best shashlik ever 💋 keep it up.

Others should take a few slices from that. Good kebab skewer, everything fresh. Not the best kebab I've ever eaten, but in the top 10. Considering what you often get elsewhere, this one is super cheap. For me, it's just honest and good!

Timm and Annemike Schmeelcke's "Esszimmer" restaurant has been tucked away in the old halls of the fishing harbor for five years. The ambiance is puristic yet cozy, with a view of the fishing harbor. The service is warm and relaxed, yet smooth and professional. The cuisine impresses with high-quality products with a seasonal and regional focus, modern and innovative presentation, and, above all, meticulous preparation with perfect cooking times. You can choose from a menu with 3-6 courses, depending on your preference. Each course is a visual and gustatory delight for me. The poached cod is simply fantastic! Without a doubt, the "Esszimmer" is one of the absolute top addresses in Cuxhaven. It's all the more surprising that this restaurant hasn't yet been mentioned in the relevant guides.
