Craftbeer Corner Coeln – great spot for beer variety in Cologne Cologne is famous for beer, but usually you find only the classic Kölsch, some Weissbier, or something Irish like Guinness. The variety is not so big. If you want real diversity and interesting craft options, go to Craftbeer Corner Coeln. They always have around 15 beers on tap, and the list is well selected: different IPAs, sour ales, stouts, and more. Everyone can find something for their taste. I especially like that you can order a flight of five beers, so you can try a little bit of everything before choosing a full glass. The tap list changes from time to time, so it makes sense to come back and discover new drinks. Besides the taps, there is a huge fridge with many bottles and cans from different breweries. It is easy to spend some time just looking and picking something new. In general, this is a place that beer lovers will really appreciate. Got shouted at by the barman for "jumping the queue" despite clearly queueing, clearly being next and with the people behind me in agreement. Even if I had accidentally gone to the bar without queuing there's ways of talking to customers, and this wasn't it. Didn't bother to stay for a beer. (Dear owner, I can not reply unfortunately. It was the evening of 1st Oct 2025)

A brilliant spot with a superb choice of beers where everyone will find their perfect drink. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful when we visited and the relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we needed after a day travelling. Definitely recommended and we were so glad to finally visit as we missed out last time we were in the city.

I’ve been to this beer café twice now, and both times the atmosphere was fantastic. It’s a great place to meet people, especially popular among those in their twenties and thirties. They offer a wide selection of beers and other drinks, and the friendly staff are always happy to help you choose. The rooftop is truly a unique experience and makes the visit even more special. I can definitely recommend trying their house-brewed beer!

Had a flight of some IPAs, lagers and sours. Great selection for a great price. Best sour was from Orca Brau, their beers are always spot on! They also have fridges full of fun beers to take away (with beautiful labels 🥰). Lovely atmosphere/ good space for hanging out with friends and chatting or playing board games (they provide!) would love to come back when I’m back in Köln.

Nice beer Keller with a great range of beers, and knowledgeable staff. Free WiFi with a password that sets the tone. Code of conduct in English in the urinal indicates a fair passing British trade but while I was here on Saturday afternoon at 6, it had six other people all German, all friendly.

This place is perfect for Beer Knurds! We struggle to find good craft beer in Germany, but this place has 15 rotating taps and an even larger selection of bottles and cans. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, but also very welcoming. The service was perfect (we sat at the bar) and the diversity of beers was really nice. They had a really nice playlist that kept the energy in the sweet spot of not too slow and not too heavy. Plus it's an easy walk from the Köln Hbf. Needless to say, we'll be back and I highly recommend visiting.

The prices could be a bit fairer, but that's probably due to the old town location.

I stumbled upon the Craft Beer Corner by chance and, with some friends, tried four of the eleven beers on tap. All of them were delicious and reasonably priced! Our waiter (with a braid and a beard, I think his name was Dennis) was super friendly and told us a lot about beer. We'll definitely be back!

Went in search of gluten free beer after seeing a review that said it was the only place in town for a gluten free beer. Key word here is "a." There was exactly one on offer in the case and it was from New Zealand. (Read up and found it's German beer laws that are the issue) Husband was able to try a few beers and really enjoyed. Bar tender nice and helpful. Pretty basic low key bar setting. Not really food on offer, just a few snacks.

Nice place to try beer in Altstadt

I really liked the cozy and authentic atmosphere of the craft beer shop, and the staff was friendly as well. There was plenty of seating, and numerous beer lovers were enjoying their glasses. The only downside was that the beers we tried were neither special nor outstanding. While the selection was large, nothing really surprised us in terms of taste. Nevertheless, it's a nice place to have a beer with friends in a relaxed environment.

There's always a large and good selection of different craft beers on tap. Also well-stocked fridges with bottles and cans. Seating is available both inside and outside. Always packed on weekends, but you can almost always find a seat.

You can find lots of tastefull beer from all over the world and (that's the point) it's very cheap. And they have very good coffee also ;)

Nice shop, but the beer selection was relatively boring. The inevitable IPAs, a rather bland bitter, and a pretty good wheat bock. The fridges were mostly filled with fruit-infused beers with "funny names." Unfortunately, the staff wasn't all that competent either. I had hoped for considerably more. With 15 beers on tap, for example, a greater variety.

I celebrated my birthday at this location two weeks ago – and I am absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere on site was totally relaxed, the team implemented everything exactly as I wanted. The communication in advance and on the day itself was super uncomplicated, reliable and warm. Everyone was extremely helpful and proved to be great hosts. I felt completely comfortable – everything was just great! Thank you very much for this great day – I would love to come back!

Lots of students. 15 beers on tap, tried all of them and they were ok at best. Crowded and loud, had to stand outside on the street. No tables or chairs.

Nice little shop with nice staff and character. The own Wiess on tap is highly recommended. There are even a few covered seats in front of the door.

Lovely place, friendly staff, great events.

This place has an interesting interior, pleasant staff and a good range of drinks. There are several floors, two bars, and a very cozy balcony. From what I have seen, there are games available for a fun time with the company. Due to the fact that there is construction work nearby, it was a little difficult to find, but after noticing the balcony, they immediately understood how to solve this quest and went around on the other side.

Heated discussions could be had about the drinkability of craft beer, but that would be pointless. If you don't like one, you'll find alternatives and the upper floor can be booked for parties, so it's a great shop!

This place has the by far best selection of beers in all of cologne. What's not to great is one of the owners: I ordered a flight of beers at the bar. I sat down and waited. Waited a bit more. Then, about 5 minutes later, I saw one of the two owners put down a flight of beer at a different table at the other end of the pub. About ten minutes later, that same owner came over to the table, took that same flight of beers, briefly went out of sight, then seconds later went over to me and put it on my table - he obviously put it on the wrong table, but pretended he just poured me a nice fresh batch of beers. One of the beers was obviously already tried by the people from the wrong table - I pointed this out, he took the flight away and returned - having refilled only that one beer. Sorry, I get that craft beer is expensive - but it's not only expensive for you, the owner, but also to me, the customer - so having a flight of beers in front of me, which might have been tried by other customers, and which are definitely now flat because they sat out for a quarter of an hour, is an absolute no go. I will never visit this place again. Mistakes happen - that's ok. But then just own up to it and serve fresh, untouched beer. It's not rocket science.

Various miscellaneous beers, nice place

Very good pub if you fancy a more special beer. Both the 15 draft beers and the huge 3(?) refrigerators offer you a selection like a craft beer shop (of which there are unfortunately fewer and fewer in Cologne). Prices are okay and if you want to try a lot of different things, it is recommended to join others and try 3 bottles together, for example. Maybe even with someone stranger with whom you spontaneously share the standing barrel :D And if you're looking for something to do while enjoying your chilled hop tea, you can look forward to a large collection of games :) On the one hand, I would count the standing barrels already mentioned as less good points; here the glass plate placed on it sometimes slides around so much that you have to be seriously worried about the glasses and bottles that have been set up. And on the other hand, the interaction with the bartenders, who unfortunately, in my opinion, often come across as if you were bothering them. Once you have opened the conversation, they are ready to give advice and help, although it always seems a little forced and (very) slightly annoyed. Of course, this doesn't refer to the bartenders there, but it runs like a common thread through my visits (maybe it's me too).

A pub crawl with friends took us there. A nice place where you can have a nice drink. Different types of beer that you don't necessarily know. The atmosphere was such that you could have a good conversation. It's just worth a visit.

Superb bar. There is a great selection of beers from all over the place on tap (see examples on one of the images), and even more in the fridges. Friendly staff, more than happy for you to try a drop of the beers to see if you like it. Very busy at the weekend so get there early. We stood outside during our visit as busy inside but didn't mind as have heaters above the tables and we were dressed well for it! Very good, highly recommended especially if you're bored of Kolsch!

My daughters liked this place but I was disappointed. I expected a wide selection of local craft beer, but they have elected to offer a more international selection. If I wanted Scottish or Belgian craft beers I would go where they are brewed

A nice little craftbeer place that has a very good selection of beers on tap and in their fridges. The place has some board games to enjoy with your beer, and the overall atmosphere is busy in the later evenings. Reservations are recommended if you want a seat. Otherwise, you will be standing as it can get very busy. Overall, if you enjoy craft beer, then this is a recommended stop.

Contrary to the position on maps, not in the middle of a hole with construction fences around it, but next to it (entrance from the south). Solid range and comparatively fair prices.
