Für eine Gruppe (12 Personen) hatten wir den Abend im "ZAB" reserviert. Service war sehr umsichtig, Essen schmeckte gut - mit ausreichend großen Portionen. Insgesamt ein runder Abend, wobei ich zum Abschluss einer 4-stelligen Rechnung einen kleinen "Dankeschön"-Trunk auf Kosten des Hauses durchaus für durchaus angemessen gehalten hätte ...

There were 8 of us in the old brewery near Cologne meets Zillertal and we had a 390 euro cap. The waiter got a tip of over 20 euros and became quite rude because he said that it was far too little. We were stunned and speechless. After all, you are not obliged to give a tip. We weren't the only table where it happened like that, It's a shame actually. We won't be coming back and would rather give our tips to people who are a little happy about it. The food was good and can be recommended.

Were there with the company and it was solid. The food we got from the buffet was very tasty and the Kölsch was also tasty. What really stood out was the phenomenal service, thank you for the good humor and the attentive refilling of the Kölsch sticks despite the group size!

Mit 12 Kollegen nach einer Tagung waren wir dort abends essen. Das Personal war freundlich und hat meine Kollegen ständig mit Kölsch versorgt. Als Nicht-Bier-Trinker wurde ich nicht Blödheit angeguckt, als ich ein Mineralwasser bestellte. Das ist in Köln anscheinend nicht normal. Mein Jägerschnitzel war gut. Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

Very attentive service, the Kölsch wasn't even empty when there was already something new. That's how it has to be! The food also tasted very good and the portions were good. It was very loud at times because there were a lot of people there talking. But this is part of the brewery atmosphere. ;)

Ich habe noch nie so ein gutes Pfifferlingschnitzel gegessen. wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient worden. Der preis war völlig okay für die gute Qualität.

Wir waren am Samstag im schwach besuchten Brauhaus zu Gast (5 Tische belegt) Das Team musste 2 x aufgefordert werden uns zu bedienen. Beim Reinkommen standen mehrere Servicekräfte an der Theke und haben uns wahrgenommen bzw. zum Tisch gebracht. Als eine Maus durchs Lokal lief , die von mehreren Gästen beobachtet wurde, war das Team nicht wirklich bemüht etwas zu unternehmen. Eine Maus läuft nicht freiwillig auf ein Kehrblech zu 😂 Daß es dort, wo mit Lebensmitteln gearbeitet wird, zu solchen Problemen kommen kann, ist verständlich. Dann sollte man aber auch vor den Gästen bemüht sein etwas zu unternehmen. Es macht keine Lust auf einen weiteren Besuch. Wer im Service arbeitet sollte auch Service bieten. C und W

Das Essen war sehr lecker, ein paar der Gerichte waren jedoch etwas sehr salzig. Die Bedienung waren sehr freundlich.

Unfortunately no more vegan food in summer. It's a shame because it was super tasty and imaginative. But now there is some again. Absolutely delicious!

Um 19.00 Uhr haber wir unsere Essensbestellung aufgegeben. Um 20.15 Uhr war das Essen immer noch nicht da. Danach haben wir die Bestellung storniert und sind zur Konkurrenz gegangen.

Eat, drink well. Prices on the menu are excessive. You should be careful that you get exactly what you ordered. The kitchen tends to forget individual ingredients.

Der Küche gehört ein besonderes Lob. Die Schnitzel waren von besonderer Qualität, daß Kotelett stand dem in nichts nach. Himmel un Ärd waren zum Zungeschnalzen. In einem so großen Betrieb noch nie so gut gegessen. Danke dafür.

The food, heaven and earth, is no longer what it was. The black pudding comes with a plastic peel. It doesn't taste good at all anymore. I can't recommend it to anyone. Go somewhere else next time.👎👎

The ZAB is one of our favorite breweries in Cologne. We recently went here to watch football and really enjoyed it. Even though the store was completely full, the service was great and quick. The food is good. Veggie selection is quite good. Of course not particularly cheap, but what brewery is?

Beautiful. Delicious Kölsch. Nice Köbes. Spaetzle with cheese and green salad was very tasty and so was schnitzel with fries. We can only recommend it.

Da ich mehrere Brauhäuser in Köln bereits besucht habe, kann ich nur sagen das mir Ihr Brauhaus gut gefallen hat. Besonderer Dank gilt der sehr netten Bedienung die uns hervorragend betreut hat.

Absolute recommendation! A very nice brewery with delicious Kölsch (Reissdorf!) and very good and tasty food. Ambience very inviting and cozy. Service is always very nice, quick and friendly. Regardless of whether it's the European Championships or carnival, it's always worth a visit!

Food goes like this, cordon bleu very dry, liver average. However, the service was top, despite the stress. European Football Championship Germany game, thanks to our friendly service!!! Reservations possible without any problems, good view of the game. Conclusion, we've been there many times and that won't change, at least for a few delicious beers :-)

One of the best breweries in Cologne

For me a first time visit, my two boys, residents of Cologne, had visited previously. An old traditional style establishment, one sensed a good atmosphere on entering. Nice welcome by very friendly Boss/Head Chef and his staff, the service during the evening was very good. Traditional fayre which was price friendly and freshly prepared and cooked. My Haxe was exceptional, decent size and meaty, not dry or overcooked at the same time giving a wonderful, crispy crust. A great evening, value for money, great service. Will definitely look to visit again on my next visit.

The Reissdorf brewery was founded at this location at the end of the 19th century. Today a Cologne brewery with a typical ambience, good food and drinks.

I've been a regular guest for many years and the ZAB has now become something like my second living room. Delicious Kölsch, delicious Stüsser, good food and a good atmosphere. Sunday afternoon. Order two Kölsch and food for two. Beer received, food: asked after 30 minutes?. Answer, I have to look! Asked again after 45 minutes? Answer, we forgot them with the food!!! Why go again? No thanks. Never go there again!!!

Es war rundherum ein sehr netter Abend. Wir hatten eine super freundliche junge Bedienung. Das Essen mehr als gut für ein Brauhaus. Getränke, zackig und kalt. Was will man mehr!

Solid brewery with the Cologne classics, but nothing extraordinary and you can find better quality even in the city center. The service is a bit overwhelming. Overall, a recommendation if you want to eat something Cologne in the southern part of the city. Interior a bit dated. There are a few tables on the street, which is a good place to sit and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Severinstrasse. Halver Hahn always works. The vegan Maultaschen were okay.

The knuckle wasn't the real thing, it lacked real mustard and sauerkraut. Otherwise very well located and a nice atmosphere.

From the moment we entered Altes Brauhaus we were greeted by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The historic ambience, combined with a modern touch, immediately created a welcoming feeling. The menu offered an impressive selection of traditional Cologne dishes that were perfectly prepared. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Reissdorf Kölsch. Freshly tapped, it was the perfect accompaniment to our meal and rounded off the culinary experience. The service was impeccable - attentive but not intrusive. We felt valued and well looked after, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We recommend the Altes Brauhaus to anyone who is looking for authentic Cologne hospitality and excellent cuisine. A must for locals and visitors alike!

So far everything was good, only the meat rolls didn't have fresh meat but rather onion meat, which I don't think is that good.

Sehr gemütliches und sauberes Brauhaus . Das Personal ist super nett und sehr sympathisch. Ich hatte einen Metthappen bestellt und bekam ein Roggenbrötchen mit Mett aus der Mettwurst . Nicht so wirklich lecker. Danach hatte ich dicke Bohnen mit Speck . Die Bohnen und der Speck war lecker aber fertige schon vor geschälte Kartoffel gehen gar nicht . Ich bin Kölner und bin im Severinswall zur Schule gegangen , wohne aber schon einige Zeit in München .

Today I've been there again for a long time, I always used to eat very well there, I prefer classic brewery cuisine in breweries and decided on Himmel un Ääd, which was always excellent, this time I was extremely disappointed, the black pudding was thin and completely in an artificial casing, not fried until crispy, but just tossed through the fat and absolutely tasteless. I hardly ate any of it and unfortunately the waitress didn't elaborate on it. My husband had cordon bleu and that wasn't really a highlight either. The other people's potato pancakes at our table were okay. A young waiter was very friendly and approachable, as you would expect in a Cologne brewery, but unfortunately he was suddenly no longer there. We probably won't be going there any time soon.

Worth a visit every time. We were lucky to get a spot on Saturday evening. The staff is very friendly, relaxed and attentive. Himmel und Äd and a few Kölsch are a must, super delicious for anyone who loves hearty food.

So honestly. 2 stars 🌟 🌟 just turn a blind eye to it. The food was great and there was nothing wrong with it. Service from the waiter was very good. The ambience of a brewery is completely ok. But!!! Waiting over 1.5 hours for 5 meals is definitely too long and really spoils this first visit. There has to be a different way and although it was full, not all the tables were!! The waiter's soothing words sound like mockery and mockery. Sorry dear brewery, but you have to work on it and it's not possible if the process comes to such a standstill due to a lack of staff or other problems in the kitchen. Because of reservations and full and what's the point that guests who came an hour later got their food earlier than us. And they weren't exotic dishes. Carving, knuckle, bacon pancakes. Ridiculous and I'm really disappointed 😞 about it. But the main thing is that the lid is full.🤨 Therefore only 2 stars 🌟 🌟 because of the waiting time! The small, sweet and blonde waitress is really an eye-catcher! I was really looking forward to the pork knuckle, but I couldn't order one because of the menu. It simply wasn't listed. But the sweetness with the golden earrings made you forget everything when you looked at her. The dessert (chocaumoissee) was very tasty, apart from the cherries. All the best to the pretty waitress! No problem with the looks! ;)
