Great location with the best burgers in town.

Craving a really good burger, or even an exceptional one? Preferably in a cozy atmosphere with super friendly service? Then you've come to the right place! 😉

The burgers aren't for a quick bite; you need to come hungry. We had two Galloway burgers with fries and coleslaw. We reserved online, and despite the Christmas market, it wasn't too crowded or noisy. The Pirna city beer was also good.

Our son wanted to visit Platzhirsch 🦌 for his birthday. Overall, it was okay; the service was initially friendly, but after five minutes it became very rude and annoyed. The fries, however, were fantastic, cooked exactly as they should be. I could imagine even a Belgian finding them very good. The burgers, however, weren't so great. The patties were cooked through, but extremely dry. I initially thought it was just my burgers, but unfortunately, I was wrong. We ordered six burgers in total, and all of them had the same problem. For this reason, I'm only giving it four stars instead of five.

This is probably fine for meat-eaters. However, the vegan version feels like the kitchen is trying to punish you for your diet. Why does a vegan burger, apart from the very dry patty, only contain lamb's lettuce? The sauce was only on the bottom half. Unfortunately, the buns were also extremely dry and didn't help at all.

Gluten-free food was also available - please keep it up, as that's not always a given. One star deducted because on the last visit, the patty in the burger was unfortunately not medium, but almost raw in the middle. They didn't offer a new burger; the patty was fried again and then put on the burger again. Furthermore, one of our orders never arrived, and we had to ask several times. Since it was very busy, we understood this. There was really cool music, but unfortunately, it stopped for the rest of our visit. It was delicious, especially the fries! We'd love to come back!

We had dinner at Platzhirsch and it was super delicious; you can tell that there's something special in every dish.

The food was good and tasty. If the service had been faster, we would have probably had more drinks. Unfortunately, they close at 10 p.m. It feels like something's missing when you come out of the theater at 9:30 p.m. They should be open later, at least on weekends.

This was our first time at Platzhirsch – together with our dog. I really loved that we had a somewhat quieter atmosphere. We had fries and a burger – and it was a dream! It was simply perfect all around. The sweet potato fries were absolutely amazing, as were the truffle mayo and the peppercorn dip. For dessert, we had the pancake, which was also delicious and highly recommended. The service was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance was also simply beautiful and harmonious. We would definitely go again!

We just arrived on vacation, and since I'd kept the Platzhirsch recommendations in mind, we both headed straight there for lunch. The service is first-class, as are the two 🍔 🍔 we enjoyed! Plenty of seating inside and outside. We'll definitely be back and can only recommend Platzhirsch to everyone in Pirna 🤗

Had dinner at Platzhirsch today. Luckily, I didn't have a reservation, but I still got a table. The food was excellent, nothing to complain about. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Personally, I don't understand the reviews. 100% recommended.

We ordered Das Ding and Die Fette Kuh, and both were amazing: juicy meat, perfectly balanced ingredients, and really good buns. You can immediately tell that quality is important here. We were also pleasantly surprised by the portion size: we were definitely full, and at a price that was more than fair for the quality and quantity offered. Another highlight was the service: the waitress was super friendly, attentive, and had a really great sense of humor, which made the evening even more enjoyable. You just feel welcome here. An all-around successful visit for us – we'll definitely be back! Absolutely recommended and well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars!

I haven't had such a good burger in a long time. The Galloway Burger with truffle mayonnaise. "The Thing," a crowd favorite. The meat cooked to perfection. Accompanied by a delicious smoked beer from the local brewery. Our four-legged friends were also warmly welcomed. The service was very attentive and super friendly. This won't be the last time we'll be here.

There are many places to eat in Pirna, but I'm glad we chose this one. The local beer is super - a good draught helles beer. The burgers were also amazing and the lovely staff helped to create a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Having spontaneously departed from the Vienna motorway for Berlin, with plenty of appetite, we were served warmly and with great attentiveness, even though all the tables were reserved and we had unfortunately arrived without notice... And it was absolutely delicious 😋 - we'd love to come back (with a reservation, of course!).

We visited the Platzhirsch as a family and were delighted. It's been four weeks, but the impression has stuck with us because such friendly service is apparently not a given. At least not here in Leipzig. We weren't expecting such gorgeous, delicious burgers and creative dishes in Pirna. Chapeau. I hope I heard the name "Theresa" correctly. We've never been served so friendly and amiably. From pushing the tables together, to patiently advising us on the large selection of delicious drinks, to the friendly encouragement of additional business. I enjoyed the delicious dark beer and gin there and also at home, and I fondly remember the visit. We even ran back to buy the last cup of coffee. Luckily, you also have an online shop.

We'll be repeat customers :) One more comment on other comments here: I absolutely cannot fathom how anyone can rate this restaurant with one star just because there are no more seats available due to the high booking volume. We were looking for something for lunch. The boys ordered the kids' burger. It was just a simple burger. We would have liked 6-8 fries with it, but the men weren't full. My burger was great, and the sweet potato fries were super crispy. Thank you, keep up the good work.

First of all: The food was delicious and superbly prepared. However, we found it very expensive. The fries we ordered with the burger cost about €5, which we found very excessive for the portion size. The children's book for over €12 (drink, burger, 1 scoop of ice cream) didn't even include fries. Not meant negatively, but worth mentioning: The restaurants around here provided coloring sheets and crayons for the kids. Not here...

The staff were super friendly and this is by far the most delicious gluten free burger I've tasted in a while. I didn't expect such food from this town, so I was left very satisfied. Definitely reccomend.

We arrived at 7:40 PM, the restaurant was crowded but not at all full: the waitress at the entrance abruptly sent us away, claiming the restaurant was full... Evidently they don't need to work or they don't like foreigners...

Super delicious burgers, appealing homemade drinks, and a beautiful restaurant with great and fitting decor. You immediately get information about the partners and manufacturers of the products through the "tablecloth." It was super fast, and the service was great and attentive. A quick tip: You need a chip for the restrooms so you don't have to pay €1, and there are no signs indicating this anywhere. I didn't realize it until I was standing in front of the restroom door.

Highly recommended. Certainly not the cheapest burgers, but they're probably among the best. The fries are also second to none. The food is definitely worth the money.

All the staff are very accommodating! All our requests were accommodated, and they even spontaneously cleaned and cleared a table for us. I would give more stars if possible.

Guys, you have to go here if you're in Pirna and you love burgers! We made a reservation online, but apparently that didn't go over well! When we got there, there were only tables outside, even though we had reserved inside! No matter, that doesn't detract from the experience! We ordered the "Das Ding" burger, and I have to say, it lives up to its name! Super tasty and really filling, plus the delicious fries, and you'll go home completely full! The beer is also okay, and the price is right too! Just make sure you make a reservation well in advance; it'll be difficult without one!

The Platzhirsch is centrally located in Pirna, combining modern cuisine with a relaxed beautifully arranged atmosphere and excellent service. Even as a large group at lunchtime, everything was fast and in order. Vegan and gluten-free options are available and very tasty. The burgers are generous, but generally don’t come with sides — these have to be selected and paid for separately. Also noteworthy are the local distillery and brewery specialties, which can be enjoyed on-site or bought as souvenirs. Overall, highly recommended.

We spontaneously arrived at 5 p.m. and got a table, but the place was very busy. Next time, I would make a reservation. The food was delicious and came quickly, the servers were very friendly and accommodating, and the kids especially liked the desserts. A truly great restaurant! Card payments were accepted.

A great discovery for us with two boys. Everything is just right at PLATZHIRSCH: attentive and very friendly service, a very appealing ambiance (I wouldn't have expected this for a burger place), generous and truly delicious burgers, and regional ingredients. A simple dessert order of two scoops of ice cream (very tasty, from a Dresden factory) is transformed into a mini sundae with whipped cream and creative decorations. We thank you for this wonderful experience and would love to come back.

We were on vacation in Saxon Switzerland, and one Tuesday evening we were really craving a burger, so we quickly asked where we could get a good burger, and the first answer was "Platzhirsch." Well, we went there, and what can we say? We asked for a good burger, but what we ate was the perfect burger!!! The service was exceptionally friendly, funny, and incredibly cheerful. It wasn't just that, you really felt at home there. The location was also really beautiful; whether outside or inside, you can sit very relaxed in the old town and really enjoy it. PS: We also ate there the following two days, and every burger I tried was amazing. I will recommend it to all my friends and family if they're ever in the area. KEEP IT UP!!!

Even made us a special request ice coffee. The food was amazing, for the price you get a good quality meet and nice fries. The sweet potato ones very crispy and tasty just as they should be. As part of a bike tour from Dresden to Pirna, we visited the Platzhirsch. What can I say? I ate the best burger ever here. I don't want to indulge in superlatives, but the burger with jalapenos was perfect. Absolutely well-rounded flavor, the spice was present but not overpowering, the meat was cooked to perfection, everything as it should be. Service was attentive and prompt, the beers were on tap. View of the historic market square, see and be seen. I'm happy to give it 5 out of 5

Right in the middle of the square, there's excellent food, even for veggies. The burgers are amazing, the third courses are perfect, and they stay warm until the end. The crème brûlée and the pancake cookies are a feast. Highly recommended. The regional wine was also very tasty.

We wanted to eat there, but couldn't get a table. Several tables were available, but they were reserved for an hour later. They don't care about walk-up customers. Anyone who wants to eat there should probably make a reservation in advance.

Thank you. This was truly the best burger I've ever had in a restaurant, and it was gluten-free. The portions were generous. I practically had two burgers, as the buns were smaller. The fries and coleslaw were also delicious. The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere on the market square in the sunshine was a dream.

Unfortunately (or maybe not), we weren't able to reserve a table for the next day. The bald waiter stubbornly ignored me, probably already claiming the restaurant's name. If you're standing near the counter with a jacket on, maybe you could ask what the (potential) customer wants! Right? They don't seem to need that in this dump. We had a very good meal elsewhere and received very friendly service.
