Unfortunately, the Laurichhof in Pirna was a disappointment for me - especially because I had chosen it as the culmination of the entire painting trail. I was looking forward to a cozy room and a relaxing sauna session and consciously dug a little deeper into my pockets for this. It was all the more disappointing that the sauna can only be used with prior reservation - which in my case meant that it was already occupied for the entire afternoon. This information was not clear when booking via Booking.com. The staff corresponded more to the classic “East German standard”: objective, not very empathetic and not really service-oriented. A concession or a kind word about your disappointment with the sauna? None. Positive to mention: The food in the hotel was really good, and the service in the restaurant was also impressive - attentive and professional. The rooms are purely a matter of taste - modern, but for me personally they neither feel comfortable nor of high quality. Anyone who likes unusual design will get their money's worth here. Unfortunately for me it didn't deliver the feel-good factor I was hoping for. All in all: Not a bad house, but overall disappointing - especially if you were looking forward to a special experience.

We were there for dinner on Easter Sunday. The staff is very friendly and flexible. Since I didn't like something in the dish and said so when ordering, I was immediately offered another side dish. The rooms are bright and friendly. The prices match the food.

If I could give zero stars, that's what they got. They canceled our reservation 30 minutes before our arrival. We had driven 30 minutes to get there. 2 hours earlier they had written that they were looking forward to seeing us. There was plenty of room in the restaurant when we arrived. It's just bad

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male hier im Gasthaus "Zur Sonne" ... immer wieder ein Genuß! ... aktuell haben wir natürlich auch auf die Spargelgerichte zugegriffen: meine Frau Spargelrisotto mit Gambas und ich Entrecote mit zusätzl. gebratenem Spargel. GENIAL! Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Besuch ... dann mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit auf der Gartenterrasse. WICHTIG: unbedingt vorher reservieren!

A great and busy restaurant where our dog was even allowed in. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There's a great selection of food, and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance is very nice, and you can tell someone put a lot of thought into it. We'd love to come back 😀

Wir kommen nun schon seit Ewigkeiten immer wieder gern hier her und werden jedesmals aufs Neue positiv überrascht. Bedienung wie immer freundlich und zu kleinen Späßen aufgelegt. Essen top und immer frisch und lecker ;-)

The best ambience in Pirna. Elbe steamers and sunset, it couldn't be better. Mega fit service combined with very tasty food and beer from the coast. There is something for every taste. Thank you for a perfect evening.

We were invited here for a birthday. I don't want to say that there was something fundamentally wrong, but I expect more from a 4.7-star restaurant than rustic, home-style food. I missed the sophistication, especially since the price level gives hope for it. The service is friendly and helpful, but warmth and noticeable hospitality only arise if the guest is able to break the ice - or if you are one of the locals or regular guests. I think people here like to eat “among themselves”. It's not a mistake to come here, but you don't have to. Personally, I would rather go somewhere else with friends.
