Until the menu was changed, Nam Ý was my favorite Asian restaurant. Before, it only served vegan and vegetarian dishes. There were some really great items there, and that made the restaurant different from other restaurants in its category. The vegan offerings have been significantly reduced compared to before, and as a result, Nam Ý is no longer that different from other Asian restaurants in the area. It's a shame.

Yesterday, I was there with my daughter after a long afternoon at Barberini in Potsdam. The menu has changed; the restaurant now also offers meat dishes. With the complete closure of Wollankstraße in the winter (2024/2025), it was a very tough time for the restaurant, which was at a dead end for a while. My recommendation remains: Vietnamese cuisine of the highest quality, a truly aromatic and extremely spicy treat for the tongue and palate, plentiful and healthy. Cozy ambiance, discreetly courteous and attentive service, the prices are perfectly reasonable, although considering the quality of the food and its preparation, they are probably almost a bit on the high side. We always enjoy eating here. My unconditional recommendation: come along and let yourself be pampered with culinary delights.

I was here for the first time today. I was attracted by the relatively small menu, as that's often a sign of fresh ingredients. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked, the vegetables were still crunchy, and the soup was richly seasoned. Perhaps a bit too salty for my taste, but still delicious.

Since Nam Y opened, we have enjoyed eating there again and again. At first it was run as a vegan/vegetarian restaurant (which also served sushi), but there hasn't been any sushi for some time. Stocking fish was simply too expensive. And now it's a more "normal" Vietnamese restaurant that serves meat and tofu dishes. The service is always very friendly and accommodating, the dishes are always prepared very lovingly and in a variety of ways. In terms of taste, the Nam Y is also definitely recommended, although it is a little too “German”. But the coriander in the dishes makes it better :-) I think it's a shame that there is no more miso soup and the chalalot has also disappeared from the menu. It was always very tasty, as were most of the appetizers. Unfortunately, the bowls are no longer available either. In terms of price, the Nam Y is rather cheap. Due to the Wollankstraße Bridge construction site, this restaurant is also suffering. I find that very unfortunate. Therefore my recommendation: go! Support your local restaurant!

As some have already noted: As of the beginning of April 2025, the menu is no longer completely vegan. There is now only tofu and no meat alternatives made from Seitan etc. anymore. That's a bit of a shame, because fake chicken, fake duck etc. in different versions or tofu baked in sesame were always delicious and really something special here. It was easy to go here with people who follow a vegan diet and be sure that they will love it. Now, as far as the menu is concerned, it is a “normal” Vietnamese restaurant, like there are many in Berlin. With a completely vegan offering, it was in the area around Wollankstr. probably no longer possible. Nevertheless, it still tastes very tasty and the operators are very friendly. The fact that there aren't a hundred dishes on the menu but only a small but fine selection is also a plus point. The curry with duck is highly recommended, a little more expensive but also better than elsewhere. Therefore still 5 stars! And people who like to eat meat should be happy about the card change :)

I used to LOVE this place, but they just changed their menu from all vegan to only offering 3 vegan dishes. The food is still delicious, but I’m so disappointed they abandoned their vegan model.

Very tasty food. I ate the traditional pho with beef. The broth was nice and strong. Not too salty or anything like that. Lots of flavor and I could recognize the individual spices. Even though I was already full after the noodles and meat, I couldn't help but continue spooning the broth. The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. All in one, a really great restaurant.

Very large and delicious selection of vegan dishes from Vietnam. Very fast and nice service. The vegan duck is recommended. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the memory card because some dishes are no longer offered. A new map would be nicer :)

The Pho soup is incredibly delicious, I have ordered it several times at short notice in larger portions for celebrations, it was ready within 30 minutes and it was always very well received by the guests. In the summer, the home-made limos are unsurpassable. Friends and I have eaten here many times because it is always delicious. And the staff is also very friendly.

I've been coming here regularly for years and it's always delicious - especially the sour and spicy soup. It is also taken into account that I eat gluten-free.

I had lunch here with my mother today. It was very tasty and fills you up too. The service and rooms are also very pleasant, as there is comparatively a lot of space in contrast to many Asian restaurants. You can also sit outside. A good alternative to all the kebab shops in the area. Price wise completely okay. I'd love to come back.

It was specifically ordered that no coriander should be in the food, but it was anyway. The other food, bimbab, was burnt on the ground and also smelled very strongly of it. Service: no sugar was brought even though it was asked for very later Another problem In the end it cost €30.10 and we only had a €100 note. Instead of making a 10 cent discount, because of this incorrect order, an attempt was made to give it €69.90. she insisted on the 10 cents. My companion then gave a tip of €2 so that there was no further problem. Someone who is self-employed should know how to deal with customers and how to approach them instead of stressing over 10 cents. Incredible ! Ich war heute auf Empfehlung und Wunsch mit einem Klienten von mir zum ersten Mal hier. Sehr nettes Personal. Der Klient (aus Vietnam) wurde herzlich begrüßt und bedient wie ein Familienmitglied. Es ergaben sich sehr nette Gespräche mit dem Personal (Inhaber) und das Essen war super lecker und frisch zubereitet. Der Tee war bestückt mit Früchten aus Vietnam und es gab diese auf Nachfrage zum probieren. War sehr angenehm! Sehr gerne wieder und wirklich zu empfehlen!
