The beer and ambiance were very good. The food was also delicious, except for the Cordon Bleu, which was raw.

My request was ignored, and the vegan currywurst was absolutely bland. A nightmare for vegans.

The food was good; we had the Cordon Bleu and the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). The Käsespätzle was excellent, as was the meat. The fries were rather poor, too crispy and tasted rather burnt. Portions are okay. Staff is friendly, a bit pushy when ordering and paying. Customers are a bit rude; you fight for a seat. It's a shame, though. We called to make a reservation, but they told us to just drop by. We then had to wait 20 minutes for a seat. The beer was interesting, similar to an Irish beer.

Beautiful location, both inside and outside. The food is good. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside by the small town pond.

The Brüderla in Bamberg is highly recommended! 🍺 The beer tastes wonderfully fresh, full-bodied, and exactly as you'd expect in Franconia. The food is also perfect: regional specialties, lovingly prepared and of the highest quality. I'd especially like to highlight the service – very friendly, attentive, and always courteous. The cordon bleu I had was very good. Their red beer was also excellent. Definitely worth a try. The atmosphere was nice.

It was very hot that day, so we didn't want anything warm, so we opted for sausage salad, a side salad, and a salad plate. I expected more from the salad plate for €15.90. A handful of lettuce, a bit of tomato, a touch of grated cucumber and radish. The dressing felt like it was just on a lettuce leaf. Next time I'll order two side salads, so I'll get more of it, and it's cheaper, too. The service was very attentive and the ambiance pleasant. It's just a shame we couldn't get a seat outside.

Very good service. The roast was wonderfully crispy, the sauce was unfortunately almost cold, and a little more salt wouldn't have hurt. The gray concrete surroundings are made a little more bearable by the lush vegetation. All in all, a clear recommendation.

The Brüderla is highly recommended – very good food, friendly and prompt service, and a lovely ambiance. We sat outside in perfect weather, but the dining room inside also looked very appealing and cozy.

Unfortunately, we can't share the positive reviews of the food. The roast pork was reheated and not seasoned. The savoy cabbage was probably also reheated and didn't taste good to us. The dumplings were lukewarm. Tastes differ, but this was not good quality at all. You can eat very well in Bamberg, but that wasn't the case at Brüderla. Also, no one cleared the plates, even though it wasn't busy. It's a shame, because the restaurant is actually very nice.

It's a shame, actually a great place in the heart of Bamberg. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. A simple change from spaetzle to fries wasn't possible, and the side dish was a simple and tasteless salad (comment: we'll pass this on to the kitchen). Only half of the draft beer selection remained because it wasn't available. Dear Brüderla team, you could do better.

Yes. We had cordon bleu. We had fries or potato salad. Except for the fries, the food was delicious. The fries were homemade, but unfortunately, they were far too greasy. I recommend eating locally, but I'd recommend the potato salad.

How lucky we were to get a seat there. We really enjoyed the super-friendly staff and the modern brewery atmosphere. Delicious food, very good beer...and again, thanks to the incredibly dedicated team who, despite the packed house, kept a calm eye on things and ensured we had an unforgettable evening.

The food is delicious. Typical Franconian cuisine with generous portions and fair prices. The service is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant offers a great view of the old town hall and the Regnitz River. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

Although the food was delicious and the service very friendly, we immediately felt very sick after the visit. We felt so nauseous that we started throwing up. Probably food poisoning. So, unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

Great location, great food and reasonable price for the location. We enjoyed our meal and you can feel the love in the food, not just the prospect of making money. Maybe someone will miss a wider range of dishes, but the banana beer is great!

There were four of us for dinner: two roast pork, a turkey schnitzel, and a cordon bleu. The roast pork was underseasoned, the potato salad had no salt and a very odd consistency, and the savoy cabbage wasn't seasoned at all. The other dishes were okay. After consulting the very friendly staff, we were given a free drink. Thank you for that! Otherwise, it's in the heart of the city, quaint and cozy.

Great restaurant with delicious, home-style cooking and good value for money. The menu isn't long, but there's certainly something for every taste, including vegetarians and vegans. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to special requests. A funny but also delicious idea: try the "Brüderla Krügla" :-)

Unfortunately, the vegan menu has been reduced. There's no longer any meatloaf or potato salad. We had vegan currywurst with fries, but the fries were unfortunately really soft and quite greasy. The curry sauce was good, as was the cabbage and bread with my vegan bratwurst. Service was friendly and attentive, and the beer selection was delicious.

Great food, nice atmosphere, not very accommodating service. They announce that you're coming in a group, all of which are announced in advance, but after an hour they tell you that they're no longer serving alcoholic drinks. We're obviously in a pub and didn't get drunk. The way it's written here makes it hard to believe, of course, but it's true. (I've seen English pubs in the past.) You're warned from the start to be quiet. Honestly, that's nonsense, they weren't in the mood to deal with us. Greetings✌️

At first, we have to admit we were a bit skeptical because the fries looked like sweet potato fries, but in the end, we were proven wrong. The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff was very attentive and incredibly friendly. We'd love to come back 💪🏻

A friendly team that attentively attends to guests. Even when the restaurant is full, the service is smooth and fast. Prices are absolutely reasonable, and the beer is extremely tasty. The schnitzel and cordon bleu were very good. The meat was tender and flavorful, not over-seasoned, and not too greasy. Unfortunately, the homemade French fries were a different story. Dark, greasy, and totally soft and mushy. Unfortunately, they weren't enjoyable. Even the wait staff's explanation that they're made from raw potatoes didn't help. You expect crispy and juicy French fries. That's a matter of taste, of course, but it probably felt that way for several guests, as we noticed that many guests in the restaurant left plenty of fries left over when clearing up. There's definitely room for improvement here.

The atmosphere at Brüderla is, of course, top-notch! The food came quickly, and while the selection wasn't exactly typical Franconian, it was okay. The waiter asked us to keep our voices down... Sorry, when there are ten of us and the place is full, the conversation gets a bit loud. I'm not sure what to say.

A traditional Franconian inn with great beers. Modern yet classic decor. Here you can enjoy good beers, classic Franconian food, and simply have a good time. Service is always attentive and friendly. Our dog had a great time here, too.

Very nice, modern restaurant with good service. But unfortunately, the food was anything but good. The meat was very poorly heated (in both dishes). I had spare ribs from the daily special, which were very watery and only lukewarm, and with very little meat.

Very nice location. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The hut was packed, so the food took a little longer to arrive—but that didn't bother us because we had plenty of time. The food was delicious. There was a huge bowl of water for our dogs. Dogs are welcome here.

Wow! Great luck finding this spot. After walking down the famous street full of overcrowded breweries and overpriced food, we noticed this small unpretentious venue serving flights of beers, so we stopped and grabbed a table out front. Huda waited on us. She was awesome. I'm not usually very impressed with service in Germany, but she is exceptional. Prompt, professional, and friendly. We shared a Bratwurst plate and schnitzel, both of which were great. I loved their beers too, especially the Weissbier.

A cozy restaurant with exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The food was okay. For the salad, given its price, we would have preferred a better dressing and no salad (open the bag and you're done). Even though there was still some tomato on it, the thick pieces of the stalk weren't suitable for a salad. The homemade fries were very dark, but tasty.

We ordered a crusty roast and a schnitzel. The food was on the table a few minutes later. It was lukewarm and tasted like it had been reheated. It was probably kept warm for a long time. The roast pork was tough and the schnitzel was dry. After 4-5 hours we got a severe stomach flu. One can only speculate about the connection. We've never had such bad local food before. Very unfortunate.

Very nice staff, food was ok too. Unfortunately no homemade potato salad. Beer selection is great, with its own ProBier offer. It's expensive for wine drinkers here - 0.2l for €6.40, which is really awesome for me, but you're supposed to drink the beer. If the wine were a little cheaper, I would come more often because of the ambience and the friendly staff.

We were here with friends on a Friday evening. What can I say, very pleasantly surprised. We had made a reservation, which was necessary, the restaurant was very busy. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our place. Within a very short time the menu was at the table and shortly afterwards the drinks were at the table. The schnitzel and the fries were really great, I've rarely had a better meal, big praise for the kitchen. The dessert also came quickly, but unfortunately it was a bit too sweet in my opinion. We were asked 3 times during our stay whether everything was okay or whether we wanted to order anything else. The whole thing is not intrusive, but very subtle. All in all a great visit, with good beer and good food. Big extra praise to the service and the kitchen, keep it up. We'll definitely be back.

We sat outside very nicely and the service was super nice. Unfortunately, the meat pan and chicken breast salad were not convincing.

That was nothing for us! I ordered the crusted roast and asked if it was two dumplings. I was told they could add one extra, I ended up with 3 as two are standard. The woman could have said it directly. Well, you could have saved yourself the third dumpling because it didn't taste good! It wasn't a real consistency, it was brutally floury and mushy and didn't taste like anything. The crusty roast was perhaps just not my cup of tea, but it was EXTREMELY greasy, no comparison with a Schäufala. Much more finished again. There were also individual pieces of bone on the edge. Very unsavory. My girlfriend had a salad with turkey and that was the cherry on top. There was a huge lack of salt, and above all, it was greasy. They have a lot of fat in the restaurant. It wasn't olive oil but some other oil and there was plenty of it on it. We searched in vain for the balsamic dressing we ordered. The tomato was in the fridge for at least 6 days, but that could be due to the Easter holidays. all in all never 4.6 stars.

Great beer, very friendly staff and great food in a top location. Here you are always in the middle of the action and right next to the old town hall bridge. As a little tip: If the bridge is very busy and people are queuing for a drink, you can always get something to-go here for a reasonable price a few meters away.
