The food was delicious, especially the whole knuckle of pork was impressive. The service was satisfactory, even if you wished for the same service on your second visit. We really enjoyed it here. We dropped in spontaneously and were seated right away. The food was more than plentiful and delicious. The beer was exceptionally good. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The value for money was also excellent! Overall, highly recommended.

Lots of cigarette smoke. It bothered me. I don't smoke and I think there should be designated areas for this. Overall very good food and friendly service.

We were there almost every day for a week. The staff was fantastic, the food was excellent, and the wheat beer was outstanding. We even packed up a 30-liter barrel.

We were very satisfied. It was truly delicious. What surprised us was how quickly the food arrived. The portions were also quite generous. We probably stayed there for two or three hours.

We arrived an hour before our reservation, received a warm welcome, and were allowed to stay. The service was friendly and accommodating. The drinks arrived super quickly, as did the food. I only had a wheat beer there. The service was friendly, but I didn't really like the wheat beer. The restaurant is very popular and very busy in the evenings. There's often live music. Update on February 26, 2022 We've been back several times since 2017, including today. My wife had something with baked roast beef, beans in bacon, and fries. The roast beef was definitely no thicker than 5 mm. For over €24, the value for money wasn't good. But it was very tasty. I, on the other hand, had half a duck with red cabbage and potato dumplings. It was plentiful and delicious. I was even asked if I wanted some sauce; that's a rare occurrence. For me, the price-performance ratio... very good. Update on May 30, 2025 We always come back when we're in Oberstdorf. The food is always delicious. Update on May 31, 2025 Had a roast pork; very, very tasty, and the staff, as always, very, very friendly. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the portions were too small. I had the beer balls. Three small balls and only a handful of potatoes as a side dish. So I left hungry.

Food was very tasty, typical Bavarian menu. The ambience and mood was also very good with live music. We didn't make a reservation, although we got a table after a 10-minute wait on Saturday evening. The waiters are very attentive and quick. Food was there within 5-10 minutes. Beer was also very tasty.

Not recommended. The meat was as dry as autumn leaves that had fallen since last year. The sauce? As thick as fresh forest soil after a rain shower. But luckily the wonderful view made up for it - after all, the eye eats when the palate is already on strike.

Dieser Besuch war ein Volltreffer: Parkplatz im Stadtzentrum direkt hinterm Haus (kostenfrei für Gäste), gemütlicher Gastraum, köstliches und süffiges selbstgebrautes Bier. Das Essen war ebenfalls absolut spitze; wir hatten Spargelcremesuppe, Krustenbraten, Sülze und Kinderkäsespätzle. Abgerundet wurde das Essen durch den schnellen und freundlichen Service. Highlight: Unsere Kinder wollten unbedingt an der Bar sitzen und die (O-Ton unserer Kinder) „beste Kellnerin der Welt“ unterhielt sich nicht nur nett mit ihnen, sondern spendierte auch noch einen „Schnaps“ (Holundersaft mit Birne) aufs Haus aus. Wir waren alle begeistert, in diesem Lokal stimmt einfach alles. So macht Essengehen Spaß!

Hier gibt es Leckeres für Vegetarier und Fleischliebhaber. Das Restaurant ist in (Bus)Bahnhofnähe. Die Käsespätzle sind lecker, aber sehr buttrig. Mehr Käse wäre gut! Die Preise sind in Ordnung und das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Everything used to be better in the Dampfbierbrauerei. You didn't have to make a reservation. You could sit wherever you wanted. A great home brewery! We got a great tour from Franz, it was really fun and worth a trip. The beer and white sausages are also great. I will definitely come back.

As a Canadian from British Columbia travelling to my wife place of childhood, we’ve been enjoying Bavarian cuisine the past 2 weeks. I can say with 100% that Oberstorfer Dampfbiebrauerei has been the best to date! The Brauerei Haxenteller was simply one of the tastiest meals I can ever recall having. So much flavour and the beer.. well it’s the icing on the cake. Wunderbar!

A successful conclusion... Stopped in spontaneously, got a place for 6 people and very nice, reliable waitresses. On top of that, there was also live music. If it was too loud for you, you could go into the next room, where the music was streamed live at a much more comfortable volume. The beer was a dream as was the food…

The atmosphere is rustic and typical of a brewery. We didn't have a reservation and were told to sit at the bar. After asking and waiting for a short time, we were given a table for an hour. The food came quite quickly, but it was only lukewarm. Due to the short time we were unable to complain. The half knuckle with red cabbage and dumplings would have been delicious if it had been heated properly. When we had finished eating, the service told us that we could now stay longer. The beer tastes excellent

Spontaneously dropped by with a dog and got a spot straight away (Sunday afternoon). The knuckle was world class, our best so far! Service quick and friendly. Cozy atmosphere, sometimes with live music. We can recommend it.

Haxe was, I would say, it works. Service was not friendly, we were put under time pressure, the table would be refilled in 59 minutes. I don't need it anymore.

Leider geb es bis kurz nach 19.15 Uhr keine Livemusik, obwohl vor dem Lokal eine Tafel aufgestellt war, dass ab 18 Uhr die Musik spielt. Bei meinen drei Knödeln habe ich mich hungrig gegessen :( das ist keine Hauptspeise, sondern eine Vorspeise! Auch war es sehr voll, und dadurch ungemütlich, obwohl ich reserviert hatte. Wir hatten bei Ihnen schon wirklich tolle Abende erlebt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich!!! Wahrscheinlich werden wir uns nächstes Mal bei Ihnen nicht mehr sehen lassen.

Riesiges Gasthaus welches eher einer Eventgastronomie gleich kommt. Sehr viele Menschen die eben auch einen gewissen Lautstärkepegel haben. Das Essen war gut und lecker aber nicht umwerfend. Kässpätzle hatten fast keinen Köse, dem Beilagensalat sah man an, dass er schon den ganzen Tag auf seinen Aufritt gewartet hat. Schade!

Wonderful brewery, great, rich and delicious food. I had ordered a test package in advance, found it delicious and in the brewery itself it tasted even better. It smells of beer, brewing kettles in the middle of the restaurant. I was absolutely thrilled at the brewery last week. Staff are always in a great mood and also professional. Was really surprised Everyone has to go there and see for themselves. I'm looking forward to the beer hotel.

Nice location and above all very good beer. You should definitely visit. However, it has the character of an industrial processing facility. Two-hour reservation slots will be allocated. Everything must be completed during this time. Spare ribs for 22.90 euros were good. Allgäuer Kässpatz ́n * for 14.90 euros were satisfactory. The warm apple strudel for 8.90 euros was very good. Overall, the ambience doesn't fit a cozy brewery restaurant. However, the beer alone is worth the visit. Reservation required.

We had made a reservation on Saturday for Thursday (tonight). Food with live music. We were only allowed in at 7:30 PM and could choose from a table for 2 at the back or at the long table at the front, near the music. We chose the long table. When we get there tonight we are taken to a different table. Further away with your back to the music. When we said that we had already reserved a table at the front on Saturday, we were told that those people had probably already booked that table a year ago. It was this table or not. So not. We went to our Italian neighbors for dinner. No nice music, but pleasant and friendly staff.

Simply delicious and classy. The atmosphere is rustic, the waitresses are in a good mood. Ivan is a blast and the food is highly recommended. The prices are still reasonable and you don't get ripped off like in other restaurants with their utopian prices.

The two of us came spontaneously and after a short wait at the entrance we were given a nice seat. Super fast service and great food. The two of us ate the “whole knuckle for when you’re really hungry” with some extra fries. However, they were ultimately unnecessary because the pork portion was really powerful. We'll definitely come back here next time we're in Fischen.

Wow, what a great end to a week of skiing holiday in Oberstdorf. Live music, friendly and fast service. Were there as a group of 7 people. All dishes were super tasty and plentiful. The beer tasting according to the menu was also good, so we knew what to order as a measure. A good, hearty evening. Thanks to the whole team there. We rounded off the evening with schnapps and dessert. Prices are completely okay.

A very large restaurant with a typical Bavarian menu. It was very busy on Friday evening, but still super fast service and attentive staff. Even without a reservation you have a chance of getting a table, but then you have to be there a little before the evening rush hour.

The place is incredible, mysterious streets. This is a ski resort, each hotel is different from its neighbor. I have been to many cities in Germany, this city is unlike anything else. I want to visit here in the spring and walk the hiking route. This time we were with my youngest son .We climbed the cable car to a height of 1932 m. The tickets are not cheap, but it is worth it. We have not seen so much snow for a long time .The Alps in winter are incredible
