The food was again very tasty and very plentiful. The waitress was very friendly. Unfortunately it is a bit loud because of the large size.

It's just delicious every time! I order the spinach dumplings followed by crème brûlée every time I visit and am never disappointed with the taste. The service is also absolutely courteous and friendly, I only have to deduct a star for the ambience because it is very loud upstairs in the hall, but you can get involved in this taste experience.

Finally a German restaurant where the food tastes good. The service was very attentive. The price and performance ratio is appropriate. We would love to come back.

We were there for the third time now and we really enjoyed it again. Because you can reserve your table online, there are no waiting times. Thanks to a very clear menu, the choice was very easy and it tasted very good. The service, as always, was very friendly and quick. Dear team from the brewery, keep it up.

The brewery tour was top. Unfortunately, the service this time wasn't as good as usual. We wanted to finish our tasting in peace and then order food. Unfortunately, we kept getting pushed to order... the dish with the kale was very little, so for €18.90 1 sausage, 1 mini slice of smoked cheese, 3 potato halves and a bit of kale, really very little. Unfortunately we didn't get enough of it...

In the rustic atmosphere you can stay here and enjoy brewery specialties. An attentive and courteous service, which is also visually more than pleasant, frames the stay.

Today the four of us visited the Giesser after prior registration. From start to finish everything went great. From reception to the invoice there were no complaints. We will come again.

Good cuisine and very good service. I don't actually like it hearty, but you always have something. The pretzel salad is great. Since the dining room is quite large, it's a little louder.

The brewery is quite large, but I would still recommend reserving seats because word gets around about quality and as a result it is well attended here. And rightly so, because everything was right: nice and competent service, delicious (and very plentiful) food and of course there was delicious beer 🍺 A great plus point for us is of course the possibility of spending the night in the motorhome...Thank you for that

The food was very tasty and in appropriate portions. The staff very attentive and friendly. A large restaurant with smaller adjoining rooms, including a children's playroom, everything was very clean and well-kept. Made a good impression all around. Table reservation online with very quick confirmation, sufficient parking spaces directly at the building.

Super great service and delicious food

We took part in the Christmas buffet here. There was a rich selection of salads and side dishes, hearty meat dishes, but also vegetarian dishes that simply made you happy. The dessert buffet left nothing to be desired (ice cream, cake, cream puffs...) and as an absolute cheese fan, I found the selection of cheese simply fantastic. It's definitely not the last time I've eaten here!

WOW We became aware of you through the positive reviews. And we can only agree. It's a shame that we come from so far away, otherwise we would come more often. But if we're nearby we'll definitely stop by. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The service is great. You are doing EVERYTHING right.

Super delicious! The beer was delicious!

I had reserved 10 seats and we were even allowed to sit in the mayor's room. This meant we were very undisturbed in our group because the “hut” was full. From the food to the service to the ambience, everything was perfect 👍. Thank you for the very successful culinary Christmas hours, with extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating staff (all special requests were fulfilled). We will 100% come back!

Great restaurant, great atmosphere, plenty of food.

It could be reserved for 7 people at very short notice. A big plus point for that. The dishes were consistently very delicious. The selection of drinks was also highly recommended. The waitress provided very good service despite the high volume of visitors.

As always, the food was great, and our service was also very commendable. We always enjoy coming back.

The Brauhaus Pirna is always a good address when it comes to delicious food and drink. We can really recommend it and visit several times a year. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of free parking directly in front of the brewery.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff

We had on December 23rd. reserved for 35 people. Everything went excellently: from the reservation to the fine-tuning over the phone the day before to the meal. Someone constantly came to ask if everything was okay or if anyone else had a request. The drinks didn't take long to arrive and it took less than an hour from the time the food was ordered to arrive. The starter and the main course came almost at the same time, despite the large number of people. Many thanks to the Brauhaus team for allowing us to spend a wonderful evening like every year! We'll definitely see each other again on December 23rd, 2025 ;)

The best restaurant in a long time. We often visit restaurants and I would venture to say that I am a good cook and can judge the quality of the food well. It was fantastic. Excellent. We had 7 different meals and without exception they were all very, very good. Even an effort was made with the pasta with tomato sauce for the kids. There is a children's menu. Best home cooking at a high level. The service was also very good. Price performance ratio couldn't be better. Many many thanks

We went to “Gießer” for goose and it was super tasty and filling. The service was also good as always.

Mr. Hellenbrandt's wait staff looked after us very attentively and warmly, so that we had a wonderful evening and would be happy to come back!

A little loud but otherwise very nice

It was a wonderful evening for our somewhat larger group of 14 people. We were served very well, the service was quick, courteous, friendly and consistent. The food was delicious. We were also regularly well looked after at the bowling alley afterwards, even though it was a little away from the central focus of the restaurant. Thank you very much for a wonderful atmosphere at our Christmas party.

Dinner with family and friends in the mayor's room. Despite the restaurant being quite full, there was attentive, friendly and prompt service in the typical brewery atmosphere. Our food all came together on the table and was of very good quality. The brewery's own beer in several varieties is very tasty. Drinks and food feel like they're priced in the upper midrange, but they're definitely worth it.

Hier kann einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen! Gute Küche und super Service! Weiter so. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

The food was great both visually and in taste. Fairly large portions and a pleasant environment of a smaller brewery. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity of Bad Schandau.

We were there as a large group, everything went great from the arrangement to the payment.

One can certainly argue about the ambience... However, we were given a reservation period, among other things. There was such a time pressure that it just wasn't possible to enjoy it. The time reservation and the associated pressure were not necessary at all. Almost all the tables in the restaurant were empty. I give the 3 stars for the extremely friendly staff. Still won't come back.

The reservation worked perfectly. We went to the brewery for a “goose meal” and didn’t regret it. It tasted very good and was ultimately worth the relatively high price of around 27 euros per person.

I would like to try the food...unfortunately - contrary to what Google says...

Highly frequented restaurant within historic walls

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Besuhaus zu Gießer in Pirna and it was an absolutely successful evening! Our table ordered rump steak, schnitzel and goulash, and each dish was a delight in itself. The rump steak was perfectly cooked and tender, as it should be. The side dishes rounded off the dish excellently. The schnitzel was crispy and golden brown, yet juicy and tasty – exactly how you want it. Particularly noteworthy was the goulash, which had a spicy and aromatic sauce and the meat was wonderfully tender. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience of the restaurant is cozy and inviting. We felt very comfortable and can recommend the Besuhaus zu Gießer to anyone who wants to spend a delicious and successful evening in Pirna! Many thanks to the team – we’ll be happy to come back!

A very nice and spacious restaurant with very good German cuisine! There is a large selection of starters and main courses as well as local beers. The food and also the beer were very delicious! It is always very busy, so a reservation is definitely recommended.

As always, the food was very good, there were language problems with the waitress and the dessert left a lot to be desired, at least when it came to ice cream.

If you ask for a place with a dog in a half-empty restaurant and the waitress only finds out that they are fully booked after consulting your manager (?), you feel a bit ripped off. I understand if dogs aren't wanted, but you don't have to let yourself be lied to. You should be more honest here! Of course I can't say anything about the food. The rating refers exclusively to the service and the treatment of guests.

Very tasty food, German-Bohemian cuisine. Prepared with love and served quickly. We had spiced meat, spinach dumplings, beef goulash, chicken breast and baked potato with salad. All recommended. Plus a home-brewed beer and homemade lemonade for the kids, just great. This restaurant is worth a detour. There are plenty of parking spaces directly on site.

I wanted to go to the distillery and was very pleased to find a brewery. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. It was just before 11:30 a.m. when we checked the doorknob and found that it was still closed. We were still standing in front of the door when it was unlocked. When, as stated, there was no one in the bar, after a few minutes we saw a sign from the text of which we could see that the bar was only served on the 1st floor. Since I wasn't good on foot, we took the elevator and went upstairs. Once there, a distant voice asked what she could do for us. To which I replied that I would like to drink a beer, but I wasn't around anyone. To which I was bluntly replied that there was no service. When I asked what kind of beer there was, the flippant answer was, "The cards are on the table." With that my need for beer passed and we left the house. In my opinion, polite interaction with “guests” is different. I would have expected to be invited in and greeted when you stand in front of the door when the restaurant opens and be politely told that the service is only served upstairs and to be shown to a table and politely served. Luckily, it was the complete opposite at the distillery. Polite, attentive and accommodating. The employee was even apologized for. Very disappointing.
