The food is delicious, the service is friendly and attentive. In summer, you can sit outside.

I've driven past this place countless times and never noticed it. It's very unassuming from the outside and is located in a rather unattractive apartment complex. This time we were cycling and decided to stop by for dinner. And it was a hit. The interior has the typical brewery style. However, it was quite quiet. The service is incredibly friendly and very accommodating. And the food was outstanding. Very good value for money.

Hidden gem! Very good local food and perfect atmosphere. Must make a side turn to have dinner here. I always stop here on the way back home to the Netherlands. Perfect stop, perfect ford an of course a Kölsch!

Huge portions. You can easily order one portion for two people, and two portions are definitely enough for three. We didn’t like the schnitzel - it was way too thick. But the sauerbraten was very tasty, with large pieces of high-quality tender meat. Keep in mind that all salads come with a huge amount of dressing, which really spoils the fresh vegetables.

A beautiful, well-maintained restaurant right near the hotel. The food is absolutely adequate for the price, if not more than adequate, so the value for money is absolutely spot on. Now, about the service: special thanks go to our waiter, Nikos, a super-friendly person who not only loves his job, but lives it. He puts his heart and soul into serving you and immediately makes you feel at ease. Absolutely recommend this place.

Very fast service, friendly and competent, and with the customer. The onion soup with baked cheese was excellent. The Cordon Bleu was large and had plenty of cheese. The French fries were thin and nicely crispy. Very good value for money.

The sauerbraten with its wonderful gravy was incredibly delicious and very, very filling. The dumplings, on the other hand, are an outrage for such a dish.

We were there yesterday for a birthday party and were extremely disappointed. The food was almost cold and the salad wilted. The waiter was unfriendly and annoyed, even though he brought the wrong drinks. A second round of drinks was brought, but the empty glasses were left standing. Later, we didn't get any more drinks, even though we had ordered. I asked for the salad plates and glasses to be cleared away because the table was full and not comfortable for a meal, but they simply ignored me. I can overlook the construction site in the middle of the restaurant. Our first and last visit there.

The vegetables accompanying the schnitzel were covered in hollandaise sauce, which wasn't listed on the menu. Some of the fries also had the sauce on them. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat anything except the steak and some of the fries. The schnitzel was also unusually dry and tough. It's a shame, because the service was excellent.

We had a fantastic evening at the Gilden Brauhaus! The freshly tapped Gilden Kölsch was ice-cold and perfect for the warm summer day – served in stylish glasses with the appropriate "Prost Veedel" charm. The food was excellent: I had a crispy schnitzel with fries and a small salad – all delicious and freshly prepared. My friend treated himself to the grilled platter, with plenty of meat, crispy bacon, and herb butter – it's heart-pumping! The portions are more than fair and really filling. The atmosphere on the terrace was relaxed, the staff attentive and friendly – that's what you imagine a successful evening in Cologne to be. We'll definitely be back. 🍻 Cheers to Cologne!

We celebrated a birthday there in January, and all of our guests were disappointed. The vegetables were frozen and partly cold, the sauce was ordered separately and only arrived later, and after repeated inquiries, the sauce was also cold. We ordered takeout twice. The first time, the apple pancake was quite good, and this time we ordered the minced steak and got spaetzle with "Geschnetzeltes." For the price, considering you pick it up yourself, I find it really ridiculous, and then you get another meal and you're not even informed!!! My husband had sauerbraten with dumplings, which was also swimming in grease. Sad. Better to skip the kitchen and just serve drinks! The "food" today was swimming in grease, unfortunately, you can't tell from the picture. I wouldn't even feed it to my cats. I would be ashamed to sell something like that as food!!! NEVER AGAIN

We've been visiting this restaurant several times a year for decades. Whether during the week, on weekends, during Carnival, or during holidays, we always experience impeccable service and first-class food. We've tried the menu, and everything is very good.

The food itself was wonderful. I'd love to give it a 4.5, but it's not possible. The menu says Jägerschnitzel, which in my dialect means something different than what was on the plate afterward. Service was a bit slow at the beginning, but as the evening progressed, it became very pleasant. Despite the 4 stars, it's highly recommended, and they have a wide selection of excellent dishes.

Large restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside. We were served quickly by a friendly lady. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant. The food was delicious and the bamboo shoots tasted especially good. The restrooms are very clean. Prices are ok. A good sign is that this restaurant is very popular. There's no need to talk about the quality. We can only recommend it.

So today is Tuesday, and therefore schnitzel day at the Brauhaus. The waiter is fast, and the cordon bleu is delicious, as is the salad. All in all, a solid performance, though the ambiance is a bit dated, but that doesn't matter, because it has to taste good.

Beautiful brewery with excellent service. I had the pork medallions with spicy sauce. The meat and sauce were good, but the fried potatoes could have been crispier, but that may also be due to the region. Overall, the prices were fair, hence the 5 stars.

The brewery has really gone downhill in the last two years! The food used to be better, and the service is also very patchy. Sometimes you sit there for 30 minutes without a drink.

We were at the Gilden Brauhaus for a small family and friends' silver wedding anniversary celebration. We had discussed the menu a few days in advance and were naturally excited to see the results. What can I say? Our expectations were far exceeded. The table was beautifully set and decorated, and the waiters were extremely friendly and helpful. The food, including the appetizer, was excellent, far above average for a brewery. The dessert platters were also amazing. All of our guests had highly positive comments about the food and service. A vegan dish was also prepared, and it left nothing to be desired. Overall, I highly recommend everything.

I really like the local food here. It's delicious, but I couldn't finish it because the pork leg was very big. The staff took very good care of me.

I met a friend here and we spent several hours in the beer garden. Despite being in the city center, the location was beautiful, and the service was good. The only drawback is the lack of public parking. However, you can certainly park in a nearby underground garage. All in all, a lovely afternoon in Cologne.

Wow, amazing and delicious food! The plates are generously filled, something we weren't used to. The price is completely justified. Typical brewery food. The menu is very clear, there really is something for everyone. Gluten-free and vegetarian food is not unknown here. They cater to requests, and the guest really matters. The chef himself comes to the table and asks if everything is okay. We've rarely experienced that elsewhere. Often, you don't even see the owner. The food (hunter's schnitzel with a choice of fries or fried potatoes) was truly delicious and plentiful. The ambiance is typical brewery flair. A bit loud at first, but it calmed down later. The noise level is just part of it. That's what makes a Cologne evening. The service is incredibly attentive, courteous, and quickly attends to the guests' needs. We'll be celebrating a milestone birthday there in July, we're so convinced. The price is also great! This brewery can be recommended with a clear conscience!

Highly recommended! The food was delicious and the schnitzel portions were good, but the pan-fried dishes could have been a bit larger. We would have enjoyed a good veal schnitzel, but they only serve pork here. The service was very friendly and quick. Nothing stands in the way of another visit.

I really can't think of anything I could fault here. I've been here for dinner and drinks two days in a row. Not even a single thing that would make me consider deducting a point. Very friendly staff, fast, on the ball, very good food, nice atmosphere. Please keep up the good work. Great value for money. If I'm ever in Cologne Mühlheim again, I'll definitely come back to eat and enjoy it.

That was a complete no-brainer - NOTHING!!! I ordered and received a knuckle of pork with mashed potatoes. The only thing that was okay was the meat temperature. That's hardly surprising, since the knuckle was overcooked. On the other hand, the crust (if you can even call it that) was a complete disaster. Soft as a piece of chamois leather. After a complaint, they went over it and briefly put a burner over it to at least give the visual impression that it was crispy. Folks: This thing had been sitting around the convection oven for hours, and a little burner didn't make it any better! The mashed potatoes and sauerkraut were only lukewarm and lacking in flavor. So, not a real gastronomic highlight. The waiter tried his best to do his job within the limits of his abilities. Besides ordering drinks, we even had to pick apart the computers ourselves for a group of six. All in all: a disaster - I visited the place twice: the first and last time. I'm deliberately not rating the lack of parking spaces, because otherwise I'd only get one star.

How can I best put it?! I've never seen such unfriendly waiters before. We wanted to have a drink in the beer garden around 10:30 PM because it was still warm enough to sit outside. Waiter 1 wanted to seat us in a dark corner, but we opted for a table in the light and were met with a groan. We were skillfully ignored by the waiters outside; we didn't get a menu, nothing at all. Then, by chance, a waiter came from inside who also didn't offer us a menu, but at least asked what we wanted to drink. Waiter 2 (who was walking around outside the whole time, constantly staring at me) didn't even think to bring us a menu. At one point, I was asked as I quickly passed by if I wanted another beer, and whoosh... he was gone. Such terrible staff. Absolutely disgusting. Just think about it... Hot food until 11:30 PM and open until midnight. Never again!

I agree with Claude Bukovski's assessment. The same thing happened to us and I'm super disappointed, we haven't eaten there for a while and were really looking forward to it, but we're not driving 40 km more to do that. Too bad.....🤷‍♀️

First of all, the positive: the staff is really nice, you don't have to wait long for the food and the plates are really big and well filled. Everything tasted good too. What I think is a real shame, I had already looked online in advance to see if there were alternatives for vegetarians. There wasn't much but I was still convinced to come along. Today (holiday) there were only a few dishes left on the menu, but unfortunately nothing at all for vegetarians. Which meant that I only ate one portion of fries, which I had imagined would be different when I went out to eat. These days it's not that unusual that there are people who don't eat meat for various reasons. They don't have to be vegetarian substitutes. But maybe vegetables or something...

Simply recommended for anyone who likes something hearty. Great service, great food and good prices. As a group of 9 people, we reserved a table in advance and had fun. The approximately 2.5 hours on site definitely paid off for us and a new visit is very likely when we are nearby. Top performance to the Golden Brauhaus, keep it up!

We would have liked to have had a drink at 11 p.m. The door was locked. Too bad..... There were around 17 other customers at the door with us. An employee came out and told us it was closed... According to their opening times it is open until midnight

After a long search, we finally found the right restaurant in Cologne. The beer is delicious, the service is friendly and it's nice to sit outside. The dishes are more expensive but the quality and the portion size is more than enough. In my opinion it's very Croatian and at the end there's a Julischka, thank you 🤩 Gladly again
