Immer wieder eine tolle Atmosphäre und super lecker!

Essen war okay Allerdings finde ich es etwas schade daß es keine Speisekarten gibt sonder Mann muss zu einer Tafel in dem fall blieb uns nichts anderes übrig wie ein Foto zu machen weil wir einen geh behinderten dabei hatten Meine Frau hat Schnitzel bestellt und das geht nur mit Kartoffelsalat weil es keine Pommes gibt Preisleistung OK

Wir waren das erste Mal hier und wollten mal was neues ausprobieren und waren positiv überrascht. Das Ambiente im Biergarten war so wie man sich einen idyllischen Hinterhof vorstellt. Man wird freundlich empfangen. Die Portionen sind sehr reichhaltig, also Hunger mitbringen. Wir kommen wieder.

Herrlich wie immer! Ok, Wetter spielt mit: Lauschiges Plätzchen im Garten, nette Bedienung u natürlich den Klassiker: Schnitzel mit Salat. Mmmmhhh …

In keine andere Kneipe gehe ich so gerne, wie in den Blauen Affen! Der Service ist immer gut drauf und schnell. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist auch für Vegetarier sehr gut, mein Favorit ist der Semmelknödel (sehr lecker) in einem Pilzragout mit Gemüse der Saison. Auch die Portionsgröße ist wirklich angenehm groß, und man wird definitiv satt! Nachspeisen werden mit Liebe angerichtet Der nächste Stammtische kommt bestimmt, bis bald 😋

Das essen ist immer sehr sehr gut vor allem das Schnitzel. Service ist auch immer sehr freundlich und schnell!!

Ich war am 08. April 2026 von 18.30-22.40 Uhr dort. Ein tolles und kultiges Lokal in Fürth! Bus hält in der Nähe und es sind nur ein paar Minuten zum Lokal. Bedienung super freundlich und sehr leckeres Essen und reichlich große Portionen! Schönes 70ger Jahre Ambiente! Nur Barzahlung möglich, was für einen Kartenzahlfreak wie mich schwierig ist... Aber in den 70gern gab es halt noch keine Kartenzahlung ;-) Wirklich zu empfehlen für einen gemütlichen Abend mit leckerer gutbürgerlicher Küche!

Tiroler Schnitzel war etwas zu lange in der Fritteuse. große Portionen. Es gibt viele Spiele für Groß und Klein. Eingang ist nicht behindertengerecht! Tapeten müssten meiner Meinung nach mal ausgetauscht oder frisch gestrichen werden

Wir waren das erste Mal dort und können es nur weiterempfehlen, wenn man es urig mag. Sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung mit immer einen Lächeln und netten Spruch auf den Lippen. Das Essen war lecker und für uns genau richtig. Geht einfach hin und macht euch selbst ein Bild. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The rest of the menu also impresses with solid classics, freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The prices are very reasonable, even compared to other restaurants in Fürth. The beer garden is a real highlight – beautifully designed, comfortable, and ideal for lingering on warm days. An important note for all guests: reservations are not accepted, so if you want to be sure of a table, you should arrive early. One minor drawback is the noise level inside, especially if you're sitting near the foosball table. Keep that in mind if you prefer a quieter dining experience. Cozy inside and out in the garden, super friendly and helpful. We love the delicious homemade food! It's always simply fantastic! And even after a stressful day, they all have a smile for their guests. It's just wonderful here! The schnitzel is also highly recommended. Whether classic or with vegan seeds... An absolute must for anyone who enjoys delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The name of the restaurant initially gave me some trouble; I couldn't quite picture what to expect. Now I understand better: it's definitely not just a pub, but rather a delicious and rustic Franconian inn. The interior is simple yet creative, just like the restaurant's name. The food is very tasty and tailored to the typical Franconian appetite: for example, large schnitzels, delicious potato salad, a good selection of different beers, and much more. The service was very attentive and friendly. I'll gladly come back again next time I'm in Fürth.

A really cool spot with a unique vibe – you can feel the atmosphere the moment you walk in. “Blue Monkey” is one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood: modern music, relaxed crowd, and a mix between bar, lounge, and restaurant. The food is surprisingly high-quality, the drinks are great, and the staff are friendly and easy-going. Especially in the evening, when the lights come on, the place turns into something special – somewhere between urban and cozy. Prices are totally fair for what you get, and it’s perfect for unwinding after a day in the city. For me, it’s one of those places where concept, atmosphere, and service all just click. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for something a bit different in Ljubljana.

The atmosphere is charmingly rustic, a restaurant that's seen better days, and cozy. Our group was very pleasantly surprised by the food. As a schnitzel lover, which was also excellent, I was particularly drawn to the ravioli and bread dumplings my friends ordered. The portions were generous, and according to them, absolutely delicious. All this with friendly service and reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

A really nice old pub. The beer garden can get crowded quickly. The schnitzels are great. The roast dumplings are great too, but you can't get them everywhere. @Jana: That's not red cabbage, it's blue cabbage.

We've been coming here regularly for several years because the schnitzel (and the chicken schnitzel) combined with the leaf salad (top dressing) and potato salad are simply the best schnitzel you can get in this region. Service is always friendly and quick, and the ambiance is perfect.

I was sold a Wiener Schnitzel. After tasting it, I noticed it wasn't veal. I asked the waitress and she said: Of course it's pork! Not recommended.

Very good food on a very clear menu. Excellent drinks. Drink prices are fair, as are the food prices due to the larger portions. The ambiance takes some getting used to. I assume sustainability takes precedence over chic here. The lamps, which have been collected together, are quite interesting. And the burn marks on the tabletop are also reminiscent of times gone by. This is a really old restaurant, so it's authentic. I have a bit of a problem with the wallpaper, probably put up in the 70s. The staff is exceptionally friendly. So, it's definitely a recommendation for good food in an interesting setting.

We completely fail to understand the very good reviews, especially since they are recent. The staff were friendly and quick, and the beer garden was lovely. But that's about all the positives. We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time! We both had schnitzel with potato salad and salad. Nothing here is homemade, and you can taste it. The salad dressing was too sweet, the potato salad had no flavor, and in our opinion the schnitzel was just fried in old fat and not breaded in-house. For €18, you expect much better food, not just convenience. The decent size unfortunately doesn't make up for the bad food. We also had stomach problems afterwards. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it! Cash only.

Best home cooking and everything fresh. Service attentive and great, prices reasonable. Here the chef serves himself👍nice little beer garden in a green atmosphere. All in all TOP. The only drawback is that you can only pay in cash, but no card is okay.

They have a varied menu, including plenty of vegetarian options. I dropped in spontaneously and managed to snag a nice seat outside. The red cabbage was delicious! The roast pork was well prepared, but bland. The sauce was tasty, but completely runny, and I had to spoon it all over. I didn't like the dumpling at all, and I actually left it alone. The schnitzel looked very good, and everyone in the waiting staff praised it highly. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed. The breading fell apart on the plate, and some of the meat was unbreaded. The schnitzel was also too thick and had a lot of fiber. The service was good and courteous. The wait was okay. Unfortunately, they only accept cash payments. The outdoor seating area is very nice and surrounded by trees. Unfortunately, the smell from the kitchen, especially of fried food, lingers inside.

We went there because of the many good reviews. The staff is very friendly and efficient. What's annoying are the wobbly chairs and tables on the extremely uneven ground in the beer garden. We all had schnitzel with potato salad and a few hours later, we all had stomach problems. It smelled strongly of old grease outside, which should have been a warning. Therefore, only one star for the food.

Generous portions, a pleasant atmosphere, and a spacious courtyard. Perfect for a long, undisturbed sit-down chat or a game of cards. Very attentive staff. However, I would only recommend the "home-style" dishes in good conscience. I recently ordered tomato ravioli, which was nothing more than a carelessly prepared tortelloni(!) convenience product(!) with a few cherry tomatoes on top. It was tasteless and relatively expensive.

Unfortunately, this is no longer the "Blue Monkey" we know. The price-performance ratio is not appropriate. The salad is more of a side salad and very disappointing. We used to go there often, and now we have to cross it off our list of favorites.

I had baked feta cheese with salad. It didn't blow me away. It was quite bland. A large piece and two slices of baguette. The ratio wasn't right either. The service was quite slow, but OK. The atmosphere was okay. The wallpaper, the pictures on display, and the flower wall lamp weren't my thing. But the beer garden is supposed to be nice.

I generally like eating here, but unfortunately the portions aren't as big as they used to be. I always order the salad with chicken strips and mushrooms. The selection of tomatoes, pepper strips, and baguette has been drastically reduced. Luckily, the dressing still tastes the same as always :-) The chicken was a bit tough. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Friends and I occasionally hang out at the Blaue Affen and are always impressed. Good beer, nicely chilled, great food (the schnitzel is simply amazing!), a very nice beer garden, and a super friendly team. We'd love to go back.

For decades, the rather plain and quirky interior has been serving magnificent meals. The portions, whether deep-fried classics, healthy greens, or self-invented crossover ventures, have been tested and approved by happy guests. For well under €20 each, there are around 15 different dishes and a selection of desserts that will bring a satisfied smile to even the most stubborn nutritionist.

I thought that I didn't like German food until I visited this restaurant and I am so glad to be mistaken. Congratulations to the chef, excellent food, service and atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Delicious schnitzel and good beer!

The first impression after entering was a bit shocked at first, the wallpaper was all old school. But if you put your mind to it, it was a complete success, the food was amazing. You could almost have put all 8 plates back in the cupboard, it was that delicious 🥰 .

I give 4.5 stars! The ambience is something different, the kicker is cool and allows you to come into contact with other guests (but it also gets loud, which could be annoying for others). Service was nice and on point! Schnitzels were very good! Also side dishes, for me personally the potato salad was just too bland, but that's a taste problem as always. Portions were really decent. As of April 25, a schnitzel costs €17.80, which is really not cheap. We'd love to come back in the summer, then hopefully it'll be a little more comfortable and comfortable to sit outside.

Yes, I can recommend it. Good homemade food. The ambiance is unfortunately a bit old-fashioned, I'd say, but if that doesn't bother you, you'll have a pleasant evening. The staff (maybe even the owners) were super nice. And as for the chef, all I can say is, he's simply quaint and can still really cook.

Good down-to-earth cuisine, always highly motivated staff, rustic restaurant, brilliant garden in summer. We feel comfortable there in every season! --> and that's why there's now the 5 *!

In one word: quaint. In two words: warm and original. But no matter how many words you use to describe the Blue Monkey: it is a wonderful Fürth institution. The food is always delicious. The classic, of course, is the schnitzel! Trigger warning: Bring a lot of hunger or have it packed up. Plus a light draft beer. And in summer, unwind in the inviting beer garden. The service is excellent, warm and very accommodating. Payment is only in cash, but the prices are fair, so your wallet doesn't have to be too full. It is rumored that the table football is the oldest in Fürth...

Unfriendly staff. The food is now far too expensive. And you fly out at 10 p.m. You no longer need to have a regular meeting.

Great people, great, delicious food - but incredibly loud background noise

The pub in the original Franconian style can be described as very special, but also extraordinary in a special way. The ultimate cult is the Kicker and anyone who likes Franconian Aborigines is in good hands here.

Just a decent old and cool pub. Very nice waiter, roast pork with dumpling and cabbage (my son), I ate the classic: The pork schnitzel with delicious homemade potato salad and a green side salad (with a very good dressing). Both tasted very good, drinks were good too. Unfortunately, the prices have already risen dramatically, for a small salad 11.50 euros or roasted dumplings with egg and onions 13.50 euros is a bit bold. And with my schnitzel I just have to point out and that's why I deducted one star ⭐: For 17.50 euros it should actually be made in clarified butter and in the pan and not in the much cheaper frying oil in the deep fryer. But really big portions and a great general charm of the pub, which unfortunately you can find less and less. That's why I forgive the deep fryer and will gladly come back.

Closes at 1am, but no longer serves drinks after 10.30pm (!). The schnitzel has tasted the same good for 15 years and is recommended. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself is pretty run down. In the summer you can sit quite comfortably in the green backyard. The service leads to a total of 2 stars.

Very inconspicuous from the outside. Interior intentionally decorated in the style of the 1920s. Menu as a blackboard on the counter. Very nice service and everything was super tasty. There is also enough vegetarian selection in addition to roast pork or schnitzel. Beautiful beer garden with old trees. We always enjoy coming here.

Finally!! I finally found the place I've been looking for for years! Just like before, simple and original pub with no frills or modern ambience. You can really feel comfortable here! The food is great, as is the wild mix of music and the friendly staff round off the visit into a relaxed experience. I'm here more often now!

Is still one of our most popular pubs in the Fürther Südstadt area. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, the operators have had to raise the prices, which is unfortunately not that great. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back here more often in the summer and sit down in the beer garden.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice and rustic - you almost felt like you were in a cozy village tavern. The staff was also very friendly and served us quickly. The food came to the table quickly and looked really fantastic, almost like something out of a cookbook. But then came the taste test: Unfortunately, the potato salad with the schnitzel was so subtly seasoned that we wondered whether he even knew spices. The salad and dressing were also more of a surprise - one that almost reminded us of a dessert in terms of sweetness. The schnitzel itself seemed to come from the deep fryer, which wouldn't have been a problem if the meat hadn't been so thin and dry. The highlight of the evening, however, was the frying oil, which has obviously seen better days. We had something of it the whole evening and night - unfortunately in a negative sense. Despite all this, we left a tip when paying. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't even think it was necessary to say a thank you. Sad, sad. Conclusion: A place with potential if you just want to look at the food. For us it was probably a unique experience. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be coming back.
