Grüner Brauhaus in Fürth

Very good service, large portions with perfect quality, good prices, great beer, what more could you ask for?

The actual purpose of the visit was a comedy performance. It started too early to have dinner in peace beforehand and so at the end of the performance the spontaneous decision was made to have dinner in the adjacent Grüner Brauhaus. Despite the late end of the performance (10:10 p.m.), the service staff announced after taking their seats in the restaurant (around 10:20 p.m.) that the kitchen would be closing in a few minutes. When studying the menu and then ordering, there was a bit of a hectic moment - it would be nice if the kitchen were a little more flexible about the playing times of the guest artists. Among other things, a 'Großes Brauhausschnitzel' with fries was ordered. The pretzel breading is crispy, the portion size is impressive in every respect and suitable to fill up even the hungriest Franconian (perhaps you should add a sprig of parsley to the arrangement with just a quarter of a lemon as a garnish to soften the snack bar flair a bit). Nevertheless, the price/performance ratio is completely acceptable here and the other dishes ordered at the table were also impeccable.

This was a nice beer house that has some good beer and good food. The food was tasty, but a little on the colder side. The portion I ordered was the small size, which was perfect for me. The service was great and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place.

This restaurant is really recommended. The price-performance ratio is really very good here 👍. If you want to see a "kitchen robot" at work, you've come to the right place. He drives the used dishes through the restaurant to the kitchen. A real eye-catcher. But you should be hungry enough, otherwise you won't be able to manage the portions. The ambience is as usual in breweries. The food came quickly and was freshly prepared. If we are in the area again, we would like to eat here again.

Naja ging so Kloss war kalt genauso wie die Sauce. Schäufele war außen hart. Der Schweinebraten war auch kalt. Wurde leider nicht getauscht. Leider für Mittag nicht so toll. Haben es bei der Bedienung gesagt aber leider wurde nichts gemacht. Schade

The two of us were there yesterday because it is our home restaurant or was now and because it is the only German restaurant that is open all the time. First look at the menu, no longer the variety of the last few years and only one dish with fish. I really wanted carp (months with R carp season). There was always carp here but it is no longer offered. In Fürth Stadt I can think of two restaurants that offer carp, but they are closed at lunchtime. Since we were disappointed, we lost a little of our appetite, but we were hungry and all that was left was the cold dishes. Decision, brawn (bland) and town sausage with music. Now you can also see the savings. I hope that one day we will find our way back to you. Good luck.

We had roast pork for lunch. My wife was kindly offered and brought a smaller portion. Many thanks for the service staff who served you carefully and quickly. We were recommended the Grünes Brauhaus and can report that it was delicious, great ambience and fair prices 👍

The service automatically increases the amount when paying with the card. Once 10 cents, once 90 cents and once 20 cents. This means that 3 calculations were falsified within one round. It's no longer a coincidence, it's simply fraud.

Five of us were there on a Friday afternoon. There was enough space. The service was very friendly and the orders were filled quickly. Everyone was happy with the food and the beer was tasty. Very good value for money and I can recommend the Grüner Brauhaus.

I rarely give five stars, but the Grüner Braushaus clearly deserves the five stars. Regardless of whether it's the food, ambience, service and, last but not least, the fair price/performance ratio, each of these points gets five stars from me.

Wir haben uns über diverse Internetquellen informiert, und uns ist das Grüner Brauhaus ins Auge gestochen. Wir hatten Lust auf originalfränkische Küche in einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Wir sind geflasht es war fantastisch das Essen vor allem das Schnitzel haben wir zweimal nachgestellt. Der Service war megafreundlich, sehr schnell, sehr zuvorkommend und das Publikum Sehr sympathisch. Eine perfekte Atmosphäre und ganz ganz ganz großes Lob an das grüner Brauhaus. Besser kann ich mir ein fränkisches Brauwirtshaus nicht vorstellen.

Best schnitzel and friendly service

The ambience and furnishings are very authentic. The food and especially the beer is uncomplicated and honest. This simplicity is convincing. On top of that, it's also cheap. All in all, you can look forward to and enjoy a successful “evening at the brewery”.

A nice, manageable map, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also a big compliment to the kitchen, which delivers very good quality and performance potential. I also like the ambience, which always has a nice coziness. The only thing I would like again is the pepper and cream schnitzel, that would be really wonderful ;-).

Charging €2 for an extra plate is just cheeky. When we asked the waitress about the extra €2 on the bill, she pointed out that it was in the small print and that the plate also had to be washed and brought - that's why the brewery charged €2. It's a shame if the waitress (who can't do anything about it) then has to argue with the guest. If it is pointed out that the packaging for packing the food is charged extra, why isn't the extra cost for the plate notified in advance? Pro-tip: For 60 cents more you can get a dumpling in sauce WITH a plate.

Very nice beer garden with friendly service, delicious food and a great view.

The sauces are pretty bland. Beer is good, meat is ok, you can forget about the vegetarian dishes. Maybe we were unlucky, but the waitresses made quite a mess. Trains keep rushing over the tracks right next to it.

Today we went out to dinner with a friend on our recommendation and really embarrassed ourselves. We ordered a regular and a large schnitzel, but what we were served could almost be described as the soles of shoes in grease. We've never eaten anything so bad. The schnitzels were clearly warmed up, which you could tell from the breading, which was literally dripping in oil. The meat was extremely dry and dark inside. When we pointed this out to the waitress, we were simply told that we could only pass it on since we hadn't complained about it straight away. The fact that half of the schnitzel was still on the plate was ignored. This restaurant is definitely not recommended for schnitzel. It's a shame we didn't take any pictures.

The ambience is fine, but even after the third visit I remain certain that the Grüner Brauhaus is a place that I really don't need to be happy in my life. On our last visit, we and the other guests who were still eating were more or less escorted out at 8:15 p.m. "So, last round. If you want to order anything else, do it now!" Meanwhile, the colleague was already clearing up the tables around us. Three attempts, three complete disasters. Lost customers. And goodbye.

It seemed to me that the waitresses were a bit stressed, but otherwise everything was very good. The best thing is that your four-legged friends can get in there and get water.

It was probably the wrong day that we were there, I can't complain, my food was okay, others had a bit of bad luck with the cooking point, the ambience was cool, as you would expect from a brewery

Arrive and immediately feel at home. The beer is totally drinkable, the food is like yours and the service is super friendly and quick-witted. This is my second time here and I've been looking forward to the visit for the entire holiday.

Update 8/2024 After a long time we were back. The meal was okay. The service was friendly and very on point. It should be so. –-------------------------------- A friend recommended the Grüner Brauhaus to us. So we went. The rooms are very large and are comfortably furnished. The service is on point. The food was really tasty. The schnitzel is recommended. If you like Franconian cuisine, you should take a look here.

I can only recommend nice service and very good food

Very nice atmosphere inside and outside in the garden area / friendly, quick service / very tasty food in large portions at very fair prices! I would love to come back here the next time I visit Fürth!!

First visit to the Grüner, but definitely not the last! I had a “normal” Viennese style schnitzel with potato salad, but this schnitzel was simply huge and damn tasty. The price was really okay for that. My friends' dishes (Jägerschnitzel, noodles, etc.) were also really good portions and a good price. Everyone loved the taste. The service was also super quick, friendly and in a good mood, even though all hell was breaking loose that evening. The only thing that bothered me a bit (but the Grüner can't do that and it's whining at a high level) was the volume. There were just a lot of people there and you had to “yell” at each other to have a conversation. But as I said, I would love to go there again.

It's a shame that 3G+ applies here and is voluntary. This has nothing to do with health anymore, because despite being vaccinated you can still get C*** and pass it on. You currently have to pay for the PCR test yourself (60 euros)! Therefore it is discrimination against people who have not been vaccinated against Corona. Think about people who are not allowed to get vaccinated!

Solid Franconian cuisine. Delicious Saure Zipfel and a Sauerbraten that really deserves its good name. Delicious!!

I was at the Grüner Brauhaus today by chance. I treated myself to the Schäufele. It was the best I've gotten so far. The staff was absolutely friendly and the brewery was very stylishly furnished. It's a shame it's so far from my home.

Pleasant garden in the courtyard, for warmer summer days. I had the schnitzel with a pretzel crust, which I highly recommend. My wife had a salad which was also very tasty. We'd love to come back!

A typical brewery. The selection of meat dishes is large. But I ordered chanterelles with dumplings. I was expecting fried mushrooms, a dark sauce (maybe even beer-based) and dumplings. I got mushrooms drowned in a dark cream sauce with at least 40% butter and 2 small mini dumplings. No garnish! Plus point because they were real chanterelles. 2 minus points because the chef apparently didn't clean the mushrooms well. The forest floor crunched a little between his teeth. Since I can prepare the dish better for my taste using a fraction of the fat, only 1 star. But the service was really good.

As always, very good Franconian food. I had brawn. Super good and a nice big portion with the excellent bread from the wine mill in Burgfarrnbach.

If you want really good German traditional food and really good German service, you should definitely come here. Gruener beer is one of the best to my taste too.

We can highly recommend the Schäufelesalat, it was awesome, great value for money and a good basis for a few cellar beers. The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere cozy and inviting. They have either changed their recipes or hired a new cook - but it's definitely gone downhill in 2024. The pommes have changed and are just nasty and the schnitzel is no longer any good. Just ordered yesterday and it was awful.

The staff is super fast, the orders came quickly. Vegetarians should take a look at the online menu beforehand to see if there is something for them, but there is more choice for beer lovers, including non-alcoholic ones. Despite the size of the restaurant, it is advisable to make a reservation. Convenient access by public transport.

The best thing is the draft beer, the food is lukewarm and tasteless, the bread dumplings are really dry, run-of-the-mill food. It's a real shame, the food used to be really tasty.
