Gilden Brauhaus in Köln

We ate here today late at noon with a reservation and 4 people. The parking situation is difficult on site, it is best to go directly into the parking garage of the hotel next door. We even received a free ticket for parking in the brewery. The food was great. Typical brewery menu, as you would expect. Portions really good, prices also great. Very friendly staff. We'd love to come back. Everything was also doable with a wheelchair!

Very great German restaurant. Great meal, great staff! Recommending. We had already 3rd team-building there about 20 people and they do not want me to stop being amazed all the time. ;)

Well, what can I say! Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is rustic and the service was super friendly. Easy to reserve on site or online and the food was delicious! We had the goulash soup first because it was strong and tasty. Then we once had the liver, which was so tender that it fell apart on the tongue. The other dish was the Kölsche Jecke Burger, which was also incredibly good. Both dishes were in a huge portion. We were both full and happily rolled back to the hotel. Thank you dear Gilden Brauhaus and greetings to the service and kitchen.

German food, not far from the highway. We stumbled upon it on the way to our ski resort. We like the food served, service is fast and many waiters always walking around to take your orders. We ordered a jagerschnitzel , pork with dumplings and a warm Appel strudel. Didn’t disappoint us at all. We will come back again next year!

The employees are very friendly. I had the grill plate. The quality has definitely decreased, but the price has increased significantly. The atmosphere is, as usual in the Bauhaus, stuffy and stuffy. At least there are a few parking spaces in front of the house and it is easily accessible.

Very friendly and very attentive service. Overall, a delicious meal. The vegetables were a little too soft. Rump steak was a bit too raw for medium and pancakes with the sauce were normal.

I haven't eaten as badly as I did today in this brewery for a long time. What was ordered was Zurich-style Geschnetzeltes, which came with a thin, watery Maggi sauce with mushrooms (you had to look for them too) from a can and tough meat. There were also frozen hash browns and a salad that was drowned in sauce. The fresh vegetables on the schnitzel are also frozen and drowned in cans of hollondaise sauce. It's a shame to even charge money for such a meal! Only the service was friendly and quick, hence 1 star 🌟

The waiter was very polite. But the food wasn't that good.The meat was very hard and looked very black. My teeth had difficulty chewing it. The only thing to eat were the fries and the salad. It was the first time I was at home with a stomachache I went to bed and the vegetables were still half raw. The brewery was well attended but very loud.

Today we spontaneously went there for dinner with 6 people and our kids. We spontaneously had a craving for knuckle, which has always been very tasty. Today was a disaster. Unfortunately the knuckle was totally dry and inedible and the taste was simply not good. The coleslaw beforehand was also really not tasty this time. It was all like food had been warmed up somehow. It's a shame, we enjoyed eating here often. A good knuckle nearby. Unfortunately not good at all today. The waiter did ask at the end if everything was tasty, but I think he was a good host, noticed every now and then that the plates with the knuckle were still full and perhaps offered an alternative. Too bad. First of all, no more knuckles...

The place is somewhat inconveniently located, right on the Clevischer Ring, right behind the police station and next to a large hotel. The inside is based on an old Kölsch brewery. which on the one hand feels wrong to me, but also looks nice. The service is okay, a bit brisk, but also typical Kölsch. The food is Brauhaus food. There could be more vegetarian dishes such as a vegetarian schnitzel or burgers. Unfortunately, the classic vegetable pan is a bit boring for vegetarians, in my opinion

Everything fantastic!!! Superlative food, good and tasty beer (but I must say that it is normal here in Cologne to find a good beer) and friendly and helpful staff. They even packaged up leftover food for us to take home so I could enjoy it while I'm writing this review. In short: if you happen to be in Cologne or the surrounding area you absolutely must come and eat here! (Kitchen open from 11.30am to late at night).

I can only warmly recommend the Gilden Brauhaus in Cologne Mülheim! Our visit was overall positive. The food was really tasty - the classic dishes tasted fresh and well prepared. We were particularly impressed by the Rhenish specialties and were perfectly seasoned. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. We felt welcome from the start and the service staff were always open to our requests. The waiting times were also pleasantly short, which we really appreciated, especially on a busy evening. The Gilden Brauhaus offers a great ambience that is both cozy and inviting. It is the ideal place for social evenings with friends or family. All in all it was a great experience and I will definitely come back.

The food itself was good. We had the Jägerschnitzel, which came with a small salad as a starter. The waiter didn't seem to care. We were still eating the salad when the main course was already put on the table. The waitress didn't seem to care at all that we were still eating salad. In addition, the schnitzel wasn't really hot and some of the fried potatoes were fried too dark.

The food was very tasty, but the champions could be found in the sauce. As soon as we had the last fork in our mouths, the plates were cleared away before we could even swallow. That was disturbing. Went there again today. Food was very tasty again, service a little better than last time.

Delicious food with a large selection, friendly and service-oriented staff. The Kölsch glass doesn't stay empty in front of you for long. The only negative point: very loud (conversation at the table is hardly possible) and very crowded and cramped. Rather unsuitable for wheelchair users or people with a walker.

We ate here with our family (3 teenagers). We love the German atmosphere and cuisine. But upon entering the children were not impressed by the atmosphere. "It looks like a roadside restaurant." The food was also found mediocre. No wafer-thin schnitzels that we love so much. The staff, mainly men, work hard and do their best. The price remains German and fair. Actually the first time that we have not left a German restaurant completely satisfied. More of a tent for larger, mainly drinking groups.

Wir waren hier zu dritt an einem Samstagnachmittag und es war nicht besonders voll. Das Essen kam sehr schnell nach der Bestellung und war noch gut warm. Leider war es zu deutlich das mit zugekauften Produkten gearbeitet wurde, dies gilt für die Knödel zur Gans und ebenso die Sauce dazu. Das Schnitzel war ok, aber mehr auch nicht und die Gänsebrust zu trocken, ebenso die Keule. Fazit: wir werden hierher nicht mehr essen gehen, da der Eindruck doch zu negativ war.

Good morning. A top address, a visit is worth it. The staff are very friendly and despite the stress they still have a good saying to say. The food was great, so it's been a long time since I've had such a good gypsy schnitzel (I know, you can't say more, but I don't care). Actually too cheap for such good quality. You are welcome to take more from me. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the noise and the location in the store. (There was a shooting guild present). We were there on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere is classic brewery, which we really like. It wasn't too loud, even though it was well attended. Service also very friendly. At the end there was also a schnapps on the house. There is actually one point deducted for the food. We had the sauerbraten and the knuckle. The sauerbraten was great! The knuckle is probably stored frozen because it was warm/hot on the outside and completely cold on the inside, so it went back again. What's unfortunate is that we then had to eat separately. But service responded well, the food came back warm and the portions were a bit larger. Conclusion: I can definitely recommend the restaurant. The cold food thing went stupid, but hopefully it won't be the norm :)

The service and the ambience are great but I am extremely disappointed with the food. I got bagged dumplings and a completely dry goose leg. The sauces are very thin and remind me of the powder sauces that you can mix. My companions' food was no better. The fried potatoes have a raw aftertaste and the sliced ​​meat is also dry.

Typical brewery. Unfortunately, the food was average. Fries were not cooked through, schnitzel from the deep fryer. Salad with brown spots and ready-made sauce. The service was very friendly and also wanted to have the fries fried. For almost 20 euros I can expect something different.

A great restaurant to spend a cozy evening with friends. Really great and attentive service, the food was really good and you can tell that the chefs (or cook 😉) know their craft and enjoy doing it. A funny idea is to have the menu in the form of a newspaper, which also provides information about the history and production of Cologne beer and the house brand.

Wir waren zu einem Geburtstag eingeladen und hier gegessen. Die Auswahl ist groß und die Preise akzeptabel. Bedienung sehr nett und die Gerichte sehr lecker. Man merkt, dass die Bratkartoffeln noch selbst gemacht werden, auch das Spiegelei. Das ist heute nicht mehr selbstverständlich, bei vielen vorgefertigten Speisen, die eigentlich nur warm gemacht werden. Hier nicht, hier werden die Gerichte noch wirklich gekocht, was man auch schmeckt, also sehr zu empfehlen.

I ate a rump steak Braumeister style (No. 42 on the menu from 07/2024) and haven't eaten something like that in ages. Many thanks to the team! Another note: The restaurant is run by a Croatian family and “Julischka” can be recommended as the house specialty when it comes to schnapps.

Het grote terras is perfect voor zonnige dagen, waar je kunt genieten van je maaltijd in de buitenlucht. Wat echt opvalt bij Gilden Brauhaus is de vriendelijke bediening. Het personeel is attent en zorgt ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Dit, gecombineerd met het heerlijke eten en de gezellige sfeer, maakt het een plek waar je graag terugkomt. Wij zijn zeer tevreden met ons bezoek aan Gilden Brauhaus en kunnen het iedereen aanraden die in de buurt van Keulen is!
