The staff is attentive and very friendly. We had a great time with our waitress 😊
Everyone enjoyed the food and the drinks. The ambiance inside is particularly well-designed, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere.
You can only eat what you bring as food and drink, like a picnic. There is no business inside. It is a very peaceful, quiet, magnificent park where people move freely. It is right in the middle of the district.
When you enter, the restaurant impresses with its elegant, sophisticated ambience. The interior appears warm and inviting and creates a feeling of well-being. The food is beautifully prepared and very tasty. Had a brewery schnitzel (with mushrooms), a Black Forest mug and a coffee. The mushrooms were not canned and were fresh. The cream sauce is a real culinary delight. All in all, the cuisine was upscale and far beyond what was expected. The price/performance ratio is also very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and, above all, very attentive and accommodating with the guest in mind. I was more than satisfied today and can only warmly recommend stopping by there. I will definitely go back. I have rarely felt so well looked after.
Always delicious and particularly inexpensive at the lunch buffet (vegan option always included)
We have been eating here weekly with colleagues for years.
Nice staff. Beautiful rustic facility. Personally, I think it's a bit expensive, and the food tastes good, but not particularly special. I think the salad bar is great (the potato salad is highly recommended). I had the “Lothar Späth plate” for the main course and apple fritters with vanilla ice cream for dessert. As I said, both tasted good but they weren't the best German cuisine. The staff was very great!
As a frequent guest at the old Henninger Tower until the 1980s, I was thrilled by the new one. An exceptional meal, a fantastic ambience and very friendly service! It's a shame that the former Henninger and Binding breweries at the foot of the tower are history! But that applies to many things in Frankfurt.
We booked a table for eight people three weeks in advance.
When we got there, they unfortunately only gave us a table for five, with three additional chairs crammed in. It was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable, even though there were plenty of tables available.
The reason given was that they didn't want to open a second area. When we then asked if we could sit outside, they unfortunately declined, saying that they didn't want to open the outdoor area yet either (even though the tables were already outside).
Of course, it was also a weekend, so there was hardly anywhere else to go on short notice.
Luckily, after a quick call, L'Osteria was understanding of our situation with the Kartoffelhaus and quickly freed up an additional table for us, even though they were also quite full.
At least the Kartoffelhaus was okay with it when we said we didn't want to eat crammed into such a small table and would rather leave. (Hence two stars)
I can't say whether the food tastes good, so it's fair not to deduct any points.
