Great people, great, delicious food - but incredibly loud background noise

The pub in the original Franconian style can be described as very special, but also extraordinary in a special way. The ultimate cult is the Kicker and anyone who likes Franconian Aborigines is in good hands here.

Just a decent old and cool pub. Very nice waiter, roast pork with dumpling and cabbage (my son), I ate the classic: The pork schnitzel with delicious homemade potato salad and a green side salad (with a very good dressing). Both tasted very good, drinks were good too. Unfortunately, the prices have already risen dramatically, for a small salad 11.50 euros or roasted dumplings with egg and onions 13.50 euros is a bit bold. And with my schnitzel I just have to point out and that's why I deducted one star ⭐: For 17.50 euros it should actually be made in clarified butter and in the pan and not in the much cheaper frying oil in the deep fryer. But really big portions and a great general charm of the pub, which unfortunately you can find less and less. That's why I forgive the deep fryer and will gladly come back.

Closes at 1am, but no longer serves drinks after 10.30pm (!). The schnitzel has tasted the same good for 15 years and is recommended. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself is pretty run down. In the summer you can sit quite comfortably in the green backyard. The service leads to a total of 2 stars.

Cozy, good food and very nice service

Very inconspicuous from the outside. Interior intentionally decorated in the style of the 1920s. Menu as a blackboard on the counter. Very nice service and everything was super tasty. There is also enough vegetarian selection in addition to roast pork or schnitzel. Beautiful beer garden with old trees. We always enjoy coming here.

Authentic Franconian restaurant with young, committed staff. Good tasty food (we ate vegetarian 😋). No card payment! Recommended.

Super quaint restaurant with delicious food and drink. I just don't have internet, but no problem. There's a table football and games for that.

Finally!! I finally found the place I've been looking for for years! Just like before, simple and original pub with no frills or modern ambience. You can really feel comfortable here! The food is great, as is the wild mix of music and the friendly staff round off the visit into a relaxed experience. I'm here more often now!

Is still one of our most popular pubs in the Fürther Südstadt area. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, the operators have had to raise the prices, which is unfortunately not that great. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back here more often in the summer and sit down in the beer garden.

A gem in the middle of the city! Rustic restaurant and a very nice, cozy beer garden in the back yard under old maple trees. Top selection of food and the best-tasting schnitzel in all of Fürth. Super friendly staff, what more could you want. Happy to come back!

The atmosphere in the restaurant was really nice and rustic - you almost felt like you were in a cozy village tavern. The staff was also very friendly and served us quickly. The food came to the table quickly and looked really fantastic, almost like something out of a cookbook. But then came the taste test: Unfortunately, the potato salad with the schnitzel was so subtly seasoned that we wondered whether he even knew spices. The salad and dressing were also more of a surprise - one that almost reminded us of a dessert in terms of sweetness. The schnitzel itself seemed to come from the deep fryer, which wouldn't have been a problem if the meat hadn't been so thin and dry. The highlight of the evening, however, was the frying oil, which has obviously seen better days. We had something of it the whole evening and night - unfortunately in a negative sense. Despite all this, we left a tip when paying. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't even think it was necessary to say a thank you. Sad, sad. Conclusion: A place with potential if you just want to look at the food. For us it was probably a unique experience. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be coming back.

Nice beer garden with nice service. The food was also delicious, but a bit expensive for a (supposedly) small salad (11.80 EUR, I was more than satisfied with the quantity 😉). You can only pay in cash here, I would have taken something else if we had enough cash 😅

Food and service were impeccable! The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The baked eggplants were crispy and delicious, and the other vegetarian dishes are also highly recommended. The prices are a little higher for a beer garden, but the portions are huge! The ambience inside is a matter of taste.

A beautiful little beer garden in the backyard. It's great to sit under the mighty maple trees. The menu is on a large slate on the wall of the house. We had the feta cream with really good Kalamata olives and homemade chiabatta for only €10.80. The staff is friendly, attentive and uncomplicated. There are a lot of regulars there. A great place. We'll definitely come back.

Really nice, old pub. Rustic and cozy, with a real beer garden (old trees, gravel) in the backyard. Top beer selection and a mix of traditional and healthier food. Plus a totally friendly and professional service team. It doesn't get any better.

A really beautiful idyllic beer garden

We just wanted to end the evening so we went out for dinner. Unfortunately, I ordered the roast pork, which was probably not well received by others. When we paid we were asked how we liked it. The baked eggplants with sheep cheese dip were really tasty. According to the motto “no criticism offers no chance for improvement” I shared what I didn't like about the roast pork. The cook Tobi was then taken out of the kitchen. I repeated my criticism again and suddenly found myself involved in a discussion. Don't ask me if you can't take criticism. And thank you very much for the wonderful evening.

Fürth cult. Quaint pub, quiet little beer garden. The pleasantly disorganized service culture could be improved. The customer pays what he remembers at the checkout. The service doesn't take notes or collect money itself. How crazy, right? The uninspired cuisine isn't always worth the upscale price. Hilcona tagliatelli in an unseasoned tomato sauce for almost €18? That doesn't fit because it's too bland for the money. If you know it, you can adapt to it.

We were there at 9:40 in the evening, shortly after the galley closed. We left out vegetarian tortellini, they tasted unseasoned, watered down, the goulash wasn't much of a treat either, bland taste, mixed meat, the bread dumplings were too hard, the red cabbage was too sour and mushy. The portions, however, were huge. The atmosphere was very annoying due to the other ladies who were way too loud. We returned the plates almost full and paid €45. The waiter was very helpful and the apricot schnapps was delicious.

Die Seele von Fürth! Das Essen wird mit Liebe gekocht und serviert. Den Blauen Affen kenne ich seit etwa 30 Jahren - und ich komme immer wieder gerne zurück. Ganz besonders schön ist der Garten.

Richtige Bierkneipe. Sehr urig. Essen gut. Service gut. Da kann man abends schnell was essen und ein Bier trinken. Preise absolut okay.

Tolle Kneipe im Retro-Look ..... Netter Wirt und das Publikum war auch angenehm.... angenehme Atmosphäre. Unsere Schnitzel, einmal klassisch paniert einmal gefüllt, mit Kartoffelsalat und Salat waren sehr lecker ! Absolut zu empfehlen !

Essen wir immer super. Leider haben die Preise so stark angezogen, dass das Preis Leistungsverhältnis für mich nicht mehr stimmt. Ein Schweineschnitzel für über 15€…

Dies ist ein echter Geheimtipp, sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, super leckeres, frisch gekochte Hausmannskost, sehr netter Service. Und riesen Portionen!!!Kann ich nur empfehlen 👍 👍 👍

Nette Kneipe, eine der wenigen Lokale, welches seinen Namen schon seit vielen vielen Jahrzehnten besitzt. Davon kann es gerne mehr geben. Speisen findet man auf der großen Tafel an der Bar. Bezahlt wird am Ende an der Theke. Kicker vorhanden. Toller Biergarten. Bekannt für seine Schnitzel.

Wir waren nicht begeistert: Schnitzel waren zäh und ohne Geschmack. Kartoffelsalat, grüner Blattsalat und Schnitzel zusammen auf einem Teller serviert, da hatte ich keinen Platz zum schneiden und der frische Blattsalat war schnell platt gedrückt, schade.

Ansich ist es dort immer lecker ,wahrscheinlich haben wir einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Das Essen wurde teilweise vergessen oder man musste 1 Stunde warten.Wir waren zu 8 und der Biergarten war sehr voll,die Bedienungen hatten gut zu tun.Aber wenn ich ein Schnitzel mit Schinken und Röstzwiebeln bestell und Jürgens dabei steht da da auch Meerrettich dabei ist(ich mag den wirklich nicht)dann hat es nicht geschmeckt.Teilweise sind wir zur Bedienung um nachzubestellen.Kann ja Mal passieren trotzdem würde nur gelächelt als man das Schnitzel reklamieren wollte . Aber gut beim nächsten Besuch weiß ich Bescheid.

Als Exil-Franken ist es jedes Mal wie Heimkommen. Wir kennen den Blauen Affen seit über 20 Jahren und selbst der Urgroßvater war hier schon zum „Kartln“. Schön, dass die urige Atmosphäre und die Dauerbrenner an Speisen, vor allem das Schnitzel, verlässlich die Vorfreude darauf befriedigen. Wunderbar, vor allem im Sommer im lauschigen Hinterhof. Super nettes Team kommt noch dazu. Für uns bei jedem Heimatbesuch ein absolutes Muss herzukommen. Macht weiter so …

Kultige Atmosphäre, sehr gastfreundlich, gute Schnitzel...

Ich hatte einen kleinen Salat bestellt. Der war überraschend teuer. Über 10 € ! Es kam ein ganz normaler Beilagensalat, den man auch zu jedem Schweinebraten oder Schnitzel bekommt. Also nix besonderes und somit ziemlich enttäuschend. Kleiner Biergarten war o.k., Service auch.

Wir sind oft dort, ich vor allem wegen dem Schnitzel, denn das ist das beste, was es hier in der Umgebung gibt. Auch das Salatdressing ist hervorragend. Seit 20 Jahren hat sich der Blaue Affe nicht groß verändert, darum gehört er zu einem entspannten Fürthbesuch dazu, und die Fürther wissen ihn zu schätzen. Die Einrichtung ist alt, simpel, aber nice. Lockere Atmosphäre, absolut nette Bedienungen, großes Herz, Kicker, Sommerbiergarten im grünen Hinterhof unter Bäumen. Einziges Manko (?): Die Klamotten duften danach noch nach Blauer Affe, genauso wie früher :D Bitte bleibt so!

Sehr schöne, kulturelle Atmosphäre sowohl im Innen-, als auch im Außenbereich (toller Biergarten). Gerichte und Bier sehr lecker und das Personal schafft mit dem traditionellen Ambiente eine lockere Stimmung, abseits der Stadt.

Ich kann nur sagen immer wieder gerne. Das Essen ist super lecker. Im Sommer hat man noch dazu einen wunderschönen Biergarten. Wir fühlen uns hier sehr wohl. Alle voll nett und zuvorkommend. Volle Empfehlung.
