A very nice inn, not as huge as some others but all the more cozy. We'd gladly come again.

Fantastic living room evening (a sing-along concert)! We happened to be there for dinner on a date that included music – the owner sang and played guitar, lyrics were handed out beforehand, and everyone was welcome to join in. A wonderful way to combine delicious food with a sense of community through music. Go! We highly recommend it 😍

We came for dinner, the food was very nice and delicious

(Visited on January 4, 2026) We had lunch here after a day trip to Bamberg from Nuremberg. My husband and I ordered the Franconian Meal Pan, which came with sausages, bread, and salad, and the Probier Set, which included five beers for tasting. After tasting, we also ordered the Spezial Larger Rauchbier, a smoked beer that was the most delicious. The beer was delicious, but the sausages were a bit too salty. The owner was very friendly, and the view of Bamberg from the window was perfect for warming up on a cold winter day.

Beautiful restaurant. Very unassuming from the outside, but absolutely lovely inside. The service was exceptionally good from beginning to end. Very attentive and extremely friendly. Drinks and food arrived very quickly. We had one roast pork with crackling and two cordon bléu. I've never had such a good roast pork with crackling. The crackling was incredibly crispy, the meat melted in your mouth, and the beer sauce was a perfect complement. The dumplings and savoy cabbage rounded off the dish perfectly. Absolutely delicious. The cordon bléu was very tender, the cheese and ham inside were perfectly balanced. Nothing overpowered the other flavors; they complemented each other beautifully. The fries are homemade, and you can definitely taste the difference. For dessert, we had cheesecake. What can I say? I was so pleasantly surprised to find the cheesecake was warm. It reminded me of my childhood, when we always had warm cheesecake. Please keep up the great work and stay just the way you are. Great group. If we're ever in Bamerg again, we'd love to come by again.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get in with a wheelchair because, contrary to what Google says, there's no wheelchair access. There's a step up at the door and two more steps down inside. Edit: Thanks for the reply and the information that a portable ramp is available. I'm glad to hear there's a solution. A sign at the entrance would be great; otherwise, people wouldn't even consider coming in. -> Adjusted to 4 stars.

Everything beer; food was good but the meat was slightly overcooked. The cabbage served as a side was delicious.

We were very pleased with our visit. Although we hadn't made a reservation, we were seated immediately. The food was delicious overall – we highly recommend the Cordon Bleu and the schnitzel. The Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) tasted good, but were far too heavy on the cream for our liking – one of our regular tablemates felt the effects of it all evening. The service was very friendly and attentive, and we also enjoyed the beer. The location is nice, although the dining area feels a bit like a cafeteria – it could perhaps be made a little more inviting. All in all, though, a very successful visit, and we'd love to come back!

A really cozy beer hall right in the heart of Bamberg, next to the Old Town Hall. We received a super friendly welcome, even though we only wanted to have a drink at lunchtime. The team is young, attentive, and incredibly friendly. You just feel right at home. The atmosphere is relaxed, the smoked beer is freshly tapped, and the dishes we saw at the neighboring tables looked absolutely delicious. We'll definitely eat there next time. We'll gladly come back! 🍻

Great place! We were there as tourists and tried the 5-pack of miniature beers – 3 out of 5 were absolutely top-notch, the rest was purely a matter of taste. Great atmosphere, chilled-out crowd, and the dumpling fries are 10/10. Highly recommended! 🍻

Great restaurant for drinks and food, and to sit outside and enjoy. It's actually self-service outside, but the friendly server came to our table when it wasn't busy. Completely satisfied, and we'll definitely be back on our next trip to Bamberg :)

My brief impressions: There's room for improvement here. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, we had a table in the passageway. It's cold, drafty, and loud in there, and behind your back you can smell the smell of the toilets, which are below the passageway. After the entrance there's a kind of stand-up snack bar with a dartboard. It's accordingly loud in here, and the door to the outside opens and closes a lot, bringing with it noise and cold air. Not what you want for a cozy dinner with friends. The food was average at best. The salad was fresh, but the dressing, if you can call it that, was bland and unimaginative. I didn't like the consistency of the fries at all; they were soggy on the inside, and combined with the sachets of mustard and mayo that came with the plate, it had more the charm of a simple bistro. The Cordon Bleu was good, but a slightly better, spicier cheese would have been good. The beer is also good, although the house-made BRO beer didn't blow me away. But you can also order a special here, so it's all good... It's a shame... we had hoped for more based on the mostly positive reviews. The second star was awarded due to the very pleasant and friendly service from the consistently young team. Thanks again for that.

Unfortunately, there were no seats available outside when we arrived. After a brief, very friendly chat with the waiter, we walked around the restaurant again. We returned about 15 minutes later – and at that very moment a table became available. Although a couple was already waiting, the waiter recognized us immediately and showed us the table. Very attentive! The drinks arrived quickly, and the homemade lemonade was truly refreshing. One small glitch: After ordering our drinks, the waiter simply forgot to ask about the food. When we made ourselves known, he was genuinely surprised, but took it with charming humor, so the little mishap was quickly forgotten. The food itself was excellent: one Wiener Schnitzel and one Cordon Bleu – both very tasty. The only downside: the fries were quite soft and soggy, but still tasty. The overall atmosphere is super pleasant, almost informal. We were particularly impressed by the thoughtful details in the restrooms: tampons, sanitary pads, deodorant, and hand cream – that's a rare find and shows that everything has been thought of here. Conclusion: A great restaurant with friendly service, delicious food, and a truly pleasant atmosphere. There were a few minor flaws with the fries and the occasional service drop-off, but overall, it's absolutely recommended.

We had delicious vegan currywurst and vegan bratwurst with sauerkraut for lunch today, both absolutely delicious! The non-alcoholic beer was also excellent. Plus, very friendly service in a modern-traditional brewery in Bamberg's beautiful old town! If you're passing through like we were, you should definitely stop here; the short detour off the highway is well worth it! Many thanks to the friendly and highly competent Brüderla team!

Beautiful place in a prime location right by the fountain. It's a decent place. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh. The fries were homemade. A bit too greasy for me. But that's subjective. The service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Tip: The mustard dressing is delicious, but don't just put it on top, but on the whole salad. ;)

We reserved a table here for dinner. The reservation was made in the beautifully decorated interior of this wonderful, quaint, yet modern inn. The service team was super friendly and attentive, and the dishes we ordered were absolutely top-notch. And the beer we ordered was delicious, straight from the house. We'd love to come back.

The food was good; we had the Cordon Bleu and the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). The Käsespätzle was excellent, as was the meat. The fries were rather poor, too crispy and tasted rather burnt. Portions are okay. Staff is friendly, a bit pushy when ordering and paying. Customers are a bit rude; you fight for a seat. It's a shame, though. We called to make a reservation, but they told us to just drop by. We then had to wait 20 minutes for a seat. The beer was interesting, similar to an Irish beer.

The cordon bleu I had was very good. Their red beer was also excellent. Definitely worth a try. The atmosphere was nice.

It was very hot that day, so we didn't want anything warm, so we opted for sausage salad, a side salad, and a salad plate. I expected more from the salad plate for €15.90. A handful of lettuce, a bit of tomato, a touch of grated cucumber and radish. The dressing felt like it was just on a lettuce leaf. Next time I'll order two side salads, so I'll get more of it, and it's cheaper, too. The service was very attentive and the ambiance pleasant. It's just a shame we couldn't get a seat outside.

Very good service. The roast was wonderfully crispy, the sauce was unfortunately almost cold, and a little more salt wouldn't have hurt. The gray concrete surroundings are made a little more bearable by the lush vegetation. All in all, a clear recommendation.

The Brüderla is highly recommended – very good food, friendly and prompt service, and a lovely ambiance. We sat outside in perfect weather, but the dining room inside also looked very appealing and cozy.
