A brewery restaurant like in a picture book! This starts with the very hospitable opening hours. During the week it is open from morning (!) until evening (of course not on rest days). During the day there is a large selection of cold snacks and also a few small warm dishes. In the evening we really cook things up. Everything is down-to-earth and tastes great. The home-brewed 🍺 special draft beers are all of the highest quality and are tapped to perfection. Many connoisseurs come to Hörvelsingen just because of the beer of their choice! All service staff are always friendly, attentive and courteous. In summer, when the weather is nice, 🌳 garden operations are 🍺 self-service, which eliminates unnecessary waiting times.👍 However, the food is served at the table! Because everything really fits, I have been a consistently satisfied guest here for more than 40 years! 😀

Excellent typical local brewery. Characteristic place where it seems that time has stopped, with the custom of marking the beers on the coaster and even the final bill is written there. Very nice. If you are hungry I recommend the pork shank or goulash; they were absolutely the best of all the places I ate. The girl who runs the place is incredibly kind. She does everything herself, so be patient and wait for the preparation to be done on the spot. The waiting times are long if you want to eat, but it's absolutely worth it. I will happily return there on my next trip.

We were immediately welcomed very nicely!! Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the food due to a concert, but the later supply of very great tapped Alt and Kellerbier paired with the Sambuca foothills was simply fantastic, even though the barman was just about to get off work! The barman, simply an institution! It was a successful end to the concert, the best German rock band 😉. We'd love to come back! Thank you!

Highly frequented restaurant within historic walls

The actual purpose of the visit was a comedy performance. It started too early to have dinner in peace beforehand and so at the end of the performance the spontaneous decision was made to have dinner in the adjacent Grüner Brauhaus. Despite the late end of the performance (10:10 p.m.), the service staff announced after taking their seats in the restaurant (around 10:20 p.m.) that the kitchen would be closing in a few minutes. When studying the menu and then ordering, there was a bit of a hectic moment - it would be nice if the kitchen were a little more flexible about the playing times of the guest artists. Among other things, a 'Großes Brauhausschnitzel' with fries was ordered. The pretzel breading is crispy, the portion size is impressive in every respect and suitable to fill up even the hungriest Franconian (perhaps you should add a sprig of parsley to the arrangement with just a quarter of a lemon as a garnish to soften the snack bar flair a bit). Nevertheless, the price/performance ratio is completely acceptable here and the other dishes ordered at the table were also impeccable.

I have loved the steam beer brewery since my first visit almost 30 years ago. The service was great - as usual. What was annoying was that there were no more pork knuckles or associated dishes. It's doubly annoying when you plan your weekend around it and travel 80 km. The pulled burger ordered as an alternative was certainly poor in quality. However, I liked it. Then I noticed that I needed a meat cake. From a purely culinary point of view, it was rather “so-so” for me. Sure - pork knuckles are a must; But I could remember at that moment that this was the third time. Maybe You can also order 2 more pieces on the weekend. ;-)

Very nice brewery, super nice staff. Friendly and quick service. Great atmosphere. Food is very tasty and large portions. I can only recommend the brewery. Heaven and hell, unfortunately it's not a blast. Very soft and barely seasoned And the hackpeter is unfortunately very dry. Fried potatoes not crispy. Unfortunately I was very disappointed 😞
