Very nice, cozy atmosphere. A place to feel good, especially in the restroom. I know it might sound a bit strange, but it's really nicely decorated. Even with the conditions, you can't complain. Very friendly. And the food: delicious! I had the surprise gyro. Highly recommended. The prices for the food are normal and reasonable for what you get; I just think it's a bit expensive that a 0.3-liter drink costs €4.50. But that's understandable given the current circumstances. Thanks for the delicious food!

It was a wonderful summer evening when we visited the Athos restaurant. We were greeted very warmly by a waiter outside. The food was simply fantastic! Beautifully presented and served with a friendly smile, and truly delicious. The spices were finely balanced and flavorful. The appetizer – grilled pepperoni – was incredibly tasty. I would like to thank the waiters again for their excellent service, which – besides the food – is equally important to me and, of course, is rewarded with an appropriate tip. If in Pirna – then ATHOS! We'll be back.

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant and simple. We decided to order the garlic bread and the plate with gyros and souvlaki. We were immediately served an ouzo with our drinks. It was delicious and mild. Then came the salad, which was crisp and fresh. Then came the food: a very large portion, especially with plenty of meat. The souvlaki was very tender, and the gyros was delicious. The fries and rice, as well as the tzatziki, were also good. We have never eaten such good Greek food in Germany as we did at this restaurant. The service was overall very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The restrooms were also very, very clean. Overall, this restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! Addendum: We ate there twice more after nine months. It's still delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

Great Greek restaurant, I highly recommend it. Especially the Metaxas sauce, super delicious. I had the dish with the baked bifteki with Metaxas sauce, fried egg, and French fries instead of rice. Way too much for me as a woman 🙈

We ate Stifado and Gyros Metaxa with cheese gratin - both were delicious. There weren't long waiting times. The service was as you would expect - very pleasant. The gyro dish in particular was a large portion. If that's important to you, the waiters come to the table with the Ouzo bottle even after the meal. There are also several tables (2-3 people) outside - but you sit on the edge of a pedestrian passage

As soon as we entered the restaurant, we noticed the pleasant, stylish atmosphere, which contrasted pleasantly with the usual clichés of many Greek restaurants. A quiet, tasteful atmosphere awaits you here, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. We would particularly like to emphasize the extremely attentive and friendly service. The staff was always present without being intrusive and ensured that we felt completely comfortable. The dishes were a real highlight: perfectly balanced in taste, prepared with high-quality ingredients and lovingly prepared. Every bite impressed with a fine balance of tradition and modern sophistication - a real feast for the senses! It is also positive to mention that card payment is possible. However, we would like to note that the tip must be given in cash. Unfortunately, after our hike we didn't have any cash with us, but we would have liked to have given a generous tip for the great service. All in all, we can fully recommend the Athos restaurant in Pirna. A real insider tip for everyone who values ​​excellent food, first-class service and an atmospheric ambience!

I really liked it here. The ambience is exceptionally high quality for a Greek restaurant. The old exposed ceilings of the house are impressive evidence of a bygone era. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was very nice and spoke German and there was no skimping on ouzo. We'll be back!

The only thing to complain about would be that you pay extra for fries instead of tomato rice. I may have missed it in the menu, but there was no mention of it from the waiter. All in all it was still great and recommended!!!

The Athos in Pirna is a typical Greek restaurant in Germany. The food was very good and filling, the staff very attentive and friendly. It is definitely worth visiting and trying the different dishes.

Oreo estiatorio 👍 The three of us were feasting this lunchtime 🤗 When the salad came, I immediately thought, wow, beautifully prepared. Our table was filled with delicious vegetable starters, delicious home-baked bread, gratinated cheese and tzatziki. It was really worth taking the trip to the Elbe. I can't forget the friendly hospitality 🙂 Thanks for the great food.

Every restaurant is a little stressful on New Year's Eve. But it was already noticeable that the table would soon be needed again for the next guests. Food was good as always. The starter salad used to be better with red cabbage. An ouzo after dinner would have been nice but as I said, everything was a bit stressful that day.

Where greed is probably endless. 18.90 for Gyros Special WITHOUT side dishes, plus 3.50 euros for croquettes... 8.90 euros for chocolate cake..... And now the best part... 1.00 euros for packaging money if I can never manage everything and want to take it with me .... Are you crazy???? Never again.

We can only agree with culinary highlights during our holiday here. So far we haven't had any luck with the staff or with tasty food (except for the Thuringian bratwurst at the Christmas market 😀). Everything is really right in the Athos restaurant. Friendly staff, tasteful decor and delicious food at reasonable prices. As you can see...it works. You just have to eat Greek. In any case, we can only recommend the restaurant!

We had the souvlaki skewers and the gyros, pita bread, tzatziki and taramas. We didn't have a reservation, we were just walk-in customers. The restaurant was fully booked on Saturday evening, but we were still offered a table for 1 1/2 hours. We were really happy after being turned away from various other restaurants because everything was full. There was enough time, the order was taken and the food was at the table quickly, despite the restaurant being full. Perfect 👌🏼!!! We would love to come back 😌. P.s. The number 47 (which was at the neighboring table) also looked very good 😁.

A very nice atmosphere in Athos Pirna - the furnishings are very tasteful. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. We were there on a Tuesday evening - the restaurant was full to capacity. Reservations are recommended. Card payment is possible - even with a credit card. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed in Pirna for 2 days because we visited some of the sights. The restaurant opens from 5 p.m. and is always busy! The service was top, the food with great dishes then our chosen one was super delicious 😋 we haven't had such a service for a long time Simply top all around. One of the best Greek restaurants I've visited so far! Everything was perfect: The staff was very friendly, humorous and quick! The food was very well prepared and tasty (except for the bread, which was too soft for us personally). The tzatziki was perfect in terms of taste and consistency. The guests also really liked the preparation and serving of the calamari... no unnecessary fat on the plate... pure taste! The atmosphere is very inviting, tastefully and modernly furnished! This place we found by chance has been amazing! The staff has been incredibly nice and the food was excellent. We are glad that the other restaurant we were going was closed. Ilias who was the person in charge of our table was attentive.

I found it extremely expensive. Changing from white bread to garlic bread was also way too expensive. Calamari wasn't particularly tasty either. Tzaziki, olives and fish rye cream were great.

I ordered food outside the house. A gratinated eggplant, 2 x gyros gratinated and a bifteki gratinated with egg. The quantity was kept rather small but the food was okay. I paid €76 for the quantity, which I think is a bit overpriced. All in all, as already said, quite okay. However, I won't eat there again or order out of the house again.

Köstliches Essen, ein einladendes, helles, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Ambiente. Die Kellner, die uns bis heute bedient haben, sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich. Die Restaurantsinhaberin behält unaufällig Alles im Blick. Eine meiner Freundinnen, die gestern mit dabei war, würdigte dies wörtlich, da sie selbst vom Fach ist. Liebes Athos-Team, bleibt uns erhalten, damit wir viele Jahre von Euch und dem köstlichen Essen schwärmen können. Sie sind "unser Grieche". Sie sind es uns wert nach Pirna zu fahren und Ihr verdient in vielelei Hinsicht eine positive Bewertung zu bekommen. Von meiner Seite aus auch eine Bitte zu entschuldigen, dass wir gestern etwas laut waren. Meine Freundinnen und ich haben uns so zusammen sehr lange nicht gesehen. Wir haben uns einfach so unbeschreiblich wohlgefühlt. Danke, dass wir Euch entdeckt haben.
