Saigon Food Restaurant in Berlin

Very good food & nice wine. Had the spring rolls, dim sums, red curry and a riesling..whaaaaw... so good! Definitely a recommendation.

Absolutely authentic at fair prices

Great food here. After four minutes my food was brought to me. If you don't want to cook, Saigon is the perfect restaurant. Short waiting time and delicious food.

Below average at best when it comes to food. The menu was promising, but unfortunately the dishes weren't. For example, the salad that you put on your plate with every dish, without love, straight out of the bag. One order was specifically without carrots due to allergies. The finished salad still came on the plate with carrots. They then tried to collect the individual carrots from the salad, which was not completely successful. After complaining again, the one meal was free. When choosing in Berlin, the restaurant will not see us again. This is much better for the same price.

Wir hatten reserviert und damit auch ausreichend Platz für den Rollstuhl. Für die paar Stufen am Eingang wurde uns sogar eine Rampe angeboten. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend und haben sehr gut gegessen.

Ein kleines, sehr nettes Restaurant mit richtig leckerem Essen und total fairen Preisen. Wenn wir mal wieder in Berlin sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

The broth of the pho was so bland it tasted like plain water, and on top of that, there was an unpleasant sewer smell. The portion of noodles and other ingredients was small, leaving almost nothing to eat. They got the order wrong, but there wasn’t even a word of apology or any mention of how long it would take to fix. In Vietnam, pork is usually served barbecue-style, but here it was just dry, steamed meat. It tasted terrible... In conclusion, there's no need to go out of your way to visit this place. If you do go, avoid ordering these two dishes, and instead, try the "Pungpang Curry," a Thai dish, not Vietnamese food. We had to wait until after 8 PM to have dinner since we were sightseeing and were really hungry. Despite the good reviews, the food didn’t taste good, which we didn’t expect at all. But since we had already placed the order, we had to pay for it. Is it fair that we have to leave it behind and waste it? My order was wrong, and I had to wait until the correct dish came out. And when a pillar fell and almost hit someone’s head, there was no apology. Saying you did your best is just laughable.

My main meal was delicious - tofu and veg in peanut sauce with coconut milk. The only problem was that it was served on a plate, which didn’t work well for a saucy dish. If it was in a bowl it would have been perfect. Restaurant was quite busy when we were there (7pm on a Friday). Clientele generally seemed pretty middle aged. Overall, the food was nice and inexpensive, the restaurant had a pleasant, calm vibe, and the staff were nice. I would definitely go back.

Tasty, cheap and super fast. The Asian snack bar taken to a higher level. There are two cards available in the evening. Normal menu and evening menu. You will be overwhelmed by so much choice. The prices are very reasonable for the portion delivered. Due to the many options, the sauces seem a bit thin and the vegetables are very manageable on the plate, but not untasty.

Love this restaurant. It's not fancy but the food and service are top notch and we visit every time we are in Berlin. My favourite is the crispy duck green curry.

This was our third time in Berlin and our third visit to Saigon food. It was a Friday night and we hadn’t booked (oops) but the owner was fantastic and managed to accommodate us. Food is delicious - spring rolls particularly good and the deep fried duck breast green curry was amazing.

We were there at lunchtime. Tofu salad as a starter - very tasty, can be shared. Curry with tofu as the main course - also very tasty. Simple but good. Service was nice. I would come again.

We chose this restaurant based on the top reviews and were disappointed. Very small portions for the price, average taste. Definitely not coming back.

We were there a little earlier (30 minutes) and were still able to take a seat. Everything happened very quickly and everything was incredibly fresh and very, very tasty 🤤🤤😍😍 My absolute favorite is the Pho with 3 different types of meat. There are also toppings on a separate plate like Vietnman 🤤

We had a meal here during our stay which was superb. There is an extensive menu to choose from and it’s great value for money. Service and food were both excellent. It was about €25 per person for starts mains and soft drinks including tip. Would highly recommend.

The good reviews convinced us, so we went. Overall it was pretty good, but I wouldn't go there again. First we waited half an hour for the order and then another ~15 minutes for the food, even though we were almost the only ones there. Hmm. Service was still very nice. Food okee, compared to other Vietnamese in the price range. For my €10.90 curry I can expect more elsewhere. Ambience rather “cheap”. (disposable sticks)

We ended up here looking for a restaurant. And what am I supposed to talk about? It was very very tasty. The food was wonderful across the board. From the presentation to the seasoning to the taste. Excellent. The dishes were explained to us and we were served very friendly. The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxed. Nothing seems overloaded. The six to eight lucky cats provide a cute contrast and the music plays quietly in the background. I have no idea what Vietnamese food is supposed to taste like. I only know the Vietnamese restaurants in Germany and Saigon is definitely one of the best, if not the best Vietnamese restaurant I have eaten at. Would I eat here again? Definitely. All in all. A great restaurant with super nice people and incredibly delicious food.

All good, punctual in table reservation (everything prepared upon our arrival). Attentive, friendly and fast service. Diverse and varied menu, both generic and vegan, good cuisine and reasonable prices. As a detail, the owner was interested in the diners at all times. Insufficient wine list and we were struck by the kitchen steam effect upon entering. Better ventilation wouldn't be bad. Restaurant to consider.

A delicious meal after the Banksy exhibition. We were lucky and got a table without a reservation, after us there was nothing left. With the nice service - a table was brought outside especially for the 4 of us, the food and drinks were fresh and healthy and very, very tasty!!

Wonderful and fresh authentic food. The vegan dumplings are exquisite, the mango salad just right. And try to coco Panacotta - delicious! It’s a small place with lots of regulars so make sure to make a reservation.

Wir waren nun schon sehr oft hier im Saigon der Nollendorfstraße und werden immer wieder gerne hierher kommen. Das Essen ist 1+. Und der Service ist sehr freundlich.

Leider auch bei einem weiteren Versuch, wollten wir dem Restaurant eine erneute Chance geben mit 3 Personen, zu tiefst Enttäuschung. Essen lauwarm, Gemüse nicht gegart die Sauce überzuckert kaum Gewürze verwendet. Das Tofu lieblos in der Tomaten Sauce untergebracht, nicht angebraten Isd Ist Keine Empfehlung wert. Sicher läuft der Laden auch ohne uns, Geschmack und Genuss ist ja relativ und einigen Fehlt halt dieser.

Leider auch bei einem weiteren Besuch, wir wollten dem Restaurant eine erneute Chance geben, aber zu tiefst Enttäuschung. Wir kennen uns schon ein wenig in der Asiatischen Küche aus, aber hier war wenig von der üblich gut gewürzten Vietnamesischen Kochkunst zu schmecken. Die Sauce war völlig überzuckert, das Gemüse in unverhältnismäßig Stücke geschnitten und nicht richtig gegart, das Tofu wurde lieblos in der Sauce unter gebracht, nicht gewürzt geschweige angebraten. Somit das Fazit auch ein weiteres Mal vollkommen Enttäuschung. Sicher der Laden läuft, hier kann jetzt nur Vermutungen anstellen...

Ottimo ristorante vietnamita, non il solito riso con curry di cocco. Ho mangiato ravioli alla piastra, pancetta con verdure e panna cotta al cocco con ananas saltato. Prezzo ottimo, personale gentile e professionale.

Ci sono stato per cena con un a Nico che vive nel quartiere. Posto piccolo, pulito, ordinato. Personale super gentile e professionale, servizio veloce. Il cibo è veramente buono, non hanno i soliti piatti con riso, verdure saltate, latte di cocco e carne. Ho provato ravioli alla piastra, pancetta stufata con vermicelli, verdure e arachidi, panna cotta al latte di cocco con ananas saltata. Veramente super. Il prezzo è molto buono. Bravi!

Estive no Saigon para almoçar com minha esposa hoje. O atendimento foi perfeito, o homem foi muito cordial e respeitoso e a comida ficou pronta muito rápida. O Ambiente é bem aconchegante com aquecimento, a comida estava deliciosa! Nota 10!

Sucha cosy relaxed chill spot, food was amazing and good value for money, staff were lovely and kind. Wish I had this close to me so I could visit it more often! Only thing I would say is tables are quite close together to other people, would prefer a bit more space and privacy.
