We had the souvlaki skewers and the gyros, pita bread, tzatziki and taramas. We didn't have a reservation, we were just walk-in customers. The restaurant was fully booked on Saturday evening, but we were still offered a table for 1 1/2 hours. We were really happy after being turned away from various other restaurants because everything was full. There was enough time, the order was taken and the food was at the table quickly, despite the restaurant being full. Perfect 👌🏼!!! We would love to come back 😌. P.s. The number 47 (which was at the neighboring table) also looked very good 😁.

A very nice atmosphere in Athos Pirna - the furnishings are very tasteful. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We were there on a Tuesday evening - the restaurant was full to capacity. Reservations are recommended. Card payment is possible - even with a credit card. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed in Pirna for 2 days because we visited some of the sights. The restaurant opens from 5 p.m. and is always busy! The service was top, the food with great dishes then our chosen one was super delicious 😋 we haven't had such a service for a long time Simply top all around. Gladly again and again when we are in Pirna

When we arrived on site, we were greeted very nicely and taken to the table. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and simple. We decided to order the garlic bread and the plate of gyros and suflaki. We got an ouzo with the drinks. This one was delicious and mild. Then the salad came, the salad was crisp and fresh. Then came the food, a very large portion, especially a lot of meat and the suflaki was very tender and the gyros were very tasty. The fries and rice, as well as the tzatziki were also good. We have never eaten such good Greek food in Germany as we did at this restaurant. Overall, the service was very friendly, courteous and attentive. The toilets were also very, very clean. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars overall!

One of the best Greek restaurants I've visited so far! Everything was perfect: The staff was very friendly, humorous and quick! The food was very well prepared and tasty (except for the bread, which was too soft for us personally). The tzatziki was perfect in terms of taste and consistency. The guests also really liked the preparation and serving of the calamari... no unnecessary fat on the plate... pure taste! The atmosphere is very inviting, tastefully and modernly furnished! Thanks for the lovely evening to the staff and the birthday child who brought us here!

This place we found by chance has been amazing! The staff has been incredibly nice and the food was excellent. We are glad that the other restaurant we were going was closed. Ilias who was the person in charge of our table was attentive.

I found it extremely expensive. Changing from white bread to garlic bread was also way too expensive. Calamari wasn't particularly tasty either. Tzaziki, olives and fish rye cream were great.

I ordered food outside the house. A gratinated eggplant, 2 x gyros gratinated and a bifteki gratinated with egg. The quantity was kept rather small but the food was okay. I paid €76 for the quantity, which I think is a bit overpriced. All in all, as already said, quite okay. However, I won't eat there again or order out of the house again.

Haven't eaten here for a long time, but was very satisfied again. The food was again very tasty and the staff were very friendly. Everything just fits!

Despite the restaurant being full, we managed to get a seat around 8 p.m., very nice service, quick food and very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the retsina. Full recommendation!

Service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was also very good and the portion was sufficient. The ambience on the outside isn't that nice because it's right on the street, but there's nothing you can do about that. Price performance for gyros is upscale. Otherwise recommended!!

Wir haben in Dresden alle griechische Restaurants ausprobiert. Nicht, dass alle schlecht wären, sicherlich nicht. Doch vor etwa 6 Jahren haben wir das erste Mal Athos besucht. Köstliches Essen, ein einladendes, helles, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ambiente. Die Kellner, die uns bis heute bedient haben, sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich. Die Restaurantsinhaberin behält unaufällig Alles im Blick. Eine meiner Freundinnen, die gestern mit dabei war, würdigte dies wörtlich, da sie selbst vom Fach ist. Liebes Athos-Team, bleibt uns erhalten, damit wir viele Jahre von Euch und dem köstlichen Essen schwärmen können. Sie sind "unser Grieche". Sie sind es uns wert nach Pirna zu fahren und Ihr verdient in vielelei Hinsicht eine positive Bewertung zu bekommen. Von meiner Seite aus auch eine Bitte zu entschuldigen, dass wir gestern etwas laut waren. Meine Freundinnen und ich haben uns so zusammen sehr lange nicht gesehen. Wir haben uns einfach so unbeschreiblich wohlgefühlt. Danke, dass wir Euch entdeckt haben.

It was another very nice evening with my best friends and some really good food. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere makes you feel good and unwind. My friends were surprised by the large portions. I didn't finish mine at all and took the rest with me... no problem. If you want to have a nice, relaxed evening, it's better to reserve seats. It is always fully booked, even during the week. In that sense...Yamas 👍

The food was very tasty and we were looked after very nicely. Our dog was also welcome including a full water bowl and we were always asked about our well-being. A really great restaurant and great staff.

We have been to Athos Pirna twice, whenever we are nearby. We always liked it very much. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. And the food is always delicious. Price-performance completely ok. Afterwards I recommend a nice walk through the old town and to Sonnenstein Castle. So if you like Greek, then go to Athos.

The food was extraordinary, delicious, a poem. The service was very attentive, eager, bee-like. The ambience is great. Nothing can be said about the price - unbeatable. This restaurant is a must and an integral part of the map of good taste. The wine was very well recommended, the Ouzo before eating and after eating, a dream. I could give it 100 stars! The waiter gets an extra star.

A cozy place with very good food and friendly service, very good grilled meats, large portions. On the plus side - a free salad is served with the plate of mixed meats. The dishes were served quite quickly despite the high occupancy in the place.

Das Lokal ist vom Ambiente her wirklich sehr schön. Essen leider nicht schmackhaft. Gemüse statt Kohlenhydrate nicht möglich weil keine Gemüse vorhanden. Salat bestehend aus Möhren und Eisbergsalat in fetter fertig Dressingsosse ertränkt.

Wir entschlossen uns spontan, im „Athos“ zu essen - was für eine gute Idee. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service super nett. Ob Vorspeisen, das selbstgemachte Brot oder Hauptgang - alles war top und anders, als man es von „üblichen“ griechischen Restaurants kennt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

The waitresses seemed too rushed and spilled drinks on the table, but they cleaned it up. My Metaxa sauce was far too runny and fries were in the sauce, making them soggy. Furthermore, my dish included a higher priced side dish, but I only wanted fries, but I have to pay a change fee. My meat wasn't very tender and my husband's meat was more like medium rare! Unfortunately, for this price range, I expected more. I also pointed out that I have a carrot allergy and therefore the side salad should be without carrots! The top carrots were left out but underneath there was coleslaw with carrots!?!

A really great Greek restaurant in the old town of Pirna. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the employees are really nice and are happy to exchange a few words with the guests. The food is very tasty and appetizingly prepared. In short, a visit is absolutely recommended. We felt completely at home and were guests there twice during our week-long holiday in Saxon Switzerland and were completely thrilled on both evenings. Thanks to the team at Restaurant Athos!

Haben für Silvester dort bestellt und waren größtenteils sehr zufrieden! Lediglich konnten wir nur das Knoblauchbrot bemängeln, das hätte mehr nach Knoblauch schmecken können, dafür war der Tzaziki Bombe!!! Sehr sehr freundliches Personal und vorallem ist das Ambiente dort auch sehr einladend. Werden dort sicherlich wieder bestellen 😀

Schöne saubere Gaststätte. Essen war nichts. Mit meinen Lammfilets für ca. 38€ konnte man sich die Schuhe besohlen. Personal nahm es zur Kenntnis, dass war es aber auch. Für den Preis kann man mehr erwarten.

Moderner Grieche bei dem es hervorragend lecker ist. Nette Bedienung und moderate Preise. Zu empfehlen in Pirnas Innenstadt.

Ich habe das Restaurant das allererste Mal besucht und war begeistert. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Service hervorragend, das Essen sehr gut.

Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, so wie man es sich von einer gut geführten Gaststätte erwartet. Das Essen war in Ordnung, kommt aber bei weitem nicht an unseren Lieblingsgriechen in Dresden heran (Lukullus). Die Getränke sind unverhältnismäßig hoch eingepreist, da kann man schon fast in einen Sterneladen gehen.

Die Auswahl an Essen ist typisch griechisch bei guter Qualität. Wir hatten Gyros, gefülltes Bifteki mit Reis sowie ein Steak Hawaii überbacken mit Käse und Reis. Das Essen schmeckte wunderbar. Der Service war in Ordnung - die Kellnerin wirkte desinteressiert oder schlecht gelaunt. Dies kann natürlich jedem mal passieren - wer hat schon immer gute Laune? Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung in Richtung teuer. Vorspeise und Hauptgang bei je einem Getränk ungefähr 80 Euro. Ich empfand es als teuer. Das Ambiente war sehr schön. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne, bei unserem nächsten Besuch, wieder. Sollte ich geholfen haben, würde ich mich über ein "hilfreich" freuen.

Sehr hübsches und modernes griechisches Restaurant mit griechisch angehauchten Charme. Die Gerichte sind die Typischen und sehr lecker. Die Portionsgrößen sind angemessen und nicht so massiv viel, wie anderswo. Die Toiletten sind sehr hübsch eingerichtet und total sauber. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat sich regelmäßig nach unserem Befinden erkundigt, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Die Kellner sind extrem freundlich (aber nicht aufdringlich), die Einrichtung modern und gemütlich – und das Wichtigste: das Essen ist super lecker! Wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte und waren alle zufrieden (und natürlich satt). Das Athos ist eine klare Empfehlung für alle Pirna-Besucher!

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend ohne Reservierung da gewesen. Wir waren 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder. Haben mit viel Glück noch einen Tisch bekommen. Restaurant war gut besucht gewesen aber die Bedienung trotzdem schnell am Tisch. Speisen und Getränke wurden sehr schnell serviert. Es war eine sehr tolle Auswahl verschiedener Speisen vorhandenen. Die Kinderportionen war sehr ausreichend. Ich durfte dann noch die Reste verzehren da weder meine Frau noch die Kinder alles geschafft haben. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
