I ate there twice and was satisfied! Staff were always friendly and food was always good! But today, October 24th, I was there for the third time and was a little disappointed with the food. Like the second time, I had the Rambo 3 steak with fries. The steak was just a little seasoned. The fries weren't salted at all and there was no ketchup or mayo. I then asked for salt and ketchup and got both straight away. At least without being charged extra. But things were better back then. Ambiance, hygiene, service and prices were good as always.

As a passerby, I was allowed to use the very clean toilet for free.

Am Dienstag den 20.08. waren wir dort zu Abendessen. Die Bestellung wurde von vietnamesischen Azubis aufgenommen, die noch einige Sprachschwierigkeit hatten, was uns uns nicht weiter stört. Wir wollten sprachlich helfen, als der Restaurantleiter auf uns zugeschossen kam und anmaßend und belehrend meinte, das sei seine Angelegenheit. Das zurückgebende und neu gebrachte Paulaner Hell schmeckte dann angestanden und schal, das gebrachte Hamburger Schnitzel war wie ein angebranntes panisches schwarzes Holzbrett. Goethe hätte sich auch beschwert! Auffallend bekommt man dort keine Rechnung und wird der Betrag von einem Bildschirm angezeigt.

Posto decisamente teutonico con un sapore antico. Cibo passabile e prezzi modici. Simpatica la signora che ci ha servito e, anche se parlava esclusivamente tedesco, ci siamo intesi ugualmente.

Heads up, must make a reservation. Which is challenging for me, as someone who isn't fluent in german . Which is why i checked their website before we set off on our bike ride. We biked out to this restaurant with our kids, who were really looking forward to having a family meal together there, but we were told by an unfriendly host that we couldn't get a table - we would have been happy with a drink menu, outside on their patio but the restaurant was practically empty, it was 4pm on a saturday- very disappointing for our family, my young son started to cry from disappointment- very embarrassing to be turned away from a restaurant. We have family visiting next month and had planned to bring our extended family there, but this was not a good experience.

The roast pork is a delicacy. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable straight away and the service is super friendly, nice and very accommodating.

Delicious food... no, delicious food paired with very good and attentive service. We were a large group and got food at the same time. Burgers across the board were very tasty, pumpkin soup was “like at home”. Perfect end to the evening.

We were there for the first time. Nice location, near the lock. Very tasty food. The waiter was also very professional, calm and we felt “appreciated”. There were three of us (2 adults & 5 year old - without reservation). Prices were reasonable, especially considering quality and quantity. There are also senior plates for some dishes, as well as a separate section with vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately, the photos were taken after we had already started. Thank you

Very nice inn; friendly service - average :-) Roast pork

Wir waren am 15.10.24 mit unseren Enkelsöhnen (8 und 10 Jahre) zum Mittagessen dort. Sie bestellten beide Schnitzel mit Pommes, ich den Vorspeiseteller mit frittierten Calamares und Gambas. Mein Vorspeiseteller für 12,90 Euro bestand aus 6 weich frittierten Tintenfischringen und 2 kleinen Gambas. Die Schnitzel meiner Enkelsöhnen waren zwar reichlich aber zäh. Nur die Matjesfilets mit Bratkartoffeln, welche mein Mann bestellt hatte, waren lecker, allerdings kleine Portion. . Ich glaube ein Kommentar erübrigt sich.

Actually a nice excursion destination with an adjacent ferry to Tegelort. However, the motto that counts here is: quantity instead of class.

We were hungry yesterday after a long day outside in the fresh air and found this restaurant and cafe. We arrived around 4:45 p.m. The choice of food was far more than expected. We had the roulades, “the steak with a difference”, the schnitzel with mushrooms and the daily special: 1/4 duck with potatoes and red cabbage. All 5 meals were delicious in their own way. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage that came with my roulade. The mustard-onion-cucumber sauerkraut was also a bit heavy on mustard, but it still tasted good with the steak. Certainly also to grease the roulade. I found it tasty, at least in combination. 😅 You can definitely do it again for a detour. The service is also very nice and attentive. The dessert was also delicious. A sweet ending to a nice day with our friends.

Really nice German corner! Everything felt as if I was in an advertisement on tv. The food was great, something I can sadly not say often about German cuisine. The staff very welcoming, they gave a sense of being invited for a family lunch. All together fitted perfectly with the restaurant itself.
