I had a pho with tofu and summer rolls with tofu after a review said it was the best vegetarian pho in Berlin. At this point I actually have to say that it was the worst I've had so far. More of a German stew (typical soup vegetables with broccoli, cauliflower, celery and celeriac, leek, green beans, onion,...) and unfortunately very few herbs that belong in every Pho (I couldn't find any relevant coriander or mint). Relatively few rice noodles.
Unfortunately, the summer rolls were also very dry and bland, no fresh herbs and hardly any tofu.
The sauce also didn't perform well in terms of taste.
For 18.00 euros (take away) I would have expected a world more and would sadly advise against a visit.
One hidden gem close to Beckenheimer warte.
The fish on the sushi was pretty thick and fresh, which is unexpected and also very appreciated for the low price. Vietnamese dish are also amazing! I did not take a picture though, the smell was too good and I ate it as soon as it arrived.
Super recommended!
The food was tasty but not much different than Chinese in my opinion. Service was nice and courteous and attentive. The ambience was dark and a bit small and cramped. Even though we were sitting at the window, it still seemed that way to me.
I ate here before my show in Zwickau. My team and I felt very comfortable from the first second and I felt at home. Great food, very authentic and very friendly. This is how I imagine a perfect evening with Vietnamese. Anytime again 👍🏼
Food isn't bad, but the portions are really too small. I don't understand why people are saving money on the rice portion. Quite expensive for that. Unfortunately it's not really worth it
After several years in Vietnam, I can say that the quality of the food is extraordinary even for Vietnam and is probably very rare to find in Germany. We drive 80 km to eat at Tom's! Thanks Tom, it's always a delicious experience!
It was my first time in the restaurant in Weißensee. The hospitality was very friendly and in a good mood, which I found to be very positive, but the portion of the food was very, very small compared to other Asians in the area and too expensive. After eating, I kindly commented that I was not satisfied with the price-performance ratio and then looked at photos from other guests and realized that my portion was actually significantly smaller. It may have been an oversight, but I would have been happy if they had accommodated me here rather than justifying this with poor explanations. I found that very unfortunate and disappointing. The ambience of the restaurant is inviting and cozy
UPDATE: They have now replied to my comment and dismiss my experience very matter-of-factly and with further incomprehension. I didn't go into it at all, but my meal, on the other hand, was very oily as I wanted it and despite my own composition, which only consisted of using no sauce and little to no oil, the dish shouldn't be significantly smaller and end up costing more than a complete dish. The explanations that vegetables cost more than salad are really poorly chosen, especially since there were hardly any vegetables or meat on my plate. I therefore decide to deduct another point because my criticism is not responded to in an understanding manner and is defended against it with poor arguments.
