A great and busy restaurant where our dog was even allowed in. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There's a great selection of food, and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance is very nice, and you can tell someone put a lot of thought into it. We'd love to come back 😀

Since we are losing the Schwindts in Dresden, we went to the Schifftor on recommendation. Great ambience, great menu and very tasty food. There were six of us and we were able to choose across the menu 😀 We'll be back

We had taken a trip to Saxon Switzerland and were looking for a restaurant on the way home. We called about 45 minutes in advance just to be on the safe side and were able to reserve a table outside. We used Google to search, and the outside area was visible there. The restaurant looks very inviting and well-kept. We sat comfortably outside, which is also very inviting and well-kept. And now for the food: there was something for everyone! The food was delicious, the fish absolutely top-notch! The beef rib was tender as butter and tasted amazing! The food was also beautifully presented (as we all know, eating isn't just about the visual aspect)! I had the black halibut and was very satisfied! The salad with mango vinaigrette was truly delicious! The homemade lemonade was tasty and not too sweet, very refreshing! And by now we were actually full, but we still had to try the desserts! Everything here was delicious, too; the warm, freshly prepared rhubarb crumble, the chocolate cake, and the crème brûlée were absolutely our favorite! The staff was friendly and attentive! We felt very comfortable and if we ever pass through Pirna again, we would be happy to stop by the Schifftor again. Thank you for a wonderful culinary treat at the end of our May Day outing!

We spent 4 nights in Pirna and ate at the Schifftor for 2 of them. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had main course and dessert one evening and starter and main course the other. All 4 people really enjoyed it! The menu that you can put together yourself really impressed us. Everything was really wonderfully prepared. We would eat there again every time we are in Pirna.

We have been to this beautiful restaurant several times, whether inside or outside, simply great. The food is simply delicious, you could fool yourself. --> Directions & Parking: - Parking spaces 1-2 minutes' walk are available for a fee - Due to its location, the restaurant does not offer its own parking spaces --> Reservation - We made a reservation the day before (Wednesday for Thurs), the restaurant had enough seats so we were allowed to choose where we wanted. --> Ambiance - Very pleasant and theme-related furnishings - Beautiful decorations decorate the restaurant and the courtyard --> Service - Very courteous service - Very nice staff who care about the well-being of the guests - The drinks were listed at the wrong table. This can happen, but I wouldn't consider it negative. - The waitress professionally corrected the colleague's mistake --> Food & Drink - The greeting from the kitchen was 4 small slices of bread with dip. The dip was something with mayonnaise, I mean, which wasn't really my thing. The bread was delicious. - The main course pollack fillet with our own “ship fries” was excellent. (Various main courses can be combined with a choice of 2 side dishes) - The fish was super tender and juicy, not a single bone and deliciously seasoned. As a side dish the fries were very tasty and crispy. The accompanying dip was also fine. But I preferred to eat the fries without the dip. The second optional side dish 'beans with mustard sauce' was also delicious. - The schnitzel was also very tasty. --> Price & performance - The main courses all cost an average of €17-20. I think the fish dishes are cheap compared to the schnitzel, which also costs just under €20. The price/performance ratio is very good due to the super delicious food! - The beer (Hefeweizen) was very tasty. Tastes similar to the "Zwiefalter" (for all Swabians who read this ;) - Pepsi brand Cola

Very good food, friendly and attentive staff, a great atmosphere

Came for dinner without a reservation. Although there was a table available in the restaurant (just not cleared yet), we were offered a table outside (temperature 12°). We sat there for over 20 minutes until we were allowed to place an order. The neighboring table, which was the only one still occupied in the outdoor area, was not cleared for a long time after the guests had left, which gave us the impression of being second class. After we got the drinks, we were asked whether we were satisfied (we hadn't had the food yet). The food was okay, hamburger panfish with fried potatoes, which weren't crispy, and fried fish with fries, which initially came as fried potatoes. We then paid at the counter in the restaurant because no one came to collect. Again, the impression remains that it wasn't really wanted. There were three waitresses in the restaurant, which was actually quite enough for the number of tables and guests. Maybe it was too cold outside for the waitresses... It's a shame, we were looking forward to a nice evening, but it didn't turn out that way.

We've definitely been here for the 10th time and, as always, the service is super friendly, the food is perfectly adequate and tastes delicious. Every time the ship gate in Pirna gives me a piece of home on the Baltic Sea.

! Please be careful, we are currently still suffering from diarrhea problems and nausea from the salmon sashimi! Hence the slightly worse rating. Overall, it is a very good restaurant, where the starters and main courses as well as the sauces taste outstanding. For starters we had the Asian-style beef tartare and salmon sashimi with teriyaki sauce. For the main course, the fried fish with remoulade and fries. The desserts are “okay”, we had the rhubarb crumble and buttermilk lentils with cinnamon & sugar. For our taste, the dishes tended to be a little sweeter to balance out the acidity of the rhubarb and the slightly bitter cinnamon. The service was very attentive, worked well despite the tight scheduling of reservations on Good Friday and also responded to special requests. However, as mentioned above, the good rating is marred by an upset stomach. While I ate the beef tartare and my wife and sister-in-law the salmon sashimi, they both felt bad the morning after and it lasted the whole day, which unfortunately put a damper on our vacation. The beef tartare didn't cause any problems. Conclusion: Highly recommend the restaurant, avoid the raw starters.

We had dinner here with the family today. The food was fantastic. The ambience and service are outstanding. And all of this at very fair prices. If it weren't so far away for us, we would certainly be here regularly. Our 3 year old son said, "This is the best mashed potatoes in the whole world." ;-) A great restaurant!

The service is just great. Very nice employees. The food, we had fish, was fresh and very tasty. Ambience just great. That's why we immediately booked a table again for Sunday. Keep it up dear team.

Following a spontaneous impulse, we asked for a table on Saturday evening in March and luckily it worked out for us. The service was very friendly, the food was delicious and the waiting time was reasonable. A very nice visit. Top. The only point of criticism for me was that it didn't say that the fried potatoes were with bacon.

I was there with my husband for Valentine's Day. It had been rearranged especially for this evening. There were plenty of tables for 2 people. There were rose petals on every table. You felt completely comfortable. The service was super nice and it tasted really delicious. As we left there was a rose for each woman. Instead of a Pepsi I got a Pepsi Zero. The burger was very tasty. The fried fish was a bit dry, but tasty. The fries were potato chips, but they were ok. The homemade ketchup and the homemade tartar sauce were super delicious. Ambiance very cozy.

Very nice restaurant with a lot of attention to detail. The waitresses are all very friendly. Regardless of the fact that it is a fish restaurant, there are also other dishes. I recommend everyone to stick with fish, it's really good. I ordered the ribs with fried potatoes. They came with fries. After I tried the ribs, they quickly went back into the kitchen - for me they were the worst ribs so far. Then I decided to have the fried fish in a small portion (also with fried potatoes), this time I got mashed potatoes with it... I don't know what it was about that evening, but the experience spoiled my appetite so much that we probably won't come back.

We had been eyeing the fish restaurant for a while now. My wife, who visited it many months ago, first noticed it from the outside when I passed it as part of the Open Farms event. So now it's in the planning stages Called there two days in advance for a birthday party. Nice answering of the phone, table ordered for six people. Of course, read the reviews and the menu beforehand and get a good impression in advance. And this was confirmed at the lunch hour we had planned. Immediately placed, unobtrusive query of course first about the drinks, the “greetings from the kitchen”, then the starters. And then the main courses were served to everyone at the same time. In the meantime, the drinks were supplemented and desserts were served later. It should also be mentioned that the “trainee” also did very well. So all in all, this “birthday lunch” was a lasting experience for everyone involved. The content and form, i.e. the quality of the food and the ambience, were completely consistent. A repeat visit to this restaurant will now only be a matter of time....🍽🍹🍺👍

An absolute favorite of ours in Pirna! Here you can find the best fish far and wide. All dishes are always fresh and super tasty, and the portions are very large. During today's visit, everything was great again, from the friendly service to the delicious food. We always like to come back.

Wow. A lovely surprise. We were looking for a light lunch but were a bit late so used the app to find a place that would serve us after 1400. Guided to this place. Lovely decor and very friendly and professional staff. The menu has, as you would expect in a place called the Schiffstor, an emphasis on seafood and fish, but even for non-fishlovers there is ample choice. We had a salad and the goats‘ cheese followed by a lovely dessert. Can recommend!

We walked through the city late in the morning and stopped behind the large windows because of the appealing ambience. The menu displayed and the friendly welcome from the staff persuaded us to reserve a table for four for the evening. This turned out to be a very good choice: the service was very friendly and accommodating, the food was consistently very good and tasty, and the atmosphere was harmonious and cozy. We can fully recommend a visit here!
