We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Besuhaus zu Gießer in Pirna and it was an absolutely successful evening! Our table ordered rump steak, schnitzel and goulash, and each dish was a delight in itself. The rump steak was perfectly cooked and tender, as it should be. The side dishes rounded off the dish excellently. The schnitzel was crispy and golden brown, yet juicy and tasty – exactly how you want it. Particularly noteworthy was the goulash, which had a spicy and aromatic sauce and the meat was wonderfully tender. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience of the restaurant is cozy and inviting. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the Besuhaus zu Gießer to anyone who wants to spend a delicious and successful evening in Pirna! Many thanks to the team – we’ll be happy to come back!

A very nice and spacious restaurant with very good German cuisine! There is a large selection of starters and main courses as well as local beers. The food and also the beer were very delicious! It is always very busy, so a reservation is definitely recommended.

As always, the food was very good, there were language problems with the waitress and the dessert left a lot to be desired, at least when it came to ice cream.

If you ask for a place with a dog in a half-empty restaurant and the waitress only finds out that they are fully booked after consulting your manager (?), you feel a bit ripped off. I understand if dogs aren't wanted, but you don't have to let yourself be lied to. You should be more honest here! Of course I can't say anything about the food. The rating refers exclusively to the service and the treatment of guests.

Very tasty food, German-Bohemian cuisine. Prepared with love and served quickly. We had spiced meat, spinach dumplings, beef goulash, chicken breast and baked potato with salad. All recommended. Plus a home-brewed beer and homemade lemonade for the kids, just great. This restaurant is worth a detour. There are plenty of parking spaces directly on site.

I had barely dabbed the condensation from my well-chilled beer onto the serving when the friendly waitress was there and brought a beer mat for the glass. Keep it up 👍

After a long break, there were guests in the brewery again. Great service when making reservations in advance. No need to push guests around - enough time to eat, linger and enjoy, etc. The food was very tasty. The service Sven was super friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back. 😁

I wanted to go to the distillery and was very pleased to find a brewery. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. It was just before 11:30 a.m. when we checked the doorknob and found that it was still closed. We were still standing in front of the door when it was unlocked. When, as stated, there was no one in the bar, after a few minutes we saw a sign from the text of which we could see that the bar was only served on the 1st floor. Since I wasn't good on foot, we took the elevator and went upstairs. Once there, a distant voice asked what she could do for us. To which I replied that I would like to drink a beer, but I wasn't around anyone. To which I was bluntly replied that there was no service. When I asked what kind of beer there was, the flippant answer was, "The cards are on the table." With that my need for beer passed and we left the house. In my opinion, polite interaction with “guests” is different. I would have expected to be invited in and greeted when you stand in front of the door when the restaurant opens and be politely told that the service is only served upstairs and to be shown to a table and politely served. Luckily, it was the complete opposite at the distillery. Polite, attentive and accommodating. The employee was even apologized for. Very disappointing.

It was a very positive visit! The food was great, the beer was on the table about 2 minutes after ordering. The service with the reddish hair was very quick and friendly, reminded me of a friend 😅 Sanitary facilities top. Gladly again !

Unfortunately the chef walked past the spice rack. Dumplings for the knuckle are still raw inside. Chicken breast tomato mozzarella on tagliatelle. Not great in terms of taste.

Simply amazing!!! Very friendly and good service, very nice inside and outside and the food: really phenomenal! Super delicious! I had the onion treadle schnitzel and I could have been fooled! The home-brewed beer is also very tasty, I can also recommend the Brauhaus Quartett, there is something for everyone! If you are nearby or have to take some time to travel, you shouldn't search, but go there straight away! Always happy.

I absolutely recommend taking a look there. The food was really very good and the staff was really nice and accommodating! Kudos to the team! Painting supplies and a small playroom are available for children. This way you won't get bored while you're waiting for your food! We'd love to come back!

The beer is super good. Food below average. The sauerbraten actually only tastes like a normal roast, the typical delicately sour taste is missing. It was also quite cold. The goulash was not particularly tender and contained tendons.

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation with a wait of just under 20 minutes. The food was really tasty, as were the beers. Emma took very good care of us 👍🏻 Only the volume in the large hall wasn't quite as good, but that's probably how it is in the “beer cellar” :-)

Lovely place, the food is delicious, and not very expensive. The garden is lovely, they accommodated us with the dog, even if we didn’t have a reservation, much appreciated! The parking is a plus. We have been there twice, and we will go again.

We are currently on vacation in Pirna and visited the brewery this evening. The place was full, we had a seat at the bar, absolutely awesome. You could easily observe everything that was happening. We had a great evening. The food and drinks were top. A big compliment goes out to the team, it's really cool how you rock the place despite the stress. We'll be back. The distillery next door is also really top and stylishly furnished. The entire package fits and is recommended.

Quaint, cozy, nice atmosphere, enough parking spaces, staff wonderfully relaxed, relaxed, very friendly, communicates wonderfully with the guests. And the food is very tasty. Brathändl is recommended, but so is everything else. A variety of drinks, not just beer, the homemade lemonades are tasty. We'll be back. Price performance is reasonably good. We went to the brewery for dinner today. The atmosphere in such a large restaurant is of course always a little louder, but that doesn't bother us. The waitress (Ronja) was very, very friendly and everything came to the table quickly, even though the restaurant was almost full. The house smoked beer was excellent. To eat, We had spiced meat and Saxon sauerbraten. For dessert there was plum crumble. The food was lovingly prepared and tasted very good. The raisin sauce from the sauerbraten was to die for. If we find ourselves in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

I would have liked to visit the beer garden, but it was not open on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 around 1:00 p.m. when the weather was beautiful and sunny. According to the posted opening times, the restaurant should have been open. Other guests also left without having achieved anything.

Es war wie bisher immer sehr gut wenn man dem Brauhaus einen Besuch abgestattet hat. Der Grund war der Geburtstag der Großmutter. Wir hatten einen kleineren gemütlichen Extraraum für uns 8 Personen. Das deftige Essen, Zwiebeltreterschnitzel, Gulasch, Braumeisterschnitzel und Sülze hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Das hausgebraute Basteipils, Limonaden, Mixgetränk war ebenfalls alles von bester Qualität. Der Service war aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Vielen Dank nochmal! Patrick Rentzsch

Great brewery with hearty food and delicious beer.

I was traveling through on my motorbike. Located just before Saxon Switzerland, the brewery offered the ideal opportunity to fortify yourself at lunchtime. There are more than enough parking spaces available. Because of the nice weather, I took a seat in the spacious beer garden. There was a "Reserved" sign on each of the many tables there, but a board at the entrance said "Welcome" in handwriting and also pointed out that the waitress would be happy to assign a table. The service was very nice and quickly on hand to take your drink request. In addition to the typical brewery dishes such as grilled knuckles, schnitzel and steak, the menu also included typical Saxon dishes such as sauerbraten and roulade. In terms of price, the dishes are not a bargain, but still acceptable, especially when you consider that msn is located here at the gateway to one of Germany's most popular tourist regions. And all in a pleasant atmosphere. Also worth mentioning is the selection of home-brewed beers and fine spirits from the affiliated distillery. Unfortunately, neither was an option for me due to the motorization. All the better that you can buy both locally in a kind of factory outlet, not exactly cheap, but unusual and therefore special. Just not “zero eight fifteen”. Overall, the brewery is highly recommended.

We visited the brewery without making an appointment and were still greeted very friendly without the expected "have you made a reservation?" received and were offered what felt like the last two free places. It was the two-seater right at the counter. First of all: The evening was a great pleasure. Great ambience, really remarkable service, all young people who understand their job perfectly and do it completely calmly, obviously happy and very friendly. We haven't felt so comfortable in a long time. The price-performance ratio is very good, the prices quoted are fair! We look forward to your next visit!

Large and tasty portions, friendly service, nice atmosphere. It's no problem getting a table there at lunchtime, but you should definitely make a reservation in the evening.

Good food, a bit pricey but worth it.

Very nice location that you should definitely visit around 5 p.m. only with a reservation. Service was friendly and food was delivered quickly despite the rush. Minus point: Salad wasn't fresh, but was exchanged. And when a crispy fried chicken is ordered, I don't want breaded chicken breast... but there was nothing about breaded on the menu. Unfortunately, the answer here was just flippant: it comes out of the oven and is not grilled. I left hungry...

Reservierung (online) schnell und einfach. Sollte man machen, da immer gut besucht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, Zeitraum bis zum aufgeben der Bestellung des Essens sehr kurz (sehr übersichtliche Speisekarte), ebenso die Zeit bis das Essen kam. Das Essen selbst, gute Portionen und sehr schmackhaft. Gerne wieder.
