Grüner Brauhaus in Fürth

Beer and a shoulder of pork – simply delicious! At the Grünes Brauhaus in Fürth, I always enjoy a freshly tapped beer and a delicious shoulder of pork. A great combination that always works. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Franconian specialties!

The ambiance and service are top-notch, as is the beer. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The schnitzel, which at first glance seemed huge, was pounded so thin in the middle that the visually great pretzel coating was much thicker than the meat, leaving a dry pretzel dough in your mouth. My wife's meal (roast pork with crackling, potato dumplings, and Bavarian cabbage) was also only "okay." The roast pork was okay, but lacking any flavor, which also applied to the sauce. The dumplings were large and filled, but very dry and hard. But the worst part was the crust. It wasn't attached to the meat, didn't taste of it, and didn't taste of fat either... it seemed more like a foreign object had been thrown into the deep fryer and was completely tasteless. I really like this place. The food is amazing. The staff is super friendly. The prices are unbelievable. I only gave the ambiance 4 stars because the building needs a bit of a makeover (which is probably not easy due to its listed status). Otherwise, it's my favorite place to eat in Franconia.

The venue cancelled our group two weeks before our event without really understanding the reason, really disappointed.

The restaurant has an outdoor and indoor area. We sat inside. It felt cozy. Plenty of space. Very friendly service. Fast service. Now for the not so pleasant part: we had ordered a vegetarian salad with pepperoni, as it was marked that way on the menu. The salad arrived – a huge plate with lots of salad. I was happy about that. There were lots of pepperoni on it, hence the two different pictures of the salad. Well, there was white cabbage salad on it too. Thick bacon cubes and meat crumbs were between the white cabbage. So the salad went back. The second salad arrived without the white cabbage salad, and the pepperoni was also missing. 🙁 Since I didn't feel like returning the salad, I ate it as is. They served it with bread. The second salad only had two small slices left, as they had run out of bread, and a dried-out pretzel as a substitute. Sorry, but that was my first and unfortunately last visit. As an apology, they offered me a drink, but I really couldn't stand that anymore; I just wanted to leave.

It was our first time there and of course we had to try the outstanding schnitzel, which was amazing! Very tasty, very friendly staff, we'd love to go back ☺️

We went there because of a "LachMahl" voucher. Maybe it's better to go when it's not too busy. Unfortunately, my meal wasn't anything special. I ordered a small portion of fried chicken. Firstly, it was overcooked, and secondly, there were only two pieces. My partner had the same thing, but a normal portion, and that was okay. The food prices are too high in my opinion!

We wanted to eat something before visiting the comedy theater, but it wouldn't have been possible because it was really crowded. The service was really friendly, but unfortunately, they were overbooked.

Very tasty food at a fair price. I had the shoulder of pork with dumplings (+one extra) and was absolutely satisfied. The crust was perfect, and the portion size was quite filling. The service and kitchen were well organized. I didn't have to wait long for the food. The ambiance is rustic and cozy, and the staff is friendly. I'd be happy to go back anytime.

As usual, the service was great and friendly. It was delicious, too. We had shashlik with fries, sauerbraten with dumplings, and Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes).

Green brewery? You have to visit it once. Green beer? Must have had a drink. Schnitzel at the Grüner Brauhaus: a must-have. All in all, always delicious and always a pleasure. Very friendly service and a pleasant outdoor area. Cheers.

We are guests here often and have never been disappointed with the food or beer. Yesterday we were able to enjoy the new comedy “Off through the Closet”, we were thoroughly entertained by the new piece. “However, the façade could be refreshed,” said friends who were there for the first time, but we never noticed it because the whole area is so dilapidated.

A mediocre visit. I haven't had such an encounter in an inn for a long time. The waiters were very friendly but very disorganized. So 3 different waiters came to us to order and 2 waiters because my dish was sold out. What shocked me more was the statement “We get our delivery on Monday, so several dishes are already sold out on Sunday.” - I come from a gastronomic family myself - I view such statements critically! So Sunday business is not welcome?! After not finding anything else vegetarian that I liked (including some already sold out), I had some soup and was honestly disappointed with our Sunday family dinner. We won't come anymore.

Maybe we had a bad day? But: When the food is cold, namely all three dishes at our table and at the neighboring table, something goes absolutely wrong in the kitchen. A matter of taste is always to be assessed individually. It wasn't for us. As compensation, we each got an espresso on the house, a nice gesture - but we would have preferred to eat well and warm. Thanks anyway.

We were four people. We had the Schäufele, the cabbage wraps, the sauerbraten and schnitzel with potato salad. The service was very quick and always asked very nicely what we wanted. Good down-to-earth Franconian cuisine. Delicious beer. Prices are in the lower midfield. We were completely satisfied.

The only vegetarian dish on the menu was pretty meager compared to the other dishes. The schnitzels, on the other hand, are absurdly huge, which even irritated the meat eaters at our table. The vegetarian dish consisted of two dumplings with sauce and a huge mountain of lettuce. The staff was nice, the atmosphere is great. But I wouldn't come to eat anymore.

We've been going there for many years and the food is always equally good. Be sure to try the Brauhausschnitzel.

Good, authentic food at a fair price. The giant schnitzel portion is gigantic. Costs almost 20 euros. If you don't get enough, you can't be helped! Yes, the taste could be better, but there's nothing to complain about. Waiters on the ball! The cleaning robot that takes the dishes to the sink in the kitchen is funny. There are also several varieties of Grüner, the Fürth beer. The red beer is from Tucher, but that's fine - one of Tucher's better varieties. Lots of decoration reminiscent of Heissmann and Rassau a.k.a. Waltraud + Mariechen remember, and pithy sayings.

This was my first time trying German food in Germany, and it couldn’t have been better. I had a Schnitzel and a beer – both were delicious! Wir sassen im Cabinet. Da ein Brauhaus typischerweise etwas laut ist, kann man das empfehlen. Die Bedienung war schnell, aufmerksam und gut gelaunt. Die Fassbiere sind richtig gut (hatte Rotbier), das Essen preislich angemessen und reichlich. Der Kaiserschmarrn war wohl eher nicht selbst gemacht, aber locker und gut. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend.

The location is very cozy, you should reserve! The schnitzels are incredibly good and worth a visit for that reason alone.. For fans of the Fürth comedy, this is actually a must after the show. The service is excellent and the prices are right. A Grünerla always works, with that in mind, cheers.

Hello Leutz, eating at the Grüner again...mmmhhhmmm.😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 It starts with the great atmosphere. A casual greeting of a more "shirt-sleeved" style is exactly what I want and that's exactly what used to be the case in middle-class restaurants. Inside a beautiful open space (hall-like with a very high ceiling) with a side aisle like in a church.😏 If you are early enough, you are free to choose where you want to sit. If you sit down, no matter what's going on, you'll quickly find yourself at the table with the menu. The conditions are very friendly throughout and there are a lot of young people who are absolutely against the trend of many young people "today" - and that is meant in a positive way!!!☝🏻 The tables are set puristically, as you would expect. A brie jug in the middle of the table with a knife, fork and napkins in it.🫡 The map follows the whole concept. It is clearly laid out and offers enough choice for starters, main courses and desserts. Even the little ones get their money's worth. Drinks are typically Franconian like they used to be in the pub.😆 Beer: light, cloudy, dark Wine and, of course, non-alcoholic drinks. Well, order and - don't be surprised, the food usually goes pretty quickly. There are no long waiting times. The portions are normal to a little more generous, so not for the faint of heart!!!🤭 The food is delicious and, for example: there is no shortage of sauce. The conditions come asking and immediately bring supplies.😄 So dear friends, now all I have to say is: go there yourself, regardless of whether you are from Franconia or have come from Mainhattan like me and have a good time at the GRÜNER.🤘🏻😊🤘🏻 Oh, almost forgot, but important: you can also bring your 4-legged friend🐕 with you, he will also be brought a glass of goose wine straight away😉

We've eaten there several times before but today the food was inedible. The schnitzel was half raw and the Schäufele was inedible and the food was cold. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Unfortunately I have to give one star because otherwise no rating is possible. I just tried to get a table for two people on a Saturday in three!!!! Weeks to reserve and the program tells me everything is already full????! Sorry, that doesn't work at all....!

A robot with facial expressions and winking eyes But at the end of the shift all the employees are counting up money by hand and ticking off bills by hand... The schnitzel at Grüner Bräu was absolutely delicious and incredibly generous in size! The Weissbier was also excellent—Tucher, smooth and refreshing. A great spot for a hearty meal and quality beer!

Franconian inn with Franconian dishes and large portions. Highly recommended and always happy. Plus the friendly staff, just great. Be sure to reserve in advance otherwise you won't get a seat.

First of all: the beer is an absolute delight! Grüner naturally cloudy is one of the best beers I've ever had. The service was completely fine, as was the ambience... just like a brewery. Does what it promises. The Schäufele was eaten. The dumpling is really no revelation, there are better things in the supermarket than ready-made food. The sauce was tasty. The cabbage was completely random, the meat was somehow okay. But nothing you would come back for again.

Today (04.02.25) I wasn't so happy for the first time.

Es wurde erst mit 20minütiger Verspätung nachgeliefert. Ohne Erklärung, ohne Entschuldigung. Den Service zur Rede gestellt kamen nur billige Ausreden. Servicegedanke und Kundenfreundlichkeit Fehlanzeige. Die Speisen selbst bestenfalls Durchschnitt Die Schweinelende in Pfeffersauce und Kartoffelgratin einfalslos, langweilig und die Schnitzel von zuviel Brezelpanade dominiert, sodass hier 2 Schnitzel zur Hälfte zurückgingen. Preislich: Durchschnitt. Keine Empfehlung.

Very nice, bright brewery with good schnitzel and beer 🍺. Very nice atmosphere, we even had live music while we were there 🤩 the schnitzel was nice and thin and crispy breaded and the potato salad was also perfect (we actually wanted to go for coffee and cake in the old town, but then we stumbled across the brewery and immediately Stopped in for a schnitzel and it was exactly the right choice 🤩🤩🤩)

The trout was really very tasty and I had a light one with it, which is also highly recommended. The waitresses were super friendly and you were served very quickly. The restaurant is not too big, which makes the atmosphere very cozy.

A must for any beer lover in Furth. Very large, very nice place in a nice building. The atmosphere is excellent, cheerful and noisy. The beer was good, unfortunately we didn't get to eat the food because we arrived a bit too late. A lot of souvenirs, you can choose something nice. The only minor annoyance was the rush to drink and pay, which resulted from the fact that the place closed in an hour. However, an hour is still quite a long time...
