Were very disappointed with the service! If you don't drive up in your Porsche you will receive secondary service. If you order an Irish BBQ Short Rip and get a Tafelspitz (soup meat), that's it...! Starter was very good! You had to refill your own wine even though the service stopped by a few times, poor picture! A complaint is a second chance...which unfortunately was not used!

We arrived rather late after driving from Venice and this place was a real treat. The service was quick, and kind and they were flexible in providing reduced portions for our kids that do not eat that much. I had the Pork Belly with kimchi, and it was amazingly good. I would return again if I were in Bamberg.

We went there on the recommendation of friends and absolutely loved it. The price level is a little higher, the food, service and ambience match the prices. The vitello tonnato, short ribs and pasta with chanterelles were particularly tasty. Fine food in a relaxed atmosphere for the level. Absolute recommendation for a special evening!

It was our first time at Vita in Bamberg and we were simply thrilled. The food was excellent across the board. We had vitello as a starter and pasta with black tiger prawns and ravioli with braised meat filling in nut butter as our main course. Rounded off with a perfect strawberry cheesecake with hazelnut crumble and elderflower. Apart from the very good food, the service was also a dream. Absolute recommendation. We are really looking forward to our next visit in August :)

I think this restaurant is just amazing! Been there twice, once in winter (there is risotto on the menu), once in summer. - Food: The food is really very creative and unusual, very tasty and always worth several stories to tell your friends afterwards. It wants to go in the direction of star cuisine, and the direction is right. - Service: I only give four points for the service: The employees are very friendly, attentive and nice, but sometimes the style suffers, which really doesn't have to be stiff, but a bit more upscale than I experienced in the summer. When ordering the wine, the service employee said she had to ask the sommelier, and then a wine came without any consultation. Unfortunately that doesn't work. - Ambiance: The ambience is great, we sat once outside and once inside, and felt comfortable both times. Fantastic flavors & we made sure to save room for dessert - Sophiee had recommended the cheesecake with crumbles & strawberries- we tried to eat it very slowly- the BEST! what a wonderful experience & perfect meal for our last evening in this stunning city.

We were in Bamberg at Vita for the second time exactly a year after my review below and this time everything was really perfect. THE SERVICE AND ALSO THE FOOD. We felt very comfortable now. That's why I'm changing the star rating to 5 stars and hope that our experience from last year will never be repeated again. Outdated rating: First of all: The rating only refers to the service. We cannot rate the food because we left the restaurant beforehand. The service staff was completely overwhelmed. Our reservation was initially not found. We waited 15 minutes for the menu The waitress didn't clean up the water from the carafe that was spilled, etc. We're used to something different from a restaurant in this price range. The whole thing caused us to leave the restaurant before ordering.

Unfortunately a bit disappointing, we expected more. The service was very nice, just a bit too over-committed. Questions asked too often and cutlery changed too frequently. The food was ok but unfortunately not more than that. Some things didn't look appealing (everything was covered in beige foam...). What was missing was something special and passion.

A skillful modern cuisine with French and Mediterranean influences. There is also a restaurant manager who, if you wish, can act as a sommelier and skilfully accompany you through the varied wine list. The ambience is clean and modern and doesn't steal the show from the food. What's on the plate here pampers the palate and is just plain fun. I can't understand all the reviews that pick on the prices - anyone who works with fresh, regional and high-quality products can hardly offer them at a bargain price. If you are looking for a culinary highlight, Fabio Galizia and his team have come to the right place!

Hi, we were at Vita today and were warmly welcomed and served! Unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations, which was a real disappointment given such a price range. The evening cost us €200, which is unfortunately very exaggerated.....REALLY BAD

First of all: the young people in service are super committed, relaxed and very friendly. But unfortunately they have no idea how fine dining works, starting with the hectic, constant change of cutlery - everything is set once and only one piece of cutlery is removed before eating. Dear Vita Bamberg team, you have to take two hours and teach them thoroughly, assume they are students in service, in any case they haven't learned it. Secondly, the food: unfortunately often tasteless and carelessly prepared, to the point of being a visual disaster. Michelin cuisine is different and the star should no longer be awarded in 2024. Unfortunately, far too expensive for the cuisine on offer! I'm disappointed and I'm going to delete you from my 'I want to go there' list.

Here you can let yourself be pampered The food was absolutely heavenly. Very interesting, exciting Italian cuisine. Absolutely perfectly prepared and presented. The service is very friendly, reliable, you feel very well treated. The ambience is less traditionally Italian and more modern, although it still has an Italian touch. Not least because of the wine bottles ;). It's definitely very pretty to look at and makes you feel good while eating it. Of course it costs a few euros, but it's all definitely worth the price because the overall package fits together perfectly and you get the best possible care. At least I don't regret a cent I left there. Absolutely the warmest recommendation for fans of fine Italian cuisine.

Leider hat das Restaurant meine sachliche Kritik bei Google löschen lassen.. Ich gehe davon aus, dass das nicht nur bei mir der Fall war und man sich auf die Rezensionen leider nicht verlassen kann.. Nun versuche ich hier nochmal mein Glück, meine Erfahrungen zu teilen: Wir waren zu viert im Vita essen, zwei von uns hatten direkt im Anschluss mit starken Magenbeschwerden zu kämpfen, teilweise mit mehrfachem Erbrechen. Ich habe per Mail darauf hingewiesen, worauf nach einiger Zeit auch reagiert wurde. Es wurde jedoch eher als extrem unwahrscheinlich dargestellt, man könne sich das nicht erklären und hoffe "beim nächsten Besuch überzeugen zu können". Natürlich wird es keinen nächsten Besuch geben. Wirklich schade, wir hatten uns sehr auf hochwertiges Essen gefreut, da wir dies sehr schätzen. In einer solch hochpreisigen Küche darf so etwas einfach nicht vorkommen. Natürlich habe ich auch überlegt, ob es eine andere Erklärung für unsere Beschwerden geben könnte, leider ist es jedoch recht eindeutig auf unsere Speisen in dem Lokal zurückzuführen. Ich hoffe, Andere haben mehr Glück und Freude am Besuch dieses Restaurants.

Best restaurant in Bamberg very good wine list!!!

We were warmly welcomed and attentively looked after throughout our visit. Service is good. However, the food is too weak or too expensive for what it wants to be. Truffle spaghetti was careless on the plate and too soaked in butter. The crustacean risotto was okay, but too little in terms of mass and overall composition. Signature steak with truffle, port wine jus and celery puree tasted good, but given the price of €41 it must have. Beyond Good and Evil. I left a total of over €100, so I could go to a Michelin star restaurant and be blown away more. Background to this review: It is actually 3 years old but the owner recently decided to have numerous dissatisfied reviews deleted with the help of a lawyer. So does mine. I hereby reduce my well-intentioned 3 stars to 1.

Wenn ein Rosso di Montalcino (sehr gut von Caparzo) über 40 € kostet (so um 15 im Endverbrauer Einkauf). Macht der Gastronom KEIN Geschäft. Ein Bier, bitte!

We went into the Vita with pretty high expectations. Friends have spoken very highly of this restaurant. We had the 5 course menu twice for 129 euros per person plus the wine accompaniment once for 40 euros. With water etc. we ended up with a total of over 350 euros. When paying, the wine accompaniment was suddenly 11 euros more expensive. This was corrected immediately after we said it. But that shouldn't happen at this price. The quality of the food was very good. Unfortunately the service didn't match it at all. After each course the cutlery was brought new, which became slightly annoying after the 2nd course. We know from other very good restaurants that the cutlery is completely arranged when you order. But the service staff were very nice. The other guests were e.g. T. also very strange. The highlight was a guest who took off his shoes and - judging by his behavior - felt like he was at home on the couch. We checked it out but will not visit this restaurant again. It's a shame, but there's definitely still room for improvement!

The 3 stars are due to the price-performance ratio. The food is undoubtedly good but not what you would expect given the prices.

The beef fillet was terrific, the best quality meat, perfectly fried, juicy and tender - it couldn't be better. There was nothing to criticize about the other dishes either (except that the turbot could have been fried a little less). Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio - especially for the starters - is not good.

EDIT: so it seems vita has responded to my review. They mention a couple of points which Id like to address. First off they state costs are going up and accuse me of using "discounted business lunch offers from colleagues". Id like to point out I do not review company paid dinners and compared them to Michelin star Restaurants in Germany that were located in larger more expensive cities, which I also reviewed. Furthermore this visit I paid for the dinner for me and my friend and am more than willing to upload a receipt. As I said their staff wasn't bad but simply not interested, nothing more nothing less. As for the food poisoning this is my experience, My account is full of reviews for reputable establishments and high end cuisine I don't see the need to lie. THE DATE ISSUE: The owner says I did not review the place till later on. Unfortunately I have been busy with work and travels and have not had time, I take detailed notes of all the high end restaurants I eat at. The exact date I ate here was July 4th 2023, I stayed in Bamberg for 2 days. You can see on my account that I have only recently reviewed a number of places all around Germany, including in Bamberg. Also on that account you can see various Michelin star restaurants and high end establishments globally that I have accurately reviewed. My review for Vita remains the same I do not review based on external factors. The review for the owner however is 0 stars, snarky and rather presumptuous. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will say that Vita Bamberg was a interesting visit. The servers were nice and attentive but did not seem very interested. The Ambiance: The Restaurant is situated in a quite cove of Bamberg making it a nice place to eat dinner. We tried a number of the dishes and while some were well plated others were an attempt to plate. The food was okay, there was nothing notable about the dishes. My experience here ended in food poisoning. This was unfortunate considering the exorbitant pricing they charged. The vast majority of Michelin restaurants I have been to charge less per dish than Vita. Overall I would not recommend dining here. Your experience may be different but unfortunately mine was quite poor. The Restaurant redeems some points in ambiance and cleanliness but the food poisoning and well above market pricing means I would not recommend it.

Fabio Galizia has turned the small restaurant on Obere Sandstrasse in Bamberg into a place to enjoy and feel good. With his cuisine he manages to create an interesting arc of tension between classic and creatively modern. To do this, he processes excellent products into conventional and vegetarian dishes. The connection to the region is partly reflected in the well-thought-out wine list, which is excellently complemented by sommelier Anja Körber. Other European influences, such as those from his time in Switzerland, also find their way here.

Zugegeben sind wir gerne im Restaurant Vita in Bamberg, aber das hat seinen guten Grund: Patron Fabio Galizia schafft es mit seinem Küchenteam immer wieder wunderbare Gerichte zu zaubern. Ob Klassiker, gehobene Küche - heute sagt man Fine Dining dazu - oder auch "nur" Nudeln. Die Gerichte sind handwerklich perfekt gekocht, und die Küche, aber auch die Tellersprache zeigt klar Fabio's jahrelange harte Schule in der Sterne-Gastronomie. Abgerundet wird das Erlebnis durch den unaufdringlich-perfekten Service der Restaurantleiterin und Sommelier Anja Körber und ihrem Team. Besonders zu erwähnen, waren die Gänselebervariation - eine wunderbare Kombination auf Terrine und Eis mit einem perfekten Brioche, aber auch die gebeizte Eirmeer-Lachsforelle mit Variation der Roten Beete. Eine unglaubliche Geschmackstiefe hatte die Bisque mit Kaisergranat und Baby-Artischocke. Ein großes Dankeschön aber hat ein heute scheinbar leider vergessener Klassiker verdient, den Fabio Galizia mit einer unglaublichen Leichtigkeit und gleichzeitigen Geschmacksfülle servierte: Kalbsrahm-Beuscherl mit einem Parmesan-Tortelloni. Es kann nur jedem empfohlen werden, dieses Gericht im Vita zu probieren. Rundum ein wieder einmal perfektes Verwöhnerlebnis - Danke an das gesamte tolle Team!

Hier stimmte einfach alles, Preis, Leistung, Ambiente und Service. Die Weinbegleitung ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, die Wahl war stets passend zu den Speisen. Unbedingt einen Tag Bierpause in Bamberg einplanen und vorher Platz reservieren. Das Restaurant ist gut besucht und hat einige Spezialitäten zu bieten. ☆☆☆ Kartenzahlung ist möglich, die Toilette ist sauber und geräumig. Für kleine Kinder und deren Eltern ist es vermutlich nicht so geeignet, weil das Menü z.B. mehrere Stunden gedauert hat. Ob Kleinstkinder so lange ruhig sitzenbleiben? Ich glaube, eher nicht. Wir haben spontan einen Tisch reserviert und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Speisen waren außergewöhnlich und sehr gut. Als Vorspeise wählten wir Burrata und Rindertartar. Der Zwischengang bestand aus gefüllten Ravioli. Als Hauptspeise wählten wir Kaninchen Paccheri und Taglioni Trüffel.zum Nachtisch gab es Haselnusseiscreme und Tiramisu. Bei den Weinen ist für jeden Geschmack etwas zu finden. das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut stimmig. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt gerne wieder.

Es ist ein Ort, an dem man sich sofort wohl und willkommen fühlt. Der Service im Vita verdient ebenfalls höchstes Lob. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Sie waren stets bereit, Empfehlungen auszusprechen und auf individuelle Wünsche einzugehen. Der Service war effizient, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein, und trug somit zu einem rundum angenehmen Erlebnis bei. Alles in allem kann ich das Vita in Bamberg uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Mit seiner hervorragenden Küche, der schönen Einrichtung und dem exzellenten Service bietet es ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das man nicht verpassen sollte.

Sehr elegantes Restaurant in der Altstadt. Mit 10 Personen besuchten wir dieses nach einer Vorreservierung. Die Preise der Gerichte sind über dem Mittelmaß. Die Qualität dafür ganz oben. Alle Vorspeisen & Hauptgerichte waren perfekt. Die jungen Bedienungen waren sehr gut geschult. Ein sehr schöner Abend. Danke

Bei unserem letzten Besuch im Vita in Bamberg zeigte sich wieder einmal, dass Patron Fabio Galizia aus der Sterne-Gastronomie kommt und dieses Können und Wissen mit seiner Küchenmannschaft wohltuend in seinem Restaurant Vita einfließen lässt. Die Speisen zeigen unverkennbar seinen kulinarischen Hintergrund, jedoch ohne die in manchen Sterne-Restaurants durch das "Konstruieren" der Gerichte" empfundene Sterilität und "Gewolltheit" zu haben. Es zeigen sich stimmige, modern interpretierte Gerichte. Zur Begrüßung servierte Fabio Joghurt-Macarons mit zartschmelzendem Geflügellebereis und Sauerteig-Tacos mit Tatar von der Königsmakrele, abgerundet mit Jalapeño und Kalamansi. Die Jakobsmuscheln - serviert mit Fregola Sarda und einer geschmacklich tiefgründigen Bouillabaisse-Beurre-Blanc waren von einer heute leider selten gewordenen Spitzen-Qualität. Das Kalbsrahmbeuschel mit Parmesan-Tortellono überzeugte genauso wie die Tagliolini mit schwarzen Herbstrüffeln - zwei Klassiker in Perfektion und harmonisch-stimmig umgesetzt. Die hausgemachten Quark-Pizokel mit Kürbis-Creme und Ricotta waren wunderbar leicht und fluffig. Unvergleichlich mit welchem Fingerspitzengefühl sowohl das Hirschedelgulasch, als auch die Rehkeule auf eine leichte und doch tiefgründige Version gehoben wurden. Als Gast fühlt man sich rundum wie in einer Familie aufgehoben, was sich u.a. in der Perfektion des wohltuend umsichtigen und unaufdringlichen Services zeigt, den Sommelier und Restaurantleiterin Anja Körber mit ihrem sehr gut eingespielten Team leistet. Die Weinkarte wurde wieder erweitert - man kann gespannt sein, welche Überraschungen Anja Körber zukünftig noch offeriert.

Hohe Erwartungen durch resp. Kommentare im Netz wurden nicht erfüllt. Durch das Fehlen jedweder Dekoration ist das Ambiente auf den ersten Eindruck wenig gastfreundlich. Der durch den Namen (La)Vita erzeugte Eindruck eines italienisch geprägten Restaurants wird dann auch durch das Angebot auf der Menükarte korrigiert. Einige der angebotenen Speisen scheinen durch aussergewöhnliche Zusammenstellungen und Würzung (z.B. Essige) eher auf Effekte zu zielen als auf eine harmonische Komposition. Wegen der nach Art der Nouvelle Cuisine eher kleinen Portionierung und eine preislich im oberen Bereich angesiedelte Weinkarte ergibt sich ein Gesamtbild von ‘erheblich zu teuer für’s Angebot’.

Ein absolutes MUSS in Bamberg. Essen Grandios, Bedienung überaus Freundlich und absolut zuvorkommend. Wir haben kurzfristig reserviert und es war glücklicherweise noch etwas frei. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder…😋

Sehr kompetentes Personal, hervorragendes Essen. Bedauerlich ist, dass ein Restaurant dieser Klasse nur sog. „aufbereitetes Wasser“ (Leitungswasser) anbietet und kein Mineralwasser. Wir hatten einen Tisch im Innenhof und waren sehr zufrieden. Gerne empfehlen wir das Restaurant weiter.

Für uns das beste Restaurant im Landkreis. Hier werden erstklassige Produkte verarbeitet und durch ausgewogenen Zutaten ergänzt. Jedes Gericht ist perfekt und harmonisch zusammengesetzt. Eine gute Selektion an erlesenen Weinen begleitet das Essvergnünen. Danke dass wir eure Gäste sein dürfen.

Fazit: Für das Gebotene zu teuer. Das Lokal ist kühl eingerichtet und recht eng bestuhlt. Sehr viel angenehmer ist der Innenhof. Wir waren enttäuscht, dass es keinen Gruß aus der Küche oder wenigstens Brot mit Aufstrich gegeben hat.

Das Essen ist war wirklich sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Fabelhaft!

Wieder einmal besuchten wir das wunderschöne Restaurant Vita in Bamberg, um uns kulinarisch verwöhnen zu lassen. Mit Freunden genossen wir einen lauen Sommerabend im romantischen Innenhof und wurden perfekt von Anja Körber und ihrem eingespielten Team warmherzig-familiär und ebenso professionell umsorgt. Sehr empfehlenswert das Degustationsmenü: Das Carpaccio vom Gambero Rosso hatte eine perfekte Balance zwischen Säure (Limette) und Schärfe (Jalapeño), eingebettet in eine tiefe samtige Krustentieremulsion. Über das Onsenei mit Trüffeljus muß man keine Worte verlieren, nur den Rat geben: unbedingt probieren! Der Weiße Heilbutt mit grünem Thai-Curry entführt in ferne Welten. Als Höhepunkt aber erschien uns das Poltiger Lamm. Eine Offenbarung. Diese aufgrund seiner begrenzten Stückzahl nur in sehr ausgewählter Spitzengastronomie zu findende Spezialität wurde von Fabio Galizia traumhaft zubereitet und butterzart serviert. Für die Süßen gab es am Schluß ein erfrischendes Negronigranité. Danke an Anja und ihr Team für das perfekte Umsorgen und an Fabio und seine tolle Küchenmannschaft wieder einmal für dieses kulinarische Highlight.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Einfache aber feine Auswahl mit verschiedenen Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Sind per Zufall auf diesem Restaurant gestoßen, hat sich aber 100 % gelohnt. Preise etwas höher, aber es stimmt.mte für uns. Gerne wieder einmal, ein Muss für Leute die gerne gut Essen.

Wir haben einen schönen Abend hier verbracht. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Es gibt eine gute Weinauswahl und das Essen war gut. Man sitzt sehr schön auf dem Platz vor dem Restaurant und kann sich am Bamberger Leben erfreuen.

One of the best carbonara I've had in Germany. A bit spicy, a bit salty, a bit bitter even, perfect texture. Tiramisu was also great, light and alcoholic. Service was really nice and attentive, unfortunately not a common experience in Germany yet. Sit in the charming Hof if you get the chance.

Die Überraschung. Zufällig, während unseres Stadtspazierganges, sind wir am Vita vorbei gekommen. Schöne Sitzmöglichkeit außen, interessante Speisekarte und die guten Bewertungen, einschließlich Michelin Empfehlung, ließen uns die Entscheidung treffen dort zu Abend zu essen. Der Service und die Gerichte, wir hatten zweimal das Degustationsmenüs mit Fisch, sowie Gnocchi, Vitello tonnato, Kalbsleber und Hirsch, dazu die Weinbegleitung, war hervorragend. und auch die Weine gut ausgesucht. Am Donnerstag war ich in Nürnberg in einem 1 Sterne Restaurant, aber im Vita hat es mir besser gefallen und geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen war vorzüglich. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst.

Einen Ort zum Genießen und Wohlfühlen hat Fabio Galizia aus dem kleinen Lokal in der Oberen Sandstraße in Bamberg gemacht. Mit seiner Küche gelingt ihm ein interessanter Spannungsbogen zwischen Klassik und kreativ angehauchter Moderne. Dafür verarbeitet er ausgezeichnete Produkte zu konventionellen und vegetarischen Gerichten. Der Bezug zur Region findet sich zum Teil in der durchdachten Weinkarte wieder, die ausgezeichnet von der Sommeliere Anja Körber ergänzt wird. Auch weitere Europäische Einflüsse wie beispielsweise aus seiner Zeit in der Scheiz halten hier Einzug.
